Someone on Telegram (Hats Channel - https://t.me/HATSTRUTH) shared a .mov
clip (I converted the clip to mp4) billed as a banned 1998 Saturday
Night Live (SNL) parody of Schoolhouse Rock satirizing PCB pollutants derived
in the manufacture of “manufacture capacitors, hydraulic fluids, lubricants,
plasticizers and transformers”. If I had to guess, the clip was banned
because too many Corporation toes were stepped on. Possibly some of those
controlled SNL paychecks.
Some of the culprits tagged in the SNL satire that I noticed
General Electric (GE), Westinghouse, Fox Network, CBS Network, Disney, TV Guide…
to name a few. I suspect SNL is manufacturing guilt by association since these
days these companies have become subsidiaries of larger corporate conglomerates.
I’m not even going to try to connect the conglomerate web of present day
stakeholder (as opposed to shareholder) evil profit.
GE seems to be the 1998 focus of SNL ire. With the GE
thought, here is some GE/PCB history you can peruse:
