John Bennett is a retired Marine
First Sergeant, combat veteran, former sheriff's deputy, and a former State
Representative from Oklahoma. He is currently the Vice President of
Understanding the Threat (UTT). In this brief video, John is appealing for
public support for UTT's President John Guandolo and UTT to help them with the
LAWFARE which has come against UTT from the former sheriff of Hennepin County

It is nutty that Leftist Multiculturalists throw support
behind American/Western Culture-hating Islamofascists such as Rep. Ilhan Omar
representing the 5th District in Minnesota. Now former Sheriff Richard
Stanek physically attacked Understanding The Threat (UTT) President John
Guandolo over an UTT article exposing the then Sheriff’s support for
Islamofascist groups such as Hamas-supporting CAIR and Sharia proponent Imam
Roble. While being choked by Stanek, Guandolo punched back in self-defense. YET
Stanek is suing Guandolo and UTT for
attacking him.

Guandolo started a GoFundMe page to help with the legal fees
for this obvious Lawfare (aka Legal Jihad) stunt to drain money in litigation from Guandolo
and UTT.

Five days when I received the email update from UTT, Guandolo was ecstatically pleased the GoFundMe page raised $9600.00 bucks to combat lawfare.
Since I am no fan of American-hating Muslims and their
Multiculturalist supporters, I’m perpetuating this GoFundMe plea for legal
fee support to stand against the Lawfare tactic. The UTT email including the
explanation and the GoFundMe link is below in the cross post.
BUT in checking the GoFundMe link, I discovered “Campaign
Not Found” message. Which means UTT or GoFundMe removed it. In these days
of caving into the “Islamophobe accusation,” I suspect Go Fund Me removed the
campaign.
So I went to the UTT Homepage and
discovered the organization is still seeking Legal Fee aid. HERE IS THAT UTT

Background: The Stanek Setup
UTT has been engaged in a civil lawsuit for about a
year and a half with Richard Stanek, the former sheriff of Hennepin County
Minnesota (Minneapolis), which is in Ilhan Omar’s district.
Mr. Stanek is frivolously suing John Guandolo and
UTT’s parent company for almost a million dollars, based on a minor incident
that took place two years ago.
In the summer of 2017, UTT’s President John Guandolo,
along with UTT’s Vice President at the time Chris Gaubatz, spoke at the
National Sheriff’s Conference in Reno, Nevada. As John and Chris entered
the room in which they were going to give their class, they were met by
Hennepin County Sheriff Richard Stanek who just finished giving a presentation
in the same room. When John introduced himself to Sheriff Stanek, Mr.
Stanek said, “I know who you are” and asked if they could meet afterwards.
Unbeknownst to the UTT team, Stanek had been working
to get the National Sheriff’s Association Board to drop the UTT presentation
because, according to Stanek, of an article written by John in October 2016
detailing the dangerous nature of the Islamic threat in Minneapolis/St. Paul in
which Mr. Stanek was mentioned.

After UTT’s successful presentation at the National
Sheriff’s Association, three UTT team members did meet with Sheriff Stanek.
When the UTT team sat down, John asked Mr. Stanek if
they could begin in prayer, and Mr. Stanek refused. The sheriff turned
his computer around to show John the above-referenced article.
The Sheriff’s Embarrassing History
The sheriff was irate the article (truthfully) mentioned him
in what he believed is a negative light, and asked John to pull the article
down from the UTT website. John informed Mr. Stanek the article is
factual and UTT would consider pulling it down if Mr. Stanek could show UTT
where there are factual inconsistencies in the article about his relationship
with jihadi organizations and jihadi leaders.

thanking Imam Roble - a sharia adherent muslim Imam - for helping create
successful outreach programs to the muslim community with the sheriff’s office

from 13:39-16:22. Sheriff Stanek also acknowledged changing the policy at
the jail to allow female muslims wear hijabs. UTT learned the sheriff
worked with Hamas doing business as the Council on American Islamic Relations
(CAIR) on this matter, and UTT has a copy of the letter from CAIR thanking the
Sheriff.]

During his meeting with the UTT team in Reno at the National
Sheriff’s Conference, Sheriff Stanek realized John Guandolo was not going to
delete the article in question without a factual basis for doing so. The
sheriff began mocking John’s Marine Corps experience, FBI career, and him
personally. When it became clear it was going nowhere, the Sheriff - who
is about a foot taller and 50 pounds heavier than John - stood up.
As the rest of the folks at the table stood up, including two
other UTT team members and the Major with the sheriff, the sheriff stepped into
John, chest bumped him, grabbed his tie and began choking him.
In defense of himself and to stop the sheriff from
continuing to choke him, John swung at the sheriff and hit him once in
his face. Pretty quickly a number of deputies in the area got involved
trying to separate the two men.
We believe the entire encounter was a setup designed
to entrap UTT for negative publicity and/or legal jeopardy.
In the end, when asked, John felt the entire incident was a
dust up between two men and had no intention of pressing charges. The
sheriff, however, did press charges against John, falsely claiming John
attacked him.
The criminal charge, utterly lacking in merit, was quickly
dropped by Nevada authorities. End of story? No, the lawfare now
continues in civil court.
Damages? What Damages, Sheriff?
Richard Stanek, who is no longer the sheriff in Hennepin County, sued John and UTT’s parent company for medical and psychological damages to the tune of nearly a million dollars.

