The Elusive Case of Oscar Hill IV

Evidence of Misconduct banner
John R. Houk
© May 16, 2013

I have been following the Oscar Hill IV story for some time. The story if accurate is repugnant for it is a huge miscarriage of Justice. The email and pdf attachment show a different spelling of Oscar’s last name than previous posts I have made on this subject. In the current email Oscar’s last name is spelled “Hill”. In previous stories the letter “s” was how I came to know the name – “Hills”. This could be the reason I have had such a difficult time researching Hill’s case – I don’t know. Below is the copy of the email I sent to Joshua Spielman relating to the email and pdf document (Only I changed the my email address because I sent him a more personal address):

Mr. Spielman I have actually tried to follow the story of Oscar Hills IV. It has always been a difficult subject to research with a search engine because the Mainstream Media seems to have not found it on their radar. The two stories I have posted are "Oscar Hills IV: Persecuted or Prosecuted?" dated 5/25/11 AND "Gayle: Oscar Hills IV" dated 6/29/12. I am really uncertain how anybody has found my blog (SlantRight 2.0) to send me these elusive updates. Perhaps you can point me to some further information available online that will make me feel good about corroboration even if it is the other side of the story? At any rate I will format the pdf file you sent me and post it.

Thanks

Since I have been writing this post Mr. Spielman has responded that he will keep me up to date.

Now one thing I have noticed about the pdf attributed to Oscar Hill IV is his use the name “Ya” in parentheses following the name “God”. My concern stems from the cult spin-off House of Yahweh (HOY) was founded by another Christian cult Worldwide Church of God from Herbert W. Armstrong.

The HOY cult uses “Ya” for God and Lord. They also use the appellation of Yashua for Jesus. Both names are used like this in Mr. Hill’s pdf document. The HOY take the belief that Jesus was not preexistent to His human birth. Rather Jesus is the Son of God only in the sense he became a follower of Yahweh after arising from the water from the John the Baptist Baptism. Hence the HOY do not believe in ONE God in three unified persons as in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As a Christian I have to state these HOY beliefs are unacceptable.

AGAIN I must reiterate that I do not know if Oscar Hill IV follows the HOY theology. Indeed the First Amendment guarantees the HOY to practice their faith in Freedom. I just have to wonder if the Louisiana part of the Federal Justice system focused on Hill because of Cult-like behavior and thus fabricated evidence that ended in a conviction that had absolutely nothing to do with Hill’s faith.

I give credit to Oscar Hill IV that he is not appealing to religious persecution but utilizes religious terminology as a normal display of his faith whether he follows the basic Christian tenets or HOY-like religious tenets. Under that situation Oscar Hill IV deserves freedom from incarceration and his name must be cleared due criminal conduct from the Prosecutor and the ATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives – better known as ATF) agent Joseph Gahn.

CONVICTION UNCONSTITUTIONAL?
Another Case of Federal Prosecutorial Misconduct - Middle District of Louisiana

Brad Heath

BATON ROUGE: First, I like to thank you for accepting my email request. Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Oscar Hills IV; currently I am federal inmate #05251-095. Since 2011, two-years now, my incarceration has been illegal. On May 23, 2011, I literally drove myself to Texarkana FCI in Texas and self surrendered. After sixteen months there, I was transferred (unsupervised Greyhound Bus furlough) to the federal comp in Pollock, Louisiana. Currently, I am at the halfway house in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mr. Heath, after reading your article, "Locked Up But Innocent?" I must say, you nailed it! However, that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Mr. Heath, in "Criminal Law" there's two classifications of innocence, one, "legal innocence," and two, "actual innocence." Legal innocence, defined as the absence of one or more procedural or legal bases to support the sentence given to a defendant. You were referring in your article "Locked Up But Innocent" to this innocence. Actual innocence, on the other hand, is a state of affairs in which a defendant in a criminal case is innocent of the charges against them because they did not in fact commit the crime of which her or she have been accused.

ACTUALLY INNOCENT? What if I told you that I am "actually innocent" of the crime I'm currently incarcerated for and the U.S. Government (ATFE agent Joseph Gahn, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Rene Salomon) and State Farm Insurance Co. fabricated their evidence to get an illegal indictment which led to my illegal incarceration.

What if I told you that with the same evidence the prosecutors' produced to the grand jury and the courts' exonerates me and incriminates them.

Aver of evidence is factual and backed by the U.S. Government's own fabricated evidence; this is not a conclusional assertion. Furthermore, on June 25, 2012, The Fifth Circuit of Appeals granted me a certificate of appealability (COA). Moreover, on August 20, 2012, the U.S. Attorney's Office conceded to the fact that my conviction is unconstitutional. Yet, eight-months later, I am still illegally being detained. The prosecutors' asked the Appeals Court to dismiss my appeal, and remand the case back to the district court for a limited view. Rebutting the prosecutor's request, petitioning the Appeals Court not to dismiss my appeal, I pleaded that the conviction be completely overturned. One, because I was actually innocent, and two, according to United States v. Cronic, 466 U.S., a denial of counsel during trial proceedings requires automatic reversal of conviction because prejudice presumed. The Appeals Court, denied my request, and totally went against Supreme Court caselaw, subsequently, remanding my case back to the District Court, where just several months prior presiding judge James Brady denied my motion to vacate citing I had no merits. Clearly, I recognized the subterfuge of the U.S. Attorney's Office.

April 22, 2013, the deception came full circle when I went for a status conference in the District Court. Out the gate, Judge Brady ridiculed me, stating he was not "going to play this game" with me, he pretty much eluded my actual innocence plea. I reference to the judge that I have done 95% of the time, and my main concern is clearing my name and bringing justice for the outrageous conduct of assistant U.S. Attorney Rene Salomon and ATFE agent Joseph Gahn. Under the Color of Law--these two men, along with others, abused and misused their authority. The court eluded addressing my actual innocence claim. It did not surprise me, I was informed a week before the status conference that my case was the first of its kind. I was also informed that normally the Fed's are the aggressor, and being that you have substantial evidence of their malfeasance they're in a peculiar situation. It was explained to me, even though you have the "up's on them,"  the presiding judge was going  to still save face for  the prosecutor, "it is what it is, especially in the Fed's," explained the source. The way the status conference played out, he was right. I being actually innocent of the crime should mean something if not everything, but from the looks of it, it means nothing to the court. Judge Brady scheduled an evidentiary hearing for May 21, 2013, and for the fifth time I will submit to the court the government's own evidence that exculpates me and inculpates the prosecutor. After 2 years of hell, will I finally see justice, or will this injustice continue? Proverbs 17:15 states: "He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord (Ya)."

Prior to going to prison, I presented this overwhelming evidence (certified mail) to the Inspector General, Daniel Levinson, our so-called ombudsman. Following up on my complaint a representative in the civil rights department claimed she forwarded the information to the appropriate people including the ATFE agency. I personally sent the same information (certified mail) to Kenneth Melson, former head of the ATFE agency, to no avail. Mr. Melson has now been demoted, for his mishandling and non-actions in the infamous "Fast & Furious" gun-trafficking sting operation, in which illegal guns from the operation appeared at many crime scenes across the United States and Mexico. One of the stolen guns killed a U.S. border patrol officer. A whistleblower within their own agency brought to light these unlawful acts of the ATFE agency in Arizona. I even reached out to "every member" in congress (Washington DC) prior to coming to prison but my pleas were ignored'.

My situation is not an isolated one by far; there is a reason why 97% of the federal cases result into a guilty plea. Trust me the U.S. Attorneys' is not that good. Counsel for the defendants'; especially court-appointed counsel, are an extension of the prosecution. Almost immediately in their initial attorney-client meeting, the appointed counsel is pushing a plea deal in the face of the accused. It is all about "VOLUME!" Court-appointed attorneys' are paid the same amount if they argue the case or get you to take the plea. There is no incentive to exonerate their client, so it's all based on volume. Picture an assembly line of rubber-stamping plea deals that is all you got going on here. The prosecutors' get their man and defense attorneys' are compensated for sending their clients' up the river without a paddle. All at the expense of the indigent clients' and taxpayers. There is nothing new up under the sun this is a modern day Sanhedrin Counsel. Yashua (Jesus Christ) called them hypocrites and usurpers.

OLIGARCHY FEDERAL JUDICIAL SYSTEM: National media coverage as your article illuminates what is going on in this "privileged only" federal judicial system. You see, once the tables turn on the "Oligarchs'" they only get reprimanded or excoriated. The "Oligarchs'" do not discriminate though; look at Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska case for example. The malicious prosecutorial misconduct was so great; U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder stepped in and asked the judge to dismiss the case after the conviction of the Senator. Stevens's attorney, Brendan Sullivan spoke out saying: "the illegal verdict of guilty in Stevens's case had cost the veteran Alaska Republican his seat in the Senate and shifted control of the Senate to the Democrats." Let us take it even further, if this illegal ordeal had not taken place, Stevens probably would have won his seat back, and would have been in Washington DC, instead of on the plane that crashed and took his life? After the malicious misconduct of the prosecutors' scheme came to light, one of the prosecutors committed suicide. The others two prosecutors involved in this malevolent act just got an insignificant punishment, losing 40 and 15 days without pay. Then it was back to work as usual.

Recently, just down the road in the Eastern District of Louisiana, specifically, New Orleans, Louisiana, another case of prosecutorial misconduct was revealed. U.S. Attorney Jim Letten's second in command, Jan Mann literally lied to a federal judge. Ms. Mann, in writing, told the court she was not involved with the blogging on several federal cases in litigation. Which was indeed, not true, Jan Mann, was ousted by retired FBI agents that were hired by the defendant Fred Heebe to investigate the U.S. Attorney's office outrageous conduct, among other things. Subsequently, Jim Letten resigned, claiming he had no idea that his second in command was participating in theses egregious acts. No one in the U.S. Attorneys' office has been indicted, sorry to say that I suspect no one will be. Yet, there are people in jail for perjury, as I write this letter. Apparently, this does not apply to the prosecutors, just everyone else.

IMMUNITY + IMPUNITY = CORRUPTION: When it comes to federal prosecutors, and agents they "enjoy qualified immunity." Federal judicial employees have "free will" to do whatever they please and do not suffer any punishment for their mischievous actions, they are practically untouchable. My life my home was invaded because of one agent's abuse of power, ultimately losing over two years of my freedom. To add insult to injury, at the status conference, there sit the special agent Joseph Gahn. Observing, making sure the court carry out his subterfuge. Will district judge James J. Brady continue to go along with the government's modus operandi? Will he finally render true justice and overturn my wrongful conviction? Only time will tell, May 21, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. cst.

BANKING ON BONDAGE: Incarcerating folks is a multibillion dollar a year business. Make no mistake about it. The Prison industry creates and maintain jobs--forfeitures of property and assets--which federal employees' get first dibs--$25k plus annually of taxpayers' money for housing each inmate--commissary--outrages phone and email rates for inmates produces millions of dollars a month--"their" selected vendors' get paid top dollars for expired or close to expired food to feed the inmates. Rural towns are surviving off prisons; the prisons have more people in them then the actual town. The United States imprison more people both per-capital and in-absolute term than any other nation in the world. Reading an article by Cindy Chang in the New Orleans Times Picayune newspaper--the state [Louisiana] I am from is the prison capital of the world.

Infer; this is just a compendium of what is taking place in the land of the free and our so-called justice system. I have acquired a wealth of knowledge that I will share with the American people. In the name of justice, they are (the Oligarchs') acquiring wealth and power through bondage. It is my obligation to God (Ya) and the American people (99%ers') to fight this injustice and promote peace. I am formally announcing that I will run for the presidency of the United States in the year 2016.

"The energy, faith, the devotion which 'I' will bring to this endeavor will light our country and will serve it--and the glow from that fire can truly light the world." (paraphrasing President John F. Kennedy)

Peace be with you!

Mormonism and Conservative Politics

Caveman - Mormonism

John R. Houk
© October 13, 2011

I am a Christian. Christians are those that believe Jesus Christ was crucified, buried for three days and Resurrected to ultimately sit at the right hand of the Father. Christians believe that Jesus is God incarnate as son of the Father hence the Son of God; the same yesterday, today and forever as the eternal God without beginning or ending. Christians believe that the Holy Spirit was the vehicle that impregnated the then virgin Mary that made Jesus human (I believe fully human and fully God) to have the ability to redeem humanity from the grip of Satan attained by the betrayal of Adam in the Garden of Eden.

This is the simplicity of Christ that all Christians believe. It is on minor theological points that Christians disagree on such theology as whether or not the Holy Spirit proceeds from just the Father or both the Father and the Son. These are the minor points that Christians have warred over and persecuted each other even though there was agreement on the major points that define a Christian, Christ the Lord and Redemption.

