Vote Alaska: Begich the Liar or veteran Patriot Sullivan

Mark Megich - Dan Sullivan
Mark Begich – Leftist and Dan Sullivan – Conservative

By John R. Houk
© November 1, 2014

It is my opinion that Move America Forward (MAF) is the USA’s preeminent pro-military organization. MAF’s primary message is to organize material support for the military personnel fighting overseas. That material support is in the nature of care packages that includes both scarce necessities (e.g. toiletries) and to a lesser degree some comforts (perhaps like treats). Here at home MAF acts as a public service for families of overseas military personnel. MAF in its early days began to expose anti-military organizations that tarnished the reputation of the military or actively participated in protests harmful to America’s war efforts which means potentially harmful to overseas military personnel.

MAF began to understand that Left Wing attack dogs would thus begin to come out of the woodwork to denigrate MAF efforts. Without investigating the details it is probably a good guess Left Wing individuals and organizations would begin to whine about MAF’s non-profit tax deductible status. Hence the formation of a political wing called MAF Freedom PAC (MAFPAC.org).

Keeping all this in mind MAF Freedom PAC supports political candidates for Office that or both Conservative and pro-military in their outlook. One such candidate is the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in Alaska – Dan Sullivan (MAFPAC.org email below).

Sullivan is in a tight race with the Dem Party incumbent Senator Mark Begich. Senator Begich is taking the typical Left Wing path of disinformation, character assassination and downright lying to win reelection:

[Blog Editor: Mattera uses video to promote his new book “Crapitalism: Liberals Who Make Millions Swiping Your Tax Dollars”.]

Senator Begich is one of eight vulnerable Democrat Senators that are actively distancing themselves from President Barack Hussein Obama’s policies yet when their voting records are examined they voted the Obama agenda 96% or more of the time:

Here are where the Democrats and Republicans** on the October edition of Roll Call’s 10 Most Vulnerable Senators of 2014 rank in terms of their roll call voting support for Obama’s agenda:

Democrats

Mark Udall of Colorado: 99 percent

Kay Hagan of North Carolina: 99 percent

Jeff Merkley of Oregon: 99 percent

Al Franken of Minnesota: 99 percent

Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire: 98 percent

Mark Begich of Alaska: 98 percent

Mark Pryor of Arkansas: 97 percent

Mary L. Landrieu of Louisiana: 96 percent

**[Blog Editor: There are two Republican Senators in the list after the Dems I’m excluding them because this is not about Republicans or RINOs – Bold text mine] (Vulnerable Senate Democrats Almost Always Voted With Obama; By Niels Lesniewski; Roll Call; 10/27/14 11:24 a.m.)

What a surprise that Begich is lying to his voters, I mean after all he is a Dem, right?

A Red State post by Moe Lane lowers Begich’s voting record by 1%, but 97% is still quite high:

… 97%. That’s the amount of time Mr. Begich voted with Obama priorities—from ObamaCare to the stimulus to the president’s nominees. Another key number is zero. That’s how many times in his six years he sponsored an amendment that the Senate voted on. The other word you hear from fired-up locals is “endless”—as in the Obama administration’s nonstop assaults on Alaskan mining and drilling, which Mr. Begich has proved incapable of halting. (Here Moe is quoting a WSJ article - Mark Begich: one of the 97%. Also, poised to lose in Alaska, at this point; By Moe Lane (Diary); Red State; 9/5/14 09:00 PM

Senator Begich misled Alaska voters by insinuating he had the support of Senator Lisa Murkowski who won her reelection running as an Independent write-in because she lost her Republican Primary to Tea Party endorsed candidate Joe Miller in 2010. (It is my opinion the GOP Establishment sold-out Miller so Murkowski would still caucus as a Republican.) Senator Murkowski has very publicly denied any endorsement of the Dem incumbent Senator Begich.

Mark Begich has spent the last month trying to exploit Senator Lisa Murkowski by suggesting that she supports his candidacy (she doesn’t). Begich has repeatedly run ads using Murkowski’s image and likeness – against her will – and now suggests that the only reason she opposes his ads is because she doesn’t like her picture in them.

