Tea Party Express 2013 response to Obama’s SOTU

America needs less government and Constitutional Original Intent. The government programs that are vital for our citizens should not pay greater taxes but rather a fair tax that collects revenue on a better scale then our punitive Income Tax that requires the nation's wealthy to shoulder the majority of government spending that benefits the majority of Americans that do not pay taxes under the current system.

President Obama tossed not even a bone in his State of the Union Address, but he did toss a lot of Leftist ideology.

Senator Rand Paul gave the Tea Party Movement response under the aegis of the Tea Party Express. I am posting the email the TPX sent as well as a link for you to sign letters to your Congressman and Senators expressing your sentiments about less government.

Senator Rand Paul gave an amazing speech last night and clearly articulated the Tea Party's conservative message. Washington's bi-partisan spending binges and backroom deals have led us to a point of crippling debt and anemic economic growth. It's time for America to right this ship by creating an economically sound pathway forward.

It should be no surprise that the GOP response mirrored so closely to the Tea Party response. Like Senator Paul, Senator Marco Rubio has proven to be a bold Tea Partier that's leading the Republican Party back to its conservative principles. Tonight should be remembered as the night in which America's conservative majority united to reject the dangerous big-government agenda of President Barack Obama with two very compelling speeches.

The President must stop being the President of the tax and spend wing of the Democrat Party. Obama should head to the warning of Senator Paul and Senator Rubio and work with Congress in reducing the size of government and restoring opportunity to Americans.

Senators Rubio and Paul have articulated ideas to get the American economy growing again. We cannot tolerate the weak growth, the weakest post-recession growth in American history. It means few jobs for graduating high school and college students. It means no savings for middle class families to provide for a brighter future for their children. Ending high taxes, unsustainable debt and oppressive over-regulation will be more opportunities for Americans to realize the American dream. We need responsible cuts, but more importantly, we need strong pro-growth policies

If the President instead continues down a polarizing big-government path, the electorate will mimic the 2010 sentiment in 2014 and 2016.

Tea Party Express hosted the first ever Tea Party State of the Union response in 2011 with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, and Herman Cain delivered last year's speech.

"We are right back where we were two years ago. I would put money on 2012 being a bigger year for foreclosures than 2010," said Mark Seifert, executive director of Empowering & Strengthening Ohio's People (ESOP), a counseling group with 10 offices in Ohio.

In 2011, the "robo-signing" scandal, in which foreclosure documents were signed without properly reviewing individual cases, prompted banks to hold back on new foreclosures pending a settlement.

Five major banks eventually struck that settlement with 49 U.S. states in February. Signs are growing the pace of foreclosures is picking up again, something housing experts predict will again weigh on home prices before any sustained recovery can occur.

Mortgage servicing provider Lender Processing Services reported in early March that U.S. foreclosure starts jumped 28 percent in January.

More conclusive national data is not yet available. But watchdog group, 4closurefraud.org which helped uncover the "robo-signing" scandal, says it has turned up evidence of a large rise in new foreclosures between March 1 and 24 by three big banks in Palm Beach County in Florida, one of the states hit hardest by the housing crash.

Zillow expects the resurgence in foreclosures this year, combined with excess inventory of unsold, bank-owned homes will contribute to a 3.7 percent national decline in prices before the market hits bottom in 2013 and stays there until 2016.

There is other evidence that many of the foreclosures that did not happen in 2011 will happen this year.

A January report by the Neighborhood Economic Development Advocacy Project in New York found that in the first half of 2011 the number of 90-day pre-foreclosure notices in New York City outnumbered court foreclosure actions by a ratio of 14 to one, indicating that while proceedings were initiated against many homeowners, they were left incomplete.

"Now the banks have a settlement, foreclosure numbers for 2012 are going to be high," said NEDAP co-director Josh Zinner.

State and Local Government Defined Benefit Plans Are “Inherently Flawed”

On January 10, 2012, Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) released a report on state and local government defined benefit pension plans in which he detailed the risks associated with the nation’s $4.4 trillion public pension debt, calling the defined benefit pensions structure “inherently flawed in the state and local government setting.”  This massive liability is dangerous for taxpayers and could mean future cuts in services, reductions in benefits, higher taxes, or a combination of these less-than-desirable options.

