The Trump–Russia collusion
narrative is officially dead, now that special counsel Robert Mueller has
concluded there is no evidence of collusion.
With the cloud of the Mueller probe lifted, President Donald
Trump can now go on the offensive with an attorney general who appears ready to
drop the hammer on corruption in Washington. Moreover, Attorney General William
Barr doesn’t appear to be intimidated by Democratic lawmakers who have already
threatened him with impeachment and even incarceration.
Former President Barack Obama’s allies have
lately claimed his term in office was “scandal-free,” a claim his critics find
“laughable.”
Abuses of power under the Obama administration ranged from drone-strike
assassinations of U.S. citizens to the IRS’s targeting of conservatives. In
fact, the Obama administration was a magnet for scandals. One of the
largest—and perhaps least understood—involves the Russian takeover of Uranium One, a Canadian mining
company with large uranium holdings in the United States.
The mainstream press has repeatedly declared the Russian purchase
of Uranium One a “debunked conspiracy theory.” But it’s no theory, nor has it
been debunked. The Uranium One deal was complicated and had many moving parts,
which also explains why misinformation about it has spread widely.
It’s true that the Clinton Foundation received undisclosed
millions from Uranium One stakeholders—such as the $2.35 million from board
Chairman Ian Telfer. The Obama administration did allow the Russians to acquire
domestic nuclear assets critical to U.S. national security. But minor
inaccuracies in the soundbites have allowed self-appointed fact-checkers such
as PolitiFact and Snopes to
selectively “debunk” the larger story without critically examining the full set
of facts.
In the coming months, readers may find the Uranium One
scandal coming back into focus. For that purpose, it’s time to set the record
straight.
Here are seven reasons why the Uranium One scandal isn’t
going away:
1. Uranium One is the largest foreign-influence scandal
in US history.
If you ask any American what the largest political scandal
in our history was, you will likely find that former President Richard Nixon’s
Watergate affair tops the list. Nixon’s spying on political opponents left such
a bruise on America’s collective psyche that adding “-gate” to later political
scandals is an homage. For Nixon, the coverup was worse than the crime.
Scandals that result in the impeachment of a sitting
president are hard to top, which is why the Clinton–Lewinsky fiasco also ranks
high among U.S. political scandals. Those shenanigans—and the more recent
targeting by Obama of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign—demonstrate clear
abuses of power, but have little to do with foreign influence.
The Uranium One scandal, however, involves alleged bribery,
kickbacks, extortion, and money laundering at the highest levels of the U.S.
nuclear industry. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) informant-turned-whistleblower William Douglas
Campbell infiltrated Russian President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle and claims
to have video evidence of “suitcases full of bribery cash.”
It’s now known that former President Bill Clinton was paid
$500,000 by a Kremlin-backed bank to deliver a speech in Moscow just months
before the Uranium One sale was approved by the Obama administration. Clinton
sought approval from his wife’s State Department to meet with a Russian board
member of Rosatom, the state-owned nuclear agency. Clinton ended up meeting
directly with Putin instead, who thanked the former president for the visit.
Soon after, Bill Clinton was paid a half million dollars by Russian interests,
and Hillary Clinton’s
State Department allowed the Russian takeover of U.S. nuclear assets.
When Peter Schweizer first broke the Uranium One scandal in
April 2015, Hillary Clinton’s apologists immediately claimed that her State
Department was just one of several Obama administration agencies that approved
the sale—but is that really any better? Because if none of the Obama agencies
who approved that deal found any issues with it, perhaps other players were
just as conflicted as Bill and Hillary Clinton.
The Uranium One scandal contains elements of corruption and
abuses of power. Neither Watergate nor the Lewinsky affair involved payments to
top White House officials by foreign adversaries in exchange for favorable
policies. However, Uranium One did—and the payments were massive.
The $145 million figure refers to the collective
“commitments and donations” made to the Clinton Foundation by “investors who
profited from the deal,” as documented extensively in Schweizer’s book “Clinton
Cash” and confirmed by The New York Times. Any uncertainty in the dates or
amounts is due exclusively to the Clinton Foundation, which reports its
donations once per year and in wide ranges—or as Schweizer calls it, “the
Clinton blur.” The bulk of the $145 million figure came from longtime Clinton
friend Frank Giustra. Another major Clinton donor included in that figure is
uranium investor Frank Holmes, who was grilled on his timely donations by CNBC.
2. Uranium One was never just a Clinton scandal; it’s
also an Obama scandal.
In addition to Obama’s State Department, his Department of
Justice (DOJ) had a lead role on the
Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) that approved the
sale. Thus, top DOJ and FBI officials share blame for not blocking the
transaction in 2010. That could explain why Obama’s top DOJ and FBI personnel stonewalled their
own field office investigations involving Hillary Clinton’s Uranium One
conflicts. Those investigations effectively exonerated her just before the 2016
election.
