AND the only evolution today from violent jihad is the development of a deceptive Stealth Jihad against the West and the USA in particular. Should You Be Concerned?

Despite assurances to the contrary from our nation’s commander in chief, it turns out that global Jihad is thriving. And it constitutes a greater threat to our nation’s security today than at any time in history.

Should you be concerned?

Of course, the answer is “yes,” but with qualification.

The most imminent domestic threat to your life and property, statistically, emanates from the sociopathic drug/gang culture, which continues to metastasize on urban poverty plantations and is now spilling into suburban and rural communities. That threat has been cultivated for the last five decades by ruinous political and social policies that were, ostensibly, enacted to eradicate the poverty those policies institutionalized.

That notwithstanding, the elevated threat to your life from Islamic extremists should be a concern – not because the probability of being an individual victim of an Islamist assault will soon be higher than the drug/gang culture threat, but because the probability of being among the cumulative victims of a catastrophic attack on our homeland – be it conventional, nuclear or biological – is escalating largely unabated.

The 9/11 attack on our country was perpetrated by 19 al-Qa'ida operatives. Its immediate effects – the loss of lives and the longer-term economic impact – were devastating. It would only take five to 10 al-Qa'ida operatives to create destruction on a 100-fold scale, with a little help from Iran or other terror-sponsoring states.

How real is that threat?

Islamic terrorist groups are surging worldwide, including Jabhat al-Nusra, Boko Haram, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Taliban, Jamaat-e-Islami, Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Khorasan Group and now, front and center, ISIL, a.k.a. the Islamic State – all of which together constitute Jihadistan, that borderless nation of Islamic extremists aligned under the Qur'anic umbrella.

Currently there are many American Islamists actively fighting among the ranks of ISIL in the Middle East – and they have significant networks of support in the United States. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper concludes that the direct links between ISIL and those domestic networks has created “the most diverse array of threats and challenges as I’ve seen in my 50-plus years in the [intelligence] business.”

How did this surge get underway?

In 2012, amid the cascading failure of his domestic economic and social policies, Barack Obama centered his re-election campaign on his faux foreign policy successes, which were built upon the following two boasts: “Four years ago, I promised to end the war in Iraq. I did.” And “al-Qa'ida is on the run.”

The reality, however, is that Obama’s “hope and change” retreat from Iraq left a vacuum for the resurgence of a far more dangerous incarnation of Muslim terrorism under the ISIL label, which has displaced al-Qa'ida as the dominant asymmetric Islamic terrorist threat to the West.

Clearly, it is Obama’s foreign policy malfeasance that poses the greatest threat to U.S. national and homeland security.

So, is the Islamic State actually, well, Islamic?

Not according to Obama. While he subscribes to the hate-driven rhetoric of Afro-centric theology, six formative years of his early life were spent attending Islamic schools in Indonesia, and that has clearly influenced his discernment regarding Islam.

In his address to the UN this week, he declared, “We have reaffirmed again and again that the United States is not and never will be at war with Islam. Islam teaches peace.” That was a repeat from his address to the nation last week, when he claimed, “Let’s make two things clear: ISIL is not Islamic. … And ISIL is certainly not a state.”

Reasonable people may disagree on whether the Islamic State now occupying much of Syria and Iraq is, at least by the Western definition, a state, but it certainly is a state in the Jihadistan context given the Islamic World of the Qur'an recognizes no political borders.

But for Obama to suggest “ISIL is not Islamic” is flatly absurd. Why else are American taxpayers providing Islamist prisoners at Gitmo copies of the Qur'an and payer rugs?

It is equally asinine, of course, for Secretary of State John Kerry to perpetuate the lie that “Islam is the Religion of Peace™” by claiming, “We must continue to repudiate the gross distortion of Islam that ISIL is spreading.”

Their errant assertions prompted this rebuke from Islamic State spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani: “[Obama and Kerry] turned into Islamic jurists, muftis, sheikhs and preachers, standing up for Islam and the Muslims, so it appears that they no longer have confidence in the ability or sincerity of their sorcerers…”

So, is Islamic Jihad really “Islamic”?

There are many excellent resources for understanding Islamic extremism and the rise of Islamic terrorism. But allow me to offer a brief overview of Islam and the schism that gave rise to global Islamic Jihad.

In 570 AD, Abū al-Qāsim Muhammad was born in Mecca (in modern-day Saudi Arabia). In the year 610, Muhammad went into the hills and claims to have received instruction from an angel to spend the next 22 years as the exclusive transcriber of Allah’s message, the Qur'an, which means “recitation.” Its 114 Surahs, or chapters, outline the religious, military, civil, social, commercial and legal systems of Islam. Most Muslims believe that Islam originated with the prophet Adam, and that Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus were Islamic prophets.