Now there have been authentic heresies that have sprung from Christianity that not only disagreed on the minors but also on the majors. Christian Gnosticism is one example:

A one-sentence description of Gnosticism: a religion that differentiates the evil god of this world (who is identified with the god of the Old Testament) from a higher more abstract God revealed by Jesus Christ, a religion that regards this world as the creation of a series of evil archons/powers who wish to keep the human soul trapped in an evil physical body, a religion that preaches a hidden wisdom or knowledge only to a select group as necessary for salvation or escape from this world.

The term "gnostic" derives from "gnosis," which means "knowledge" in Greek. The Gnostics believed that they were privy to a secret knowledge about the divine, hence the name. (Huxley coined "agnosticism" on the basis that all knowledge must be based on reason. We cannot rationally claim to have access to knowledge that is beyond the powers of the intellect.) [Gnostics, Gnostic Gospels, & Gnosticism; Early Christian Writings – link above]

Now I have thought of Mormonism as a modern offshoot of Christianity through a Gnostic lens. Check this out from author Lance S. Owens:

The intrinsic and true American religion, pronounces Bloom in his widely reviewed book, is a kind of Gnosticism – alone a surprising enough declaration. But in evidence of this American Gnosis and as first hero of his story, Bloom gives us Joseph Smith. Of the man himself, he judges:

Other Americans have been religion makers....but none of them has the imaginative vitality of Joseph Smith's revelation, a judgment one makes on the authority of a lifetime spent in apprehending the visions of great poets and original speculators.... So self-created was he that he transcends Emerson and Whitman in my imaginative response, and takes his place with the great figures of our fiction."1

And of his religious creation,

The God of Joseph Smith is a daring revival of the God of some of the Kabbalists and Gnostics, prophetic sages who, like Smith himself, asserted that they had returned to the true religion....Mormonism is a purely American Gnosis, for which Joseph Smith was and is a far more crucial figure than Jesus could be. Smith is not just 'a' prophet, another prophet, but he is the essential prophet of these latter days, leading into the end time, whenever it comes.2

Brooke notes the "striking parallels between the Mormon concepts of coequality of matter and spirit, of the covenant of celestial marriage, and of an ultimate goal of human godhood and the philosophical traditions of alchemy and Hermeticism [SlantRight Editor: HERE is a great concise article on Hermeticism], drawn from the ancient world and fused with Christianity in the Italian Renaissance." Of course, in this light Harold Bloom's poetic reading of Joseph Smith as a "Gnostic" takes on broadened nuances: though unnoted by Bloom, Smith's religion-making imagination was allied in several ways with remnants of an hermetic tradition frequently linked to gnosticism. (Joseph Smith: America's Hermetic Prophet; Lance S. Owens; Gnosis Archives)

Below is the part of the article linking Joseph Smith to Gnosticism:

… Within humankind there is an immortal spark of intelligence, taught the Prophet, a seed of divine intellect or light which is "as immortal as, and coequal with, God Himself." God is not, however, to be understood as one and singular. Turning to Hebrew and an oddly Kabbalistic exegesis of the first three words of Genesis (an exegesis probably taken directly from the Zohar), Smith pronounced there are a multitude of Gods emanated from the First God, existing one above the other without end. He who humankind calls God was Himself once a man; and man, by advancing in intelligence, knowledge – consciousness – may be exalted with God, become as God.

Near the beginning of his ministry in 1833, Smith declared "the glory of God is intelligence", eternal and uncreated. Those who wish to find in him a Gnostic have pointed out that Smith used the word "intelligence" interchangeably with "knowledge" in his prophetic writings during this period. Indeed, they suggest, his words might be read poetically to proclaim God's glory is Gnosis – a Gnosis that saves woman and man by leading them together to a single uncreated and intrinsically divine Self.

I have led up to this point on Mormonism because in my estimation the religion is a cult that aims to be grouped with Christianity yet is apart from the major tenets that defines Christianity.