The DOJ’s role in the 2010 CFIUS review is troubling. No one
from the DOJ involved with that committee raised any objections to the deal,
despite separate ongoing FBI investigations into Russian espionage and
racketeering schemes—schemes that specifically targeted the U.S. nuclear
industry. Despite hard evidence of these schemes, the FBI, the DOJ, and other
Obama agencies nevertheless raised no objections to the Russian takeover of
U.S. nuclear assets.
The fact that Clinton’s State Department wasn’t the only
Obama agency in the CFIUS review with conflicting motives must be fully
investigated. The Democrats are right, Clinton couldn’t have approved the deal
singlehandedly. They seem to think that this exonerates Clinton, when, in fact,
it really damns the broader Obama administration.

3. Uranium One likely played a major role in the origins
of the Trump–Russia collusion hoax.
Last month, Barr pledged to investigate the origins of the
Trump–Russia probe, also known as “Spygate.” As this latest saga unfolds, note
that many of the same players in the Obama targeting of the Trump campaign also
played lead investigative roles in each of the Russian nuclear schemes.
James Comey,
Robert Mueller, Andrew McCabe,
and Andrew Weissmann all appear to have been involved in both the investigation
of long-running Russian nuclear conspiracies and in the attempt to unseat a
duly elected president who threatened to expose them.
At the time of the sale, Obama’s FBI—headed by Mueller—had
intimate knowledge of ongoing Russian espionage and bribery schemes, but the
deal went through anyway. McCabe headed the FBI investigation, which began in
2009, into the bribery, kickbacks, and money laundering linked to Uranium One.
Weissmann and Rosenstein headed the DOJ prosecution of the Russian principals
and announced the charges, years later in 2014.
One felon received 48 months for crimes that could have
carried up to a 20-year sentence. Those convictions didn’t occur until after
Obama’s top officials approved the sale. The DOJ’s failure to publicly object
to the Uranium One purchase, despite knowing about ongoing bribery and
espionage schemes, raises a major red flag.
The overlap of the previous Russian influence investigations
with the 2016 Trump–Russia investigation deserves a thorough review by Barr.
4. ‘What did Obama know, and when did he know it?’
In autumn 2015, an FBI agent sent notices to
the Obama CFIUS agencies that required them to preserve their Uranium One
records. Those records remain secret but may shed light on the largest
questions of all: What did Obama know about the Russians’ nuclear schemes, when
did he know it, and why did his administration allow them to proceed?
The Director of National Intelligence (DNI) is legally
required to submit a threat analysis of any sale under review to CFIUS. Sen.
John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) has demanded the
threat analysis performed by Obama’s then-DNI James Clapper. Notably, Clapper
has a history of
lying under oath to Congress and is currently under fire for intelligence leaks
that were damaging to the Trump campaign.
Once it’s made public, Clapper’s threat analysis of the
Uranium One deal will be very telling—either the analysis was thorough, or it
was not. That’s bad news for the Obama administration in either case.
The Hill’s John Solomon framed the issue another way in
October 2018:
“Since the emergence of [Uranium
One whistleblower Campbell’s] undercover work, there has been one unanswered
question of national importance.
“Did the FBI notify then-President
Obama, Hillary Clinton, and other leaders on the CFIUS board about Rosatom’s
dark deeds before the Uranium One sale was approved, or did the bureau drop the
ball and fail to alert policymakers?”
Neither outcome is particularly comforting.
5. Whistleblowers are ready to talk. An ‘avalanche’ is
coming.
There are now at least three credible Uranium One
whistleblowers who have provided information to authorities since the story
first broke.
As previously mentioned, William D. Campbell was an FBI
operative who had infiltrated Putin’s inner circle. Campbell worked directly
with Rosatom chief Sergei Kiriyenko, who has since been promoted to Putin’s
first deputy chief of staff. Campbell documented evidence of the Russians’
nuclear ambitions and their strategy to infiltrate the U.S. nuclear supply
chain through the Uranium One purchase. According to Campbell, Moscow paid millions in
an influence operation targeting Obama administration decision-makers.
Last November, 16 FBI agents raided the
home of former FBI contractor Dennis Nathan Cain, a
federally protected whistleblowerwho claims that he can
provide documented evidence that the FBI and DOJ failed to investigate possible
criminal activity related to the Clinton Foundation and the Russian takeover of
Uranium One. Cain recently tweeted his appreciation
for Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.): “Thank you @RepDougCollins for releasing this testimony. It
proves the DoJ under BHO was running a two-tier system of justice that allowed
politically connected get away [sic] with serious crimes. What other crimes
were ignored?”