Here’s the backstory:

·         On August 7, Politico reported: “Representatives for GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski are demanding that her fellow Alaskan, Democratic Sen. Mark Begich, take down a campaign ad featuring her image — an unusual instance of two sitting senators from the same state in a public spat. …In a letter disseminated on Thursday, the law firm for Murkowski’s Senate committee skewered a Begich ad in a cease-and-desist missive. The ad in question, “Great Team,” features Murkowski and Begich appearing together, along with testimony from an individual who says he is a lifelong Republican, a Murkowski voter —and also a Begich supporter.”

·         On August 11th, Sen. Begich refused to take down the Murkowski ad: Reports made clear: “Mark Begich, Alaska Democrat, said he doesn’t plan to take down a campaign ad showing him working together with his Republican colleague, Sen. Lisa Murkowski. Ms. Murkowski has sent Mr. Begich a cease-and-desist letter to stop playing the television ad, saying that he used her likeness without her permission.”

·         On September 28th, Sen. Begich brazenly ran another ad featuring Lisa Murkowski: KTVA reported, “It comes after Murkowski earlier in the campaign called on Begich to stop running a similar ad. And it comes days after Murkowski was featured in an ad endorsing Begich’s GOP rival, Dan Sullivan.”

·         On October 24, Mark Begich claimed the only reason that Lisa Murkowski was mad about the ads is because she didn’t like her photo: During a recent debate, Dan Sullivan asked Mark Begich why he repeatedly used Senator Murkowski in his campaign ads against her will. Senator Begich’s obnoxious (not to mention sexist) response? “She didn’t like the photo. That’s what the letter was about, Dan.”

… (Mark Begich is a Liar; By News Links; The Minority Report; 10/28/14)

Dan Sullivan confronted Senator Mark Begich on penchant for lying:

Published by goprapidresponse
Published: Oct 30, 2014

And here is the Washington Free Beacon summarizing the video exchange between Dan Sullivan and Mark Begich:

October 31, 2014 10:02 am

Despite overwhelming evidence, Senator Mark Begich (D., Alaska) denied having attacked Republican Ted Stevens in attack ads during the 2008 Senate campaign.

The issue came up during a debate Thursday night between Begich and Dan Sullivan. Sullivan questioned Begich regarding wrongful accusations against Stevens and whether Begich regretted running the incorrect attack ads.

Begich, presumably hoping no one with access to Youtube was paying attention boldly stated, “I didn’t run attack ads.”

Two of Begich’s ads attacking Stevens are still available online here and here.

Now I don’t live in Alaska but I gotta tell ya, for an Alaskan voter to actually vote for Senator Mark Begich’s reelection that person must really be dedicated to the Democratic Party, political liars and dirty politicians.

Meet Dan Sullivan, Marine, Running for US Senate in Alaska

Alaska: Dan Sullivan for U.S. SENATOR

Name: Dan Sullivan
Running For: U.S. Senate
State: Alaska
Rank: Lieutenant Colonel
Service: United States Marine Corps & Reserve
Deployments: Afghanistan, Middle East, Africa, Asia

Dan Sullivan as Lt. Col.
Currently running to become the next Senator from Alaska is U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Dan Sullivan. Having previously served as Alaska's Attorney General, Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources and the United States Assistant Secretary of Economic and Business Affairs, he has had a long career of public service.

Dan joined the Marine Corps in 1993 and has served on Active Duty and Reserves. Lt. Col. Sullivan is still in the Marine Corps Reserves and is the current commander of Alaska's 6th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company. Before his current post, Dan was commander of the 4th Marine Division's Anti-Terror Battalion.

The Marine Reserves called Dan to active duty in 2004, 2009, and 2013. He served in Afghanistan for a six-week tour of duty and deployed to various countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. In 2004 he was active duty for a year and a half in the Middle East serving as high ranking staff in the U.S. military Central Command Office (CENTCOM) which oversees all operations in the Middle East. Back in 2004, that meant both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Dan has an impressive list of accolades even beyond his sterling military service. Like Tom Cotton, a fellow veteran running for U.S. Senate, Dan went to Harvard where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Economics. He studied Law at Georgetown which is where he met his wife Julie, also a law student at the prestigious school.

