Sheriff Joe Supporters Beat Back Left Wingnuts

Arpaio Bill Board - Don't Recall Petition

© June 1, 2013

I’m probably a bit behind the curve on this; nevertheless I am pleased to announce the Leftists annoyed with Sheriff Joe Arpaio were duly defeated in their moronic efforts to get a recall election on the books in Maricopa County Arizona. The Left Wingnuts failed to turn in the 355,000 needed signatures of registered voters to force a recall vote.

The Left Wingnuts were probably organized in Arizona but their financial backing came from out of State. And so it is fair to guess that much of Arpaio’s campaign support came from outside of Arizona as well. That works for me since the Obama Administration was paramount in punishing Arpaio politically through the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security.

Did I mention the Obama Administration is wracked with scandal for using government tools to persecute individual Conservatives and Conservative organizations? I would not be surprised to discover Arpaio was part of an IRS investigation or a Justice Department investigation because of the good Sheriff’s anti-Obama political stand.

Anyway here is the WND article I read that I discovered the mixed bag of good news about Sheriff Joe.

Effort to oust Sheriff Joe fails
'After months of name calling, disparaging effigies and theatrics'

By WND
May 30, 2013

The effort to recall “America’s toughest sheriff,” Maricopa County, Arizona’s Joe Arpaio, fell short of the 355,000 voter signatures needed by yesterday afternoon.

Arpaio reacted to the outcome in a statement.

“After months of name calling, after the disparaging effigies and theatrics … this latest recall effort has failed,” the sheriff said. “This effort failed because the good people of Maricopa County, whom I’m honored to serve, rejected the wrongheaded idea of overturning an election.”

The recall campaign was launched by Respect Arizona and Citizens for a Better Arizona, which protested the sheriff’s aggressive approach to stopping illegal immigration, charging his office targets people on the basis of race, in violation of the Constitution.

Respect Arizona said it believes “our children deserve a sheriff that respects families, respects immigrants and respects Latinos.”

Randy Parraz, president of Citizens for Better Arizona, told the Los Angeles Times the two groups had nearly 300,000 signatures by the 5 p.m. deadline Thursday. He said the setback won’t slow down Arpaio’s critics, vowing “this fight is not over.”

In support of Arpaio, whose backers are as passionate as his enemies, a group called Citizens to Protect Fair Election Results was formed.

The group’s attorney Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, said “dangerous, subversive-like activities of Respect Arizona have the potential to launch this county and possibly the entire state in what can only be called an ‘Electoral Civil War’ that could cost the citizens of Arizona millions of taxpayer dollars.”

Klayman charged the allegations against Arpaio are “not only false on their face, but, in addition, also fraudulent since Respect Arizona obviously does not represent the majority of voters of Maricopa County, Arizona, who just re-elected Sheriff Arpaio a few months ago.”

Arpaio’s opponents contend he must be dismissed because his office has failed to adequately investigate more than 400 sex crimes cases and has cost the county $25 million in legal settlements over treatment in county jails.

In addition, in a complaint brought by Latinos, a federal judge ruled last Friday that Arpaio and his deputies unconstitutionally target people because of race.

The ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Murray Snow came in response to a class-action lawsuit brought by Hispanic drivers. At issue was whether police can target illegal immigrants without racially profiling innocent citizens and legal residents of Hispanic origin.

The ruling charges the agency stopped cars because they had dark-skinned people in them and arrested Latinos for suspected immigration violations without proper authority.

The sheriff strongly insists there has been no racial profiling, and he plans to appeal the decision.

Last summer, the Obama Justice Department closed a criminal probe into Arpaio and his deputies that also charged racial profiling of Latinos and unlawful arrest. The investigation began in 2008.

The Justice Department also sued Arizona for its law allowing state law enforcement officers to enforce federal immigration laws.

As WND reported, Arpaio has charged Obama “is waging war on Arizona over illegal immigration.”

Arpaio’s supporters have argued the sheriff won re-election fairly and that recall organizers shouldn’t be allowed to contest the election because they didn’t like the outcome.

Arpaio has said his office addressed the problems with the sex-crimes investigations and has made changes to prevent a repeat.

In January, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled regarding state Senate Bill 1070 that Arizona has the right to ask whether suspects are in the U.S. legally but cannot punish anyone for it.

In response to the ruling, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s suspended “the 287(g) program,” which allowed the DHS to deputize local, county and state law enforcement officers to assist in the enforcement of federal immigration laws.

