I’ll Vote for any Three of These GOP Candidates

John R. Houk
© March 3, 2016

Despite the insults being passed between the remaining GOP candidates, I’ll be voting for whichever one of these three in my order of preference without apprehension:

1. Ted Cruz

2. Marco Rubio

3. Donald Trump

Senator Cruz because he comes the closest to my sentiments on Conservatism and Social Issues.

Senator Rubio for roughly the same reason, but I have suspicion of his immigration agenda which if he follows through with a Gang of Eight process may favor a complimentary status for the illegal aliens who should not be here due to criminality or welfare benefits.

Donald Trump is third because of his open dislike for America’s current border security and his make America Great via a strong military and at least the intention of forcing lower wage and export price gouging from foreign nations to the detriment of Americans. Frankly I have big doubts about Trump’s Conservative and Christian dedication bona fides; however I can live with a President who doesn’t push any ideological position other than American Exceptionalism. Trump American Exceptionalism benefits Conservatives way more than the self-destructive American Left.

Now in saying all that I find it quite annoying that Mitt Romney has openly come out against Donald Trump in a pro-GOP Establishment manner. Honestly it is because of Romney that I left the Republican Party as a registered voter and change to a registered Independent. It’s the likes of LOSER Romney and GOP Establishment Americans had to endure another four years of the Obama deception and more America-destroying Leftist transformation.

ERGO I was quite pleased that the Gateway Pundit posted a segment portion of Fox News’ OutNumbered with Andrea Tantaro taking Mitt Romney to task for hating Donald Trump as if the words of a loser who should have won his bid has a valid opinion.

BOOM! Andrea Tantaros UNLOADS on Mitt Romney “Take It and Shove It!” (VIDEO)

The GOP establishment has launched an all-out assault on Donald Trump.
Mitt Romney fired a brutal attack on Donald Trump today in Utah.

Andrea Tantaros unloaded on former liberal Mitt Romney after his Anti-Trump speech in Utah.

This was brutal!

“It’s almost like a coach who lost the Super Bowl 42-0 is now coming out and telling the winning coach what plays to call. If you look at his record in Massachusetts and I want to take him to task on this, because he hit Donald Trump in some key areas. Mitt Romney is a liberal. He used to be pro-choice. Jonathan Gruber, the one who called everyone stupid, wrote Romneycare and Obamacare. That was Mitt Romney’s top aide. I don’t know if he was at the speech today I didn’t see him in the audience. Also, he lectured Donald Trump on foreign policy? Mitt Romney did not want to go after Osama Bin Laden. And that we should attack Pakistan or ask Pakistan for permission before we attack. Harris, I could go on and on and on. Mitt Romney has NO BUSINESS lecturing voters on electability or conservatism. And I think voters today look at him and tell his brand of conservatism to take it and shove it.“

Go Andrea!

No more RINO POTUS Nominations

RINO Alert

John R. Houk
© December 17, 2014

The Republican Establishment is beginning to slowly suggest their preferred candidates for the nomination of President for the November 2016 cycle. Honestly (and probably to the chagrin of Lefties) the only news I watch on TV is Fox News. And that network’s subliminal suggestions have been Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush. Both former Governors but both with long elements of Left Wing compromises.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the GOP nominating Romney for 2012. I did vote for him; however it was a between a rock-and-a-hard-place vote. I was any person but Obama voter. Romney has been indicating some stealth hints considering a 2016 run. God Forbid!

If the Republican Establishment succeeds in re-nominating for the 2016 election cycle, I am NOT voting for him. Neither will I vote for any Democrat. I will be voting for a Third Party candidate even if it is a wasted vote. The idiocy of the GOP Establishment of business as usual and the Dems Left Wing agenda are no choices for a fiscal and social Conservative.

Since I have experienced the idiocy of supporting Establishment candidates in 2008 and 2012, if the GOP nominates another alternative to Romney but with the same RINO credentials, I will not be voting for that person either. It is my opinion that Jeb Bush’s Conservative bona fides are suspect to be pro-RINO.

Now Jeb may not be as much as a RINO as Romney but he is probably enough of a RINO to perpetuate some of Obama’s America transformation. He would more than likely have a Dem-like immigration policy doctored up to fool voters, keep funneling money to Planned Parenthood funding abortion, abandon Christian morality in not fighting to reverse the courts mandate to allow same-sex marriage, remove everything Christian from taxpayer supported institutions, forcing Christians to do business with Biblically ungodly homosexuals under threat of a civil suit, increasing the deficit, keeping Obamacare rather than more Free Market medical reforms and on and on.

