PETITION: Justice for Mary - innocent GSD poisoned to death.

Here is a post that is more of a local matter for Wausau, WI. A gal by the name of Sean D. Janas hated her boyfriend’s dog so badly that she over a period of time poisoned the dog with Drano, bleach, pills then applying the coup de grace by slitting the dog’s throat. There is a petition calling for the punishment to the fullest extent of the law. This might be a local issue but the call for punishment for this kind of animal cruelty should go viral on a national basis.

Below is the wording from the petition link. As of this writing there are updates through the eighth level. On the original the updates start backwards going to the first update. There are likely to be more updates which will start with the newest but for purposes of clarity I will begin with update one and ending with the last update provided to date.

PETITION: Justice for Mary - innocent GSD poisoned to death.

Mary - tortured and killed by Sean Janas

October 26, 2012

To: Marathon County Assistant District Attorney LaMont Jacobson, Marathon County Circuit Judge Michael Moran,Honorable Gregory E. Grau, Lamont Jacobson, Esq., Wausau, Wisconsin

We the undersigned request that you prosecute - Sean D. Janas - to the full extent of the Law. And also please investigate Mary's owner - S Kuick -as well for possible charges of ANIMAL NEGLECT!

Sean D. Janas poisoned an innocent German Shepherd (mix) called Mary with Drano and Bleach for months on end while she gleefully recorded her sadism in a diary. Finally, slitting Mary's throat.

Sean D. Janas is obviously a deranged and very dangerous individual who poses a real threat to society. It's time now for the courts to recognize how serious animal cruelty is and to treat abuse crimes against animals like this accordingly. Mary's case is one of the most horrific cases imaginable; Mary's suffering went on for months and she had no way to escape or had hope of any rescue. In Mary's memory and to honor her, we urge that Sean D. Janas be given the maximum penalty for her crime against Mary which would give her 5 years in jail. Anything less is just NOT acceptable.

Sincerely
(Your name)

"I have never hated an animal so much in my life, much less hate one or beat one. But the pleasure I get from watching her whimper in pain and cry out for help as I shove drano and bleach down her throat is like no other," Janas wrote.

** Another way to help...get JUSTICE FOR MARY.**

The Animal Legal Defense Fund -
www.aldf.org
It would be good if everyone could write to them as well.

Dear ALDF,

I am writing you about a case in which I feel you could do a world of good and which I believe would set an excellent precedent.

On 6/4/12, in Wausau, WI, the body of 4 year old Mary, a German Shepherd, was found. (I have included a link to the full complaint as written by the responding officer). Mary had been tortured for a minimum of months, as "lovingly" and "ecstatically" detailed in the journal kept by her abuser. Among other things, Mary had bleach and Drano forced down her throat repeatedly, was beaten to within an inch of her life. She died after having more Drano and/or bleach forced down her throat and then having her throat slit completely open.

The journal entries are as chilling in their delight as they are heart-breaking.
Sean Janas is charged with, among other things, felony animal cruelty and obstructing an officer. Though it is her first offense, the Wausau D.A.'s office appears to be taking this matter seriously. Janus faces 5 years in prison and a fine of $30,000. and the A.D.A. (Mr. Lamont Jacobson) has publicly stated that petition signatures, letters and other indications of public sentiment will be taken seriously.

I believe that the A.D.A. would welcome assistance (or even a call OFFERING assistance) in prosecuting this case.

Below please find links to the aforementioned Complaint, the petition and contact info. for the A.D.A. and the judge.

I know that you are deluged with requests for help, but as a layperson I think that a first-time offender receiving 5 years in prison and a $30,000. fine would at least ADD TO the precedent of serious consequences being meted out for animal abuse/killing.

Thank you for your time, consideration and for your ongoing work.
Sincerely..
