Let's Give Thanks

Sarah Palin - SarahPAC foto
Thanksgiving is two days away as I write this moment. Sarah Palin via the auspices of SarahPAC has sent out a Thanksgiving email. If you read my blog posts it is no secret that I pray Palin runs for a national Office be it Senator, Representative or President. She is a true American Patriot concerned about the path President Barack Hussein Obama has taken the United States of America. Ergo it is with great joy I share her Thanksgiving message.

Let's Give Thanks

Friends,

Thanksgiving offers us invaluable time to spend with our family and reflect on our many blessings. In 1789, George Washington declared a day of national Thanksgiving for our new country to render unto God our "sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection."

But even before that first proclamation from a new nation, pioneers across America celebrated Thanksgiving as a time to give praise to God for full harvests and Divine Providence.

And indeed, America has been richly blessed. From coast to coast, we enjoy an abundance of natural resources, plentiful harvests, beautiful cities and our most precious gift of all—a people who value liberty and continue to stand as an example to the world of all that can be accomplished by a free and hard-working people.
SarahPAC-EmailBroadcast-2013 - Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, join me in a moment of prayer to give thanks for the thousands of American men and women in our armed forces who will spend Thanksgiving away from their homes and families, facing danger overseas to protect our way of life.

When we sit down to enjoy a family meal on Thursday, I will give thanks to God for the blessing of a strong and diverse family life that has taught me so much about loyalty, selflessness, and compassion. I will pray for God's continued blessings on my family, and on yours, and on this great nation of ours.

From my family to yours, God bless you and Happy Thanksgiving!

With an Alaskan heart,

Sarah Palin

What Shall I Tell My Grandchildren

Kennedy shots fired at Limousine
Norma Zager reminisces of the Baby Boomer past that was innocent then marking the Kennedy Assassination as the entry portal to the beginnings of a violent America. Perhaps the only thing I disagree with are the few repetitions of “guns, guns, guns”. Too many people think of guns as an evil that has entered American society in relatively recent history. The reality is that guns have been a part of the American persona from Colonial days, the new Articles of Confederation formed shortly after 1776, through the U.S. Constitution going into effect March 4, 1789 after ratification of 11 of 13 States (the last of the remaining two ratified in 1791) and through to the present day when American Liberals are attempting to subvert the Second Amendment. Nonetheless, Norma’s thoughts are spot on that American innocence seemed to experience an erasure.

Ari Bussel Intro

Dear Friends,

Fifty years ago, our nation lost its innocence with President Kennedy's assassination.

My parents, Dr. Joseph and Rachel Bussel, were married three days later.  To this day, they look back at the America we once were.Joe and Rachel Bussel 1960s

As we celebrate my parents' Golden Jubilee on November 26th, 2013, Norma captured the essence of the decades since 1963 in our newest Postcard:  "What Shall I Tell My Grandchildren?"

Pictures bring memories.  So does Norma's latest Postcard.  It is dedicated, with love, on this very special occasion to Rachel and Joe Bussel.

“Second Star to the right and straight on till morning…” Directions to Neverland

The anniversary of President Kennedy’s death forced me into a state of nostalgic self-examination and unanswered questions including one in particular; what shall I teach my grandchildren?

It is indeed a conundrum to have reached a certain age and still be in search of an identity.  Or perhaps be overwhelmed by the profusion of identities embraced then discarded throughout one’s lifetime.

At this stage, I am left with the ultimate question plaguing me in my grandmother years; who am I, and did I ever become whom I sought to be?

Can I truly separate the person I am from the incarnations I formerly assumed? Or perhaps I am just a jumble of ideas and beliefs meshed together to form some unrecognizable piece of sculpture? If faced with a mirror that reflects my soul, will I see a Picasso, distorted and oddly irregular yet perfect in its imperfection?