I’d have to do some more exploring into Jeb Bush to pin down some exact criticism rather than suspicions. Michelle Malkin has a good start toward a Jeb examination. Ironically I found this Malkin opinion piece in GOP USA. Perhaps that is an indication that GOP USA is not an Establishment dominated tool of the Republican Party.

Jeb Bush: The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Waterboy

By Michelle Malkin
December 17, 2014 6:55 am

Allow me to unite America's left, right and center in just three words: No, Jeb, No.

Former GOP Florida governor Jeb Bush made the obvious official this week when he announced on Facebook that he's "actively exploring" a 2016 White House run. Of course, he's running. That's what inveterate politicians do.

Well, I hate to break it to Jeb Inc. There's no popular groundswell for Bush Part III. None, zip, nada. Independents, progressives and conservatives are all weary of the entrenched bipartisan dynasties that rule Washington and ruin America. Only in the hallowed bubble of D.C. and New York City elites does a Jeb Bush presidential bid make any sense.

Jeb's indulgent (and ultimately doomed) enterprise has three privileged constituencies: Big Business, Big Government and Big Media. This iron triumvirate explains how the failed campaigns of so-called "pragmatic," "thoughtful" and "moooooderate" liberal Republican candidates such as John McCain, Jon Huntsman and Bob Dole ever got off the ground. The "Reasonable Republican," anointed and enabled by the statist Big Three, serves as a useful tool for bashing conservatives and marginalizing conservatism.

For Republicans who argue that Jeb is the most "electable" choice, I ask: What planet are you on? After two disastrous terms of Barack Obama's Hope and Change Theater, the last thing the Republican Party needs is an establishment poster child for Washington business as usual. I mean, really? A third Bush who's been working for his dad, his dad's friends or the government since 1980?

A Beltway-ensconced scion so chummy with the Clinton family that he awarded close family friend -- and potential 2016 nemesis -- Hillary a "Liberty Medal" last year as chairman of the National Constitution Center?

That's the GOP donor bigwigs' "fresh idea" for "American Renewal?"

To blunt criticism from the grassroots base on the right, Jeb's cheerleaders at the Wall Street Journal cite his "conservative" gubernatorial record of cutting taxes and privatizing jobs. So we're supposed to swoon when a GOP governor acts like he's supposed to act on standard, bread-and-butter GOP issues? Whoop-de-doo.

One thing Jeb's promoters won't be emphasizing: Over the course of his eight years in the Florida governor's mansion, government spending skyrocketed. The libertarian Cato Institute notes that Florida general fund spending "increased from $18.0 billion to $28.2 billion during those eight years, or 57 percent" and that "(t)otal state spending increased from $45.6 billion to $66.1 billion, or 45 percent."

Like big-spending father, like big-spending big brother, like big-spending second son and lil' brother.

I have another interpretation of Bush's "conservative" Florida years: It's called biding his time. Yes, Jeb put in his obligatorily GOP service on taxes and the Second Amendment. Not because he was wedded to deep-rooted principles, mind you. But because the "conservative" facade will come in handy during the primaries when he has to defend radical, divisive positions on his two defining national policy issues: Education and immigration.

Jeb Bush's agenda is neither left nor right. His agenda is the agenda of the D.C. headquarters of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Remember: The chamber is a politically entrenched synod of bipartisan special interests. As I've said before, these fat cats do not represent the best interests of American entrepreneurs, American workers, American parents and students or Americans of any race, class or age who believe in low taxes and limited government.

The chamber's business is the big business of the Beltway, not the business of mainstream America. And so is Jeb Bush's.

The Chamber supports mass amnesty for cheap, illegal alien workers. Jeb Bush supports mass legalization of cheap, illegal alien workers and accuses those of us who oppose it on constitutional, sovereignty, security and fairness grounds of lacking "compassion."

The Chamber supports the top-down, privacy-undermining, local autonomy-sabotaging Common Core racket. Jeb Bush spearheaded and profited from Common Core -- and accuses those of us who oppose it of opposing academic excellence for our own children. Jeb's problem isn't just Common Core. It's that he has no core. Instead of retreating from the costly federalized scheme that has alienated teachers, administrators and parents of all backgrounds, Bush has doubled down with his Fed Ed control freak allies and corporate donors.