“Evidently Obama didn’t get everything they wanted from the Supreme Court, so they decided to retaliate against Arizona,” Arpaio said at the time.

“What the Obama administration wants is amnesty,” Arpaio said. “DHS has made it clear the goal is to allow people here illegally to hit the streets.”

Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse team of volunteer investigators continues to probe President Obama’s eligibility for office, focusing on the birth certificate made public by the White House. Arpaio and the posse have concluded the birth certificate is a fraud and are urging Congress to investigate.

In April, a suspicious package addressed to Arpaio contained a bomb that was powerful enough to maim or even kill him, his office said.

Throw Needed Support Arpaio’s Way

Look – I think the Birther agenda is a dead issue. For my two cents I don’t believe Obama was born in Kenya; However I do believe when his Communist mommy married an Indonesian Muslim and moved to Indonesia that Obama became an Indonesian citizen. I believe Obama went to college on immigrant scholarships making it a problematic issue as to his citizenship status from having a Kenyan father and an Indonesian step-father and still be eligible for the Office of President.

I think the Birther agenda is a dead issue because there is no way Obama’s army of private lawyers with the support of the Lame Stream Media that any movement of actual discovery will occur until Obama is long out of Office. The whole thing about the Birther agenda is to get rid of that ineligible man who has been elected President. I am afraid that won’t happen during Obama’s Presidency. As a side note though the Benghazigate information is beginning to snowball and could lead to an Obama impeachment.

I know Hispanic-American citizens both by birth and by naturalization will rail against me; nevertheless I believe illegal immigration must be strictly enforced. I believe immigration reform should occur to make it easier for south of the border folks to work in the USA. BUT I have a huge problem with south of the border folks coming to America illegally to receive welfare, medical and educational benefits that lower income American citizens cannot access.

Now in believing this so strongly about immigration and also not being a huge fan of Obama’s Leftist “Change” agenda for American culture I admire people willing to buck the system and do the right thing even if it is NOT politically correct.

One such person is Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The County Sheriff that has managed a little bit of public scrutiny on Obama’s unverified citizenship path and an enforcer of illegal immigration laws set up to prevent illegal alien/immigrants for getting a toe-hold on American soil.

Arpaio won his County election in November 2012 but is as usual with Leftist agenda folks that election victory was irrelevant if the law provides an easy path for a recall election to nullify the duly appointed election. Chunks of money – as I type – are now going into the coffers of recall election proponents to remove an old Joe who enforces the law rather than create the law ex nihilo without or against Constitutional law.

Below is a plea for financial support for Sheriff Joe to mount a campaign to offset the recall Leftists working inside Maricopa County but probably getting boots on the ground and money from Leftist coffers outside of Maricopa.

(Joe Arpaio) Quick Update

Sent by Joe Arpaio
Sent: May 6, 2013 at 5:08 PM

I've written to you before about the effort to remove me from office, and I wanted to provide you a quick update.

A group of open borders extremists are right now paying for signatures from voters around Maricopa County in order to force a recall election against me. They have already spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on this effort and it is paying off for them.

As misdirected and delusional as these people are, their efforts are gaining momentum. Just last week the local newspaper reported that they have collected well over half of the required signatures to force an election.

Their deadline is May 30th and we are now hearing that the recall organizers are going to dump $500,000 to $1,000,000 in the closing days to pay for the remaining signatures.

Why do they want to remove me from office? It's quite simple. I have become the poster boy for the radical left because of my unwavering support and enforcement of our state and country's immigration laws.

John, time is running out and I need your help today.

In order for me to continue fighting for our shared values, I need
your immediate support.
Your donation of $25, $50, $100 or more will ensure my campaign has the resources it needs to fight back.

Every day, they are out there lying about me personally and about my record in order to dupe voters into signing their petition.

I certainly didn't ask for this recall but you can bet I will not stand by and let a group of extremists overturn last year's election and throw me out of office.

If they are successful I'm going to have the toughest re-election campaign in my career. In fact, because of the nature of recall elections, political experts predict I could very well lose the election.

I must have the necessary resources to stop this recall effort and that's why I'm reaching out to you today.
By acting now we can stop them from reaching their goal. Will you help me?

I know with your help we can stop this recall dead in its tracks. I won't back down from doing the job I was elected to do. I swore an oath to uphold, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution and no group of thugs or “community activists” will intimidate me from enforcing all of our laws.

We are now in the closing days of this fight.
I hope you will make one more small sacrifice and contribute to my campaign to stop this recall today
.