Thinking back over so many years it is apparent a grandparent has a responsibility to impart wisdom.  Ah, but can wisdom flow from the mind of someone who has twisted and turned through so many knowledge bases then morphed and reinvented herself more times than Madonna?

I don’t pretend to be unique in this challenge of self-discovery.  I believe it is the plight of baby boomers to travel a road fraught with curves and roadblocks. After all, we were set upon a path chosen for us, and we all veered to the side occasionally, some more often than others.

After World War II a new and special hope ran through the fabric of the American dream. Drunk with our own success and filled with youthful exuberance over a meteoric rise to become number one on the chart of nations, our parents saw a future that could be achieved, a path to be followed and a lifestyle to be embraced.

And they did.

With their new beliefs came a great hope for their children.  Our lives were planned, contrived and easily clarified.

The system was in place for a new America.

How could one not be filled with optimism after surviving depressions and wars then emerging victorious and powerful?

A new middle class became the foundation for the American dream.  Houses were built to reflect this new sense of affluence.

Women embraced their roles as housewife and mother in shiny new kitchens filled with colored appliances and homes filled with modern furniture. Television sets replaced radios and families sat together watching Ed Sullivan, Uncle Miltie or Chet and David deliver the news.

When bad things happened, we had heroes to avert evil.  Superman could save the day, Edward R. Murrow fought corruptors of the American system and Betty Crocker fed a nation.

Ah, but could this idealistic state endure?

The rise of the communist threat, predicted by Churchill and ignored by a naïve American president, changed the landscape.

Along with Howdy Doody’s smiling face and our morning Rice Krispies, came the sounds of digging as our neighbors built bomb shelters in their back yards. Our teachers escorted us to school basements to sit with heads covered beneath the pipes. In the end the greater fear we faced were the potentially dangerous effects from the asbestos wrappings.

I munched my morning eggs and toast watching something called segregation being challenged in Little Rock. Questioning why a little girl couldn’t go to school if she wanted without an army to escort her.

I was certain if someone told me I didn’t have to go to school, it wouldn’t require an army to keep me at home watching television.

We little understood the changes swirling around as we played innocently on safe city streets awaiting the Good Humor man or the bakery man to deliver the cakes and breads for the day while clapping for Tinker Bell to prove we believed in fairies.

America was a quiet place, safe and unfettered by crime, hate or vicious political battles.

It was simply a very simple life.
At least for some.

For unbeknownst to those who were lucky enough to be a member of this new American dream, festered an undercurrent of anger like a boil beneath the skin of the nation.

Civil rights marchers in Selma attacked by dogs, yes the world watched, but for us nothing changed, at least not yet.

We lived in a dream world: School, Sunday afternoons watching our fathers cut deliciously scented freshly mowed lawns and listening to the baseball game on the radio.

Hot summers sitting near a fan to capture the swirling warm air, unless you were among the lucky families to afford air conditioning.

Splashing about in a back yard plastic pool while the puppies chased their tails around the fenced-in yard.

Businessmen were making money and reinvesting it in second cars and newer, larger homes.

Charge accounts in department stores afforded teens that rode busses to the mall with friends a day of shopping and lunch. And perhaps even a new Elvis 45 record.

No one thought of the things one must think of today, things that never even existed in America then.

It’s difficult to believe that life was so innocent in the fifties. Fears were predicated on some distant threat of communism a world away.

I remember watching Nikita Khrushchev banging his shoe on a table at the United Nations screaming “we will bury you,” and I shook my head and thought, “what a nut.”

Then I returned to my idyllic existence, the life that had been created for me and I was expected to live out as planned.

I now realize that life ended on November 22, 1963.

That was the day the guns came out in America and never left.

Life changed dramatically after President Kennedy was killed.  It wasn’t just the horrific loss of such a beloved leader; it was that suddenly the entire world appeared so different.

The sense of peace, contentment and security unraveled and what was unseen was suddenly staring us all in the face. Evil stood on our doorsteps.  Murder, mayhem, assassinations became an endless stream in our lives.