The reign of Obama ushered in massive cronyism, corporate favoritism and Boomtown boondoggles galore. We've lived too long already under the boot of arrogant D.C. bureaucrats who've exploited their power to serve their friends.

No more business as usual: Stop Jeb Bush.

What Price Freedom? - Or Our New Leviathan

What Price Freedom? - Or Our New Leviathan

By Justin O. Smith
Sent: 11/13/2012 11:37 AM

A dark cloud of fascism surrounded the Beacon of Freedom on November 6th, as America's ill-informed and ignorant electorate rejected the ideas of personal responsibility and fierce independence exhibited by the early pioneer as he or she rose each morning and asked for nothing more than one more day to work towards success and gave thanks to God for seeing that morning's sun. By reelecting Obama, these neo-fascists have gladly embraced mindless open borders, the Welfare State, global warming/"green energy", appeasement and surrender as a foreign policy, and $20 trillion plus deficits. They have sold their Freedom for "free" contraceptives and an Affordable Health Care Act that inflates the cost more than if they had bought their own private insurance policies, and in the bargain they have ensured the enslavement of their children and their children's children to the Leviathan and those Statists who control it!

The job lay-offs and company cutbacks and closures (Walmart, Applebee’s, Krogers) have already begun in anticipation of the AHA becoming entrenched in U.S. law, especially since many small businesses are close to the 50 employee mark that forces them under its regulation, as it takes over an entire industry. Americans must not let their opposition to Obamacare wane, because its positive effects are few and its freedom killing regulations, such as imprisonment for anyone refusing to "buy" it, are vast and devastating both to the individual and the nation.

Obama's "mandate" is a fiction. He only won by two million votes, and he received nine million fewer this time than in 2008. The Republicans retained control of the House of Representatives with a 233-201 margin; and yet, Obama is proceeding with his theme that "the wealthy need to pay their fair share", as he prepares to raise taxes on all Americans by allowing the Bush tax rates to expire. He has suggested raising taxes on everyone making $250,000 or more and a return to the higher tax levels of the Clinton era.

Obama supporters echo his theme, even though the top 15% earners in the U.S. already pay 90% of the taxes. Steny Hoyer, the number two Democrat from Maryland, suggests that working families should not have to bear the burden of deficit reduction. Mary Kay Henry, Pres of SEIU, wrote in a letter to the 'Tennessee-Tribune': "We need a country where the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share. We need good jobs, we need to need to protect the vital services that millions of Americans rely on and we need to provide a pathway to citizenship for immigrants", signed with the American Communist Party slogan "In Solidarity"!

Steny Hoyer and others who voted for Obama are not only morally bankrupt, but they are economics illiterate. They do not understand... or even want to understand... that most of America's jobs are found in small businesses. They do not understand that more taxes on the wealthy tend to place brakes on new business, business expansions and the jobs that are created, thus burdening families further once the lay-offs start; fewer regulations and taxes have historically enabled and created a stimulated and vibrant national economy.

Mary Henry must not realize that current U.S. law already provides a path to citizenship for immigrants, but of course, she really meant illegal aliens, who all the Far Left liberals think souls be given amnesty, which did not work in 1986 and will not solve the situation now; legal Hispanic immigrants, who filed their paperwork and paid the fees, don't like the fact that the illegals claim their "right" to be here, expect to go to the head of the line and essentially be rewarded for their criminal behavior. However, Heather McDonald (Manhattan Institute) uses statistics to illustrate that, by and large, Hispanics did not vote for Obama due to his immigration stance, but rather they voted for him due to their own propensity towards large centralized government.

America had the chance to elect a potentially good President, Mitt Romney, who would have made the nation energy independent, but they stuck with the Fascist, who is once again preparing to tax carbon emissions by the metric ton and is positioned to close 200-400 coal plants by 2014; just this week a
coal plant in Utah laid off 160 workers. So, when gas prices keep rising and people can barely pay their electric bills (projected to soon increase by 30%), Americans need only to look in the damned mirror, because they created the situation by reelecting the most radical President in American history!