Dan's experience in the Marines made him a tough-as-nails leader who never backs down and for whom surrender is not an option! He's fighting a tough race against Mark Begich, a typical Democrat politician who runs to the right during election season, distancing himself from Obama and his liberal views, but as soon as they get elected these liberals always show their true colors.

Begich has shown this in his support for President Obama's inaction in confronting ISIS. In a recent debate, Begich supported Obama's policy of a hands-off fight against ISIS, with no troops and only very limited bombing. Sullivan pounced on the opportunity to show how wrong that strategy is.

"Inaction has its own consequences," Sullivan said, "If we need combat troops to protect personnel, to protect the embassy, to protect ambassadors like we didn't have in Benghazi, to protect pilots, I would be for it."

His opponent, Begich, was silent and offered no such commitment to protecting our citizens or our interests abroad.
Lt. Colonel Dan Sullivan is the kind of veteran we need to send to the U.S. Senate, he will stand up for our troops and push for a strong national defense to confront the growing threats from ISIS and other Islamic terrorist groups.

Sullivan needs your help! Donate now to help send Marine Lt. Col. Dan Sullivan to Washington DC!

United State Senator Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin - Draft for Senate
It is about time for Sarah Palin to enter a political office again. I was praying she would have run for President in 2012. Her decision not to run was a huge disappointment to me and many other Palin supporters.

NOW there is a draft Palin for the Senate in her home State of Alaska because the current Dem Party Senator Mark Begich would receive less than 50% of the vote according to The Tea Party Leadership Fund.

United State Senator Sarah Palin

Do the words "Senator Sarah Palin" excite you?
If we do our job, they could become reality.

You see, recent polling in the 2014 Alaska U.S. Senate Race shows incumbent Democrat Senator Mark Begich with less than 50% of the vote, and a clear path for Sarah to win. This means the only thing that is standing in her way is deciding to run, and that's why we're launching a petition today to draft her for the Republican nomination.

You and I both know that Sarah Palin is a fighter who will stand up to Harry Reid and his pals in the Senate to protect our Constitution on issues like amnesty, gun control, and our nation's crushing debt. We know that, with Sarah in the Senate, conservatives across America can rest a little easier at night knowing that she's at the watch.

That's why it's so important that you join with me in signing our petition to draft Sarah Palin for Alaska's U.S. Senate seat.

As Karl Rove and the "Republican" campaign establishment prepare to spend hundreds of millions defeating the Tea Party in primaries next fall, campaign insiders know what they're really afraid of--they're not afraid of gaffes, they're not afraid of weak candidates, and they're not afraid of losing.

They're afraid of those who stand up for our liberties;

of those who stand up when everyone else sits down;

of those who refuse to water down our Constitution with the "Democrat lite" message currently curried by the establishment.

Basically, they're afraid of Sarah Palin.

At this year's CPAC, Sarah knew this and took it to heart, rejecting the establishment and imploring all Tea Party Americans to stick to our guns and support the candidates who truly embrace our first principles. Even when it was unpopular, Sarah supported true patriots like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio, and now it's time that we throw our support behind her.

That's why I need you to sign our petition today to draft Sarah to run in the upcoming U.S. Senate race in Alaska. Will you visit this link and join me in signing it?

When you think about it, Senator Sarah Palin just makes sense.

Who would be better to stand up, simultaneously, to the hyper-liberal arrogance of Harry Reid and the cool indifference of the establishment to our values? Who would be better to stand arm-in-arm with Ted Cruz and Rand Paul in defense of our Constitution?

The answer, of course, is Sarah, the proven Maverick who stood up to the special interests in Alaska and has been a tireless advocate for our Tea Party values ever since her introduction to the national stage.

So will you stand with her by signing our petition to draft her into the U.S. Senate and, after signing, consider making a contribution so that we have the resources necessary to back her up if she needs it?