The stakes have never been higher. I would not ask for your help if I didn't think it was absolutely necessary to defeat these extremists.

I hope you will join me today.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Maricopa County, Arizona

P.S. Please don't delete this email. Any amount you can give today will help us stop this effort to remove me from office. I'm not going to sit idly by while these radical groups organize for my defeat. After you make a contribution, please forward this email to at least five of your friends or family members who stand with me in upholding the Rule of Law. Thank you!

Arpaio Faces Recall Shortly after Reelection

Joe Arpaio - America's Toughest Sheriff
John R. Houk
© February 9, 2013

I don’t live in Maricopa County in Arizona thus I cannot vote for or against Sheriff Joe Arpaio. I am gratified to hear that Sheriff Arpaio was reelected to another term of Office. Why? Arpaio has gained national attention because he makes sure inmates in his County jail don’t live in a country club lifestyle, he is bullish against illegal immigration and most recently he put together a team of forensic specialists to examine documents that are publically available concerning President Barack Hussein Obama’s eligibility for the Office POTUS. The last politically incorrect endeavor places Arpaio squarely in the controversial and oft berated Birther crowd.

[Side Note: My stand on the Birther Movement is quite nebulous at the moment because I believe that BHO is definitely hiding something about his past but at the same time I believe Birthers are grasping straws rather than facts. This makes them look like loons. Nonetheless, as long as Birthers continue to be a thorn in BHO’s side I love reading their speculations with the hope that one day something become verifiable.]

Arpaio’s initiatives have made him a target by Leftists on a national scale. Thus money is beginning to flow into the coffers of Sheriff Arpaio’s political enemies. AND those political enemies have initiated a recall election against Sheriff Arpaio.

Below is a national appeal for donations to counter Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s recall vote. Support Sheriff Arpaio, please.

Just three weeks after I was sworn into office for a sixth term as Maricopa County Sheriff, a group of radical extremists filed a recall campaign to forcibly remove me from office.

This is very serious. These left-wing groups of agitators are the same ones who spent millions against me in last year's campaign in an effort to defeat me. Because they didn't like the outcome of that election they are now going to spend millions of dollars to force a recall election this coming fall.

So far they have raised over $1.3 million to defeat me!

These sore losers just never stop. They figure if they can force an election in an off-year they'll be able to turn out every pro-illegal immigrant voter and steal this election. We saw them do the very same thing to an Arizona State Senator just over a year ago.

It's clear that these people will go to any lengths to see me defeated and out of office. They'll resurrect all the lies, distortions and personal attacks from last year's campaign and use them against me this year.

And what is this all about really? Why do they hate me so much? It's simple: I am the only law enforcement official in this state that enforces our laws against illegal immigration. Period. Everything else they'll talk about is a deceptive smokescreen because they know they cannot win on the issue of enforcing the law.

In fact, in their statement about the recall this group claims that I don't "respect, defend or protect the rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution!" This, coming from the same group of people who have waged a relentless campaign against me in an effort to stop enforcing the laws! I have sworn an oath to protect and defend our United States Constitution probably more times than these clowns have pledged allegiance to our flag.

You were such an important part of my victory last year even though we faced insurmountable odds. I certainly did not plan on this recall, but I have to ask you again for your support. The fight starts now. Over the next several months I am going to be bombarded with negative attacks and lies. I must have the necessary resources to defend my record and run a winning campaign.

But I don't care what threats they make. I will never back down one inch when it comes to doing the job I was JUST elected to do. I will continue enforcing all the laws on the books no matter what the consequences.

I am going to need your help now more than ever before. This campaign starts NOW.
Will you support me and my efforts today with a much-needed contribution of $860 (the maximum per couple), $430 (the maximum per person), $300, $250, $150 or even $50?
Your contribution today is critical as we face these radical extremist forces. We cannot allow a small band of thugs to thwart the will of the voters and erode the Rule of Law.

Trust me; I never dreamed I would have to come to you for a contribution again. But it's clear that I must ask you for your support and your prayers if we are going to beat our opponents.
Please click here now to make a contribution
.

Thank you for everything you have done and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Very Sincerely Yours,

Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Maricopa County, Arizona

P.S. Please don't delete this email.
Please make a much-needed contribution today. And please do me one more favor: Forward this email to at least five of your friends who may want to defend my efforts to enforce the law! Thank you!