After Muhammad’s death in 632, Islam split into two factions, Sunni and Shi'ite – a split originating from a dispute about whether the religion should be led by strict adherence to the Qur'an, or led by Ali, the son-in-law of Muhammad. The Sunnis (from “Ahl al-Sunna,” meaning “people of the tradition”) bonded through Muslim orthodoxy. The Shias (from “Shiat Ali,” meaning “party of Ali”) were a political alliance formed around Muhammad’s descendant.

Despite the split, Islam thrived, and by the 17th century, a vast Muslim empire was controlled by a powerful military and was the cultural cradle of mathematics, architecture, art, law and science. But the rise of Western military power would divide and conquer the Muslim empire by the end of the 18th century, followed by European occupations of much of that former empire over the next century.

By the end of World War I, Islam’s Ottoman Empire was lost. Many Muslims adapted to Western culture, while some held to old Islamic traditions. But the re-constitution of the State of Israel in 1948 seeded a resurgence of Islamic fervor, a fervor that would unleash itself 30 years later under the watch of Jimmy Carter’s administration.

In 1979, the powerful and strategic state of Iran fell to the Islamic Revolution, and Shia cleric Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini returned to power. Student revolutionaries seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage, and that act galvanized both Shia and Sunni Islamist activists throughout the Middle East.

Today, Shia Muslims represent majorities only in Iran, Iraq and Bahrain.

But Islamic Jihad, including al-Qa'ida and subsequent terrorist groups, is rooted in Sunni orthodoxy. Sunnis represent about 85% of Muslims worldwide, including countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

So again, is Islamic Jihad “Islamic”? Indeed, it is.

 

The Suras of the Qur'an and the Hadith (Muhammad’s teachings) require jihad, or “holy war,” against all “the enemies of God.” For the record, orthodox Sunnis understand that these “infidels” include all Muslim or non-Muslim people who refute any teachings of Muhammad – which is why ISIL Sunnis are slaughtering Iraqi Shias.

It should be noted here that in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible, particularly the books of Deuteronomy and Joshua, the Israelites are instructed to destroy entire cities, including women and children. But unlike the Qur'an, these acts were isolated exceptions rather than the rule. The New Testament of Jesus is devoid of any such commands, and in fact is built on the maxim of loving our neighbors as we would want to be loved, including loving our enemies. There are clearly examples of atrocities in the last 2,000 years that have been carried out in the name of the church not God – including the Catholic Crusades, the Inquisition and the Encomienda System of forced labor and conversion in Spanish America. But every Christian Historian, Theologian and Preacher brands those actions as aberrations and contrary to the faith.

On the other hand, few Muslim leaders worldwide, brand Islamic Jihad, which is undertaken in the name of Allah, as contrary to the faith.

Rebutting Obama’s assertion that Islamic Jihad is disconnected from Islam, Hoover Institution Fellow Dennis Prager writes: “Killing ‘unbelievers’ has been part of – of course not all of – Islam since its inception. Within 10 years of Muhammad’s death Muslims had conquered and violently converted whole peoples from Iran to Egypt and from Yemen to Syria. Muslims have offered conquered people death or conversion since that time. … More than 600 years after Muhammad, Ibn Khaldun, the greatest Muslim writer who ever lived, explained why Islam is the superior religion in the most highly regarded Muslim work ever written, ‘Muqaddimah,’ or ‘Introduction to History’: ‘In the Muslim community, the holy war is religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and (the obligation to) convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.’”

Thus, if you’re among those who resist or refute Muhammad’s teachings, you’re a de facto enemy of Islam.

According to Muhammad in the Qur'anic verses, Allah commands, “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”

Do you refute any teachings of Muhammad?

Based on the Sunni Islamist history of violence, it is clear that Islam is not “the Religion of Peace,” though a significant percentage of Muslims worldwide, and in the U.S., do not subscribe to Islamist Jihad theology. But the number of Sunni Muslims who do support that totalitarian theology is staggering.

According to the Pew Research Center, there are 2.75 million Muslims in the U.S. today. Notably, about 90% of Muslims in America are Sunni. The Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Nation of Islam have now established more than 2,200 mosques, some of which have become hotbeds of support for Sunni Islamist extremists. The ethnic group with the fastest growing conversion rate to Islam is Latino – 12 million of whom are now in the U.S. illegally, and who continue to pour across our southern border.

Do any of those grim statistics concern you?

Obama declared to the UN, “When it comes to America and Islam, there is no ‘us’ and ‘them,’ there is only ‘us’ because millions of Muslim Americans are part of the fabric of our country.”

Do have less concern now?

At the conclusion of the American Revolutionary War, George Washington wrote that our nation has its roots in “the establishment of civil and religious liberty.”

Islam, on the other hand, is founded on the abolition of civil and religious liberty – which is to say it is diametrically opposed to the notion that Liberty is “endowed by our Creator.”

I have watched Obama, and his fellow progressives for years, and by rejecting the ever abundant internet tripe that ensnares so many, have gleaned an enormous amount of facts and insight into their behavior, and in doing so feel that my efforts have uncovered most of their diabolical plan, about which I have been writing for so long.

I first concluded three years ago that Obama's policies were going to result in nuclear conflict and at that time related their plan only to the ruin of Israel, already understanding both his and George Soros' hatred of that small nation. Time and yet more facts coming to light have led me to see a much larger picture, one that is nothing less than absolutely diabolical.
 
So many refer to Obama as a dictator. They are mistaken. That is his goal, but as of yet it has thankfully not come to fruition. Were he indeed a dictator, we would not be communicating freely on the internet, and the DHS would already be rounding up dissidents. That day is planned, but thus far we still have the First Amendment allowing us to communicate amongst ourselves.

There is no doubt that Hussein does indeed plan on implementing martial law when the time is right and declaring himself to be 'The One'. That time is not yet here but is most assuredly part of his planned agenda, and I am now convinced that the success of that plan relies on a nuclear crisis. Were that not so, Hussein Obama would not be expending so much effort to guarantee that Iran is successful in their desire to construct a nuclear bomb.

Surprisingly ACT for America has cross posted via email a LA Times article that is a write-up about former CIA double agent spy Reza Kahlili. I say “surprisingly” because the LA Times is typically a MSM outlet that would normally consider such information as an attack on multiculturalism and as Islamophobia.

ARLINGTON, Va. — His disguise consists of a blue surgeon's mask, sunglasses and a baseball cap that reads "Free Iran." A small modulator distorts his voice. He uses a pseudonym, Reza Kahlili.

He lives in fear, he says, because his years as a paid spy for the CIA inside Iran have made him an assassination target of Iran's government. He worries about his wife and children, who live with him in California.

At the same time, implausibly, he has become one of the most influential and outspoken voices in the U.S. advocating the overthrow of the Iranian government.

For the last two years, Kahlili has gone semipublic with a memoir, a blog, op-ed pieces and invitation-only speeches at think tanks. He warns that Iran operates terrorist sleeper cells inside the United States and is determined to build nuclear weapons to destroy Israel. The U.S. should respond, he argues, by supporting the opposition inside Iran.

He travels furtively between appearances, working as a Pentagon consultant and as a member of a domestic security task force.
"There's probably nobody better on our side in explaining the mind-set of those in power in Iran," said Peter Vincent Pry, a former CIA military analyst who directs the Task Force on National and Homeland Security. "He understands the ideological sources of Iran's nuclear program."

U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-N.Y.), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said Kahlili has convinced him of the importance of supporting the opposition and hardening sanctions against Iran.

"I thought I knew a lot about Iran until meeting with him," King said on a New York political radio program in January. At the time, Kahlili was a guest and King was a guest-host, but the two had previously met in the congressman's office.

"If you're going to take this issue seriously, the one person you have to consult with and read his writings is Reza Kahlili," King said.

In a quiet hotel lounge in Arlington, Kahlili is not wearing his disguise or using his voice modulator for a meeting with a reporter.

"You'd be shocked by how easily agents from the Revolutionary Guard come and go inside the United States every day," Kahlili says in a near-whisper, bent over a table in a dark corner.

A soft-spoken man in his mid-50s, Kahlili is wearing jeans, a sports shirt and a black coat. He's of average height and weight, with a smattering of facial hair.

He made certain he wasn't followed, he says, and performed a quick security check of the hotel.

"They'd kill me if they could find me," he says of Iranian agents.

Mark Zaid, a national security lawyer in Washington, D.C., said he had confirmed that Kahlili was a longtime operative of a U.S. intelligence agency, adding: "He has insights on Iran most people in the U.S. intelligence community don't have."

For covert operatives, clearance agreements with the CIA often prohibit public acknowledgment of the agreement itself or of the CIA. A CIA spokesman, Todd D. Ebitz, said the agency had no comment on Kahlili.

Brian Weidner, program coordinator for Iran instruction at the Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy, confirmed that Kahlili is a paid lecturer for the Pentagon agency. Other instructors are videotaped, Kahlili says, but his lectures are audio-only to protect his identity.

He rarely leaves home — "my bunker," he jokes — and shuns social situations.

For years, his mother in Iran berated him for working for a regime she despised; she died never knowing about his CIA spy work, he says. His children know nothing of his background. His Iranian wife was unaware of his spying for years, and was hurt, angry and terrified when he finally told her.

"It took a long time for that to heal, and for her to understand why I did it," Kahlili says. Though his wife is pleased that he has publicized Iran's human rights abuses, he says, she has begged him to go back into hiding.

He is pained by regrets. "I put my family in danger without giving it much thought," he says. "They didn't know what I'd done, but they were in as much danger as I was."

The spy story Kahlili tells in his book, and in several interviews with The Times, features coded messages, disinformation, clandestine meetings and international intrigue.

After graduating from USC, Kahlili returned to Iran just before the 1979 revolution toppled the Shah. A childhood friend recruited him into the Revolutionary Guard, where he gained an insider's access to the new Islamic government — and where he was to turn against the regime.

The Guard executed teenage girls for associating with opposition groups, but first raped them to deny them the heavenly paradise guaranteed to virgins. One of Kahlili's best friends and the man's two siblings were tortured and executed.

Eventually, he persuaded his superiors to let him fly to Los Angeles, telling them that his aunt there was ill. He looked up the FBI in the phone book and persuaded two agents to meet with him. They sent him to a CIA handler in London. He passed polygraph exams and returned to Iran as Wally, a secret agent who communicated via coded letters and radio messages.

Kahlili says Iranian terrorist cells inside the U.S. have weapons, explosives, money and safe houses; they use contacts with Mexican and Latin American drug cartels to smuggle explosives and weapons into the U.S.

"They have very detailed information about sensitive sites such as bridges, railroads, airports, military bases, power plants, nuclear sites, water plants, railway stations," he says.

If the U.S. or Israel attacked Iran, he says, sleeper cells inside the U.S. would launch suicide bombings and sabotage. Iran would attack Israel, and U.S. bases in Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf, he warns.
Kahlili says Iran has intelligence agents inside American universities, Islamic cultural centers and charitable institutions, posing as academics, policy experts and officers of nonprofits. They try to influence policymakers to encourage negotiations in order to give Iran time to develop nuclear weapons.

Kahlili says the Iranian leadership is motivated by Mahdism, the messianic belief that the 12th imam of Shiism, the Mahdi, will one day reappear to establish universal Islam. The trigger is the destruction of Israel.

Sanctions against Iran won't work, Kahlili argues. "It's not about the economy. It's about ideology," he says.

Inside the hotel lounge, Kahlili appears worn and weary. He glances around. He says Iranian agents are trying to find him and his family.

"I have a lot of anxiety — I feel a lot of pressure," he says. "I feel sick sometimes and I can't sleep."

There is only so much he can do to protect his family, he says. "If [Iran] found out about me, we'd be sitting ducks," he said.

He smiles wanly. "Sometimes I think I should stop," he says. "I think I must be crazy."

But in the same breath, he also says the American public must be told about what is happening in Iran and what could happen in the United States. Iran's regime must fall, he says.

And then he is gone, out the busy hotel lobby and into the night, a man with an assumed name living a life on the margins, running to and from his past.

I found an awesome article written by Lisa Graas at NewsReal Blog about the idiocy of the Left having a blind eye when it comes to the detrimental aspects of Islam that translates into activist political hatred toward non-Muslims and Jews, particularly if the non-Muslims have the word “American” in their pedigree.

The reason this article is so important is because of the Congressional Hearing Chaired by Rep. Peter King (R-NY) about radical Islam in America. The Left and Muslim Apologists have gotten their backs up about the King hearings like a mad scared cat seeing a dog with big teeth around the corner.

On Sunday night I caught a glimpse of Geraldo at Large covering this protest which I understand was themed “I am a Muslim”. On Geraldo I saw Hollywood stars which were Leftists with really no particular affiliation to any religious claim, proclaim that those old Right Wingers were a bunch of ignorant folks who have turned into haters much like Hitler hated the Jews. In fact I heard and saw a Reformed Jewish Rabbi stand alongside Imam Rauf and wife Daisy Khan, the Muslim orchestrators of the New York City protest, boldly expressing his solidarity with Muslims. Obviously that Rabbi had not read an English translation of a book Rauf wrote in Arabic that upheld the principles radical Islam. Here is summary of Imam Rauf’s actual beliefs as the chief promoter of the Ground Zero Mosque which he likes to call the Cordoba House:

More Americans now know that Rauf, as recently as March, said in Arabic that he opposes interfaith dialogue. They know he is a vocal supporter of sharia law, that he says governments which do not employ sharia law are “unjust” and that he has refused to label Hamas a terrorist organization. They know he has refused to sign the “Freedom Pledge,” issued by Former Muslims United, which pledges to oppose retaliation and punishment toward Muslims who leave Islam. Imam Rauf is not the voice of moderate Islam and yet I am not surprised the who’s who of Left Wing Hollywood and Leftist Pundits turned out for this display of deluded support for a couple of Muslims that would end the right of Leftists to protest if Sharia Law (GOD FORBID!) became the legal practice rather than the rule of law U.S. Constitution.

Holding placards that read "Today I am a Muslim, too," a few hundred people gathered at what the news media termed "the interfaith protest."  Attending the protest and speaking to the crowd were Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson and hip-hop producer Russell Simmons.

Other celebrities who showed their support include; Juelz Santana, Kimora Lee Simmons & Djimon Hounsou, Adrien Grenier, Cory Booker, Susan Sarandon, Swizz Beatz, Jermaine Dupri, Lorraine Bracco, John Legend, Heather Graham, Jim Jones, Kelly Bensimon, Reverend Run, Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian, Congressman Charles Rangel and others.

Getting back to the Leftist Ten Commandments on Reporting; there is commentary on each Leftist Commandment. Too bad the Leftists at the New York City protest did not read Graas’ for their own enlightenment out of the depths of ignorance. O shucks! It could be these here super smart intellectual Leftists might have kept their idiotic blinders to reality anyway.

The Ten Commandments of Leftist Reporting on Islam

Thanks to the rise of the internet and social media, people throughout the world can now gain access to far more information than was believed possible just two decades ago. However, the big leftist media conglomerates of old nevertheless retain great power to influence societal attitudes on a large scale…and they do not shy away from using that power to sway public opinion their way. Particularly in “movement media”, we see an endless stream of radical propaganda that has become valuable as a political mechanism of organizing for the Shadow Party. But these and their compatriots in the so-called “mainstream media” have evolved even further in their role as a propaganda machine in recent years. They have become apologists not only for a secular ideology, but now also for a wholly political religion – Islam. These Islamapologists have many clear lines that they invariably refuse to cross in their reporting on this particular religion; lines that are so unmistakable that we can identify them specifically. They are the “Ten Commandments of Leftist Reporting on Islam.”

And we’re starting with… censorship.

I. Thou Shalt Not Take the Name of Muhammad in Vain

The founder of Islam is Muhammad and, just as the life and teachings of Jesus are at the top of the ladder in Christianity, the life and teachings of Muhammad are at the top of the ladder in Islam. Muhammad himself is the highest model for Muslims. His precepts as outlined in Sharia Law are considered by Muslims to be mandatory for all of mankind. Despite the unmistakable call in Islam for outright theocracy, wherein the religion and the state are completely inseparable, a situation that fundamentally imperils the very lives of all who dare dissent, the leftist media would, nevertheless, like you to meet and appreciate the founder of Islam. Meanwhile, those who may want to be critical face the possibility of being executed.

Arianna Huffington’s blog The Huffington Post tends to lead the pack in promoting Muhammad as an individual. Though criticized by others on the left for such things as “bogus and crackpot medical theories”, The Huffington Post frequently preaches the virtues of Muhammad with virtually no criticism for this Islamapologist behavior originating from any source outside conservative opinion media. Two of their recent Islamist “sermons” include “This Christmas, Give the Gift of Knowledge About Islam” and “The Idiocy of the Anti-Sharia Crowd”.

At HuffPo, Muhammad is all the rage.

II. Thou Shalt Compare Radical Islam to Conservatism

In presenting his book American Taliban for public consumption, Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas Zuniga claimed that conservative concerns about leftist tolerance for Islamic terrorism are an “extra level of stupid” because “these Islamic fundamentalists subscribe to the very same ideology and values that drive American modern conservatives.” The meme that conservatism is equivalent to Islamic fundamentalism got its first big jump-start in the leftist media and it continues today. On any given day and in all areas of both movement and ‘mainstream” media, one can find radical Islam termed not as “radical Islam” but rather the “conservative” form of Islam. The left is hereby co-opting the term “conservative”, using it to describe both those who murder in the name of Allah and mainstream leaders in America who happen to be politically conservative.

Recently, for example, the New York Times has taken to using the word “conservative” in defining Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Chris Christie, Virginia Thomas and pro-life Catholics while also using the term to describe a “student vigilante” in Iran, Islamists in Tunisia who threaten the most basic rights of women, and Islamic bombers in Pakistan.

Using the same word to lump American conservatives in with Islamists? It’s the leftist way.


III. Thou Shalt Keep Holy the Name of Islam

The term “Islamophobia” was first used in media by a member of the Soviet Academy of Sciences in 1990 to warn that the “Islamophobia” of Soviet leaders might result in an “Islamic explosion“. In other words, if Islam is criticized, there will be violence. In this, it signified a dangerous capitulation to the inherently intolerant system that Islam is. By condemning criticism of Islam, one therein upholds the the (sic) precept of the “supremacy” of Islam over all other belief systems. He has become a “dhimmi” by allowing Islam to conquer him internally through “jihad“. In this context, the Islamist can truthfully claim that jihad” is not violent but is rather an “interior struggle”. If one allows himself to be conquered internally by accepting that Islam is supreme and never to be criticized, there is no need, in the mind of an Islamist, for you to be killed. In reality, then, those who criticize Islam are not the “phobic” (fearful) ones. It is the dhimmis of the world who are fearful of Islam.

Conservative talk radio host Dennis Prager has noted that “Islamophobia” is a term that is “brilliant” in its shrewdness as it implies that disagreement with this political/religious ideology is “racist”. The Left has been playing “identity politics” for years, having utterly rejected individualism on such a serious level that they cannot even acknowledge, let alone value, the clear distinction between individuals and ideology. This is dangerous. If one cannot distinguish between “persons” and “ideas”, one might then reason that in order to “kill” an ideology, the people who hold the ideology must themselves be killed. Fascism and Communism, both of which are responsible for the murder of billions of individual persons in recent history, share collectivism as a key element. The Nazi regime and their compatriots tossed Jews into ovens to kill European “Jewry” and Stalin murdered millions of Ukranians (sic) in bringing “socialism to the countryside”. Collectivism, which rejects individualism, is the intellectual common ground that Islamists share with fascists and communists.

“Individualism” refers to the “moral worth of the individual”. If I value the “moral worth of the individual”, I will, as a matter of logic, understand that the people who hold to an ideology are not ‘themselves’ the ideology. David Horowitz has noted that justice compels us to warn people about the dangers of any destructive ideology in order to preserve individuals from harm. Warning others about that harm is an act of love, not hatred. It is not representative of fear, but courage.

IV. Thou Shalt Honor Radical Islamists

“If a fellow called Mohammed mows down a bunch of students”, Mark Steyn once wrote, then it is “just one of those things.” Indeed, when Muslims commit the atrocities that their particular religion teaches them to commit, political correctness and appeasement by the Left results in our being kept in the dark. This is clear in the failure of so many on the Left to point out the jihadist nature of the Fort Hood massacre perpetrated by Nidal Malik Hasan. Most troubling, however, is that we find the Left frequently taking the wrong side on issues related to 9/11, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other areas directly related to national security. Tea Party groups protesting anti-Semitism are smeared as hate-mongers, while radical Islamists are honored. Jane must be proud.

One recent example of the honor Islamists receive in the leftist press is Arianna Huffington’s decision to give a platform to stealth jihadist Tariq Ramadan. This grandson of the founder of the jihadist Muslim Brotherhood was allowed to make the case for the Muslim Brotherhood’s participation in Egypt’s political process.

By honoring radicals with platforms through political correctness and appeasement and turning a blind eye to the radical Islamist agenda right here in America, the leftist media is responsible for misinforming Americans about the most dangerous threat to our national security. Meanwhile, the smearing of all who oppose anti-Semitism and jihad adds insult to injury.

I’m reminded of a quote from the Hebrew Scriptures, which all so-called “People of the Book” should heed:

Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil: that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.

V. Thou Shalt Ignore Islamists’ Murderous Jihad Against “Infidels”

Islamists routinely call for a second Holocaust and have engaged in unspeakable horrors against the people of Israel, not to mention women, children, apostates and homosexuals. During recent years, jihad has been responsible for an ever-growing number of Christian deaths in Islamist countries throughout the world. Perhaps first among them, as of today, are the Coptic Orthodox Christians, especially in newly “democratized” Egypt. While the Obama Administration has expressed interest in the Muslim Brotherhood having a place at the table, the plight of Christians in Egypt has been virtually ignored. Frequently found are articles about how wonderful the status of the Copts is in Egypt. But ‘hearts and rainbows’ accounts are merely anecdotes that distract millions of us from the sufferings of the Coptic community-at-large.

On February 24, we learned of Egyptian military attacks, with live ammunition and RPGs, on multiple monasteries in Egypt.

For the second time in as many days, Egyptian armed force stormed the 5th century old St. Bishoy monastery in Wadi el-Natroun, 110 kilometers from Cairo. Live ammunition was fired, wounding two monks and six Coptic monastery workers. Several sources confirmed the army’s use of RPG ammunition. Four people have been arrested including three monks and a Coptic lawyer who was at the monastery investigating yesterday’s army attack. [...]

[...] The army also attacked the Monastery of St. Makarios of Alexandria in Wady el-Rayan, Fayoum, 100 km from Cairo. It stormed the monastery and fired live ammunition on the monks. Father Mina said that one monk was shot and more than ten have injuries caused by being beaten with batons.

The only mention of this at the New York Times consists of one sentence buried in a March 3 article which mentions only the knocking down of the walls of one monastery. Not even the destruction of a home for handicapped children will pierce their hearts enough to report on the “utterly inhuman” jihad.

VI. Thou Shalt Not Put the Rights of Women Above Islam

At Salon, women under Sharia are joked about…though Islamapologetics appears to be all the rage.

Much like a woman under Sharia law, the movies lose value when touched by another man.

At The Nation, stoning is condemned without any mention of Sharia, the religious system of Islamic law from which the practice comes, while Newt Gingrich is said to have “lost his marbles” for being concerned about this Islamic law. At Daily Kos, no mention could be found for women under Sharia since at least January, 2010, but “Islam” is popular. There is no mention of Sharia at Common Dreams; only a smear against Tea Party activists who dared criticize the anti-Semitism of ICNA.

Could there be any wonder that the Left loves Islam and Sharia? They are in sync with President Obama on the issue of women under Sharia. How can the Left, and particularly President Obama, claim to care for women considering that he hired Dalia Mogahed to serve on his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships?

In early October 2009, Mogahed was interviewed on a British television program hosted by Ibtihal Bsis, a member of the extremist Hizb ut Tahrir party, which seeks to facilitate the non-violent destruction of Western democracy and the creation of a worldwide Islamic state governed by Sharia Law. Bsis and another guest (also a member of Hizb ut Tahrir) stated that Sharia should be “the source of legislation” for all nations in the world; they also repeatedly condemned the “man-made law” and the “lethal cocktail of liberty and capitalism” that existed in Western societies. Mogahed did not dispute any of their assertions.

But then, if the Left stops hating women by criticizing Sharia, then by extension they would also have to stop hating gays, Israel, America, Christians, Jews, etc. The radical Left has invested far too much in hatred to consider giving an inch of freedom to Muslim women.

VII. Thou Shalt Bear False Witness to Protect Islamists

In February, I outlined the “Top Five Muslim Brotherhood Front Groups Working to Destroy America from Within”. These groups thrive by operating under the radar of public scrutiny the mainstream media is responsible for providing, an ability that is likely considerably enhanced by the Left’s propensity to avoid legitimate research and reasoned debate in deference to day-dreaming about utopian fantasies. At times, however, a bit of extra effort is extended in the form of bearing false witness to promote Islam. Here are a few examples.

The Soros-funded group Media Matters claimed that Glenn Beck endorsed Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf as a “good Muslim”. It wasn’t true.

Sometimes lies reach conspiracy level as in the case of Max Blumenthal’s claims about a ‘Great Islamophobic Crusade’ in America. As a Catholic, I’m particularly offended by Blumenthal’s crusade fantasy in his conspiracy rant.

Besides providing the initial energy for the Islamophobic crusade, conservative elements from within the pro-Israel lobby bankrolled the network’s apparatus, enabling it to influence the national debate.

We hear so much about “scary Jewish bankers” from Ron Paul fans, one wonders if Blumenthal has been hanging out at Liberty Forest. Blumenthal lied.

More recently, the New York Times is busily engaged in cheerleading for Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, describing him as one who “supports the idea of a pluralistic, multiparty, civil democracy”, but who can forget this memorable quote from Qaradawi?

“Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them – even though they exaggerated this issue – he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of the believers.”

I’m not seeing any pluralism there…at…all.

Deception is a doctrine in Islam that leftists in media have embraced.

VIII. Thou Shalt Not Be Troubled by the Muslim Brotherhood

The proverbial jury is no longer out when it comes to the dangers of the Muslim Brotherhood, but the leftist media continues to try to convince all who will listen that we should not be troubled by this terror-supporting organization. Unfortunately, they’re getting a lot of help from people in high places. Today in the Washington Post, Lorenzo Vidino, offered an op-ed to relieve readers’ concerns about the Muslim Brotherhood. Vidino does not mention in his bio that he was recently based at the Investigative Project on Terrorism [IPT] in Washington, D.C. Earlier this month, IPT published an article offering a decidedly different perspective.