Visit this link and add your signature to our petition.

The establishment declared war against the Tea Party long ago, and election day is only getting closer. It's 100% crystal clear that Karl Rove and his loser buddies will stop at nothing to make sure we lose.

Let's show them we're serious about fighting back by drafting Sarah Palin. Visit this link and sign our petition today.

Sincerely,

Todd Cefaratti
Freedom Organizer

P.S. What better way is there to show the establishment we mean business than to nominate Sarah Palin for U.S. Senate? By signing our petition, you can make a bold statement that you're tired of the wishy-washy sellout establishment and ready to put a real leader in the Senate chamber.
Visit this link, sign your name to our petition, and tell Sarah that you're ready for her.

When RINOs Fight Back

John R. Houk
© September 19, 2010

Lisa Murkowski is undoubtedly an example of the Republican Party establishment trying to steer the Party away from a Conservatism that is for limited government, less taxes, Original Intent Constitutionalism and America’s Christian influence on American principles of governance and society. Senator Murkowski lost her GOP primary bid to retain her Republican aegis to Republican nominee Joe Miller.

After a close primary count Murkowski finally conceded when it became apparent that a 60% pick-up in Absentee Ballots would be needed to win. At the time I thought it was to Murkowski’s credit that she did not use the Republican establishment machine to pull a Dem stunt by calling for poll recounts until a predetermined win of Murkowski occurred.

Now it has come out that Senator Murkowski is coming out and calling for a Write-in candidacy to remain Alaska’s Senator. She is not basing a Write-in campaign on what she brings to Alaska as an incumbent. Rather Murkowski has decided to accuse Joe Miller of extremist Conservatism and the Tea Party Movement a racist political movement.

I pray that Alaskan voters see this RINO Senator Murkowski as running as a Leftist in Democratic Party form even though the Dems have their own nominee in Scott McAdams. McAdams’ political strategy is to NOT reveal any stand that a typically Conservative can weigh in on. When Murkowski lost the GOP primary the Dems must told McAdams to keep his mouth shut and then began to paint Joe Miller as an extremist connected to Leftist propagandizing that the Tea Party Movement (with a focus on the Tea Party Express) are a bunch of racist Right Wingnuts. Murkowski has picked up the Left Wing propaganda of if you can’t beat’em then smear’em. This proves ABSOLUTELY that Murkowski was a Republican in Name Only.

Here are two Tea Party Express emails talking about Murkowski’s sore loser decision to run as a write-in as well as talking about other RINOs going down in flames and then running as an Independent or supporting the Democratic Party opponent.

Lisa Murkowski Called You "Extremist" and "Racist"

Sent by: Tea Party Express
Sent: 9/18/2010 6:55 PM

The famed liberal RINO, defeated Sen. Lisa Murkowski, continued her attack on you, the supporters of the Tea Party Express.

Murkowski had twice previously called the Tea Party Express "racist."

Friday, Murkowski repeatedly told both the news media and supporters at the launch of her "Write In" campaign that the Tea Party Express was an "extremist" group. She also repeatedly called us "outsiders" and said we had hijacked the Republican Party.

We've always marveled at how Murkowski refers to fellow Americans as "outsiders" - especially since we have thousands of Tea Party Express members in the state of Alaska. Their voices don't count in Lisa Murkowski's world.

We're used to the attacks by the establishment that the tea party movement is "racist" and "extremists" - it's shameful and dishonest, but we're used to it. The one area we could at least find agreement with Lisa Murkowski with is that we are going to "hijack the Republican Party."

That's right Lisa Murkowski - it is indeed our plan to hijack this party from corrupt, failed, establishment liberals like you and your buddy Mike Castle in Delaware. It was liberal politicians like you and Arlen Specter and Olympia Snowe who defied the Republican Party platform and the beliefs and principles of Republican voters, to try and turn the Republican Party into a mirror image of the tax-spend-bailout Democrat Party.

Well, your time in power is up. And apparently in your specific case we're going to have to defeat you not just once but twice - as you didn't get the message "YOU'RE FIRED" very clearly the first time.

To our supporters we ask that you please make the most generous contribution you can to our campaign supporting Joe Miller so we can defeat Lisa Murkowski yet again. You can make a contribution online - HERE.

You can give as little as $5 and as much as $5,000 under FEC laws and regulations.

MUST SEE VIDEO: Watch Lisa Murkowski Attack YOU on CNN today

We've been telling you about Lisa Murkowski's attacks against all of you who have supported the Tea Party Express.

Today she stepped up her attacks on you, and showed utter contempt for the people of Alaska who rejected her candidacy in the Republican primary. You've got to see her in her own words from this clip on CNN - watch it below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S8Dpnouv80

These liberal RINO politicians are shameful - they tell us about their "big tent" and then display complete hypocrisy when the voters reject them.

Remember Arlen Specter? He left the Republican Party when it was clear he would lose against his conservative challenger, Pat Toomey, in the U.S. Senate primary in Pennsylvania.

Remember Dede Scozzafava? She was the liberal Republican running for Congress in the special election in NY-23 last year - and she left the Republicans and endorsed the Democrat when Republicans in her district rallied around Doug Hoffman.

Remember Charlie Crist? He left the Republican Party to run as an Independent in the U.S. Senate race in Florida when it was clear that conservative challenger Marco Rubio was going to defeat him.

This past week we saw the same kind of behavior from Mike Castle in Delaware who is refusing to endorse the Republican nominee for Senate, Christine O'Donnell.

And now you have Lisa Murkowski - who pledged just 5 days before the election in Alaska that she would back the Republican primary winner - launching a write-in campaign, after she first tried to steal the election by altering the count of late absentee ballots after the Election Day results showed her trailing behind Joe Miller.

What do all of these people have in common? They want everyone to abide by the election results and live in their "big tent" -- so long as THEY are the winners. It's all about power for THEM.

This is why the status quo, political establishment is so wrong and why they've failed us. They don't care about their country so much as they care about their own power. That's why these politicians never listened to the tea party protests against bailouts, against Cap & Trade, against the stimulus, against ObamaCare, etc...

And this is why we must defeat them and make it very clear for them that the voters have sent this unmistakable message through their votes at the polls: YOU'RE FIRED!

Since Lisa Murkowski didn't get the message the first time, we're going to have to make sure she dang well gets the message the second time - and we must defeat her "write-in" campaign in a resounding fashion.

To our supporters we ask that you please make the most generous contribution you can to our campaign supporting Joe Miller so we can defeat Lisa Murkowski yet again. You can make a contribution online - HERE.

You can give as little as $5 and as much as $5,000 under FEC laws and regulations.

WSJ: Palin Ally Upends Politics In Alaska

Sarah Palin and the Tea Party Movement (in the case of this post – Tea Party Express) have accomplished the incredible. Two candidates running in the GOP Primary in Alaska – Joe Miller and Senator Lisa Murkowski – are still too close to call a definitive winner. This is significant because challenger Joe Miller was like 25% behind Senator Murkowski about a month before the primary date of August 24, 2010. In fact I have read that Murkowski had a 15-1 election budget advantage over Miller.

In a Wall Street Journal post today I read that Miller is still roughly a little more than 1600 votes ahead of Murkowski. I also read that for Murkowski to make a comeback to remain a Republican on the Senate race in Alaska she would have to win 60% of the absentee ballots. It is my guess for Murkowski to win she would have to take a page out of the Dem Party playbook. The establishment GOP (most Conservatives would claim – RINO) in Alaska would have to manipulate the absentee ballots by hiding, stealing or invalidating them. If Murkowski allowed such a travesty to go forth she would truly be no better than a Democrat and undeserving of her Office as Senator from Alaska.

TPE Says, ‘Defeat Lisa Murkowski in Alaska’

John R. Houk
© June 28, 2010

Senator Lisa Murkowski is a Republic incumbent from Alaska. The Tea Party Express has labeled her a RINO. They are supporting a GOP Conservative for the Alaska primary. From the language of the endorsement it sounds like it may be a long shot; nonetheless I am all for replacing RINOs.