While it has been demonstrated to Stanek and his legal team
that neither John nor UTT have any assets, Stanek is still coming after John
and UTT. If you are asking yourself “Why?” - the propagandistic slant of
the original petition against John and UTT readily answers the question:
“3.2 Guandolo is the Founder and
President of UTT, which he markets as a counterterrorism consulting firm to
profit from instilling anti-Muslim bigotry in law enforcement agents.
3.3 UTT is an anti-Muslim hate
group.
3.5 Guandolo and UTT regularly
make false, outlandish, and controversial accusations against law enforcement
officers (and others) to advance their cause of spreading anti-Muslim hate.”
Current Status of Court Case
Originally, UTT was represented by a law firm in Dallas who
was of the opinion that this simple assault suit should never have gotten as
far as it has but, they believe, this is about trying to destroy UTT and has
nothing to do with the facts of the matter.
They filed a counter-suit on behalf of John and UTT,
providing legal leverage toward a settlement.
In May 2019, however, UTT’s legal counsel withdrew because
UTT could no longer pay the legal bills.
UTT has been without counsel since that time, and attempts
to obtain pro bono counsel have been unsuccessful.
At this point, the current trial date is set for two weeks
from now, September 9, and we are without counsel.
UTT needs to raise $20,000 immediately to retain him and
his firm, and to make it through the trial.

Enemies of liberty want to silence Understanding the Threat
(UTT). Standing together, we can make sure they do not succeed!
Not only is UTT currently a defendant in a civil lawsuit
brought against it by the former sheriff of Hennepin County Minnesota
(Minneapolis) Richard Stanek – Ilhan Omar’s district – but UTT fundraising
efforts via the online fundraising company GoFundMe were shut down today by
GoFundMe.

GoFundMe contacted UTT President John Guandolo to inform him
they shut down his GoFundMe account due to “due to a violation of (GoFundMe’s)
Terms & Conditions.”
No specifics were provided by GoFundMe about which terms
and/or conditions were violated. Several emails sent by John were ignored.
Donors will be reimbursed by GoFundMe for donations already
made before GoFundMe shut John Guandolo/UTT’s account down.
UTT suspects it was because of efforts by Hamas doing
business as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). See UTT’s “CAIR

On Tuesday August 27th, Hamas/CAIR published a press release
announcing it was “monitoring” the case involving Guandolo. See the Hamas/CAIR

[It is worth noting that in the largest terrorism
financing trial every successfully prosecuted in American history – US v Holy
Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), Northern District of Texas
(Dallas) 2008 – the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) was identified
as a member of the US Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, which is Hamas.
When CAIR attempted to have its organization removed from
the unindicted co-conspirator list, the Department of Justice directly stated
to the court that CAIR was created to support Hamas, a designated terrorist
organization.
The federal judge overseeing the case stated in his
ruling: “The government has produced ample evidence to establish the
associations of CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT…with Hamas.”]
Lawfare, a jihadi specialty, the use of litigation to
suppress truth, has been deployed against UTT to bleed us financially and take
us off mission. Matters have now come to a head, and we urgently need
funding to fight off this attack—and win our countersuit to teach them a lesson.

funds to defend itself against the efforts of Hamas/CAIR and those working with
them like the plaintiff in this case, Richard Stanek.

Understanding the Threat provides threat-focused strategic and operational

John Guandolo is the Founder of

Mr. Guandolo is a 1989 graduate
of the U.S. Naval Academy who took a commission as an Officer in the United
States Marine Corps. He served with 2d Battalion 2d Marines as an Infantry
Platoon Commander in combat Operations Desert Shield/Storm. From 1991-1996, he
served in 2d Force Reconnaissance Company as a Platoon Commander, Assistant
Operations Officer, and the unit’s Airborne and Diving Officer. During this
time, he also deployed to the Adriatic/Bosnia. He served for one year as the
Unit Leader for the CINC’s In-Extremis Force, directly reporting to a Combatant
Commander in a classified mission profile. Mr. Guandolo was a combat diver,
military free-fall parachutist, and a graduate of the U.S. Army Ranger School.
In 1996, Mr. Guandolo resigned
his commission in the Marine Corps and joined the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI), serving at the Washington Field Office. From 1996-2000, he
primarily conducted narcotics investigations domestically and overseas. In
2001, he served for one year as the FBI Liaison to the U.S. Capitol Police
investigating threats on high-level government officials. Shortly after 9/11,
Mr. Guandolo began an assignment to the Counterterrorism Division of the FBI’s
Washington Field Office developing an expertise in the Muslim Brotherhood,
Islamic Doctrine, the global Islamic Movement, and terrorist organizations
including Hamas, Al Qaeda, and others.