It may be offensive to Mormons that I point out that their faith is not a Christian faith and hence I stand against it. As a Christian it is my right to stand against the LDS just as it is the right of followers of Mormon cultism to have the right to propagate their religion. That last sentence is a very salient because it has to do with Religious Freedom and Free Speech in America. The only problem I have with Mormonism is its aim to evangelize Christians as if they are deceived. It is up to the Christian to buy into the deception or register “no sale”. A follower of Mormonism absolutely has the right to follow and proclaim their faith to America and humanity as far as I am concerned.

There is the gigantic Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (LDS), the much lesser Reformed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (RLDS) and a handful of splinter Mormon groups that are determined to follow the Mormonism of the LDS founder and the LDS next in command. The first two Mormon groups especially are supportive of the U.S. Constitution at least as far as the First Amendment goes. They are supportive of American Liberty, Freedom and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Now I will rail against Mormonism as an anti-Christ theological movement; however the followers of Mormonism that are devout plug into Christian values of right and wrong as well as to what is sin and that which is not sin. I will not vote for a Mormon for a political Office because of my Christian beliefs UNLESS the only alternative is a greater evil. The example of a greater evil is intolerant Islam that would propagate by the sword if it had the strength to do so. Another example of a greater evil is a godless atheist (usually with Marxist underpinnings) that has a vision to eliminate Christianity as well as all religious faiths which would include the limitation or the elimination of First Amendment rights in order to transform America into a Left Wing utopia. Incidentally a Left Wing utopia will always be the goal presented to the people but will never arrive because a godless human nature can never give up the notion of absolute power to bring about an actuation of utopia. Hence, the utopia goal will always be presented but the perpetual use of authoritarianism will be maintained in the name of transformation to get to the elusive utopian goal.

Now that I have established will look at a Conservative Mormon candidate for anything, let’s look at Mitt Romney.

I am never going to vote for Mitt Romney in any primary I am able to vote in. Why? If you have read this far the answer is obvious – Romney is a Mormon. On the other hand of Romney is unwisely selected by the rest of the Republican Party to face President Obamunist, I will vote for Romney.

I will vote for Romney even if his Conservative credentials are not exactly stellar. President Obama has placed such a burden of guilt to the entire world by globetrotting with an apology for American past actions for all the evils that have beset the world that he projected that America is evil rather than the fact that America is more responsible for spreading Liberty globally than any other nation. Were international toes stepped on as we proceeded or continue to proceed with American largesse? Sure, toes were stepped on. If American National Interests are not preserved, the America that has given tons of money both as a government and as individual donors would disappear. Americans do not want to disappear. If the nations that spew hatred toward America would examine their past (ESPECIALLY EUROPEANS), a greater appreciation of America’s largesse should be appreciated. Without the American military umbrella and post WWII reconstruction on the American taxpayer dime, most of Europe and Germany in particular, would not have attained a Western standard of prosperity that it now has. Sure Europe is suffering a bit in the economic realm; however that is more because they invested their economy in developing a democratic socialism (money freed from spending military defense from the likes of the USSR and present day Russia) than in building free market sustainability.

Frankly I am looking at Herman Cain or Michele Bachman as choices for the GOP nomination before I vote before Romney. As much as I loathe Libertarian slanted Ron Paul, I would even vote for him before I would vote for Romney. Nonetheless, if Romney wins the nomination I will vote for him to make sure President BHO does not win.

The inspiration for these thoughts on a Romney candidacy comes from a WND Article by Joe Kovacs entitled “Mormon bishop's daughter spills Romney's 'secrets' ...” The article delves into a Mormon Conspiracy Theory that there is a Mormon agenda to get Mitt Romney elected for some purpose to benefit Mormons in America. Is that true? You will have to read that and decide for yourself.

Mormon bishop's daughter spills Romney's 'secrets' ...
'Would you trust the judgment of a man if he truly believes he's gonna be a god?'

The daughter of a Mormon bishop who has abandoned her family's faith claims in a new book the election of Mitt Romney to the presidency would put the U.S. in danger due to what she calls the Republican's "outrageous," "horrific" and "mind-controlling" beliefs.

Tricia Erickson - Mormon Exposer

"While he attempts to portray Mormonism as just another Christian religion, Mitt Romney counts on his skills to shift our attention away from what he truly believes," says Tricia  Erickson, author of "Can Mitt Romney Serve Two Masters? The Mormon Church Versus the Office of the Presidency of the United States of America."

"If the American people knew what he truly believed, they would surely not place him in the highest office in the land."