It was as though the steady floor we once trod had now become an amusement park ride where the bottom is taken away and we are balancing precariously against the sides.

Death became a daily occurrence. Martin, Bobby, Marilyn, newspapers were filled with pictures of murders and riots, the news had changed and so had our perception of our lives.

We were ill prepared for what was to be.

The idyllic and spoiled existence of the baby boomer ended abruptly.   Instead of the Mickey Mouse Club and The Lone Ranger, we traded in our mouse ears for protests, Abbie, Gerry, trials, wars and civil unrest. A country so peaceful became a battleground filled with civil discord, crime and guns, yes, that endless stream of guns, guns, guns.

In 1967 cities began burning and my own was one of the first.  I watched Detroit burn before my eyes on a television once filled with Sid Caesar and Lassie.  Familiar streets I’d walked filled with flames and were lost.

I felt as though I was dragged kicking and screaming away from my own life. Leaving childhood behind is always a mixture of pain, disillusionment and angst. Watching the democratic convention of 1968 as the police heaved protestors from the streets is when I lost my innocence.

With apologies to Albert Einstein’s assessment for how the world will end, the world of our youth ended not with a whimper but with an explosion.

A new path loomed before an entire generation. Innocence gave way to a wakeup call that was heard around the world.

Aside from the usual angst of becoming a teenager and dealing with the issues of growing and maturing into adulthood, Baby Boomers not only faced a life change, but were forced to face their challenges in a new world. One filled with hate, guns, violence, unrest and unpredictability. If such a world had existed before it was not within our sight.

Sexual revolution and feminist movements changed forever the way we would watch a Doris Day movie and created new conflicts of values.

Were we Doris Day or Marilyn Monroe?
Were we the Mouseketeers or GI Joes?
Were women Harriet Nelson or Barbara Jordan?
Mores shifted and we paddled with exhausted arms to keep up with the tide.

Richard Nixon cast suspicion upon a political system we had never questioned. Viet Nam brought new pictures and words into our lives.  Mai Kong Deltas and napalm replaced “Yo Rinty” and Captain Kangaroo.

Guys left and never came home and the ones who did were treated as traitors, shamelessly cast aside as though they were criminals for serving their country. It was a far cry from the Life magazine cover depicting the return of World War II soldiers.

Who were we?
What did we believe?
What had I become and was it anyone I really cared to be?
If it seems as though I sat around attempting to answer these questions, I plead guilty.
If I said I had found those answers, I plead ignorant.

There is no pause on the remote control of human existence. No instant replays and no “do overs.”

I do know change is the only certainty of life. What is today will not be that new tomorrow we have no way of knowing.

Every generation lays claim to living in perilous times.

Perhaps it is just easier looking around at today’s world to accept the fact life, at best, is precarious and no time in history is ever without turmoil.

So what shall I tell my grandchildren? It seems they will know little else than this new chaotic and insane world? Will there be some respite in this new harsh life we have created?  I cannot blame them if I speak of peaceful summer afternoons or a world without terrorists and school shootings and they look at me as though I were telling a fairy tale.

They will need a new strength and a new worldview we never imagined, and my heart breaks for them. As every grandparent I must pray it will change and they will know innocence and peace, safety and security.

For even as I dream of peace I am faced with a reality show to rival any Bravo offering.

So I will tell them simply, “I love you, and you can do anything and be anyone you choose to be. Don’t squander too much time wondering who you are, just enjoy being you. One person can change the world for better or worse and no one can truly know who that person will be.  Never doubt it can be you, and if that is your goal, choose good.”

I am a Patriotic American

Chamberlain-Hitler & Rouhani-Obama History Repeating
Unless you are an idiot liberal, you would agree that the roll out of making Obamacare a viable national health plan was a calamitous disaster. Ari Bussel wonders if Obama is incapable of the successful management of his signature piece of legislation, how can he be trusted to make the world safer by being the prime mover behind negotiating nuclear peace with Iran so that we can give the psycho-Mullahs sanction relief to the tune of SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS?

I am a Patriotic American

Ultimately, only diplomacy can bring about a durable solution to the challenge posed by Iran’s nuclear program.  As President and Commander-in-Chief, I will do what is necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.  But I have a profound responsibility to try to resolve our differences peacefully, rather than rush towards conflict.

Today, we have a real opportunity to achieve a comprehensive, peaceful settlement, and I believe we must test it.  President Obama

What was achieved last night in Geneva is not an historic agreement; it is an historic mistake.  Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

I am a patriotic American.  Whenever I see our flag, my heart springs to attention, and I am filled with pride and joy.  Very little can unnerve me enough to shake my solid belief in this great country of ours.

On Saturday, the 23rd of November 2013, Bloomberg’s top headline read:  “Iran Agrees to Deal With Powers to Curb Nuclear Work.”  It was subtitled “Iran to Reap $7 Billion in Sanctions Relief Under Accord.”  CNN’s top headline:  “Deal Limits Iran’s Nuclear Program,” and Fox’s:  “Deal Struck:  World powers reach agreement with Iran on nuke program.”

Everyone was focused on Iran, except the White House website that still showed the heading “Working with Both Parties to Keep the Economy Moving Forward.”  The latest e-mail blast I received from the White House – part of the White House American Jewish Outreach Update – is from earlier this month, boasting a statement by President Obama on the 75th Anniversary of Kristallnacht and a speech by the President at Dallas Temple on the Affordable Care Act.

[The White House website was later to change with “breaking news:  President Obama’s Statement on Iran, the United States – together with close allies and partners – has taken an important first step toward a comprehensive solution that addresses concerns with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear program.”]

The President’s top priority always enjoys the full backing of the most sophisticated PR and outreach machine this great country of ours has ever witnessed.  Iran, apparently, is more a nuisance than the top priority.  At least that is how it seems from the attention afforded to it by the White House, resembling a disgusting task that needs to be carried out; an afterthought.

Clearly, the President is not very much interested in Iran, or its threat to the USA.  All that was necessary was an agreement, so that the Iranian “issue” can be put on the backburner.

There are much more urgent issues we face, such as the President’s historical legacy – Obamacare.  (The program, at the moment, is still suffering from “technical glitches” despite an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars in a website that does not work properly, not to mention a faulty architecture that will eventually bring its collapse and finger pointing at the Republicans and members of the Tea Party:  “It is all their fault!”)

Three more years from this November until the next Presidential election, and at the moment, the President is very focused:  Obamacare!  (It is not even a true concern to reform the healthcare system, just maintaining a legacy and not admitting a mess of colossal proportions already so clearly evident.)

Why should anyone worry?  Iran is far away and has repeatedly stated – contrary to all appearances and its abundance of oil as an energy source – that its nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes.  The Sanctions this Administration has put in place have been most effective, successful in causing remorse among the Iranian leadership and a reversal of course.  It all works.

Iran will say whatever the West wants to hear, while continuing to do exactly what it wants: accelerating development of its military nuclear program.

Indeed, given all the Administration under the current Commander-in-Chief achieved, we are witnessing “Peace in Our Lifetime.”  Let us focus on what is really important:  Higher health insurance costs; mass cancellations of policies for millions who were, until very recently, insured; hospitals and doctors pulling out of networks and Medicare recipients hurting due to cuts.  All this “noise” has to be dealt with quickly, lest it detract from the crowning achievement of Obama.

A negotiated peaceful end to all this unpleasantness with Iran!  Thirty-five years from the ascent of Khomeini to power and the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and finally a Peace Laureate manages to bring an end to decades of open hostilities.  Truly, I am in awe of the massive achievements by one person.  Would I be amiss admitting the Messiah is finally appearing before our very eyes, revealing himself to the world?

