I have to ask, “Is it racist bigotry to condemn a person who
belongs to a racist bigoted organization?”
The racist organization I have in mind La Raza. The central
and intended translation of “La Raza” is “The Race”. I found an exposé on the
La Raza movement from Human Events
published in 2006 which is long before Donald Trump criticize California La
Raza member Judge Gonzalo Curiel as having a conflict of interest in
adjudicating a civil suit involving Trump University. One of Trump’s campaign
issues that shot him to popularity among many American voters was to secure the
southern border between the USA and Mexico to prevent the influx of illegal
aliens from Mexico. Here is an excerpt from that Human Events article:
It is past time for all Americans
to know what is at the root of this outrageous behavior, and the extent to
which the nation is at risk because of “La Raza” — The Race.
There are many immigrant groups
joined in the overall “La Raza” movement. The most prominent and mainstream
organization is the National Council de La Raza — the Council of “The Race”.
To most of the mainstream media,
most members of Congress, and even many of their own members, the National
Council of La Raza is no more than a Hispanic Rotary Club.
But the National Council of La Raza
succeeded in raking in over $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone, of
which $7.9 million was in U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter
Schools, and undisclosed amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts supporting
La Raza political positions.
The Council of La Raza succeeded in
having itself added to congressional hearings by Republican House and Senate
leaders. And an anonymous senator even gave the Council of La Raza an extra $4
million in earmarked taxpayer money, supposedly for “housing reform,” while La
Raza continues to lobby the Senate for virtual open borders and amnesty for
illegal aliens.
…
Radical ‘Reconquista’ Agenda
Behind the respectable front of the
National Council of La Raza lies the real agenda of the La Raza movement, the
agenda that led to those thousands of illegal immigrants in the streets of
American cities, waving Mexican flags, brazenly defying our laws, and demanding
concessions.
Key among the secondary
organizations is the radical racist group Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de
Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American
groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and
continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.
One of America’s greatest strengths
has always been taking in immigrants from cultures around the world, and
assimilating them into our country as Americans. By being citizens of the U.S.
we are Americans first, and only, in our national loyalties.
This is totally opposed by MEChA
for the hordes of illegal immigrants pouring across our borders, to whom they
say:
“Chicano is our identity; it
defines who we are as people. It rejects the notion that we…should assimilate
into the Anglo-American melting pot…Aztlan was the legendary homeland of the
Aztecas … It became synonymous with the vast territories of the Southwest,
brutally stolen from a Mexican people marginalized and betrayed by the hostile
custodians of the Manifest Destiny.” (Statement on University of Oregon MEChA
Website, Jan. 3, 2006)
MEChA isn’t at all shy about their
goals, or their views of other races. Their founding principles are contained
in these words in “El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan” (The Spiritual Plan for
Aztlan):
“In the spirit of a new people that
is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal
gringo invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers
of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the
land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun,
declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our
inevitable destiny. … Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the
fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. … We are a
bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North
America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we
are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan. For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza
nada.”
That closing two-sentence motto is
chilling to everyone who values equal rights for all. It says: “For The Race
everything. Outside The Race, nothing.”
…
MEChA and the La Raza movement
teach that Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and
parts of Washington State make up an area known as “Aztlan” — a fictional
ancestral homeland of the Aztecs before Europeans arrived in North America. As
such, it belongs to the followers of MEChA. These are all areas America should
surrender to “La Raza” once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, enter to claim
a majority, as in Los Angeles. The current borders of the United States will
simply be extinguished.
This plan is what is referred to as
the “Reconquista” or reconquest, of the Western U.S.
But it won’t end with territorial
occupation and secession. The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the
ethnic cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of
“Aztlan.”
…
The National Council of La Raza and
its allies in public office make no repudiation of the radical MEChA and its
positions. In fact, as recently as 2003, La Raza was actively funding MEChA,
according to federal tax records.
Imagine Robert Byrd’s refusing to
disavow the views of the KKK, or if Strom Thurmond had failed to admit
segregation was wrong. Imagine Heritage or Brookings Foundation making grants
to the American Nazi Party.
Is the National Council of La Raza
itself a racist organization? Regardless … READ
ENTIRETY (Exclusive: The Truth About ‘La Raza’; By Charlie Norwood;

Leftists and Never-Trumpers have been doing some propaganda
spin on Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s membership in a San Diego lawyers association
that incorporates the name “La Raza”. The spin goes something like the San
Diego lawyers have formed something translated into English as “The Race” is
not affiliated with the national organization of La Raza. On a paper trail the La Raza Lawyers of San Diego has
nothing to do with National Council of La
Raza. You do realize that is somewhat like saying unaffiliated white
supremacist organization are not associated with each other even though all
white supremacist espouses the same racist ideologies.
A part of the Leftist spin I have read comes from Media Matters, the George Soros financed hunting
dog set up to disinform on Fox News.
Media Matters tells us that “La Raza” was not to be interpreted as The Race.