Yet others, such as professor Bushman, a Mormon and previous missionary himself who has taught at Harvard, Columbia and Brown Universities, are defending the faith. He calls Erickson "disillusioned" and someone who "instead of walking away felt an obligation to discredit [her] former faith."

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the official name for Mormonism, has rocketed into the national consciousness this month since Rev. Robert Jeffress, a Rick Perry supporter who pastors the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, said Romney was "not a Christian" and that Mormonism is a "cult."

"Part of a pastor's job is to warn his people and others about false religions, "Jeffress said Sunday, standing by his controversial remarks. "Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Mormonism are all false religions."

Erickson says Romney believes:

·       He will become a "god" in the afterlife and be given his own planet

·       Satan is Jesus' literal brother

·       Jesus was not born of a virgin birth

He will be given his own afterlife kingdom where he will have sexual relations with his wife, Ann, to populate his kingdom with spirit children as God the Father Himself has a wife on His own planet.

"Mormonism teaches we pre-existed on God the Father's planet as spirit children before we were planted in our mother's wombs," Erickson told WND. "And the reason why we're here according to Mormonism, is so that we can work out our own progression to godhood and our own planets themselves."

The author, who herself was married in a Mormon temple at age 19 but now considers herself a non-denominational Christian, says there's a secret agenda  Mormon officials don't like to talk about publicly.

"A complete takeover of the government," she said. "They have more people in the CIA, the FBI. They have an employment office for Mormons in D.C. to be able to infiltrate them into the government."

"They've been trying since the beginning to get someone in the presidency, because they believe they have to establish their authority so when Jesus comes to Earth, the Mormon Church will take control of the government and the Mormons will be the government of God on Earth," she continued.

Erickson says her main concern is that the leader of the free world have the ability to discern fact from fiction.

"It may be crucial to our survival," she said. "If his beliefs are distorted, which they unequivocally are, why would it not be be (sic) critical to our existence to protect our country from being placed in the hands of such a person?"

When asked for specific rituals she considers bizarre, Erickson claims Romney and other Mormons take part in clandestine marriage ceremonies involving "outrageous" customs. Explaining her own Mormon wedding, she says she was forced to completely disrobe against her will.

"It was horrific," she told WND. "There I was standing naked. They brought this bowl of water, and started washing my body down and whispering prayers over my body. They stopped over the right and left breast, the navel and knees and prayed specific prayers."

To help ensure the general public did not learn details of the rituals, she says believers took a symbolic knife to feign their own murder if members spilled the beans of what really goes on behind closed doors.

"They actually had us slashing our guts open and our guts falling to the ground if we told people of the secret dogma of the ceremonies," Erickson said.

"Mitt is not a casual Mormon," she told online interviewer Thom Hartmann, noting Romney has reached the upper echelons of the faith. "There is no way that he will be able to not listen to the [Mormon] prophet. His eternal salvation depends on it. He has to put the church first over country."

When pressed about what some may consider the strange beliefs of other faiths, Erickson said of Romney, "I kind of believe, you know, that he should be completely sane and he should have discernment and good judgment. I mean if the man truly believes he's gonna become a god, would you trust the judgment of somebody like that?"

The Boston Globe reported in 2006 that Romney's political team quietly consulted with leaders of the Mormon Church to map out plans for a nationwide network of Mormon supporters to help Romney capture the presidency in 2008.

Officials with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints told WND they're well aware of Erickson's book, but were reluctant to respond to Erickson's assertions. Spokeswoman Jessica Moody says she encourages everyone to read the church's core beliefs as well as articles of faith posted online.

Regarding the plan, the LDS church states, "The mortal existence is seen in the context of a great sweep of history, from a pre-Earth life where the spirits of all mankind lived with Heavenly Father to a future life in His presence where continued growth, learning and improving will take place."

At the Values Voters Summit in the nation's capital over the weekend, Romney defended his beliefs, saying, "Almost all Americans live for a purpose greater than ourselves. Our heritage of religious faith and tolerance has importantly shaped who we have become as a people. We must continue to welcome faith into the public square and allow it to flourish. Our government should respect religious values, not silence them. We will always pledge our allegiance to a nation that is under God."

Bushman, meanwhile, says people need to remember that many faiths have doctrines and customs that other people find hard to fathom.