Former top Uranium One executive Scott Melbye attended the
conservative CPAC conference this year. Melbye hammered the Uranium One
scandal, calling Clinton’s role “bizarre,” according to
The Daily Beast.
“People who say that’s exaggerated or there’s nothing
there—there’s definitely something there,” Melbye said. “As an American, I’m
outraged at that whole episode.”
Campbell, Cain, Melbye, and others appear to have more than
enough inside information relating to Uranium One to demonstrate widespread
corruption at the highest levels of the Obama administration. In addition, more
whistleblowers are expected to come forward with more bombshell reports.
6. Top GOP lawmakers are not going to let Uranium One be
swept under the rug.
Former Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has
been tracking the Uranium One case since day one, and has sent numerous letters to
Obama agencies to clarify their roles.
In a statement last
month, Grassley said: “I’ve been pushing for years for more answers about this
[the Uranium One] transaction that allowed the Russian government to acquire
U.S. uranium assets. I’ve received classified and unclassified briefings about
it from multiple agencies. And I’ve identified some FBI intelligence reports
that may shed more light on the transaction. … If the Democrats want to be
consistent, they’ll have to treat the Clinton, Uranium One, and Russia-related
investigations the same [as the Mueller report]. Anything less than that reeks
of political gamesmanship and sets a clear double standard.”
Barrasso expressed early concerns. In a 2010 letter to
Obama, the senator warned: “This transaction would give the Russian government
control over a sizable portion of America’s uranium production capacity.
Equally alarming, this sale gives ARMZ [Uranium Holding Co.] a significant
stake in uranium mines in Kazakhstan.”
More recently, Barrasso has pushed to
expand the investigations of the sale and has demanded answers regarding
Uranium One’s exports of nuclear materials outside the United States—an
unacceptable development, as first reported by John Solomon.
Reps. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), Jim
Jordan (R-Ohio), Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), and several of their colleagues—notably
Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) and Ron DeSantis (now Florida governor)—have repeatedly
demanded answers about the Obama administration’s approval of the Russian
takeover of Uranium One. GOP lawmakers introduced a
resolution last year excoriating the Obama FBI and DOJ for their roles in the
Spygate scandal, which they linked to the Uranium One scandal.
It’s safe to say that these lawmakers are invested in the
full exposure of Uranium One events and bringing swift justice to the Obama
officials who were responsible.
7. President Trump and Attorney General Barr appear to be
ready to drop the hammer.
Barr has found the Uranium One matter significant and worthy
of a full investigation. In a 2017 interview with
The New York Times, Barr said that the DOJ was “abdicating its responsibility”
if it wasn’t investigating the Clinton Foundation vis-Ã -vis the Uranium One
deal. In Barr’s confirmation hearing this year, Democrats grilled him on his
support for the Uranium One “conspiracy theory.”
While Barr seemed to distance himself during the hearing, New York Times
reporter Peter Baker subsequently leaked an
email in which Barr said he “believed that the predicate for investigating the
uranium deal, as well as the foundation, is far stronger than any basis for
investigating so-called, ‘collusion.'”
It’s clear that Barr doesn’t believe that the Uranium One deal
has been fully investigated.
To date, Trump has been fully cleared of all allegations of
collusion with Russia. Multiple separate investigations led by special counsel
Mueller, the House Intelligence
Committee, and the Senate Intelligence
Committee have all concluded that there was no collusion. And
yet, Democrats in Congress now want Mueller
to testify and want to
hold Barr in contempt if he doesn’t surrender himself to their endless
interrogations.
If the Democrats want to go to war with Barr, he appears to
have more than enough evidence to expose corruption that would crush the Obama
administration and its defenders—starting with Spygate and ending with Uranium
One.
At its core, the Uranium One deal is quite simple: Putin
wanted long-term access to the U.S. nuclear supply chain. Decision-makers in
Washington were under no obligation to give Putin what he wanted. Politics
aside, does anyone really think that Putin deserves any access to an industry
critical to the American energy sector and national security? Of course not.
Yet, in 2010, the Obama administration acquiesced and Putin
gained a significant stake in an industry critical to U.S. energy and national
security. Period.

I watched last night’s Ingraham Angle
and saw the Ingraham/Nunes interview about the House expanding Congressional
investigations into Obama Administration State Department officials’ possible
knowledge that the so-called Steele Dossier was a fake put together by the
Crooked Hillary campaign to disparage and sink the Trump campaign.
Democrats “have all this blood on their hands” because they
“completely destroyed the FBI and DOJ” by digging up dirt on President Donald
Trump in 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s favor, House
Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said
Monday on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.”
“They’re the ones that have all this blood on their hands.
They’re the ones who completely destroyed the FBI and DOJ,” Nunes insisted.
“How did they do that? They did that by digging up dirt — the Clinton campaign
dug up dirt, put it into a dossier, fed it into the FBI. The FBI used our
counterintelligence capabilities against a political campaign. That’s what
happened here.”