Support Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch in Wisconsin’s Recall Election

Rebecca Kleefisch 3 Lt Guv (R-WI)
John R. Houk
© May 22, 2012

On June 5, 2012 Wisconsin is running a Recall Election for incumbents Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch. If that Recall Election was held one day later on the sixth an appropriate term for Republicans could be D-Day in Wisconsin. Instead of the Allies invading Normandy on June 6, 1944 to retake Nazi occupied land, the Republicans can storm the polling booths to support the successful changes that Walker and Kleefisch have accomplished in Wisconsin by scaring the daylights out of Wisconsin Leftists and Wisconsin Union thugs. Alas the Election Day for Walker and Kleefisch supporters is a day earlier than historical D-Day. The imagery is still valid nonetheless. You Wisconsin voters, if you wish to see Wisconsin to keep going the road of attracting more businesses and the reduction of the State Budget to turn a deficit to a surplus, then you really need to vote for Walker and Kleefisch.

I have been following the Tea Party Express support of Governor Walker for some time. Now here we are at the last minute in terms of the election process and the Tea Party Express is beginning to throw their weight of support behind Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch as well. That means money is needed to counteract the money of the Left Wing Dems and the thuggish Unions that are more concerned about holding onto a power structure than the future of Wisconsin.

By now I am guessing most Wisconsins have a handle on who to support and to where their campaign money is going. So those Conservatives residing outside of Wisconsin need to understand that a GOP win for the Governor and Lt. Governor will go a long way toward taking a chunk out of the Obama Leftist-Socialist agenda to transform America away from a Free Market Christian Moral oriented goal.

So it is time to not only give to Governor Walker but also to Lt. Governor Kleefisch either directly to their campaigns or indirectly to organization like the Tea Party Express (TPX is one of many of Tea Party organizations that recognize that money is need to offset the Dem-Union propaganda campaign).

Check out just how articulate Rebecca Kleefisch is in expressing Tea Party principles and the real successes of Walker/Kleefisch in Wisconsin – posted 4/16/12. This gal will go further than just Lt. Governor in her future:

Below is the Tea Party Express email drumming up support for Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and a local Wisconsin story about the Tea Party Express endorsement. Be sure to check them out.

Someone else needs Tea Party support in Wisconsin and we are there to help - will you join us?

We have been telling you for month about the importance of defeating the union and liberal left led Recall against Gov. Walker, but there is someone else that needs our support that is facing a Recall of her own.

Rebecca Kleefisch at TPX Endorsement

Gov. Walker's Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch is facing a Recall of her own, that is independent of Gov. Walker's, that is being funded by the unions and the liberal left and with the election only 14 DAYS away, she needs Tea Party support to survive.

Although she doesn't always see the front-page headlines that Gov. Walker sees, her Recall election is very important to the Tea party cause.  Lt. Gov Kleefisch is one of the bright rising stars in a group of strong conservative women that we support (if you watch the video of the press conference, I am sure that you will agree). In addition, if Gov. Walker survives his Recall, but Lt. Governor Kleefisch does not, it will make Gov. Walker's job very difficult.

Lt. Gov. Kleefisch deserves our full support as she has been a champion of Gov. Walker's reforms and stalwart supporter of Tea Party values every step of the way.

That is why the Tea Party Express has been fighting for Lt. Gov. Kleefisch and our chairman Amy Kremer was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin yesterday to voice our steadfast support for her and her battle against the unions and liberal left.

Amy Kremer giving TPX Kleefisch Endorsement

Lt. Gov. Kleefisch summed it up perfectly yesterday when she said:

"I wanted to make sure that folks understand how grateful I am for the endorsement and that I stand shoulder to shoulder with those who seek to preserve the liberties and freedoms that we have in this country, but also understand that our Governor needs his best partner on the Lt. Governor's office."

Wisconsin Eye Video of Lt. Gov. Kleefisch showing appreciation of TPX support [SlantRight Editor: Clicking the link will take you to a page asking you to agree not to copy or download video contact, then you will see the video.]

We need your immediate support to stand up to the liberal left and union bosses and to make sure that our Defend Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch Campaigns are as successful as last year's Tea Party Express campaigns to defend Republican Senators in their recalls and our campaign to elect Justice Prosser.

She is an strong conservative women that we must defend and needs our immediate support!  Donate $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or even more! Click here to contribute now!

Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch Thankful for Tea Party Express' Endorsement

May 21, 2012

The lieutenant governor, who faces a recall election in about two weeks, stood shoulder to shoulder with Amy Kremer, Chairman of the Tea Party Express, at a press conference Monday, May 21.

