Trump Touches Politically Incorrect Nerve

Ban Muslim Immigration

Donald Trump is taking all kinds of flak for saying we should ban Muslims coming to the USA until we figure out “… what the hell is going on?”

Donald Trump statement on Muslims. Watch the full campaign rally here in South Carolina here: http://cs.pn/1N9jJFI

I expected America’s Left (i.e. Democrats) and Muslim Apologists to go apoplectic against Trumps call for a ban on Muslims coming to America. I was a little taken back by the hysteria of Republicans and Conservatives that joined the American Left.

Since the original Trump call it is becoming clearer he is modifying his Muslim moratorium to Muslim immigrants which makes more sense than a total ban of other Muslims coming to visit as tourists, businessmen or diplomatic political figures. Geopolitically banning ALL Muslims would be financial and political nightmare. On the other hand banning Muslim immigrants until we figure out what the hell we are going to do about separating American-hating Muslims from Muslims willing to assimilate to the American culture upholding the U.S. Constitution as the law of the land.

Check out some of the GOP/Conservatives condemning Trump for a temporary stoppage of Muslim immigration – again – until we figure out what the hell is going on:

Nearly every fellow Republican candidate — with the notable exception of Ted Cruz — issued strongly-worded denunciations. Jeb Bush even wondered if Trump was a plant in the service of Hillary Clinton. (RELATED: Trump’s Republican Rivals Slam His Muslim Moratorium Proposal)

The focal point of House Speaker Paul Ryan‘s Tuesday press conference was excoriating the front-runner’s proposal and stating how it wasn’t conservative and wasn’t what the Republican Party was about. (RELATED: Paul Ryan Condemns Trump’s Muslim Moratorium Proposal: ‘This Is Not Conservatism’)

Arguably, the most shocking denouncer of all was Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus — the party official most concerned with keeping Trump in the GOP fold. Priebus condemned the proposal as against “our American values” and said he in no way agreed with it.
The least shocking element incensed by the proposed Muslim ban were the majority of conservative media outlets and figureheads who’ve long made it known that they disdain the real estate mogul. Their attacks were just a bit more intense this time around. (The GOP Establishment Is In For A Shock Over Trump’s Muslim Moratorium; By Scott Greer; Daily Caller; 12/9/15 12:20 AM)

My personal stand on the theopolitical religion of Islam definitely is not a politically correct one. In my selected readings of the Quran, Hadith and Sira shows Islam is virulently against Christianity and Judaism. In the case of Christianity Islam condemns the centrality of Christian faith in denying Jesus Christ is the Son of God; died on the Cross, buried in a tomb and after three days arose from the dead in a Holy Resurrection now dwelling at the right hand of the Father continuously interceding for Believers in Christ Jesus. This Islamic DENIAL makes Islam an antichrist religion. Ergo I have no problem with Trump’s original statement before clarification was added.

Other religious faiths may disagree with Christian beliefs but that is a matter of choice and I am not bothered by that choice. Faith in Christ is a choice also. The difference between other non-Muslim religions and Islam is that none of them specifically pinpoint Christianity as a lie that should be dealt with in this life before death. In Islam a lack of submission to Islamic Supremacy is a death sentence politically, culturally or both in Muslim dominated lands. Europe is now experiencing this Muslim intolerance in Muslim dominated conclaves that are no-go zones.

A recent Facebook post by Rev. Franklin Graham is a voice crying in the wilderness in support of Donald Trump’s ideas about Muslim immigration to the USA:

For some time I have been saying that Muslim immigration into the United States should be stopped until we can properly vet them or until the war with Islam is over. Donald J. Trump has been criticized by some for saying something similar. The new Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said yesterday that he disagrees—saying that “such views are not what this party stands for and more importantly it’s not what this country stands for.” Politicians in Washington seem to be totally disconnected with reality.
Research shows that there are 2.75 million Muslims living in the U.S. According to a poll commissioned by the Center for Security Policy, 51% of Muslims living in America believe “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to sharia” (Islamic law) instead of the U.S. Constitution. 29% agree that violence against those who insult Mohammad is acceptable, and 25% agree that violence against America can be justified as part of global jihad. Among males under the age of 45, that number rises to 36%. And 29% of males under 45 believe that violence against America is justified in order to make Sharia the law of the land. This is frightening.
Our politicians are not listening to the truth—my prayer is that God will open their eyes. This affects our security and the future of our nation. If you agree, email your Congressman or Senator today, and SHARE this with others (be sure to copy & paste this text when sharing). [Franklin Graham; Facebook; 12/9/15 7:52am]

Rev. Graham included a link to “Priebus, Ryan and McConnell rip Trump anti-Muslim proposal - CNNPolitics.com” which undoubtedly highlights the Communist News Network’s … err, I mean … CNN’s view of Trump’s call to ban Muslim immigration.

Yeah just in case I was not clear – BAN Muslim Immigration!

Below Bob Unruh adds some detail to Rev. Graham’s and Trump’s thoughts on Muslim immigration to the USA.

Franklin Graham: 144,000 American Muslims not 'peaceful'
Endorses Trump's closed border plan: 'Our politicians need to realize the dangers'

December 10, 2015

Franklin Graham, who heads the Samaritan’s Purse organization as well as the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, has endorsed GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s idea of halting Muslim immigration into the United States, at least temporarily.

He warns there’s a good reason: some 144,000 Muslims already in the United States “who openly say without hesitation that violence in the name of Islam is justified!”