Nunes was responding to accusations Rep. Adam Schiff
(D-Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, leveled
against him and other GOP House committee members during an interview on CNN’s
“Wolf” last week.
Schiff called Nunes, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Rep. Mark
Meadows (R-N.C.) and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) “the four horsemen of this
apocalypse” who “have been leading the charge basically to require the Justice
Department to give them materials that can be leaked or fed or misrepresented.”
Meadows is chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, which Jordan founded, while
Gowdy is chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
“And in the meantime, they do enormous damage to these
institutions. Ultimately they’ll be held accountable,” Schiff claimed.
Nunes dismissed Schiff, saying he and the other GOP
lawmakers are “not going to be threatened by the Democrats” and will proceed
with their investigative plans.
“The Democrats in the House and the Senate — they’ve
continued to want to obfuscate, they’ve continued to want to cover up,” Nunes
said. “If we listened to the Democrats, we would have never … found out that
the Democrats and Hillary Clinton paid [former British spy] Christopher Steele
to generate this dirt on President Trump.”
"So I tend to ignore everything that they say,"
Nunes added. "We continue to do our work day in and day out to get to the
truth. And gradually we are getting to the truth."
Nunes revealed earlier this year that the FBI used the
anti-Trump dossier alleging collusion between the presidential campaign and the
Russians to renew surveillance warrants again former Trump adviser Carter Page.
Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) funded the
dossier.
Information the congressional committees' investigations
have steadily uncovered includes direct evidence of profoundly anti-Trump and
pro-Clinton bias within the DOJ and FBI during the Russian collusion
investigation, and also in the immediately prior probe of Clinton's use of a private
email server to conduct official business as secretary of state.
Nunes noted that he referred 17 current and former DOJ and
FBI officials to Gowdy of the House oversight committee, and to Bob Goodlatte
(R-Va.), chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary.
Nunes also revealed Monday that he referred 10 Obama-era
Department of State and White House officials to Gowdy and Goodlatte for
testimony about the dossier, surveillance abuse, and other matters.
Congressional investigators "still don't understand
how" and why the Trump-Russia investigation "was opened" in the
first place, Nunes said, noting that "many people in the Obama-era State
Department were involved in the opening of that investigation."
"We also know that many people in the State Department
were meeting with Christopher Steele ... so this is why this investigation is
taking a while," Nunes said. "A lot of people had their hands on the
Steele dossier, including many people in the media who knew about the Steele
dossier."
Nunes said these reasons are "partly why I am sending
these names over to the judiciary and oversight committees, because they
already have a task force — the task force has been convened."
"They should be able to do all of these hearings in the
public, full transparency, so that people can watch on live television,"
Nunes told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. "But the good thing is that I
believe that Chairmen Gowdy and Goodlatte, their task force will interview
these people, and they will interview them in public. It will be the first time
during this entire investigation that the American people get to see actual
questions get answered by these potential witnesses."
"That is my recommendation to the committee chairmen. I
believe they will follow that recommendation. And they may have other
names," Nunes added. "I believe as these hearings take place and
testimony is given to the Congress, I think it will be a much-needed sunlight
in this investigation. I think the American people will begin to see who is
telling the truth and who is not telling the truth."
Nunes also ripped mainstream media outlets for failing to
cover the Obama-era scandals and seeking to "get to the bottom of
it."
"What we're having to do here as the legislative branch
of government — we're having to do the work that the media won't do because
there are very few in the media who will actually cover this story to try to
get to the bottom of it," Nunes lamented. "That's part of what's
taking so long. Typically you would have a free and fair and transparent media
trying to get to the truth. But in this case we haven't had that."
Nunes said he hopes to ensure the American people "know
that this is just one more step in the process" of finding answers and
achieving transparency.
"I think we've been very transparent about how we've
conducted the process. We're onto FISA abuse and other matters. I've said for a
long time that we're looking at the State Department."
Now here is a collusion list that is sure to inspire massive
lying deflection with such beginning phrases as “But Trump did …”
Have you noticed that NOT one scintilla of corroborated
evidence has been produced to suggest that President Trump colluded with Russia
to win the 2016? My God! It’s 2018 and the Dems pulling all the stops and lies
to remove the President from Office.
AND YET, there is a huge (or YUGE) amount of public
information of not only collusion but also corruption within the Obama/Crooked
Hillary camp to steal the 2016 election or (in the blessed event that won Trump
won) impeach the President.
Willis L. Krumholz writing for The Federalist
illustrates a clear picture of actions that should lead to criminal
prosecution.
The intelligence bureaucracies spied
on the Donald Trump campaign: Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act
warrants were granted because of a Hillary Clinton-funded and unverified
document, national-security letters were issued to allow warrantless spying,
and the unprecedented but not-illegal-per-se unmasking of Trump officials’
conversations with non-U.S. persons was shockingly routine.