"To my way of thinking the idiosyncrasies of Mormon belief and practice are not the issue; Catholic belief in transubstantiation and Protestant belief in the resurrection [of Jesus] can be made to look silly, too," he told in reaction to Erickson.

"The question is Mitt Romney's independence. Will he pursue the public good as he rationally understands it, or will he bow to the judgment of Church leaders? Does his religion force him to be a puppet? Here we can turn to history for an answer. Temple-attending, believing Mormons have held national office for over a century now. Is there a single instance where they have succumbed to church direction against their own consciences. I do not know of one myself."

Earlier this week, WND posted a non-scientific, interactive poll in which readers were asked to sound off on Mormonism as a factor in the presidential race.

With more than 1,200 participants, the top response with 25 percent of the votes was, "Because it denies divinity of Jesus and salvation by faith alone, it is a cult, and a Mormon candidate should never be elected president."

In second place with 19 percent was, "If anyone doesn't appear to be a true Christian, it's the current occupant of the White House."

Cult Hutaree are Terrorists more than are Christian

John R. Houk
April 1, 2010

There are terrorists in our midst who are not Muslim. These terrorists have taken Christian apocalyptic Scripture to twist it into an excuse to commit murder of Americans who have a job to protect Americans. Ultimately the harm would include Americans who are seeking the benefits of the result of the American Revolutionary War. The Revolutionary War began a political experiment in which citizens were enabled to seek Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Those American foundations were based on Christian ethics and religious freedom.

This Hutaree religious cult that bases itself of a warped interpretation of Christian Scripture is giving a bad name to all people who call themselves Christians or Conservatives. In essence it enables Muslims who justify terrorism as a means to a desired end. I have been on a campaign to expose the violence that is inherent in Islam. Islamic violence and terrorism is a part of Islamic holy writings. The Hutaree cult members enable Muslims to point the finger at Christians and claim, “See! There is violence in Christian Scripture that justifies the same violent acts we Muslims are accused of perpetrating.”

The Hutaree terrorists also give more fuel to Leftists that blame violence in America as the result of Right Wing Conservative incitement. The Left has already jumped on board of the blame Right Wing incitement. When Leftists are condemning incitement they are speaking of people like Sarah Palin or groups associated with the Tea Party Movement. The reality (reality and Leftist are somewhat oxymoron terms) is Palin and Tea Partiers are protesting too much government, too much taxes and a return to Founding Father principles.

Evidently the Left does not count as incitement the ugly pronouncements over President G.W. Bush or prominent Conservatives who merely promoted security over the blindness of ignorance and the attempt to build democratic principles in intolerant nations or regions.

The reality is Lord Jesus Christ highly condemned violence. Christian apocalyptic Scripture is a warning to individuals who reject Christ because bad things will happen to individuals who embrace the Anti-Christ. Christians do not wrestle with flesh and blood but with fallen spiritual creatures under the minionship of Satan and the future (or hidden present) anti-Christ. Christian individuals are specifically instructed to resist evil with good. The only justified violence in Christianity is those set in place to enforce the rule of law and defend a nation.

The Hutaree cult terrorists are acting out to a self-developed theology that is more akin to Islamic jihad (spun by moderate Islam as outer or lesser jihad as opposed to inner or greater jihad).

Evidently the Hutaree terrorists have assigned the anti-Christ to the U.S. government and thus local police forces are tainted. Now I realize there are corrupt cops or corruption in some police forces that might be influenced by an anti-Christ spirit; however there are police who take their job seriously to “serve and protect” American citizens. It is a Christian duty to pray for those in authority that a Christian has the opportunity to live a quality of life in which the rule of law is enforced to keep murderers, thieves, anti-social violent persons and so on from harm. Christians are not of this dark world in Christ but we live in this world. Our mission is to share the Good News that Christ’s death, burial and Resurrection enables us to be children of God and joint-heirs with the First Born from the grave.

The Hutaree terrorists who have self-promoted themselves as Christians and American Patriot militia members are self-deluded individuals whose fruit demonstrate they are the ones under the influence of an anti-Christ spirit more than the people they intended to murder.

In America we have the Constitutional right when accused of breaking the rule of law of being innocent until proven guilty by a jury of our peers. If guilt is indeed assigned to the Hutaree terrorists who conspired to kill police officers by a verdict, then I pray the extent of the law puts them away. God have mercy on their souls.
