Former TPE Member Johns Displeases Organization

I know of Deborah Johns as a Blue Star Mom who was battling Leftist defeatists about funding The Surge in Iraq (a successful outcome incidentally). I remember getting email alerts from her representing Move America Forward.
I am a Tea Party Movement supporter however I rarely follow the inter-Tea Party political infighting. Because of this I had no idea that Blue Star Mom Deborah Johns was also an Our Country Deserves Better PAC and Tea Party Express big dog. I recently received Tea Party Express updates defending their position on a GOP candidate for Office in North Carolina Democratic Party incumbent.
Evidently Johns supported Iraq theatre veteran Will Breazeale in the GOP primary over the eventual GOP winner Ilario Pantano. Johns’ gripe with Pantano is he was accused of murdering Iraqis while in the Service. Pantano was not necessarily cleared of the accusation but the powers that be in the military must not have believed there to be sufficient evidence to conclude a military trial to a successful conclusion. Military justice has taken hits over the last few years because Marines (Save one still persecuted Marine Sgt. Frank Wuterich) and SEALs were exonerated for war crimes accusations. Exonerations I might add that brought joy to Conservatives including yours truly.
Johns has read the transcript of Pentane’s actions and has concluded that he is a criminal bringing a bad name to military Patriots of the past and the present.
I know this post sounds like its leaning to an agreement with Johns; however really I don’t have enough info to agree with Johns or the Tea Party Express. I’ll let you read the Tea Party Express emails I received and you can check independently if Ilario Pantano is worthy to represent a new Conservative emerging Republican Party.

TEA PARTY EXPRESS RESPONDS TO ATTACKS!
Sent by: Tea Party Express
Sent: 10/5/2010 9:50 PM
Today many of you received an email from a bogus group called "The Conservative Update" attacking the Tea Party Express. The email is actually from two former employees of the Tea Party Express who were fired for cause. Their names are Deborah Johns and Kelly Eustis. We fired both of them when we discovered how bad they were, and then we all got to see this week how reckless they were when they launched an effort to defeat the conservative Republican for Congress in North Carolina, Illario Patano - who is also a veteran of the United States Marines, and instead support his Democrat opponent.
When we stuck up for Pantano we became the target of attack by these shameless people who have been operating under a number of front groups. And that's why they sent out the email you got today. You can read one press account to gain a better understanding - HERE.
We have learned that Ms. Johns was similarly fired from Combat Veterans for Congress shortly after her termination by the Tea Party Express.
Mr. Eustis and Ms. Johns even went so far as attempting to break into our office - which we were alerted to by building security, resulting in our filing a police report against them. They stole a part of the Tea Party Express email list upon their departure, but we have retained legal counsel to take action in this regard to get it back.
They also tried to gain access to the company we use for broadcasting our emails, when their own email provider shut them down for SPAM (as a result of them stealing their list) but as soon as our own email provider saw that they were doing they shut down their account and warned them never to even consider coming back.
So now these two individuals sought out a new email server, and set up this bogus "The Conservative Update" group along with a group called "One Nation PAC."
Here's what you need to do to take action:
1st) You should unsubscribe from any emails you receive from "One Nation PAC" by finding the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any emails they sent you but do so only after you report the email as "SPAM" to their current provider ChimpMail.
2nd) You can similarly unsubscribe from any emails you receive from The Conservative Update, or any other new front groups these individuals set up, by again scrolling to the bottom of the email and finding the "Unsubscribe" link.
3rd) We need to stand up for Illario Pantano against the despicable attacks by these people. You can make a donation to Pantano's campaign - HERE.
You can also email his campaign and let them know that we stand behind them and that we will refute any efforts by Ms. Johns or Mr. Eustis to smear and defame his good name and his campaign. Send emails supportive of Illario Pantano to: heidi@pantanoforcongress.com
Finally, to all of you who wrote in alerting us to this attempt to smear and destroy the Tea Party Express we want to say THANK YOU! Just as we're working through lawyers and law enforcement to respond, we are also working with other leaders of the tea party movement to take action against Mr. Eustis and Ms. Johns to ensure that no more conservatives are harmed by their efforts.
We never quite realized when we first launched the Tea Party Express how many people would try and stop our efforts to take our country back. We knew the liberals would oppose us, but we have been really disappointed to see how some in the political establishment, and how some subversive elements like Mr. Eustis and Ms. Johns, would behave and how hard they would work to stop our efforts.
When we saw Ilario Pantano's campaign attacked yesterday we knew we had to step forward and take action to defend him. And in doing so, we once again put ourselves in the spotlight and in the line-of-fire.
But that's OK, we're determined to persevere regardless of what is thrown against us, because our cause is right and just, and we will prevail in the end as long as we all stand united and fight for the principles we believe in!
If you have any other questions or comments about this matter please feel free to email our Director of Field Operations, Tiffiny Ruegner, who can speak quite clearly to all the issues involved in this effort to destroy the Tea Party Express and conservative candidates like Illario Pantano. You can email Tiffiny at: tiff.tpx@gmail.com