Elements of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamist group whose ideology has inspired terrorists such as Osama bin Laden, are in the United States and have supported terrorism here and overseas, FBI Director Robert Mueller told a House committee Thursday.

Mueller joined seven other Obama administration intelligence and law enforcement officials at a hearing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. They spoke of the Brotherhood’s U.S. ties as word spread in Egypt that President Hosni Mubarak was prepared to resign. Mubarak has repeatedly said his administration, in place since 1981, is the one thing keeping an Islamic state led by the Brotherhood from taking over Egypt.

Certainly, there is reason to be troubled.

IX. Thou Shalt Embrace Dhimmitude

One very reasonable explanation for the Left’s willingness to become Islamapologists is that they have embraced “dhimmitude”. It is not a stretch of the imagination to envision that so many have been swept up in a mission to defend the doctrines and agendas of Islamists because they have allowed Islam to conquer them either in embracing the hatred and collectivism of Islam or by simply being too afraid to speak out against a religion that demands the death penalty for critics.

As early as the eighth century, a formal set of rules was created to govern the relationships between the conquering Muslims and the defeated infidels. The framework of these regulations is known as “dhimmitude,” a term connoting the lowly legal and social status of Jews and Christians who are subjected to Islamic rule. Dhimmi was the name applied by the Arab-Muslim conquerors to the indigenous non-Muslim populations that surrendered by a treaty (dhimma) to Muslim domination.

A non-Muslim community that is forced to accept dhimmitude is condemned to live in a system that will protect it from violent jihad on only one condition: if it is completely subservient to a Muslim master. In return for that subservience, the community is granted limited rights, although dhimmis could be capriciously subjected to such depredations as mass slavery, abductions, and deportations.

No one would admit to having become a “dhimmi”. We can only surmise this from the behaviors that have been outlined in the previous ‘commandments’. It appears to me that in order for one to be unable to reject the core tenets of Islam, one must either be a devout Muslim, immoral, inept…or a dhimmi. I am certainly open to hearing other possible explanations.

X. Thou Shalt Attack Those who Warn Others About the Dangers Within Islam

Theo Van Gogh, Father Daniil Sysoyev, Shahbaz Batti — the list of people murdered for criticizing Islam is very long and grows virtually every day. There are also attacks with words in the media.

When German chancellor Angela Merkel declared that the leftist doctrine of “multiculturalism” had “utterly failed”, she was accused by Der Spiegel of not allowing “differences of any kind” and of harboring a view that only “primitive societies” and “dictatorships, which control all aspects of life” would hold. Der Spiegel also said that “only Germans” would think in such a way, indicating that Muslims (and everyone else?) are more advanced than primitive German totalitarian dictators. Through euphemism, this Germany newspaper was saying that Angela Merkel was acting like Adolf Hitler for simply expecting Muslims to be more tolerant of Western society. In fact, the closed, parallel societies of Poland were conducive, not detrimental, to creating an atmosphere of cultural ignorance that led to Polish Catholic participation in the Holocaust.

As bad as it is to be compared to Hitler (albeit through euphemism) in Der Spiegel, merely for calling for your nation to become more of a “melting pot” society, there are worse things. In The Netherlands, MP Geert Wilders is literally standing trial for speech…because it is speech that is critical of Islam. Slate characterized Wilders’ criticism of this totalitarian political/religious system “anti-Muslim rhetoric”. In other words, Slate refuses to differentiate between hating an “idea” and hating the “people” who hold those ideas.

CONCLUSION (This intro-word to Graas’ last segment added by me)

Geert Wilders, Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and French President Nicolas Sarkozy all understand the dangers of allowing closed, intolerant societies such as we see in the Muslim communities of Europe.

The big media conglomerates of the Left have become intolerant societies, as well. While media has become much more open with the rise of cable and the internet, people still move within information bubbles. All people, no matter how free-thinking they may be, have a natural tendency to gravitate to those they most agree with. Much of what is out there is leftist in nature, and is very destructive. The burden of judgment regarding what is ‘right’ and what is ‘wrong’, or what is ‘fair’ and what is ‘unfair’ is largely on the individual when it comes to analyzing the media. With the Left pressing so much intolerant and inaccurate messages, we can only hope that media consumers will have the good judgment to make the right choices. Freedom always comes with responsibility.