While Speaker of the House John Boehner has not been specific on what goals he might set for raising new federal tax dollars, his lack of spine is apparent, as he makes conciliatory noises and once again kisses their President's backside by suggesting that compromise on the debt ceiling and tax rate is possible. Boehner did, however, recently attempt to sound tough, as he stated that he
 supported continuing President Bush's tax
rates for all income levels.
Now that the debt ceiling "crisis", automatic tax hikes and spending cuts set to occur at the end of the year have set the stage for going over the "fiscal cliff," Obama speaks of reaching across the aisle in the spirit of compromise; however, he has shown himself in his first term as an intransigent, secretive pathological LIAR...and now we're supposed to take him at his word and join him? Not just "No", but "Hell No!" No deals should be cut with Obama...Let the Democrats be the ones to shut the government down if they will!

Obama's and Harry Reid's annual $1.5 trillion deficits have done their damage, and our economy may collapse no matter what saving steps are taken. Obama could take every penny from all of our millionaires and billionaires and still not make a dent in the nation's debt. The only chance we can give America is to 1) cut government bureaucracies 2) halt deficit spending 3) limit all spending 4) keep the current tax rates; an economic and financial collapse knows no party or race, and you on the Left are damaging the nation and everyone's future!

Obama, the Divider, and his neo-fascist supporters declare that Americans do not have the right and duty to preserve the society that so many fought and bled for centuries to build; their Utopian lust for a multicultural and transnational society is certain to destroy America if they aren't stopped, because no nation can survive long if its immigrants are not integrating into the culture and learning the common language or if its borders are not secured and its laws enforced. Obama has pitted women against the Church, unions against Wall Street and local governments, the poor against the rich, homosexuals (3% of the pop.) against the Church and the military (military cadre are retiring in droves due to the military's "gay marriage" acceptance) and race against race on many issues. His Marxist call for "social justice" is a farce, and his policies make American life insecure and unsafe, as he also ignores the Constitution, loots the U.S. Treasury, downgrades our Armed Forces and consolidates power.

There are those in America who have chosen tyranny over Liberty, but we
must resist, obstruct and sabotage Obama's and the Democrats' anti-American agendas at every turn in order to save our nation, because redistribution of the wealth is not a legitimate function of the government. The sober and resolute citizens can stop this out of control government...we can stop the liberal whores who bow at the altar of government servitude; we will not negotiate the terms of our economic and political servitude, or abandon our children to a dark and bleak future, or allow Obama to create a new order founded in ideas foreign to our culture historically and an anathema in every way. And, they do not get to dictate to us under Our U.S. Constitution, as we remain defiant in our demise, if it comes to pass. To
quote the great Mark Levin, "We're not good losers, you better believe we're sore losers! A good loser is a loser forever." With Freedom for All and Our Beloved America's future at stake, no options exist except for resistance ... no surrender!

"We have petitioned, we have remonstrated, we have supplicated, we have prostrated ourselves at the foot of the throne, and it has all been in vain. We must fight... We must fight!" -Patrick Henry

It is Time to Look for New Conservatism Apart from the GOP

obamaborg- Resistance Futile 2
John R. Houk
© November 7, 2012

I watched Fox News declare Obama the winner over Romney last night. Then I woke up this morning realizing it was not a mere nightmare. I had the sullen feeling I would have if my favorite football team had lost the Super Bowl (Seahawks by the way). My poor grandkids – I had the ‘you better not mess with mood’ working. I was so certain American voters were cognizant of the last four years of lies and deception that only committed Leftists would vote for the reelection of Barack Hussein Obama.

I am writing this without too much listening or reading to either the Conservative or the Leftist spin of Obama’s reelection victory.

The American voters have spoken. And yes I am aware this was a close election in the popular vote, but let’s be honest – Obama creamed Romney in the popular vote. As of writing these thoughts Florida still had not decided who got that State’s electoral votes. Guess what! Florida’s 29 electoral votes do not matter either way this election cycle. That is how big Obama won reelection.

Ergo, a majority of Americans believe in Obama’s vision for the USA and the transnational globe. Without attempting an exhaustive list that you could add upon here are some ideas to what American voters have chosen after already experiencing four years of Obamanation.

§  Obama’s entire academic political history has been following confirmed Marxists both of the Lenin/Stalinist Communism of people’s revolution and of Gramsci’s stealth revolution of transforming society under the radar.