Important work to Help Sharron Angle in Nevada

Thanks again for all your supportive notes regarding the attacks against the Tea Party Express by a new front group trying to destroy the Tea Party Express. Many of you asked for a simple direct link to unsubscribe from their emails (via One Nation PAC and The Conservative Update). Here is that link - CLICK HERE.
Sadly this was not the only under-handed attempt by sleazy political operatives to hurt the tea party movement. As you may have heard, Sharron Angle recently met a slimeball named Scott Ashjian, the head of another bogus group - Tea Party Party in Nevada - asking him to drop out, as he would siphon votes away from her and allow Harry Reid to win the election.
The Tea Party Party in Nevada enjoys no tea party support. It's a total scam that Harry Reid and his allies apparently cooked up to split the vote (remind you of what we're facing in Alaska with Lisa Murkowski) and help Harry win.
Well, Scott Ashjian secretly tape-recorded his meeting with Sharron Angle, ran to the news media and smeared her, smeared the Tea Party Express. Again, he is doing Harry Reid's bidding. It's been awful to watch on the news this week - that man is such a dishonorable thug, and we here at the Tea Party Express figured this out early on. We even put out this ad exposing Scott Ashjian - WATCH IT HERE.
And guess what? Scott Ashjian was back on TV doing interviews this week where he called the Tea Party Express... get ready for it... RACIST.
Yes, the favorite smear by liberals of the tea party movement repeated once more.
We've been upping our expenditures in Nevada for the past few weeks and we're going to do even more.
So please, support our push for Sharron Angle - we're going to stop the Lisa Murkowski's, the Harry Reid's, the Scott Ashjians, the One Nation PACs, and every other dirty, slimy group or individual that tries to undermine our fight!
You can support our campaign for Sharron Angle by making a contribution online - HERE.
We're hoping 500 people can contribute $100 or more within the next 24 hours.
As always, if you prefer you can mail in a contribution via U.S. mail to our headquarters:

TPE – Sweep the RINOs OUT

John R. Houk
© September 15, 2010
The Tea Party Movement is a political force stomping for Conservative values and Conservative principles in America. The Tea Party Movement began as an anti-exorbitant tax movement and anti-big government movement. It seems where the various Tea Party organizations diverge from each other is on minor issues such as embracing Christian values and Original Intent of the Constitution. Not that any Tea Party organization is against Christianity or Original Intent but may not wish to wade into the waters outside of taxes and big government. Bill Lindner wrote about Tea Party differences and agreements of which I don’t necessarily agree with; nonetheless he provides a decent picture of the minor disagreements among Tea Party organizations.
Whatever differences that exist among Tea Partiers one thing is evident. The Tea Party Movement is reawakening Conservatism as a focus in America. The Tea Party influence I find most gratifying is the cleaning of house within the Republican Party. The politicians who are Republicans (i.e. Conservatives) in name only (RINO) are being swept out of Office as incumbents and as candidates in general during the various State Primaries in the present 2010 election climate leading up to November 2nd.
I am on the list of a Tea Party organization that was given the boot from the largest Tea Party umbrella association known as the National Tea Party Federation. That expelled organization is the Tea Party Express (TPE). The TPE was expelled because one of its leaders was foolish enough to be politically incorrect by writing a parody of the NAACP which was promptly condemned as racism undoubtedly to preemptively stave off a Leftist gotcha moment.
I am a supporter of TPE because of their involvement with the Republican Party. Many Tea Partiers wish to aloof from both America’s two major Political Parties to express grassroots over political affiliations. I on the other hand believe Conservatives need a Political Party to remove the Obama transformation of his view of a changed America. The obvious choice is a Tea Party caucus dominating the Republican Party giving RINOs the boot. The Tea Party Express so far has been the major ingredient (with a lot of Sarah Palin mixed in) behind every Constitutional friendly Republican candidate victory in recent 2010 primaries nationwide.
Below are a series of Emails from the Tea Party Express from the last two days that focuses on their most recent backed candidate victory of Delaware Republican Christine O’Donnell who won over RINO and Republican National Senatorial Committee (RNSC) favorite Mike Castle. The reason the RNSC refused and refuses to support O’Donnell is because they believe she is unelectable. Yet the voters of Delaware should consider this. O’Donnell was considered unelectable and Castle a shoo-in only a month ago.