Defined benefits lie at the heart of the issue.  While 40 legislatures enacted 48 separate pension reform laws in 2010 and 2011, most left the basic defined benefit structure in place.  According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, only two states –Alaska and Michigan – and Washington D.C. have required all new hires to participate solely in a defined contribution plan.  Georgia, Indiana, Oregon and Rhode Island (as of July 2012) have introduced mandatory “hybrid” plans for new employees, under which employees are required to participate in both a defined benefit and a defined contribution plan.  In some cases, these pension requirements do not apply to public school teachers as their powerful union lobby has managed to receive special carve-outs. …

Despite the best efforts to increase the level of employee contributions paid toward pensions, raise the retirement age, or modify the annual cost of living adjustment, failure to make a complete switch from the traditional defined benefit plans to more stable defined contribution models guarantees that underfunded pensions will continue to be a growing problem for state and local governments.

State and local governments’ diminishing coffers should not be ignored, nor should they become dependent on federal bailouts to ensure the fiscal soundness of their pension plans. …

Government accounting standards show states’ unfunded pension liabilities to be much lower than estimates that rely on more accurate market-based discount rates.  The undervaluation is due to the fact that government accounting standards require state and local governments to base their estimates on unrealistically high rates of return on their assets.

With a growing $15.3 trillion debt, the federal government and taxpayers cannot and should not be responsible for fiscally irresponsible states.  Nor is it fair to punish taxpayers in those states which have properly managed their budgets. …

State and local governments can no longer defer remedial action on their pension liabilities, quietly hoping for a federal rescue package later.  States and local officials must grasp the urgency of the situation and change course before they are faced with filing bankruptcy, or worse, forcing their financial problems beyond their borders onto the American people. And reading this from Bloomberg, we can assume that the support of Interest Incomes for the pensions could be threatened by this and helping to expose the phone Interest Income payments in these Instruments that’s been paying the pensions systems.

Investors complain that Iksil’s trades  may be distorting prices, affecting bondholders who use the instruments to hedge hundreds of billions of dollars of fixed-income holdings. So we can see why the Federal Reserve will further the policy of QE Bond Buying and the devaluing process of the US dollar .....

  Pimco’s El-Erian: Central Banks Will Likely Ease Further -

Financial markets tumbled around the world this week over concern that central banks won’t ease monetary policy any further.

But while it is questionable what they should do, the central banks will likely take the plunge into easing, says Mohamed El-Erian, CEO of money management titan Pimco.

The central banks are in a difficult spot, he writes in a blog on CNBC. “They are dealing with what Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke correctly called an ‘unusually uncertain outlook.’ They are forced to use blunt tools. How Accurate is this New Gallup Poll that Gives Obama a 50% Approval Rating?
A new Gallup Poll resulted in a 50% approval rating for the dear leader, Obama. I believe that these polls are being released to subliminally have people think positive of Obama so the 'undecided' (clueless sheep) vote for him. I am curious what the ratio of Democrats to Republicans were questioned.

Gallup claims that this poll was done by phone with 1,500 registered voters. What was their party affiliation? What time of the day were these calls made?

First, most of the people that are going to vote against Obama are not home to answer the phone, because they are out looking for jobs unlike the Obama dead beat, welfare base.

Second, how many people that lost their jobs and can't afford a phone were NOT questioned?

Watching the union workers protesting in Wisconsin and other cities across America last week was more than upsetting for me because after thirty-four years of being a very pro-union employee, I couldn't believe what I was hearing!  I always stood proud with my fellow employees and stood every picket line I was assigned to!  I still feel I was blessed to have been able to have a union job.

We never begrudged anyone placing an application for a position in our UNION company!  My fellow workers were proud of what we did and how we helped build America, the greatest nation on the face of the earth!  We also honored and stood by our troops and veterans!  They are our finest and our union was/is made of these heroes!  We were ready to take on anyone with a negative word about them!

After I retired I was honored to be part of the largest grass-roots pro-troop organization in the country.  We rallied for our finest fighting for our FREEDOM today!  Hundreds and thousands of you rallied for our Troops and country with your signs of "United We Stand" and "Don't Tread On Me!"  Our admiration for our troops and our great nation was especially strong when we came face-to-face with the ANTI-AMERICAN, SOCIALIST SCUM from MoveOn.org and CodePink, two groups that hate our American way of life, and treat our Troops with disdain.