§  Obama’s paper trail history has been covered up by Obama spending millions of dollars on lawyers to obfuscate the birth certificate issue, Social Security Card issue, the matter of citizenship of between a Kenyan Father, an Indonesian Step-Father and a mother with Marxist inclinations yet attracted to the Muslim culture. The document cover-up is particularly disturbing with hiding academic grades and papers written with an alleged academic mentality. Why hide those papers? Speculation is Obama may have felt the affinity Marxism may have been too strong for a remarkably Socialist enamored American electorate. Or Obama’s grades may have so poor an electorate my wonder how a Marxist undergrad moved up to the graduate level of Harvard (Occidental-Columbia-Harvard).

§  Obama’s religious mentor Jeremiah Wright immersed him in a liberal form of Christianity heavily influenced by Black Liberation Theology (BLT) combined with an affinity for the Muslim culture in which his childhood was immersed.

§  Obama’s role in leading America into a Socialist State by nationalizing healthcare and raising taxes including tax coercion to provide the illusion Obamacare is a fully funded government program.

§  Obama’s increasing of the National Debt to the point that U.S. financial cliff is in sight.

§  Obama’s cooperation with UN global intentions that will compromise the rule of law embodied in the U.S. Constitution.

§  Obama’s use of an Executive Order to cover-up his Attorney General Eric Holder’s Fast and Furious scandal.

§  Obama’s lying because Benghazigate (Part 1 & Part 2) resulted in the death of four Americans especially that of Ambassador Chris Stevens who possessed the international protocol of diplomatic immunity.

§  I’m sure my fellow Conservatives can add to this list.

A MAJORITY OF AMERICAN VOTERS IGNORED THESE STAINS VALIDATING FOUR MORE YEARS OF OBAMA TRANSFORMATION OF AMERICAN CULTURE AWAY FROM WHAT HAS MADE AMERICA GOOD!

I may change my mind after I cool off from this American blindness; however at this moment I feel on a personal level I need to make changes in political allegiances because those that actually run the Republican Party are more interested in a status quo Conservatism rather than actual Fiscal Conservatism and Social Conservatism and American Exceptionalism in Foreign Policy.

I have two to four years to find that direction. I do believe I will launch the investigative process to find that godly route.

The Lord Jesus reigns today and forever and human polity will one day be one with Christ.

T’was the Night before Elections

Chain Email
Sent: October 14, 2012

T’was the night before elections,
And all thru' the town,
Tempers were flaring
Emotions ran up and down.

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap,
Had shut off the TV,
tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden,
There arose such a noise,
I peered out my window,
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet;
They wanted my pay
To hand out to others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money,
And quick as a wink,
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink.

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart.
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, on Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause,
And as they flew out of sight,
I heard him laugh at a nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note...
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM,
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA, OUR ONLY HOPE.....
WAVE OUR FLAG HIGH!!!

13-Year-Old Jenny Gives Report Cards to Obama and Romney

The limits of American power

Caroline Glick 2
Caroline Glick is a Jewish gal that has been born, raised and educated in the USA. She moved to Israel to further her education and has been involved with the political process in Israel. I believe she holds a dual citizenship with Israel and America.

I mention this about Glick because the link to her essay that showed up in my inbox are her musings about the ramifications of the U.S. elections on November 6, Iran’s looming nuclear weapon production, Israel’s ability to attack Iranian nuke sites and America’s support or lack thereof in backing an Israeli attack on Iranian nuke sites.

Of question for those who don’t follow international geopolitics has to ask - why is Israel interested in destroying Iran’s nuclear weapons capability? The reason is Iran has threatened Israel’s existence since the Mullah revolution in 1979 and especially since the Administration Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as President. Ahmadinejad has been rattling the Iranian military sword against Israel’s existence in ever increasing ways.

So prepare to get your thinking cap on and to muse with Caroline Glick about the USA, Iran and Israel.

The limits of American power

By Caroline Glick
October 26, 2012, 9:24 AM

Monday's US presidential debate on foreign policy came and went. And we are none the wiser for it.

Not surprisingly, at the height of the campaign season, neither US President Barack Obama nor his Republican challenger Gov. Mitt Romney was interested in revealing his plans for the next four years.

But from what was said, we can be fairly certain that a second Obama term will involve no departure from his foreign policy in his current term in office.

As far as Iran and its nuclear weapons program is concerned, that policy has involved a combination of occasional tough talk and a relentless attempt to appease the mullahs. While Obama denied The New York Times report from last weekend that he has agreed to carry out new bilateral negotiations with Iran after the US presidential elections, his administration has acknowledged that it would be happy to have such talks if they can be arranged.