See if you see the duplicity in this idiotic stand in this article:
Conservative media are echoing
presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s ethnicity-based attacks on
federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel using an incorrect interpretation of the Spanish
term "la raza." These right-wing media figures are criticizing
Curiel’s affiliation with the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association -- San
Diego’s Latino/Latina bar association -- by attempting to smear the group as a radical
organization.
During the June 6 edition of his
radio show The Sean Hannity Show, Sean Hannity asked, “Why is a judge
connected to a lawyers group called ‘the race’?” using a literal but
incorrect translation of "la raza." In a piece attempting to justify
Trump’s explicitly racist remarks, Breitbart News made the
same mistake:
[Blog Editor: And so Media
Matters quotes the Breitbart article then following begins the word
manipulation to paint Trump as a racist.]
The San Diego La Raza Lawyers
Association explicitly notes on its website that translating
la raza “as ‘the race’ is not only inaccurate, it is factually incorrect”
(emphasis added):
Many people incorrectly translate
the name, “La Raza,” as “the race.” While it is true that one meaning
of “raza” in Spanish is indeed “race,” in Spanish, as in English and any other
language, words can and do have multiple meanings. As noted in several online
dictionaries, “La Raza” means “the people” or “the community.”
Translating our name as “the race”
is not only inaccurate, it is factually incorrect. “Hispanic” is an ethnicity,
not a race. As anyone who has ever met a Dominican American, Mexican American,
or Spanish American can attest, Hispanics can be and are members of any and all
races.
[...]
Mistranslating “La Raza” to mean
“the race” implies that it is a term meant to exclude others. In fact, the full
term coined by [Mexican scholar José] Vasconcelos, “La Raza Cósmica,” meaning
the “cosmic people,” was developed to reflect not purity but the mixture
inherent in the Hispanic people. This is an inclusive concept, meaning that
Hispanics share with all other peoples of the world a common heritage and
destiny.
Ilan Stavans, professor of Latin
American and Latino culture at Amherst College, confirmed in an email to Media
Matters that these interpretations are “indeed a case of loss in
translation.” According to Stavans, connecting the name to activist agendas
would also be an outdated interpretation, since today the name is just “a relic
of more activist times”:
“La Raza” is a charged name dating
back to José Vasconcelos’ seminal book La raza cósmica (The Cosmic Race, 1925).
Often rendered as “the bronze race,” it was indeed a racialized term used to
distinguish the civil-rights struggle of Mexican-Americans from the fifties to
the seventies. It actually started in Mexico, in working-class neighborhoods
seeking to distinguish themselves from the ruling class, and it was attached to
comedians like Cantinflas and Tin Tan. Today “La Raza,” as an appellation, is a
relic of more activist times.
Conservative media have a long history
of attempting to smear Latino civil
rights organizations with "la raza" in their
name, based on this culturally incompetent translation. (No,
Conservative Media, That’s Not What “La Raza” Means In Spanish; By CRISTINA LOPEZ;
Media Matters; 6/7/16 2:51 PM EDT)
Hmm… La Raza besides
The Race can be translated: the people, the community, the cosmic race or the
bronze race. Does this sound as disingenuous to you as it does to me? Since La
Raza has various translations you need to ask yourself, “Who in the world is
the race, the people, the community, the cosmic race or the bronze race
referring to?”
I’ll tell you who it
is referring to. It is referring to Hispanics that believe:
Chicano is our identity; it defines who we are as people. It rejects the
notion that we…should assimilate into the Anglo-American melting pot…Aztlan was
the legendary homeland of the Aztecas … It became synonymous with the vast
territories of the Southwest, brutally stolen from a Mexican people
marginalized and betrayed by the hostile custodians of the Manifest Destiny.
MEChA and the La Raza movement teach that Colorado, California, Arizona,
Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State make up an area
known as “Aztlan” — a fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs before
Europeans arrived in North America. As such, it belongs to the followers of
MEChA. These are all areas America should surrender to “La Raza” once enough
immigrants, legal or illegal, enter to claim a majority, as in Los Angeles. The
current borders of the United States will simply be extinguished.
This plan is what is referred to
as the “Reconquista” or reconquest, of the Western U.S. (Bold text mine - Quoted from Human
Events exposé above)
The race, people,
community, cosmic race and bronze race ALL refer to Hispanics that have no
loyalty to the Constitution of the U.S. or to assimilating the many into one (E Pluribus
Unum).
Now let’s look at the
San Diego La Raza (aka the race, the people, the community, the
cosmic race and the bronze race) Lawyers
Association to which Judge Gonzalo Curiel is a prominent member.
WND reported the
San Diego firm paid $675,000 to the Clintons for speeches, and the
firm’s founder is a wealthy San Diego lawyer who served a two-year sentence in
federal prison for his role in a kickback scheme to mobilize plaintiffs for
class-action lawsuits.