Yet the news of a CIA-connected human source operating as
far back as April or May of 2016 is about more thanjust
spying. It is the latest example in what now looks to be a long
line of attempted setups by the Clinton team, many times aided and abetted by
our intelligence bureaucracies.
These events should anger any red blooded American who
believes in representative democracy and the importance of the rule of
law. Let’s review eight examples.
1. CIA And FBI ‘Human Intelligence’
We’ve just learned about Stefan
Halper, a CIA-connected Cambridge
professor who — working for the FBI — contacted Trump advisers Carter Page,
George Papadopoulos, and Sam Clovis during the 2016 election, to investigate
what they might know about suspicions of collusion with Russia. Former Trump
campaign aide Michael
Caputo has claimed that he was approached by an unknown second
U.S. intelligence community asset in early May of 2016.
The FBI says that the Russia investigation began in July,
because of something Papadopoulos said to an Australian diplomat in May.
Papadopoulos had supposedly
told the Australian diplomat something about Russia having information that
“could be damaging” to Clinton. Papadopoulos allegedly heard this from Joseph
Mifsud, a Maltese-born professor who allegedly claimed to have close ties with
Russia.
Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team charged Papadopoulos
— unconvincingly —
with lying to investigators, because Papadopoulos said his contacts with Mifsud
began before he was on the Trump campaign. Actually, the contacts started after
he “learned he would be a foreign policy advisor for the campaign,” but before
the campaign made a public announcement that he was to be an advisor.
Mifsud is strangely now in hiding, possibly fearing for his
life. Lee Smithdetails Mifsud’s
ties to Western intelligence agencies, and Margot Cleveland suspects Mifsud
may have been a U.S. intelligence plant along with Halper.
2. The Trump Tower Meeting
Whenever Democrats or David French types talk about Trump
and Russia collusion they look to the Trump Tower meeting as definitive proof.
There are several problems with that. First, no presidential campaign in
American history would pass up the chance of hearing evidence of crimes being
committed by their opponent, no matter the source. In fact, some would say
you’re doing the country a favor if you let everyone know that your opponent is
subject to blackmail from a not-so-friendly foreign power (just don’t have your
son and son-in-law sit in on the meeting).
More problematic is that Glenn Simpson — head of Fusion GPS,
the firm being paid by the Clinton campaign and the DNC to prove (or create)
ties between Trump and Russia — met with the two Russians who attended the
Trump Tower meeting both before and after the meeting. Simpson’s
excuse for doing so? Because he was working with the two Russians on a
different issue, the repeal of the anti-Kremlin Magnitsky Act.
In other words, at the very least, the firm that created the
dossier for Clinton and the DNC — using Russian intelligence sources — was the
same firm that was working with the Kremlin to repeal a law
passed by Congress because Putin’s thugs beat an innocent man to death in
Russian prison. At most, this was yet another setup.
3. Mike Flynn And The Logan Act
During the 2016 campaign, Democrats howled about the need to
prosecute Trump campaign officials under an obscure 1799 law called the Logan Act. Byron
York has documented that
this was the pretext Obama-appointed former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates
used to unmask former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s side of
highly-appropriate phone conversations with the Russian ambassador that
occurred during the transition period, and then send FBI agents to interview
Flynn about those conversations.
Although the FBI has
tried to cover this up, we now know that the agents who interviewed
Flynn — including the disgraced and hugely anti-Trump Peter Strzok — didn’t
believe that Flynn had lied. Nevertheless, Mueller’s team
charged Flynn with lying to the FBI. After Mueller’s charge had nearly
bankrupted Flynn, and after Mueller threatened to go after Flynn’s son, Flynn
pled guilty to lying to the FBI.
4. Andrew McCabe Sets Up Reince Priebus
After an intelligence briefing at the White House in early
2017, former FBI number two Andrew McCabe asked
to meet privately with former White House Chief of Staff
Reince Priebus. A story had just dropped — anonymously sourced from multiple
intelligence community officials — that Trump aides had multiple contacts with
Russian intelligence during the election.
McCabe wanted to tell Priebus that the FBI didn’t think the
story was true. Of course, Priebus asked McCabe if the FBI could publicly say
just that. McCabe said he would have to check. But former FBI Director James
Comey called Priebus to say that the FBI couldn’t publicly shoot down the
story.
Days later, the “breaking news” on CNN was that the White
House had tried to pressure the FBI into batting down the reports on supposed
ties between Trump and Russia. So not only was the White House supposedly
colluding, now there were allegations of obstruction of justice.
5. Brennan Shops Dossier To Harry Reid
Former CIA Director John Brennan, who may have been the U.S.
intelligence official to first
push an investigation into the Trump campaign, briefed
then-Sen. Harry Reid on the Clinton-funded dossier in August 2016.