The national Tea Party Express has been a prominent player on the Wisconsin recall scene for nearly a year, and on Monday, it promised to remain one until Election Day.

In a joint press conference in Milwaukee, Amy Kremer, chairman of the Tea Party Express, publicly endorsed Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, who is facing a challenge from Democrat Mahlon Mitchell in the June 5 recall election.

“I want people around the country to know the accomplishments of the lieutenant governor and how she has been a strong conservative supporter for Governor (Scott) Walker and stood behind him,” Kremer said, as Kleefisch stood by her side. “They have been working hand in hand to make sure (good) things happen for the citizens of Wisconsin.”

Kremer said the Tea Party Express will be in Wisconsin on June 1 for a bus tour through the state. She said it is not uncommon for the group, the largest and one of the most prominent tea party organizations in the nation, to endorse candidates at a federal level, but said Wisconsin is a special case.

“This is, we believe, ground zero heading into going into November’s general election,” Kremer said. “People across the country are paying attention … We’ve been focused on what’s happening here.”

Tea party groups nationwide have been involved with the Wisconsin recalls for some time. In January, Wisconsin Grandsons of Liberty and We The People of the Republic recruited nearly 10,000 volunteers to scour over signed recall petitions to scrutinize the validity of signatures.

Another tea party group, The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama, has been sending out emails regularly in an effort to raise money to help fight the Walker recall.

And last August, when six Republican state senators faced recall opposition, the Tea Party Express held several rallies around the state. At a Thiensville rally in the 8th Senate District, where incumbent Sen. Alberta Darling was being challenged by Democratic state Rep. Sandy Pasch, several hundred supporters came out, though Darling herself did not make an appearance.

Kleefisch, however, eagerly accepted the endorsement from Kremer and the tea party with a little more than two weeks before the election. She said she spoke at her first tea party event four years ago, believes in the movement and continues to support the tea party’s direction and beliefs.

“I wanted to make sure people understand how grateful I am for this endorsement and recognition, not just that I stand shoulder to shoulder with those who seek to preserve the liberties and freedoms that we have in this country but also those who understand that our governor needs his best partner in the lieutenant governor’s office,” Kleefisch said.

Kleefisch said as lieutenant governor she has served the role of jobs ambassador, leading several small business roundtable discussions on how to improve the business atmosphere in the state. She said she has approached out-of-state businesses about coming to Wisconsin, and has spent time working on improving workforce development and matching up unemployed workers with open jobs.

The Tea Party Express’ endorsement was met with criticism from Mitchell’s camp, where Kleefisch was accused of relying on “out-of-state right-wing radicals.”

“I am proud to have the support of police officers, firefighters, teachers, nurses, electricians, and other middle class men and women throughout Wisconsin,” Mitchell said in a news release. “We need to bring Wisconsin back together. Middle class families cannot afford the Walker-Kleefisch Tea Party agenda that is dividing our state.”

Kremer said Kleefisch needs the support and help from “people across the country and people in Wisconsin,” and that the recalls are frivolous and a waste of taxpayers’ money. She said Kleefisch and Walker should be lauded, not recalled.

“Washington and Wisconsin are very similar, except that Wisconsin is on the right path and Washington is on the wrong path. We actually think Washington could take a lot of lessons from Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch and Governor Walker," Kremer said.

"When you look at what’s going on in Washington, where the Senate had not passed a budget in over three years and the only answer is to tax and spend and tax and spend and tax and spend some more, it doesn’t work," she added. "You compare that to what happened here in Wisconsin when the governor and lieutenant governor took office, a budget was passed right away and they closed that $3.6 billion deficit.”

TPX – History

Our Country Deserves Better – Tea Party Express is considered the largest and most successful political action committee within the Tea Party movement. Tea Party Express began as Our Country Deserves Better Committee, which began its rise to prominence during the 2008 election cycle when John McCain tapped Sarah Palin as his vice president pick. OCDB aired hundreds of thousands of dollars in television advertisements for Governor Palin, including a “Thank You Sarah Palin” ad campaign to help promote her conservative voice in America.

The enthusiasm for the Tea Party movement became obvious to the OCDB team when supporters not only funded the “Thank You Sarah Palin” campaign, but also voiced their desire to keep the organization active by opposing Barack Obama’s radical policies. A poll was commissioned asking supporters if OCDB should take the fight to Obama, and an overwhelming 97% of respondents replied with a “yes.” (READ MORE)