Tea Party Express Congratulates Christine O'Donnell on Stunning Victory!
The Tea Party Express congratulates Christine O'Donnell on a stunning victory in the Delaware Republican Primary campaign for U.S. Senate.
"Yes! Congratulations, Christine O'Donnell, you did it, and all of us in the tea party movement are so proud of you!" said Amy Kremer, Chairman of the Tea Party Express.
"Christine O'Donnell overcame the entire political establishment to achieve victory tonight because she stood for the constitutional conservative principles that voters are craving during this election cycle.
"As recently as one-month ago everyone wrote off Christine O'Donnell, but she defied the pundits and the political establishment. Now she is positioned to shock the so-called political experts in November once again.
"Christine kept her focus on the message of a return to a constitutionally limited government. That message will resonate with voters in November, just as strongly as it has today. If all the king's horses and all the king's men of the political establishment couldn't defeat Christine O'Donnell today, what makes anyone think they will beat her in November as the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate?
"Wake up corrupt politicians in Washington, D.C. Change is coming like a tidal wave, sweeping across this country. It's time to call the moving company, start packing up boxes, and look for new career opportunities. We The People have had enough, and we've got a message for you: You're Fired!" Kremer concluded.

Tea Party Express Celebrates Successful Primary Season
The Tea Party Express celebrated another election victory tonight, marking the end to a very successful primary campaign season.
Below is a list of those who we’ve endorsed as ‘heroes’ or spent money.
The Tea Party Express also targeted a number of candidates who ultimately ended up losing/retiring. We launched a $250,000 “Defeat Bart Stupak” campaign and brought our Tea Party Express 3-bus convoy into his district with 6 tea party rallies in his congressional district (the most we’ve ever held in a politician’s district).
After spending $60,000 on radio and TV ads, Stupak announced his retirement, right while we were in the middle of a rally against him in Escanaba, MI (in the Upper Peninsula, and again in Stupak’s district). We announced we were targeting Arlen Specter, and produced a TV ad for Pat Toomey, and then Specter left the GOP and then lost in the Democrat Primary.
We also announced we were targeting Democrat Congressman Alan Mollohan of West Virginia, and he lost too. And most notably, beyond spending over $550,000 supporting Sharron Angle’s GOP primary campaign (launching it when she was at just 5% in the polls), we’ve also waged $500,000 campaign against Harry Reid and expect to spend at least several hundred thousand dollars more to defeat him too.
Here’s our Heroes’ list of the candidates we’ve endorsed – most of them big winners:
SENATE
- • AK Joe Miller (R)
• NV Sharron Angle (R)
• DE Christine O’Donnell (R)
• MA Scott Brown (R)
• KY Rand Paul (R)
• UT Mike Lee (R)
• CA Chuck DeVore (R)
• FL Marco Rubio (R)
• KS Todd Tiahrt (R)
• PA Pat Toomey (R)
• SC Jim DeMint (R)
House
- • CA-4 Tom McClintock (R)
• GA-6 Tom Price (R)
• ID-1 Walt Minnick (D)
• IN-6 Mike Pence (R)
• MN-6 Michele Bachmann (R)
• SC-2 Joe Wilson (R)
• TN-7 Marsha Blackburn (R)