…
While critics of Trump have argued
that the San Diego La Raza Lawyers’ association is not affiliated with the
National Council of La Raza, consider the following:
o
The San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association is a
member of the La Raza Lawyers of California, affiliated with the Chicano/Latino
Bar Association of California.
o
On the website of the La Raza Lawyers
Association of California, at the bottom of the “Links & Affiliates Page,” the
National Council of La Raza is listed.
o
The website of the San Diego La Raza
Lawyers Association is joint-listed as San Diego’s
Latino/Latina Bar Association.
o
On the “endorsements” page, the
combined website lists the National Council of La Raza as part of the
“community,” along with the Hispanic National Bar Association,, a group
that emerged with a changed name from the originally formed La Raza National
Lawyers Association and the La Raza National Bar Association tracing its origin
back to 1971.
Further, while the San Diego La
Raza Lawyers Association and the National Council of La Raza are legally
separate incorporated entities, the two groups appear to have an affiliation
that traces back to the emergence of MEChA, the Moviemento
Estudiantil Chicanos de Atzlán.
…
As David Horowitz points out on his website
Discover the Networks that La Raza, Spanish for “the race,”
also has roots in the early 1960s with a “united front” organization, the
National Organization for Mexican American Services, NOMAS. The group initially
was funded by the Ford Foundation, and subsequently by George Soros’ Open
Society Institute and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
…
At the 2014 San Diego La Raza
Lawyers Association event at which Curiel served as a panel member, one of the
recipients of a $1,500 scholarship, Ricardo Elorza, boast about being an
illegal immigrant.
“Mr. Elorza wishes to someday tell
any student struggling with higher education, ‘Look, a boy from Oaxaca, who did
not know English, and is undocumented has now graduated from law school and is
an attorney,” the San Diego La Raza Lawyers’ Association brochure for the 2014
Annual Scholarship Fund Dinner & Gala said.
…
In 2007, Hillary Clinton named Raul
Yzaguirre, the former president of the National Council of La Raza, to co-chair
her presidential campaign and to lead its outreach to Hispanic
voters.

EXPOSED: Truth About Anti-Trump Judge Finally Comes Out…
Look Who He REALLY Is

The judge in the Trump University case, who has been
frequently criticized by Donald Trump’s lawyers for perceived political bias,
has been revealed to have been a member of a legal group affiliated with the
largest radical Hispanic organization in the United States.
According to a report in The Daily Caller,
Judge Gonzalo Curiel revealed that he was a member of La Raza Lawyers of San
Diego during a questionnaire before his appointment as a federal judge in 2011.
On the group’s home page, its “community” links
include the radical group La Raza. La Raza, which translates literally as
“the race,” has been critical of Trump’s campaign, even going as far as calling
“Saturday Night Live” a “platform for hate” when “SNL” allowed Trump to
appear on the show last year.
Curiel, it
should be noted noted, has attended at least two meetings of La Raza
Lawyers of San Diego and was involved in giving “a law school scholarship
to an illegal alien” through the La Raza Lawyers of San Diego Scholarship Fund.
He is also a supporter of Hillary Clinton.
“The judge was appointed by Barack Obama, federal judge.
Frankly, he should recuse himself because he’s given us ruling after ruling
after ruling, negative, negative, negative,” Trump said at
a rally in San Diego in late May.
“What happens is the judge, who happens to be, we believe,
Mexican, which is great. I think that’s fine,” he added.
In an appearance on “The
Alex Jones Radio Show” on Saturday, Trump surrogate Roger Stone said
it was time for the judge to recuse himself from the case.
“I think first of all it’s important to establish that the
judge is not only a Mexican radical, he’s a Hillary Clinton contributor,” Stone
said.
“Trump University was a real estate course and it was a very
successful one for many people. Now there were a very small percentage of
students who were unhappy with the success of the course because they didn’t go
out and make a million dollars immediately,” Stone added.
“There’s an overwhelming satisfaction rate. The number of
dollars involved here are relatively small. This scandal pales in comparison to
Laureate University.”
Stone is referring to Laureate Education, America’s largest
for-profit education provider. Bill Clinton was formerly an honorary
chancellor, a cool $16 million dollar gig. However, when it was revealed
that Hillary Clinton’s State Department had directed $55 million to a group run
by Laureate Chairman Douglas Becker, Bill stepped down from the
organization.
“Our organization has not been involved in organizing any of
the anti-Trump rallies, much less encouraged our members or anyone to
participate in any illegal activity,” La Raza Lawyers of San Diego said in
a Wednesday statement. “We help empower Latino attorneys, judges and law
students, and provide services to the greater local Latino community.”
Regardless, the fact that a Hillary Clinton contributor was
a member of a legal group that gave a scholarship to an illegal alien could be
reasonably trusted to sit on a case which involves a man running against
Clinton and who has been an outspoken critic of illegal immigration. It turns
out Donald Trump was right all along — this judge really is against
him personally.