The briefing did two things: First, it lent some legitimacy
to the dossier, and second, it got Reid to pressure the FBI to not drop the
investigation. The briefing had the added bonus of allowing Reid to speak
publicly about Trump’s ties to Russia, as if he had just gained access to
groundbreaking proof of collusion, which was of course covered by the media.
6. Comey And Clapper Give CNN A Reason To Publish The
Dossier
Comey, at the behest of former Director of National
Intelligence James Clapper, briefed Trump on one of the allegations in the
dossier, but not on the main allegation in the dossier, who had funded the
dossier, or how that dossier was being used by the FBI. Nevertheless, this
briefing looks like one more setup,
meant to allow CNN to report on the existence of the dossier as if it were
highly verified and being seriously examined by U.S. intelligence community
officials.
Clapper then leaked information
about the dossier and the briefings to CNN, and later looks to have lied about
those leaks to Congress. Amazingly, Clapper has previously lied to Congress.
Clapper now works for CNN.
7. The Jeff Sessions Recusal
Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the
Russia investigation after anonymous intelligence community leaks about his
contacts with Russians. Specifically, Sessions — as a senator — met with former
Russian ambassador to the U.S. Sergei Kislyak in his D.C. office. In another
meeting, Sessions gave a speech and a gaggle of diplomats — including Kislyak —
talked with him for several minutes as he was coming off the stage.
The idea behind the unnecessary recusal
was that somehow Sessions had misrepresented these contacts to former Sen. Al
Franken. Actually,
Franken — referring to one of many CNN stories sourced by anonymous officials
about supposed Trump and Russia collusion — had clearly asked about whether
Sessions had colluded with any Russians during the campaign, not whether
Sessions had ever met any Russians.
8. Rosenstein Recommends Comey Firing, Appoints Special
Counsel
But with Jeff Sessions out of the way, Deputy Attorney
General Rod Rosenstein became the acting attorney general for all things Russia-investigation-related.
Rosenstein then recommended Comey’s
firing, and then — overseeing the investigation that stemmed from that firing —
appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel. Mueller, a former FBI Director,
happened to be a close associate of Comey and Rosenstein, and would surely want
to protect the interests of the FBI and the Justice Department.
Taken together, these setups indicate a massive effort to
aid the Clinton campaign before the election.
After all, the entire theory of Trump-Russia collusion originated
with the Clinton campaign in the lead-up to the Democrat
National Convention, when it became clear that the DNC had experienced a
document theft. That document theft was highly embarrassing to Clinton and the
DNC, as it revealed that the DNC had been systematically stacking the deck
against Bernie Sanders. The immediate goal, then, was to both distract from the
mistreatment of Bernie, and completely peel the GOP national security
establishment away from Trump. The Clinton campaign was successful in both of
these efforts.
Later, during the general election, whenever Hillary’s
misdeeds came up, Clinton responded by pointing to Trump’s nefarious ties with
Russia. Distasteful as it may seem, this was Machiavellian politics 101. Any
focus group of voters would have told the Clinton people that Hillary was the
steady hand, but that they had ethical concerns about her, and also sought a
change from the status quo. The way to counteract this reluctance was to paint
Hillary’s opponent as ethically challenged, too, and paint his alternative to
the status quo as downright dangerous. (You might say that Trump was an easy
target here, but look what the Obama-campaign did to Romney.)
Dirty tricks are of course not new to American politics. But
the apparent involvement of the U.S. intelligence community in these setups is
deeply troubling. Democrats, intelligence bureaucrats, and the media have told
us that the investigation started with Page. When that fell apart, they said
the investigation started with Papadopoulos. Now,
the Papadopoulos origination story is falling
apart too.
It now looks like the corrupt and highly partisan
upper-echelon of the U.S. intelligence community started their preliminary
investigation as soon as the Clinton people — in the run-up to the Democratic
convention — began claiming
that there were ties between Trump and Russia. During this same
time, Clinton and the DNC paid Fusion GPS, which hired Chris Steele to dig
up ties between Trump and Russia.
This is nothing more than prosecutorial
point and shoot, where corrupt big-government politicians send the
corrupt and sympathetic federal bureaucracy after their political enemies. It’s
no different than what happened with Lois Lerner at the Internal Revenue
Service. Democrats gave speeches and sent official letters, Obama implied he
wanted action, and dutiful bureaucrats did the rest.
With the intelligence agencies on board, legitimacy was lent
to the Hillary Clinton campaign’s wild claims. All the media had to do in the
weeks before Election Day was to frantically report that Trump’s campaign was
being investigated, and that a document containing allegations of Trump-Russia
ties (the “dossier”) was being seriously looked into by intelligence officials.