Tea Party Express Responds to NRSC
Sent by: Levi Russell
Sent: 9/14/2010 9:45 PM
The Tea Party Express issued the following statement in response to preliminary reports that the National Republican Senatorial Committee would not support their own nominee for U.S. Senate in Delaware:
"The National Republican Senatorial Committee has reportedly said they will not support their own nominee for U.S. Senate in Delaware. This is a rash statement that hopefully they will reconsider once good judgment sets in.
"The NRSC tried to meddle in the vote recount for liberal Republican Lisa Murkowski in Alaska. Now they say they aren't committed to supporting their own nominee in Delaware? When will this insanity stop?
"We encourage the NRSC to take a night off, get some sleep, and reconsider their rash statements. It is because of inexcusable conduct in Delaware and Alaska that so many conservatives have turned to the Tea Party Express, offering their support and their donations. These people have lost faith in the NRSC as just another big-government, Washington, D.C.-based organization that has contributed to the problems this country currently faces.
"If the NRSC is committed to defeating Democrats in November, then it is time for them to honor their mission statement and do just that. If they fail to do so, then they can expect millions of conservatives to continue to steer their donations and volunteer hours elsewhere.
"Wake up NRSC, the reason the tea party movement has grown into such a powerful force is because of the failures of establishment organizations such as yours to honor the principles of the Republican Party platform. You tried to force through the most liberal Republican in Congress on the voters of Delaware and they rejected you. Wake up, you are defying your own base, and will end up an irrelevant and impotent organization that serves to only amuse the corrupt political establishment in Washington, D.C.
"The Tea Party Express will back Christine O'Donnell in the general election along with every other candidate we've endorsed. We trust adults at the NRSC will come to their senses and realize that the people have spoken, and it's time for the NRSC to represent the Republicans it is supposed to represent."

We Need Your Help as NRSC Refuses To Back Their Own Nominee in U.S. Senate Race
On Tuesday night, Conservative Republican Christine O'Donnell won the nomination for U.S. Senate fair and square in the Republican Primary.
The problem? While in the middle of her victory speech, representatives of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) said they would refuse to support O'Donnell in the General Election because their favored candidate, Liberal RINO Mike Castle, did not win.
This is absurd and unacceptable. Please help us deliver a powerful message to the NRSC that we will not stand for this, and we expect them to abide by the wishes of Delaware Republicans who voted for Christine O'Donnell as their nominee for U.S. Senate.
Sign our petition demanding that the NRSC reverse course - HERE.
Please be sure to forward this to your friends as well - we need as many signatures as possible.