Some feel that President Obama just “threw Israel under the bus,” but I say differently:  The President of the United States of America is not entrusted with protecting Israel.  Israel is a sovereign nation, and knows how and when to protect itself.  (If it does not, well, then it – and it alone – will suffer the consequences.)  Israel must not expect, and definitely cannot plan, for America to do its bidding.

The President – glossy and glory speeches notwithstanding – never intended to do anything of substance against Iran.  Similarly, he never had any real intention of standing in the way of Syria’s Assad and the latter’s slaughter of hundreds of thousands of his own people. The world stood silent.  Why bother?

The President “showed determination and force” against an ally – Egypt’s President Mubarak – ushering in the Muslim Brotherhood’s ascent to power and control of the largest Arab country in the world.  The President ordered direct attacks in Libya, against a leader who repented and was working with us, the late Kaddafi.  (Where was the same determination and use of force and resources when our Ambassador and others of his protective detail were murdered?)

And Israel.  Again, Israel.  That is a difficult thorn indeed, only because of the all-powerful Jewish Lobby, AIPAC, that controls DC (please refer to a book about the Jewish Lobby and some statements by the Jews who truly care about America and are part of J Street), and all these rich Jews who support the Democratic Party.  For them, and because of them, we have to pretend.

What a great conclusion:  The Jews are at fault for the President having to take a tough stand against Iran!  Not Israel, but those super-wealthy, super-powerful Jews right here in America.  If it were not for them, life would have been so much easier, a negotiated surrender could have been achieved ages ago.

Forget about Iran.  They do not know what they are doing.  They use idle threats, not really intent on doing anything with their nuclear power.  In fact, they have every right, exactly like Israel, to have a full-fledged nuclear program.

Why should Israel have an arsenal it can use at a moment’s notice, and Iran be precluded?  What’s fair is fair!  Besides, there are enough crazies in Israel, not less dangerous to the world and to world peace!  (If Netanyahu didn’t possess so much clout with Congress, the President would put him exactly where he should be and declare him the real obstacle to peace in our lifetime, peace in the Middle East and the return of the Palestinians to their homeland and eternal capital of Al Quds.)

The President of the United States has to “make-believe” he is proactive so the Iranian “issue” can be set aside.  There are much more urgent things to which he must attend.  Thanksgiving is just around the corner, then Christmas and New Year.  What trips are planned?  Have thousands of members of the Entourage teams been invited to these all-expense-paid trips?  How about just a relaxing get-away using Air Force One to Martha’s Vineyard (too cold already), Hawaii, India or Africa?  Welcome to Beverly Hills!  You can enjoy a moment of rest with peaceful and protected shopping on Rodeo Drive!

There are endless parties to attend, a family and a Royal Dog.  Alas, the President is also the Commander in Chief, and there are still thousands of Americans around the world (time to get back home!).  Just recently we saw a disaster in the Philippines, and there, too, Israel was first.  First to respond and so effectively so.  The first baby to be delivered was called Israel and millions of hits (five million by the last count) were generated around the reports of the Israeli Consul General in the West Coast.  Those damn Jews!  First at everything!  They even managed to steal the glory from the President sending our military force and full might to extend a helping hand.

The Presidential Calendar is full!  Five days in Geneva have been overwhelming, truly exhausting even for a seasoned politician like our Secretary of State.  Time to get back home.  The days to Thanksgiving and Black Friday are drawing closer; let us stop wasting time on Iran.  Declare an agreement.  State the historic significance of our achievements, ease and eliminate the sanctions and let’s focus on what is really important.

Our allies in the Middle East and throughout the world are shocked.  Even France (usually characterized by their rush to surrender at the face of even the slightest hiccup) decided to take a different stand.

Our “allies in the Middle East” have long awakened to a new frightening reality, one in which the USA cannot be trusted.  Saudi Arabia sees something that our President does not, so it messes things up for him, for his plan for a peaceful holiday season.  Perhaps they simply do not understand the peaceful intentions of Iran and Iran’s right to achieve nuclear dominance (for “peaceful purposes” and nothing else).