As for Romney, his statements of support for tougher sanctions, including moving to indict Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for the crime of incitement of genocide were certainly welcome.

But they were also rather out of date, given the lateness of the hour.

If there was ever much to recommend it, the "sanction Iran into abandoning its nuclear weapons" policy is no longer a relevant option. The timetables are too short.

On the other hand, Romney's identification of Iran as the gravest national security threat facing the US made clear that he understands the severity of the threat posed by Iran's nuclear weapons program.

And consequently, if Romney defeats Obama on November 6, it is likely that on January 21, 2013, the US will adopt a different policy towards Iran.

The question for Israel now is whether any of this matters. If Romney is elected and adopts a new policy towards Iran, what if any operational significance will this policy shift have for Israel?

The short answer is very little.

To understand why this is the case we need to consider two issues: The time it would take for a new US policy to be implemented; and the time Iran requires to become a nuclear power.

In the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, jihadist attacks on the US, then-president George W. Bush faced no internal opposition to overthrowing the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. The US military and intelligence arms all supported the operation. Congress supported the operation. The American public supported the operation. The UN supported the mission.

And still, it took the US four weeks to plan and launch Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan on October 7, 2001. That is, under optimal conditions, the US needed nearly a month to respond to the largest foreign attack on the US mainland since the War of 1812.

Then of course there was Operation Iraqi Freedom which officially began on March 20, 2003, with the US-British ground invasion of Iraq from Kuwait.

Bush and his advisers began seriously considering overthrowing Saddam Hussein's regime in the spring of 2002. They met with resistance from the US military. They met with a modicum of political opposition in Congress, and more serious opposition in the media. Moreover, they met with harsh opposition from France and Russia and other key players at the UN and in the international community. So, too, they met with harsh opposition from senior UN officials.

It took the administration until November 2002 to get the UN Security Council to pass Resolution 1441 which found Iraq in material breach of the cease-fire that ended the 1991 Gulf War. The US and Britain began prepositioning ground forces and war materiel in Kuwait ahead of a ground invasion that month. It took more than four months for the Americans and the British to complete the forward deployment of their forces in Kuwait.

During those long months, other parties, unsympathetic to the US, Britain and their aims had ample opportunity to make their own preparations to deny the US and Britain the ability to win the war quickly and easily and so avoid the insurgency that ensued in the absence of a clear victory. So, too, the four months the US required to ready for war enabled Iran to plan and begin executing its plan to suck the US into a prolonged proxy war with its surrogates from al-Qaida and Hezbollah protégés.

A CLEAR Anglo-American victory would have involved the location, presentation and destruction of Saddam's weapons of mass destruction. And this Saddam denied them. By the time US ground forces finally arrived, despite massive telltale signs that such weapons had been in Iraq until very recently, no smoking gun was found.

In the long lead up to the US invasion, then-prime minister Ariel Sharon warned that satellite data indicated that Iraq was transporting its chemical weapons arsenal to Syria. Sharon's warnings fell on deaf ears. So, too, a report by a Syrian journalist that WMD had been transferred to Syria was ignored.

According to a detailed report by Ryan Mauro at PJMedia.com from June 2010, after the fall of Saddam's regime, the Iraq Survey Group, charged with assessing the status of Iraq's WMD arsenal, received numerous credible reports that the chemical weapons had been sent to Syria before the invasion.

The stream of reports about the pre-invasion transfer of Iraq's WMD to Syria have continued to intermittently surface since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war last year.

In short, at a minimum, the time the US required to mount its operation in Iraq enabled Saddam to prepare the conditions to deny America the ability to achieve a clear victory.

THIS BRINGS us to Iran. In the event that Romney is elected to the presidency, upon entering office he would face a military leadership led by Gen. Martin Dempsey that has for four years sought to minimize the danger that Iran's nuclear weapons program poses to the US. Dempsey has personally employed language to indicate that he believes an Israeli preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear weapons sites would be an illegal act of aggression.

Romney would face intelligence, diplomatic and military establishments that at a minimum have been complicit in massive leaks of Israeli strike options against Iran and that have so far failed to present credible military options for a US strike against Iran's uranium enrichment sites and other nuclear installations.

He would face a hostile media establishment that firmly and enthusiastically supports Obama's policy of relentless appeasement and has sought to discredit as a warmonger and a racist every politician who has tried to make the case that Iran's nuclear weapons program constitutes an unacceptable threat to US national security.