TPE Says, ‘Defeat Lisa Murkowski in Alaska’
.jpg)
John R. Houk
© June 28, 2010
Senator Lisa Murkowski is a Republic incumbent from Alaska. The Tea Party Express has labeled her a RINO. They are supporting a GOP Conservative for the Alaska primary. From the language of the endorsement it sounds like it may be a long shot; nonetheless I am all for replacing RINOs.
The GOP Conservative running against Murkowski is Joe Miller.
Sarah Palin endorsed Joe Miller on her popular Facebook page:
Contested primaries are so good for America’s political process! Competition makes everyone work harder, be more efficient, debate clearer, and produce more. So, Alaskans should be thrilled that Joe Miller jumped in the GOP race and is ready, willing, and able to serve us as our next United States Senator.
I’m proud to join so many other long-time Alaskans in supporting Joe Miller in the upcoming Alaska Republican Primary. Joe is a true Commonsense Constitutional Conservative, and we’re thankful he and his family are willing to offer us a choice in Alaskan leadership.
I share Joe’s belief that we are at a critical time in our nation’s history and the status quo will no longer do. Unfortunately, Lisa Murkowski and much of the political establishment have recently evolved into being a bigger part of the big government problem in Washington, and they’ve strayed from the principles upon which they had espoused. They ushered in the largest increase in federal domestic spending since Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society; it’s an increase in government that political machines may embrace, but “we the people” reject because we know it’s unsustainable and immorally burdensome to future generations. Help Us Defeat a RINO - And Elect a Conservative!
Sent by: Tea Party Express
Sent: 6/27/2010 7:05 PM
Thanks to your efforts, a number of Tea Party Express candidates have won races this year, and a number of our "worst offender" targets have been defeated.
Now we need to turn your attention to a very important race coming up: the Alaska U.S. Senate race. I've spent the better part of my life living in Alaska, being raised there and graduating from college in the state.
Senator Lisa Murkowski is the RINO Republican incumbent who must be defeated. She's in tight with the Republican leadership in Congress. And sadly she is one of the worst offenders in the Republican Party in going along with the tax-spend-bailout agenda of the Democrats.
In recent years she has voted more with the Democrats than any other Republican in the U.S. Senate - and we know there are some notable RINO Republicans in the Senate.
Here's a clue as to how bad Murkowski is - just witness the recent push for ObamaCare. When Gov. Sarah Palin put out the warning alarm about the "death panel" provisions in the legislation working its way through Congress, Senator Murkowski stepped forward and defended the bill. Consider the headline of the August 11, 2009 story in the Anchorage Daily News: Murkowski: Don't tell lies about the health-care reform bill."
Once ObamaCare was passed by Congress, there were immediate efforts by Conservatives to organize a push to defund or repeal ObamaCare.
What did Senator Murkowski do? She went on TV and said we shouldn't try to repeal ObamaCare. Watch her yourself:
Lisa Murkowski needs to be defeated.
And fortunately there is a fantastic tea party conservative running against her: Conservative Republican, Joe Miller.
Miller was recently endorsed by Gov. Sarah Palin, and we at the Tea Party Express endorsed Joe Miller shortly thereafter. We are excited about the opportunity to replace a big government failed politician - in this case Lisa Murkowski - with a constitutional conservative, Joe Miller!
We have a lot of momentum with the recent victory of tea party conservatives, but this race is going to be tough - Lisa Murkowski is a very entrenched incumbent, and she has $2 million sitting in her campaign bank account.
So we need your help to fight back and help elect the constitutional conservative in this race, Joe Miller, to the U.S. Senate.
We need our first advertising effort in this campaign to be BIG. If we're going to take out an entrenched incumbent, we're going to have to make a big splash and grab people's attention and get them to focus on her failed record.
So we need the support of as many of our Tea Party Express members and supporters as we can get. We also need your help to get friends, family members and others to pitch in. We will literally need tens of thousands of conservatives to pitch in and contribute to our campaign for Joe Miller.
You can contribute as little as $5 all the way up to the maximum allowed $5,000. To contribute right now - JUST CLICK HERE.
If you prefer you can mail in a contribution payable to "Tea Party Express" to our headquarters:
Tea Party Express
770 L Street #1020
Sacramento, CA 95814
Now let's go win this race! We've got a lot of work still left to do if we are truly going to change Congress in the 2010 elections.

Mark Levin Endorses Sharron Angle - Conservative Republican

The Tea Party Express is the primary info conduit I use for information about the Tea Party Movement. The Tea Party Express is invested in bringing down the current Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid a Democrat from Nevada. In doing so the Tea Party Express provides information about a Republic candidate Sharron Angle (MSM report designed to disturb Center-Independent voters).
I know there are other Republican candidates that will vie for the Republican nomination which will be decided in Nevada’s primary. I have no idea about those candidates’ qualifications; however Angle’s credentials appear impressive at this time.