A new coalition of the frightened is being formed.  Israel, France, Saudi Arabia, other countries in the Gulf.  Is anyone surprised that the fanatic Prime Minister of Israel is heading it, stirring trouble in peaceful and otherwise calm waters?

In fact, anyone with a bit of common sense and understanding of reality, and anyone who knows how to read what the Iranians are saying and analyze what is actually taking place in Iran, would conclude that the US-of-A has gone mad.  Apparently a previous history lesson – “Peace in our Lifetime!” – has been forgotten (or never learned at all).

If I, a patriotic American, did not believe Saturday night’s speech by President Obama, imagine what others, particularly Iran, countries throughout the Arab World and Israel, made of it.

I, at least, have given my President the full benefit of the doubt.

I would stand and defend our country to my last breath, and although I am registered with the Selective Service, we have not had a draft in recent memory.  I am just afraid my Commander in Chief has brought us a step closer to the beginning of World War III, willing to sacrifice whatever is needed, similar to the offering of Czechoslovakia in 1938.

Are YOU a Bigot if YOU Hate Islam?

Mahdi Antichrist
John R. Houk
© November 25, 2013

Here come the accusations of hater and bigot.

Islam is an evil religion. Its adherents love to call their faith the religion of peace. That is a bit of a deceptive moniker. There are a lot of Quranic suras that indeed extol peace and family; however an equal or greater amount of Islamic theology extols violence to those who refuse to submit to allah or to those who insult allah and the antichrist prophet Mohammed. The verbal anger in the newest suras of the Quran reflect Mohammed’s frustration of being rejected as a prophet by Jews and Christians. The rejection is easy to understand. Mohammed goes from calling the People of the Book (i.e. the Torah and Bible) as people to be respected as receiving – cough – allah’s revelations first to calling Jews and Christians as evil twisted deceivers of allah’s word who corrupted scripture ensuring their place in hell. So if you happen to see a Jew hiding then kill’em.

And so although I believe those who call themselves Muslims may be decent and upright in character kind-of-people, their theology when honored as pure is evil toward non-Muslims (aka kafir).

As an American devoted to the Freedom and Rights inherent in the First Amendment I have struggled with Islam as being a religion that should be freely practiced in the USA.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. (Bold Emphasis Mine - 1st Amendment to U.S. Constitution)

Americans are guaranteed to not have an established religion by the government AND Americans are guaranteed that the government will not prohibit the free exercise of religion. So how do Constitutional honoring Americans who are not Muslims deal with a religion in which a part of its theology is to transform the social-political nature of nature by force if necessary. In other words a devoted Muslim would not be off base towards his faith to fight against the U.S. Constitution as the basis for the rule of law by changing the legal foundation to Sharia Law. Sharia Law stands against everything the U.S. Constitution stands and in particular Sharia Law is a contradiction to the Constitution’s Bill of Rights (Amendments 1 – 10).

In Islam there is no Religious Freedom because Islam is supreme and the non-Muslim is an insult.

In Islam there is no Free Speech because if Islam, its deity allah and/or its prophet Mohammed are insulted punishment must follow up to and including the death penalty.

In Islam Non-Muslims cannot assemble peaceably especially to worship their faith openly because that would be an insult to the supremacy of Islam – punishment will follow.

If non-Muslims petition the government with a grievance that might be contrary to Sharia Law it would be considered an effrontery to Islam – punishment will follow.

AND this just addresses the First Amendment!