The GOP Conservative running against Murkowski is Joe Miller.

Sarah Palin endorsed Joe Miller on her popular Facebook page:

Contested primaries are so good for America’s political process! Competition makes everyone work harder, be more efficient, debate clearer, and produce more. So, Alaskans should be thrilled that Joe Miller jumped in the GOP race and is ready, willing, and able to serve us as our next United States Senator.

I’m proud to join so many other long-time Alaskans in supporting Joe Miller in the upcoming Alaska Republican Primary. Joe is a true Commonsense Constitutional Conservative, and we’re thankful he and his family are willing to offer us a choice in Alaskan leadership.

I share Joe’s belief that we are at a critical time in our nation’s history and the status quo will no longer do. Unfortunately, Lisa Murkowski and much of the political establishment have recently evolved into being a bigger part of the big government problem in Washington, and they’ve strayed from the principles upon which they had espoused. They ushered in the largest increase in federal domestic spending since Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society; it’s an increase in government that political machines may embrace, but “we the people” reject because we know it’s unsustainable and immorally burdensome to future generations.

Help Us Defeat a RINO - And Elect a Conservative!

Sent by: Tea Party Express
Sent: 6/27/2010 7:05 PM

Thanks to your efforts, a number of Tea Party Express candidates have won races this year, and a number of our "worst offender" targets have been defeated.

Now we need to turn your attention to a very important race coming up: the Alaska U.S. Senate race. I've spent the better part of my life living in Alaska, being raised there and graduating from college in the state.

Senator Lisa Murkowski is the RINO Republican incumbent who must be defeated. She's in tight with the Republican leadership in Congress. And sadly she is one of the worst offenders in the Republican Party in going along with the tax-spend-bailout agenda of the Democrats.

In recent years she has voted more with the Democrats than any other Republican in the U.S. Senate - and we know there are some notable RINO Republicans in the Senate.

Here's a clue as to how bad Murkowski is - just witness the recent push for ObamaCare. When Gov. Sarah Palin put out the warning alarm about the "death panel" provisions in the legislation working its way through Congress, Senator Murkowski stepped forward and defended the bill. Consider the headline of the August 11, 2009 story in the Anchorage Daily News: Murkowski: Don't tell lies about the health-care reform bill."

Once ObamaCare was passed by Congress, there were immediate efforts by Conservatives to organize a push to defund or repeal ObamaCare.

What did Senator Murkowski do? She went on TV and said we shouldn't try to repeal ObamaCare. Watch her yourself:

Lisa Murkowski needs to be defeated.

And fortunately there is a fantastic tea party conservative running against her: Conservative Republican, Joe Miller.

Miller was recently endorsed by Gov. Sarah Palin, and we at the Tea Party Express endorsed Joe Miller shortly thereafter. We are excited about the opportunity to replace a big government failed politician - in this case Lisa Murkowski - with a constitutional conservative, Joe Miller!

We have a lot of momentum with the recent victory of tea party conservatives, but this race is going to be tough - Lisa Murkowski is a very entrenched incumbent, and she has $2 million sitting in her campaign bank account.

So we need your help to fight back and help elect the constitutional conservative in this race, Joe Miller, to the U.S. Senate.

We need our first advertising effort in this campaign to be BIG. If we're going to take out an entrenched incumbent, we're going to have to make a big splash and grab people's attention and get them to focus on her failed record.

So we need the support of as many of our Tea Party Express members and supporters as we can get. We also need your help to get friends, family members and others to pitch in. We will literally need tens of thousands of conservatives to pitch in and contribute to our campaign for Joe Miller.

You can contribute as little as $5 all the way up to the maximum allowed $5,000. To contribute right now - JUST CLICK HERE.

If you prefer you can mail in a contribution payable to "Tea Party Express" to our headquarters:

Tea Party Express
770 L Street #1020
Sacramento, CA 95814

Now let's go win this race! We've got a lot of work still left to do if we are truly going to change Congress in the 2010 elections.