Tea Party, GOP and Leftist Propaganda
John R. Houk
© April 15, 2010
I knew there was a bit of jealousy between Tea Party organizations within that movement. Personally I chalked it up to strife over trivial matters relating to perception and agenda. It turns out the trivial is becoming a wedge between Tea Partiers that wish to be aloof from the Republican Party and those that wish to be supportive. AND it turns out the inter-Tea Party strife is being fueled by Leftists who wish to discredit the growing popularity among voters on a grassroots scale.
The Leftist monkey wrench concerning political party affinity seems to be centered on funding and contributions to GOP causes. If you wish some specifics on the Leftist agenda to discredit and confuse the public over the Tea Party agenda then view a Google “Ken Vogel and Tea Party Express Memo” (which I did on 4/15/10). The Liberal, Leftist blogs and pundits go out of their way to criticize the Tea Party Express affinity to the GOP.
I executed the Google because I received this email from the Tea Party Express:
MUST READ: Secret Tea Party Memo is Public
I've got some very big news to share with you that up until now has been a secret.
Today, Ken Vogel, a reporter for Politico.com broke a fairly big scoop. He managed to obtain a copy of what had been a very secret strategic planning memo I had written in my capacity as Coordinator of the Tea Party Express exactly one year ago.
And so now since the word is out, we wanted to share this strategy memo with you, our supporters. We are very excited to finally be able to share with you the behind-the-scenes strategic thinking that was behind the incredible success of the Tea Party Express.
You see the Tea Party Express wasn't an accident. It was a carefully considered and well-planned project that was designed to en[g]age local tea party groups all across the country to join together to make a difference and help take our country back - while still allowing those local groups to retain their independence and autonomy. And it's been a phenomenal success that has infuriated the Left and many within the media as well.
Keep reading for more details below, but if you simply can't wait, you can read what had been the secret memo for yourself - HERE.
As you'll note when you read the memo, the plan was to find a way to engage in political action to defeat the worst of the tax-spend-bailout Democrats and RINO Republicans in Congress.
And for the past year, YOU - our supporters, have helped us to implement this plan. We have achieved a success far beyond our wildest dreams, and I know from reading your emails and talking to you at the 100+ tea party rallies we've held across this nation how excited you are about all that we have achieved.
We spent over $350,000 to help elect Scott Brown - and employed a national TV advertising campaign when the local advertising inventory sold out, so we could reach voters in the state via a medium that the Democrats had failed to think of using.
We helped to force the retirement of sellout Congressman Bart Stupak, after launching a $250,000 "Defeat Bart Stupak" TV and radio advertising blitz and series of 5 Tea Party Express rallies throughout his rural Michigan district.
We stood up for Doug Hoffman (the Conservative Party candidate) over the RINO Republican, Dede Scozzafava in Upstate New York. We almost beat the establishment of BOTH the Democrat and Republican parties. You see, we here at the Tea Party Express stand for conservatism, and sadly the Republican Party at times needs to be reminded to adhere to its conservative principles.
And, perhaps most notably, we've spent over $500,000 to "Defeat Harry Reid" - more than any other group - and watched as Reid's poll numbers have plunged along the way. You saw the impact we had at the start of this tour when we brought out 20,000 people to the middle of the desert for the "Showdown in Searchlight."
We don't just TALK about doing things, with your help we've taken real ACTION. And we did so without being a part of the political establishment.
So, please, take a few moments and read this memo, now that it's out in the public domain. We've already been putting together new strategies reflective of the current political environment we face, and you are going to be very excited about what we have in store from this point until November 2010 congressional elections!
FIRST: Read the once-secret memo - HERE.
SECOND: After you've done so, please support our efforts to achieve even greater success. Please make a contribution to the Tea Party Express - HERE (SlantRight.com: I include the donation link for I enjoy the Tea Party Express and still believe the GOP is better than a 3rd Party).
After reading this memo is when I did the Google search. My first thought was surprise at the bit of criticism of some of the GOP which I believe have good leadership qualities and not so surprised about criticism of some GOP who are actually RINOS. I thought, “Big deal” concerning GOP criticism. There are some GOP that I like and dislike as well as Conservatives I like and dislike. That is merely about politics. The critical agenda for disagreeing Conservatives is to find a consensus of ideas to be a monolith against the Left. Not all Conservatives are going to agree with each other; however there are core concepts and values all Conservatives agree on. Inter-movement jealousy is the monkey wrench American Leftists and Democrats are praying fomenting will keep them in Office in 2010 and 2012.
I read Ken Vogel’s article at Politico. I actually did not think it was an article with an agenda to discredit the Tea Party Movement. It was an article that provided information on Our Country Deserves Better PAC which formed the Tea Party Express. It pointed out the suspicions of other Tea Partiers toward the GOP establishment. And Vogel reported the reality of campaign contributions or funding for candidates and causes. The article was a like a FOX News moment: “We report, you decide.”
