Stand With Geert Wilders

Daniel Pipes has an article entitled, Why I Stand with Geert Wilders.”

In case you are out of the loop about international free speech, Wilders is a Netherlands (Dutch) lawmaker that heads the Party of Freedom (PVV) that is despised by European Leftists and part of a growing European awareness concerning Islam that has coaxed many EU and national voters to lean Right.

Why does anyone need to stand with Wilders? In America Wilders would be considered Right Wing with a Libertarian slant. The reason the political Left (in America as well) are enraged with Wilders is because he has chosen to eschew political correctness and has publically branded the Quran and the violent nature of Islam as evil. I too have this awareness of Islam. I am of the belief that those Muslims that believe Islam is a peaceful religion and indeed practice peace are self-deceived about the Mohammed mandates inherent in the Quran, Hadith and Sira. Those Mohammedan mandates are closely related to the Quran and Quranic traditions that are derived from Mohammed’s Medina and post-Medina words that were allegedly transcribed into written form after Mo’s death. This means the Mecca portions of the Quran are for the most part non-violent and focus on the great compassion of the singular Islamic deity known as Allah. (To explore reasons for this Islamic duality the website PoliticalIslam.com is a good place to venture.)

Since purist and moderate Muslims both consider the Quran and Mohammed to be divine perfection, Wilders’ branding is received with complete outrage among the Islamic community regardless of sect, ideology, moderate or radical and you get the picture. Though many of the so-called moderate Muslims peacefully vilify Wilders they really have not adequately expressed an outrage over the violent retribution called for by purist Muslims. The purist Muslims believes that Wilders is deserving of humiliating death to satisfy the honor of Allah, Mohammed and the Islamic Ummah in general.

The Islamic and political Left’s outrage has translated into multicultural free speech modifications in which the rule of law in Europe (ergo also Netherlands) have made it illegal to speak or write anything that might be offensive to race, religion or gender preference. The irony of this rule of law is it goes overboard in fabricating rights for Muslims and homosexuals while going overboard in eliminating the free speech rights of Christians, Jews and the political Right. Hence a Muslim or homosexual can say all kinds of vile and hateful speech without repercussions and the Slanted Right, the Christian and the Jew may be fined or go to jail for merely speaking their opinion or their religious convictions or tenets.

This rule of law mentality in Europe is what has gotten Geert Wilders in trouble in his homeland of Netherlands. If convicted under the Netherlands law for speaking out against violent Islam, Wilders faces fines or jail or both. Hence his trial should be of international interest to those who stand for free speech. It is not like Wilders is shouting “FIRE!” in a theater when there is no fire. Indeed Wilders’ conviction is from observing Islamic writings and acts of violence from the past and present. If the present does not change, why would anyone believe Islamic acts of violence and call for violence will change in the future?

SUPPORT GEERT WILDERS!
