Pastor Facing Execution

Yousef Nadarkhanai
Youcef (or variations e.g. Yousef) Nadarkhani is still facing execution in Iran for being a Christian Pastor and former Muslim. The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) believes public pressure has held Iran from allowing the execution to proceed. In an email attributed to Jordan Sekulow, the ACLJ believes keeping Nadarkhani’s case public via the social media. Sekulow suggests using Twitter by adding a Nadarkhani-ACLJ feed on your account for updates. I don’t Twitter, so if you are like use other social media you are with such as Facebook and so on.

Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is facing new pressure to recant his faith in Jesus Christ.  Sources in Iran have reported to us that an Iranian judge is once again telling him to deny Christ or he will be executed.

Pastor Youcef is again refusing to recant.

He is still alive today because of international pressure on Iran – people worldwide raising their voices, demanding that his life be spared. We need to keep that pressure on, and the ACLJ is launching a new initiative.

From working closely with Pastor Youcef's Iranian attorney, we know that the more people who speak out for him, the more pressure is placed on Iran to release him. It is absolutely critical that more people learn about Pastor Youcef's plight.

Your voice has helped us get the White House, Secretary of State Clinton, Ambassador Rice, the United Nations and countless other elected officials and candidates for office to speak out for Pastor Youcef.

While we continue to work through legal and diplomatic channels to set him free, we are now turning even more to social media in order to build on a consistent and growing call to save Pastor Youcef's life and for Iran to set him free.

Take action. Lend your voice to Pastor Youcef by allowing the ACLJ to tweet once a day about Pastor Youcef from your Twitter account.

If you are not on Twitter, please share this opportunity to speak for this persecuted Pastor by forwarding this message and by using the "Like" buttons in this email. His life depends on it.

Thank you for standing with the ACLJ in defense of Pastor Youcef and persecuted Christians around the world.

Jordan Sekulow

ACLJ Executive Director

P.S. With increased pressure from Iran for Pastor Youcef to recant his faith, he needs your voice more than ever. Visit our new Nadarkhani web page and lend your Twitter account, your voice, to Pastor Youcef.