The problem for the Tea Party Express is that other Tea Party organizations utilized the Memo to express anger at a political party affinity (in this case – the GOP). AND Lefties used the information to propagandize an image of political corruption upon the Tea Party Express and therefore the entire Tea Party Movement.
Tea Partiers need to get over that which divides and discover the unity of consensus. The Left must be exposed for twisting facts when for the most part it is the various forms of Leftist thought that sets out to deceive the American public.
There is one other comment about Tea Party inter-dissent.
The Tea Party Movement is actually becoming strong enough to ultimately form a third political party of Conservatives. In my political transformation from an unwitting Leftist to a purposeful Conservative I supported at least two other political parties other than the GOP.
Coming from a low income working class family I was taught to be always loyal to the Democratic Party primarily because the Party of Roosevelt saved America from the Great Depression (There are some who would say Roosevelt actually prolonged the Great Depression). In my first eligible Presidential election I voted for Carter because of the deception employed by President Richard Millhouse Nixon via Watergate. In my young book the Republican Party was the party of the rich establishment bent on keeping the less fortunate from rocking the establishment. Yeah I know it was kind of a youthful rebellious thing inherent in most baby boomers at the time.
The year 1976 was the 200th anniversary the existence of the United States of America. I think it was the last time when the American political spectrum was not so divisive. Regardless of core beliefs there was a huge sense of American Patriotism that year particularly as Independence Day arrived. It was in this climate that a political outsider from the State of Georgia captured the hopeful minds of American voters. GAG! I voted for Jimmy Carter.
By the time 1980 began to arrive I acquired a belief that Carter was a wishy-washy screw-up. There was no other way I was going to vote for anything belonging to the Democratic Party accept the few Dems that were actually center-right hawks standing up against Communism and for a strong military (in my home State of the time that was Senator Henry (Scoop) Jackson). The year prior to 1980 I became a “Born Again” Christian of the Charismatic path. Thus the roots of Christian Right politics began to emerge.
On the other hand I was still not far off from the anti-establishment rebelliousness of the teen years. I mention this because in America’s dominant Two-Party system, the Republican opponent to Carter was Ronald Reagan. In my mind Reagan’s anti-Communist rhetoric led me to believe he would be a nuke button pushing maniac that would bring the world to the brink of the end of civilization. I could not bring myself to vote for Ronald Reagan. So I went the third party route.
Thus began my brief flirtation with the Libertarian Party. I became dedicated Laissez Faire economics (even though economics is not my strong suit) and a fan of the Objectivist Ayn Rand. It became apparent that those aspects I liked about the LP and Rand was to be dwarfed with any ideology that had no harmony with Christianity. So before Reagan’s second term even began I became enamored with Reagan Conservatism.
Then after Reagan came the Bush, Sr. – Dukakis election of 1988. In my mind Bush Sr. was connected to the Watergate Cover-up of Nixon. Bush Sr. was a CIA man during the Nixon years. Nonetheless I voted for Bush Sr. because of Ronald Reagan. Still remembering Watergate in 1992 my choices were Bush Sr., Clinton and Perot. I chose the Independent Ross Perot. So did many other Conservatives. It cost Bush Sr. his second term as President and the beginning of Clinton’s Center-Left Administration.
What is the point of my little jot down political memory lane?
The Tea Party Movement’s potential to be a third party rather than an influence on the Republican Party will result in the re-election Barack Hussein Obama.

We'll have a complete rundown on Saturday's "Showdown in Searchlight" tomorrow, but for now, we wanted to pass along Gov. Sarah Palin's message from Twitter thanking all of you for helping to make it such a fantastic event:

Thanks Searchlight! You’re shining the spotlight on the wayward ways of Washington. Keep the god work, the Tea Party Express rolls on …
So how big was the event? Well, here's an aerial view of the rally - showing JUST ONE section of the crowd:

And here's one more picture for you for now - it's another aerial shot, this time of Highway 95 leading to-and-from Searchlight. Get this: the photo was taken at 1:35 PM Pacific - more than 1 1/2 hours after the rally ended, and yet thousands of cars still were trying to get to the rally location:

This was all made possible solely because of YOU. To all of you who donated to pay for this effort, and to all who traveled from throughout Nevada and across the U.S. to come we say: "THANK YOU!" as well.
We now have 42 more Tea Party Express rallies that will take place across the country on this Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out tour, and many more "worst offenders" in Congress to target and defeat.
If you like what we did in Searchlight, then please consider making a contribution to the Tea Party Express III tour. You can donate as little as $5 all the way up to the maximum allowed $5,000. Contribute Online - HERE.