Islam is a religion that is beyond an individual seeking the spiritual answers to that which is divine. Islam is an ideological-political religion that absolutely demands the government to enforce the precepts of Islam as derived from the Quran, Hadith and Sira (Sunna). When you here a Muslim inform you that their Quran claims there is no compulsion of religion in Islam – it is a deception. If one chooses to retain their non-Muslim faith and are lucky enough to be a member of the People of the Book, you are not compelled to convert to Islam. The deception is – especially in a Muslim dominated nation – your life is made a living hell of humiliation and religious taxation that only the most ardent non-Muslims choose not to convert. That is how the Christian Middle East and North Africa changed from a Christian majority into a Muslim majority. Converting to Islam removed 2nd class humiliation status to the Muslim family of the Umma. So always remember the ‘Islam is Peace’ and ‘there is no compulsion of religion in Islam’ are deceptions meant to entice the kafir to enter Islam.

It is thus my opinion that Islam that adheres to a purist belief – i.e. an original loyalty to the early meanings of Islamic theology – should be banned in America as not a religion but as a political element dedicated to the overthrow of the U.S. Constitution. Frankly such a reform for Muslim-Americans is something they will not stomach. Just as Christians are taught the Bible is Holy and Jews are taught the Torah is Holy, Muslims are taught that the Quran is the irrefutable word of allah (what they call god). The difference for Jews and Christians is that our theology tells to submit to the ruling authorities as appointed by God even if they are heathen because the political authority is the instrument that administers right over wrong in society. If you do no wrong then there should be a peaceful life. Contrarily Islamic theology is to fight the kafir until they submit or fool the kafir until the Ummah is strong enough to force kafir to submit. Jews and Christians pray for peace. Muslims force submission to enfranchise an Islamic Supremacist peace. The Islamic political nature is contrary to the U.S. Constitution.

So I advocate a ban on any Islamic theology that is politically motivated to utilize violence to achieve the ends of destroying the U.S. Constitution. This is where the hater and bigot accusations should really begin to fly.

There is an essence of truth to the accusations. As a Christian I can say without any remorse that Islam is an antichrist religion. Islam denies the Sonship and Godhood of Jesus Christ. The New Testament specifically tells Christians that such a belief is an antichrist spirit. HOWEVER, the New Testament also teaches us to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute you.  So I can confidently say I hate Islam the theo-political religion but I pray for the peace and Salvation of all Muslim adherents.

Allow me to briefly switch gears on you. I have a different perspective on Jews. In Christian history Jews have often been vilified as Christ-Killers. Merely that sentiment alone would make Judaism an antichrist religion. HOWEVER, Christians forget that Christ came first to the lost sheep of Israel. At the Resurrection the disciples wondered if this was the time that Israel would be restored the Lord Jesus told them to the effect not yet and then gave last instructions to go into all the world witness of Jesus Christ first to “…Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Matt. 28: 18-20; Mk.16: 15-16; Acts 1: 6-8). The ONLY Christians when Jesus spoke to his disciples were indeed Jews. God’s Promises are to the Jews. Salvation is of the Jews. When non-Jews receive Christ Jesus they are engrafted (NOT REPLACING) into God’s Promises to the Jews. It is my unlearned opinion that although the majority of Jews reject Christ’s Messiahship now, there will be a time when they embrace Jesus. Remember the Twelve Apostles did not immediately believe Jesus Christ arose from the dead and the Apostle Thomas was the last hold-out in that non-belief. I believe the Jews of today are the modern doubting Thomases that will believe when they see the return of King Jesus. So I honor Jews as the Chosen People rather than as Christ-killers.

Now what was it that got me thinking about Islam and the U.S. Constitution and First Amendment Religious Freedom?

I subscribe to Sharia Unveiled. One of my favorite blogs has come across some information that the nation of Angola (western neighbor of Congo, Zambia & Namibia) has banned Islam from being legal. The government has even taken the step of destroying Mosques in Angola. Now it being Africa I suspect this will not be a non-violent situation in Angola.