Then, too, Romney would face a wounded Democratic base, controlled by politicians who have refused to cooperate with Republicans since 2004.

And he would face an electorate that has never heard a cogent case for military action against Iran. (Although, with the goodwill with which the American public usually greets its new presidents, this last difficulty would likely be the least of his worries.)

At the UN, Romney would face the same gridlock faced by his two predecessors on Iran. Russia and China would block UN Security Council action against the mullocarcy.

AS FOR the Arab world, whereas when Obama came into office in 2009, the Sunni Arab world was united in its opposition to a nuclear-armed Iran, today Muslim Brotherhood-ruled Egypt favors Iran more than it favors the US. Arguably only Saudi Arabia would actively support an assault on Iran's nuclear weapons sites. All the other US allies have either switched sides, or like Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain are too weak to offer any open assistance or political support. For its part, Iraq is already acting as Iran's satrapy, allowing Iran to transfer weapons to Bashar Assad's henchmen through its territory.

All of this means that as was the case in Iraq, it would likely take until at least the summer of 2013, if not the fall, before a Romney administration would be in a position to take any military action against Iran's nuclear installations.

And it isn't only US military campaigns that take a long time to organize. It also takes a long time for US administrations to change arm sales policies.

For instance, if a hypothetical Romney administration wished to supply Israel with certain weapons systems that would make an Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear installations more successful, it could take months for such deals to be concluded, approved by Congress, and then executed.

This then brings us to the question of where will Iran's nuclear weapons program likely stand by next summer?

In his speech before the UN General Assembly last month, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that by next spring or at the latest next summer Iran will have reached the final stage of uranium enrichment and will be able to acquire sufficient quantities of bomb-grade uranium for a nuclear weapon within a few months or even a few weeks.

Netanyahu said that the last opportunity to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons will be before it reaches the final stage of uranium enrichment - that is, by the spring. At that point, a hypothetical Romney administration will have been in office for mere months. A new national security leadership will just be coming into its own.

It is extremely difficult to imagine that a new US administration would be capable of launching a preemptive attack against Iran's nuclear installations at such an early point in its tenure in office.

Indeed, it is hard to see how such a new administration would be able to offer Israel any material support for an Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear installations by next spring.

So this leaves us with Israel. Over the past several weeks, there has been a spate of reports indicating that Israel's military and intelligence establishments forced Netanyahu to take a step back from rhetorical brinksmanship on Iran. Our commanders are reportedly dead set against attacking Iran without US support and still insist that Israel can and must trust the Americans to take action to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

There is great plausibility to these reports for a number of reasons. The intelligence and military brass have for years suffered from psychological dependence of the US and believe that Israel's most important strategic interest is to ensure US support for the country. Then, too, in the event that an Israeli strike takes place against the backdrop of a larger military confrontation with Iran's proxies in Syria, Lebanon and Gaza, Israel would likely require rapid resupply of arms to ensure its ability to fend off its enemies.

But when we consider the political realities of the US - in the event that Obama is reelected or in the event that Romney takes the White House - it is clear that Israel will remain the only party with the means - such as they are - and the will to strike Iran's nuclear installations.

Israel is the only country that can prevent this genocidal regime with regional and global ambitions from acquiring the means to carry out its goals.

About Caroline Glick:

I grew up in Chicago's ultra-liberal, anti-American and anti-Israel stronghold of Hyde Park. Hyde Park's newest famous resident is Barack Obama. He fits right into a neighborhood I couldn't wait to leave.

I made aliyah to Israel in 1991, two weeks after receiving my BA in Political Science from Beir Zeit on the Hudson -- otherwise known as Columbia University. I joined the Israel Defense Forces that summer and served as an officer for five and a half years.

From 1994-1996, as an IDF captain, I served as Coordinator of Negotiations with the PLO in the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. In this capacity I was a core member of Israel’s negotiating team with the Palestinians.

After leaving the IDF at the end of 1996, I worked as the assistant to the Director General of the Israel Antiquities Authority.

I then returned to geo-politics serving as Assistant Foreign Policy Advisor to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in 1997-1998.

From 1998-2000 I went back to the US where I received a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in June 2000. Although I spent most of my free time hiking in New England, it did not escape my attention that the vast majority of the faculty at the Kennedy School were not particularly fond of America -- or of Israel.

In the summer of 2000 I returned to Israel and began READ THE REST
