Jim Moran is a Dem-Party Congressman from the Virginia 8th District. Moran is a typical Dem voting with his fellow Leftists 98% of the time. Here is a Red State post in which Moran blames President Bush, the NRA and Republicans in general for Seung-Hui Cho killing 32 at Virginia Tech in 2007. The reality is that Cho had mental health issues and boom; he exploded into a homicidal killing machine then taking his own life afterwards.
In running for reelection Moran has continued his Leftist state of reality by taking aim at the Republican opponent retired Veteran Col. Patrick Murray making a remark about the difference between serving our Country by fighting America’s enemies in foreign wars and those he believes provide a more important service; i.e. those people volunteering for the Community good. And since Moran is a Leftist I am guessing his view of Community organizing is more support for alternate lifestyles, baby killing, undermining his nation with Socialist transformative concepts of change. I am certain Moran was referring to the local PTA or perhaps the Rotary Club publicly, that would be divergent from his Dem-Party President BHO elected on the mantra of Change which voters misinterpreted as changing politics as usual. President BHO’s ideological mentors such as Alinsky, Ayers and Rev. Wright should have been a wake-up call to BHO’s concept of Change. Jim Moran has a rating of voting 98% with the Dem-Party; he has to be an ideological team mate of President BHO.

Negative publicity has been burying Jim Moran ever since it became publicly known the he slandered the service of millions of troops and veterans last week. Moran shamefully said that when our troops put their lives on the line that it’s not “public service!”
Yesterday, Moran DEFENDED his outrageous and insulting statements, saying that he was talking about public services that specifically target Virginia, “a civic association, (parent-teacher association), or a non-profit charitable group” as he listed the different groups he considered “public servants”.
Not to take anything away from PTAs and charitable organizations but you’ll agree with us when we say that defending our country from enemies like Al Qaeda and The Taliban is much more a vital public service that benefits all Americans (including Virginians) than a neighborhood watch or Rotary Club that organizes a public park cleanup.
We applaud those organizations, but it’s nothing like what our troops do for us, safeguarding our freedoms and keeping us safe from those that would do us harm! Jim Moran is saying that serving on the PTA is more of a "public service" than serving in Afghanistan!
It’s unacceptable for an elected official to devalue the service of our troops, let’s send Jim Moran to an early retirement by sending US Army Colonel Patrick Murray to Congress!
Our troops are there for us whenever duty calls. Whether it’s to protect us from terrorists or helping people devastated by natural disasters and other emergencies, our troops deserve some credit for the public services they provide!
Patrick Murray, the immediate target of Moran’s attacks, defended himself and his fellow veterans, saying "This kind of disrespect to our service members not only offends me, but is insensitive to the sacrifices made by our dedicated military families as well."
Colonel Patrick Murray is a 24 year Army Veteran who comes from a military family. His father served in WWII before Patrick joined the ROTC program in college. After graduating he became an officer in the Army and went on to serve in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and many other places. He served in Iraq as part of The Surge that changed the course of the war there, and in doing so, the course of history.
Colonel Murray challenged Jim Moran, “Why don’t you come with me to Arlington Cemetery, where more of my friends and fellow service members are buried than I care to think about, and tell their surviving family members that their loved ones hand no public service. “
You can bet those military families, just as the millions of military families around the country who feel insulted, would tell Jim Moran that their loved one’s sacrifice in the interest of public service was more important than anything Jim Moran has accomplished in congress.