The Angola government has had a Marxist-Leninist domination from about the 1970s. Apparently Angola place a new Constitution in 1991 and again 2002 that changed the government into a multiparty system; however elections seem plagued by corruption. The (Marxist) Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) has been the primary power holder since Angolan independence from Portugal in 1975. There had been an Angolan civil war off and on especially in the old Cold War days of the USSR vs. USA. As the word “Marxist” implies the Communism á la Marxist-Leninism was the dominant rule of law factor in Angola. Meaning not friendly to religion. Apparently after 2002 (and beyond) the still dominant MPLA eased up religious intolerance under an official democratic socialism rather than a Marxist dictatorship. However the way the Angolan Constitution is framed almost absolute power is vested into the Office of President. The President is chosen by the majority party in Parliament.

The power structure is important to understand the ability of the government to move against the Muslim minority of Angola. The Marxist influence the quarter century inspired the Angolan government to move against the legality of Islam when it determined that al Qaeda began using its influence among the 80-90 thousand Muslims via NGOs. So in Angola Islam is illegal to keep Radical Islam out. The only problem I have with this Angolan move is that if the government reverts back to an anti-religion policy that would include the shutdown of all religions in the despotic nation.

The fight against Islam does not seem to be exclusive to westerners.  According to the African press, Angola is determined to eradicate Islam from its territory.

Thus Muslims Luanda saw their mosque being destroyed.  The municipality of the town was radically breaking the only mosque in the city. Just days later, this is the Mosque of Viana was reduced to dust.

To excuse these unjust acts, the governor of the city said that the government of the country was not ready to legalize the construction of mosques. Similarly, earlier this week, the Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva said: “With regard to Islam, the legalization process has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Man, their mosques will be closed until further notice. ”

Now the main task of the Angolan government would destroy all the mosques located in the country because their status is considered “illegal”. This “illegal” status is further enhanced by the fact that the Muslim religion is considered contrary to the customs and the habits of the country. Therefore, leaders want the ban at all costs.

Although the proportion of Muslims is small, it prevents our Angolan brothers are suffering from this anti-Islam political regime. Allah assists and facilitates the Hijra!

A report has been issued stating the following:

“The legalisation of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights [and] their mosques will be closed until further notice,” said minister of culture Rosa Cruz e Silva.

The minister called Islam a “sect” which would be banned as counter to Angolan customs and culture.

Following the ban, there were unconfirmed reports that mosques across the vast southern African nation were being destroyed.

“This is the final end of Islamic influence in our country,” President Jose Edurado dos Santos told the Osun Defence daily.

Muslims account for less than 1% of the population of 19 million, while more than half of this former Portuguese colony subscribe to Christianity.

Clashes between the two communities are frequently reported in the local media. Muslims, many of whom migrated from west Africa and Lebanon, often face hostility from lawmakers in Angola.

Along with Islam, 194 other “sects” have been outlawed.

“Besides these, there is a long list of more than 1,000 applications to be authorised,” said Silva.

Sharia Unveiled About Page

  TRUTH!

…in a word, that is what sharia unveiled is about.

sharia unveiled is committed to seeking and sharing the truth.  In all things, there is only one truth.  There is no “middle ground” in truth.  There is no “compromise” in truth and there is no “tolerance” in truth.  There is no “leuke warm” in truth.  There are no “grey areas” in truth.  Truth is black and white.  Wrong or Right.  There is truth and everything else is just a lie.

We live in this world although we are not of it.

We live in a world of darkness, lies and deception.  We live in a world that protects, defends and rewards those who lie.  Why?  Primarily due to the fact that faith is being forced out of the world and evil is being invited in.  When we force God out essentially, we are creating a vacuum in society.  We are creating a void of empty space and the natural tendency is for that space to be filled.  The door has been left open and evil has been invited in.  Evil comes in many forms although rarely does it present itself as evil.  In most cases, it hides itself beneath a cloak of deception and a pretty name.  Sometimes evil even hides beneath the facade of “Peace and Love.”

We are dedicated to human rights.

sharia unveiled is absolutely and unequivocally devoted to the protection and defense of human rights.  There are READ THE REST