That fed back to the voters, and certainly made many feel a little bit better
about voting for Clinton, or not voting for Trump.
After the election, it has been all about C.Y.A., because
these corrupt bureaucrats leading these intelligence bureaucracies never
imagined Trump would win. Here, ladies and gentleman, is your real election
interference and collusion: between the massive, all-powerful and unaccountable
intelligence bureaucracies, the media, the Obama administration, and the
Clinton campaign.

William LaSalle posted a huge comment to my share at the G+
Community Truth Warriors. Google flagged it as spam with these loving
words from the social platform masters: “Removed as spam and only visible
to you”.
I thought, “Well that is annoying.” I began reading LaSalle’s
post.
The LaSalle comment was huge which might have contributed to
Google flagging as spam.
As (or if) you read the comment, LaSalle comes off as an
angry person ranting about the state of affairs left for America by one of the
most Presidential Administrations in U.S. history. The thing is LaSalle backs
his rant with admittedly Conservative sourced links, yet he includes some links
that are from the Left MSM.
AND I made the post even longer by adding some excerpts to most
of those standalone source links for better context.
I might add I concur with 95% of LaSalle’s rants but not
all. LaSalle has several paragraph-lists of nefarious individuals and
organizations in which some overlap, one example:
The M.O. of George Soros, Barack
Obama, Muslims, the Roman Catholic Church, Organized Crime, the
United Nations, Obama's Administration, Liberals, Socialists and Communists,
and Hilary Clinton is the same.
I point the “Roman Catholic Church” in bold/italicized text.
As huge as the comment is, his inclusion of the Catholics as nefarious actors
is not sourced. This leads me to believe a bit of personal animus against
Catholics which is not an uncommon issue even among good moral upstanding
Protestants (as opposed to a hate group).
I am a Protestant/Charismatic/Word-of-Faith Christian. Being
in this crowd I have received share of animus from Mainstream Protestants and
Catholic in Denominational Christianity.
The irony of LaSalle’s animus toward Catholics is he is
commenting to a post that showed my displeasure of Jew-Hating Muslims promoting
the proven forgery/hoax document The Protocols of the Elders of Zion as legit.
Those that have animus toward Catholics have some legit
gripes with Catholic Dogma, such as: Papal Infallibility, encouraging prayers
to angels and canonized saints and so on.
The reality is that devout Catholics have the same Conservative
Family values as Biblical-minded Protestants. Today’s modern world has both
Catholics and Protestants that have eschewed the Bible as God’s Word to

week raised the possibility that a special counsel may be appointed to
investigate potential wrongdoing by the Clinton Foundation, specifically
suggestions that a U.S. government panel approved the sale of a large uranium
firm to Russian interests in exchange for donations to the foundation.
The so-called Uranium One deal has
been a focus of conservative media and President Donald Trump, who has
repeatedly asked on Twitter why the DOJ is not actively investigating the
matter.
What is the Uranium One deal?
The deal in question involves the
sale of a Canadian company, Uranium One, with mining interests in the U.S. to
Rosatom, Russia’s nuclear energy agency. The sale occurred in stages, beginning
in 2009 when Rosatom purchased a minority stake in Uranium One, and continued
in 2010, when the Russian agency took ownership of a 51 percent share of the
company. In 2013, a third transaction gave Rosatom full ownership of Uranium
One.
With its purchase of Uranium One,
Rosatom assumed control of roughly 20 percent of uranium production capacity in
the U.S. The current licenses issued to Rosatom’s U.S. subsidiaries, issued by
the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, prohibit the company from exporting uranium
outside the country, according to OilPrice.com.

Controversy surrounding the deal
largely pertains to 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, who
was secretary of state in 2010 when the State Department signed off on

donors to the Clinton Foundation, giving $145 million to the charitable
foundation, and critics have alleged that Clinton greenlighted the sale to
appease donors to her family’s charity.
Connections between Clinton
Foundation donors and Uranium One were first published in 2015 by The New York Times,

Lynch & Co. and was to fund what became a cornerstone event during the week
of the August 2000 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles â€" an
A-list Hollywood gala honoring outgoing President Clinton that raised $1 million
for First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton's fledging New York Senate campaign.
Gordon was right-hand man to
entrepreneur Peter Paul, who provided the money by borrowing against Merrill
Lynch margin accounts secured by more than 1 million shares in Stan Lee
Media Inc. Gordon was then Stan Lee Media's executive vice president
in charge of operations, and Paul, officially a consultant to the company, was
its co-founder.