I remember our pro-troop rallies in Berkeley when Code Pink and their allies tried to shut down the Marine Corp Officer Recruiting Station and holding their hateful signs calling our Troops and Veterans all types of vile names and accusing them of atrocious acts against babies and poor people overseas!  Some of these groups even sent money and aid to America's enemies around the globe as they apologized for America.  It was disgraceful.

I have to tell you all of this because when I watched the recent pro-union rallies I was sickened to watch workers from many of the largest Unions in America come together at these rallies LED by those shameful vermin from the likes of MoveOn.org, Code Pink and most distressingly Barack Obama's "Organizing for America!"  When their signature bongo drums and sickeningly hateful chants started I was dismayed to watch the hard working American workers standing unaware in unison with them and it was at that point that I knew exactly what we were facing!!

One sign a union worker was carrying in the crowd said, "Working Class!  We don't have time for Tea Parties!"  TEN OR TWENTY YEARS AGO I would have carried the same sign ONLY because I was busy building my family and my home and giving 100%+ to my job!  I didn't have time for politics!  I felt I had done my duty by voting and I would let the politicians take care of everything. As long as I had my paycheck coming in I figured I had done my duty!  Sadly, reality hit me like a ton of bricks.  I realized these hard working people are unaware of HOW THEY'RE BEING USED!  If they knew WHO they were rallying with I think these protests would look very very different!  To know Obama and the government union bosses joined with these vile groups is not surprising but to see the "PRIVATE Union" bosses align with the very groups trying to destroy us is unacceptable!!

   

The unions are not what they used to be, OR LET ME REPHRASE THAT: the Union members are the hard working Americans just trying to do their best and keep what jobs we HAVE LEFT in America from going away, but it's the union management today who are contributing to the decline of this nation!  After having traveled across this country with the Tea Party Express to hundreds upon hundreds of  Tea Party rallies I was gratified to see so many union members fighting for fiscal sanity and accountability.  They stood AGAINST MoveOn.org, CodePink AND Barack Obama's Obamacare!

My message to them is this: DO YOU REALIZE YOU ARE NOW BEING LED LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER BY THESE SAME ENEMIES OF AMERICANISM!!!  STAND UP!  DON'T LET OBAMA AND HIS BUDDIES DECEIVE YOU!  THEY HAVE ONE AGENDA!  Do you like the "Change" promised??  And WHAT type of change was that exactly???  Oh yeah..."elect him to find out!"  Well guess what, we found out, and it was an ugly slide towards socialism with less freedom for the American people, more power for the federal government, and economic malaise that has crippled our nation.

We must stand UNITED for our children and grandchildren - the future generations of our great nation!  Please join us at "The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama" as HE joins with the enemies of our constitutional form of government, undermining the hard working American people who BUILT our mighty nation!!

  
To understand what is wrong with what has taken place in Wisconsin and other states, consider this - no less than Franklin Delano Roosevelt said about public employee unions and whether they should be granted collective bargaining rights:

"All government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management."

Could Greece Fracture the Efficacy of the EU?

Not too long ago the European Union appeared to be a bastion of economic strength with the Euro that soared even over the American Dollar in value. Now Greece goes through population unrest in which you could also a rioting. Over what is the Greek unrest? Is the Greek unrest over big government and too many social programs? Is the Greek unrest over an intrusive large government bureaucracy? Is the Greek unrest over placing security in a plain higher than civil liberties? If the answer was yes to all of the above it might sound like the American Tea Party Movement. The answer though is no.

Greek unrest is over the Greek government realizing it has gotten in over its head in entitlements and social programs. Just for clarity, the anger is not because entitlements and social programs are too large. Nay my friends, the Greek anger is because the Greek government has realized it does not have the financial resources to keep those entitlements and social programs solvent. The Greeks are rioting because the Greek government is scaling back on entitlements and social programs that would otherwise bankrupt the Greek government.

The fracture in the EU caused by the near insolvency of Greece brings into question the socio-political-economic unity of this confederation of independent nations who have sought a unified front in the global scheme of geopolitics.