This was New Economy money: Stan Lee Media had never turned a profit. It had
value thanks to the dot-com bubble and the reputation of its namesake chairman,

The news broke last week: an
investigation by Israel’s Shin Bet found that the Gaza organization of World
Vision, the globe’s largest Christian NGO, had been thoroughly
infiltrated by Hamas for a number of years. Since 2005,
Muhammad El-Halabi, the operations manager of World Vision in Gaza, had
funneled more than $7 million per year from the charity to the terrorist group
– and not to the nominally political government of Gaza, but to Hamas’s
so-called “militant wing,” which conducts the terrorist operations.

The Clinton Foundation accepted millions of dollars from
seven foreign governments during Hillary Rodham Clinton’s tenure as secretary
of state, including one donation that violated its ethics agreement with the
Obama administration, foundation officials disclosed Wednesday.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United
States must look past the violence and extremism that has erupted after the
“Arab Spring” revolutions and boost support for the region’s young democracies
to forge long-term security, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Friday.
Last November, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)
co-sponsored legislation along with Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) demanding
that President Obama label the Muslim Brotherhood an official foreign terrorist
organization. The Muslim
Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act prefaces its conclusions
with comprehensive research and historical precedent. "Multiple countries
have declared the Society of the Muslim Brothers (commonly known as the
‘‘Muslim Brotherhood’’) a terrorist organization or proscribed the group from
operating in their countries," begins the bill. The bill didn’t make it
through the winding roads of bureaucracy as a result of the Obama
administration’s apparent sympathies for the Islamist group, but now,
President-elect Donald Trump’s advisors are vowing to push through that same
piece of legislation when the Republican victor assumes the oath of office in
January.
The Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR) has been connected to the terrorist organization Hamas,
a federal judge said in a
July 2009 ruling unsealed last week.
"The government has produced
ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, with NAIT,
the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas," U.S. District
Court Judge Jorge Solis said in the July 1, 2009, ruling.
CAIR, the Islamic Society of North
America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) had protested to
Solis that they were incorrectly named as unindicted co-conspirators in the
2008 trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. Among the
allegations, HLF was accused of having provided more than $12 million to Hamas.
After a 2007 mistrial, five former HLF officials convicted on
108 counts, ranging from money laundering to conspiring to provide material
support to terrorists.
The Clinton Foundation and the
terror group Hamas share a key donor: The government of Qatar, a leading backer
of terror groups that has emerged in recent years as Hamas’ chief financial
lifeline.
Qatar, which has been designated by
the State Department as a "significant terrorist financing risk,"
has pledged more than $400
million to Hamas since 2012 and has long harbored one of the terror group’s
senior leaders, Khaled Mashaal.
At the same time, Qatar has sought
to curry favor with elite Westerners, donatingbetween $1
million and $5 million through 2013 to the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton
Foundation.

perjury and obstruction of justice consumed more than a year of American public

The report states:
The FBI just released notes from
its July 2 interview with Hillary Clinton about her use of a private, unsecured
email server during her tenure as secretary of State. Their findings don’t look
good for Clinton.
Days after the interview, which was
not recorded, FBI director James Comey publicly held a press conference urging
the Department of Justice not to press any criminal charges against Clinton,
despite her “extremely careless” handling
of classified information.
In the FBI report, Clinton made
statements that appear to either contradict her earlier remarks about the email
scandal or to be flat-out lies.
If Barack Obama did not document every one of Hilary Clinton's Crimes, the ones

Director James Comey wrote that newly discovered emails do not change the FBI’s
prior conclusion that Hillary Clinton should not be charged with a crime.
That’s FBI Director James Comey’s
new message to Congress and, by extension, the American public on Sunday. A
little over a week ago, Comey shook the presidential election with a letter to
the chairs of several congressional committees, announcing that the FBI had
found a new tranche of emails pertinent to its investigation into Hillary
Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state. The emails
came from an unrelated case, he said—since widely reported to be an
investigation into alleged sexts to a teenager from Anthony Weiner, whose
estranged wife is a top Clinton aide—and there was no timeline for finishing
the review.

Every President, every politician, and every human being tells lies and
engages in acts of hypocrisy. But Barack Obama does these things to a far
greater degree than anyone else that I have ever known of. His campaign promises
were so much better sounding than anyone else's – no lobbyists in his
administration, waiting five days before signing all non-emergency bills so
people would have time to read them, putting health care negotiations on
C-SPAN, reading every bill line by line to make sure money isn't being wasted,
prosecution of Wall St. criminals, ending raids against medical marijuana in
states where it's legal, high levels of transparency. Obama's promises of these
wonderful things sounded inspiring and sincere. They sounded so much better
than the promises of any other President. So when Obama broke these promises,
it felt so much worse than when other Presidents broke their promises.
Obama's White House didn't rule out the possibility of
Hillary Clinton receiving a last-minute pardon from President Obama — even
though she hasn’t been charged with a crime. Too late now.
A pardon for Hilary will remove all doubt.
Hilary Clinton is a Criminal and always has been.