Graham’s comments have been posted over the last 24 hours on his Facebook page, where he noted the mantra from “political leaders and world experts” that “the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful people.”

“Some have suggested that as many as 99 percent fall into this category. Well, we don’t have to guess or estimate; the Pew Research Center has released extensive research on how Muslims in the U.S. self-identify on questions of violence – and the conclusions are frightening.”

Graham cited the 1.8 million Muslim adults in the United States.

“Pew Research released that eight percent of adult Muslims in the U.S. said that suicide bombings and other forms of violence in the name of Islam are ‘sometimes’ or ‘often’ justified. Think about it – that’s 144,000 Muslims who openly say without hesitation that violence in the name of Islam is justified!

“That’s not ‘peaceful’ and that’s not a small number – it’s about the size of the entire population of Syracuse, New York!” he wrote.

“I’m 100 percent sure of this – our nation and our politicians need to realize the dangers of allowing people into this country that are not properly vetted.”

Earlier he wrote, in endorsing Trump’s idea, that the simple fact a part of America’s Muslim population believes the Constitution should be ruled by Shariah is a concern.
“For some time I have been saying that Muslim immigration into the United States should be stopped until we can properly vet them or until the war with Islam is over,” he wrote.

“Research shows that there are 2.75 million Muslims living in the U.S. According to a poll commissioned by the Center for Security Policy, 51 percent of Muslims living in America believe ‘Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah’ [Islamic law] instead of the U.S. Constitution.”

He continued, “Twenty-nine percent agree that violence against those who insult Mohammad is acceptable, and 25 percent agree that violence against America can be justified as part of global jihad. … This is frightening.”

Trump had called for a halt to Muslim immigration into the U.S. until those in Washington can figure out what to do regarding Islamist terror, especially that inside the U.S. His comments came in the aftermath of the Islamic terror attack in California where a radicalized husband and wife shot and killed 14 and wounded another 21 at a county Christmas party.

Trump has made it clear he is not insulting a religion, but addressing a security concern.

The result of Trump’s comments is that he’s gotten more popular in polls and the Washington Times reported now nearly two-thirds of “likely Republican primary voters support Donald Trump’s plan to bar Muslims from the United States.”

That report cited a Bloomberg Politics poll showed 65 percent of likely Republican voters approved of the Muslim ban, compared to 22 percent who opposed it and 13 percent who didn’t know.

WND had reported on the Pew results just this week. [A]nd the report explained that with only 1 percent of the nation’s population, Muslims managed to account for half of all the nation’s terror attacks following the 9/11 terror attacks.

Mark Krikorian, chief of the Center for Immigration Studies, explained, “That means Muslims in the United States are about 5,000 percent more likely to commit terrorist attacks than non-Muslims.”

The Pew results also suggested a political reason for a Democrat White House to be pursuing hundreds of thousands of such immigrants to bring to the U.S.

Pew found that 70 percent of Muslims in the U.S. vote Democratic, while only 11 percent vote Republican.

Franklin Graham Warns Obama “Mr. President, Wake up to the Very Real Threat of Islam.”

Franklin Graham

Bill Chandler provides Franklin Graham’s thoughts on Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech before Congress. Those thoughts support the Prime Minister’s analysis of Iran, nuclear weaponry and Radical Islam as embodied by Daesh (ISIS) followed by contempt on how President Barack Hussein Obama is handling Islamic terrorism and a nuke deal with Iran.

Franklin Graham Warns Obama “Mr. President, Wake up to the Very Real Threat of Islam.”

March 5, 2015

Reverend Franklin Graham weights in to response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before Congress warning of the dangers of “militant Islam” from both Iran and the Islamic State. Reverend Graham then called upon President Barack Obama to:

“wake up to the very real threat of Islam.”

Reverend Graham also called upon all Americans to “pray that our president and our leaders will wake up to the true threat of Islam.”

“In a Mar. 4 Facebook post, Rev. Graham quoted from Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Mar. 3 speech before a joint meeting of Congress, in which he said, “Iran and ISIS are competing for the crown of militant Islam. One calls itself the Islamic Republic. The other calls itself the Islamic State. Both want to impose a militant Islamic empire first on the region and then on the entire world. They just disagree among themselves who will be the ruler of that empire.”

“March 3, Reverend Graham writes in his facebook, “In this deadly game of thrones, there’s no place for America or for Israel, no peace for Christians, Jews or Muslims who don’t share the Islamist medieval creed, no rights for women, no freedom for anyone,” Said Netanyahu. “The difference is that ISIS is armed with butcher knives, captured weapons and YouTube, whereas Iran could soon be armed with intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear bombs.”

“And he follows up on March 4,”Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a powerful speech today before a joint session of Congress. He made the case that the greatest threat to the world is the marriage of militant Islam and nuclear weapons. He called for an end to Iranian aggression and contrasted America with Iran–“America’s founding document promises life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Iran’s founding document pledges death, tyranny, and the pursuit of jihad.” Let’s pray that our president and our leaders will wake up to the true threat of Islam.”

“Israeli Prime Minister said it well: “Iran and ISIS are competing for the crown of militant Islam. One calls itself the Islamic Republic. The other calls itself the Islamic State. Both want to impose a militant Islamic empire first on the region and then on the entire world. They just disagree among themselves who will be the ruler of that empire. In this deadly game of thrones, there’s no place for America or for Israel, no peace for Christians, Jews or Muslims who don’t share the Islamist medieval creed, no rights for women, no freedom for anyone…The difference is that ISIS is armed with butcher knives, captured weapons and YouTube, whereas Iran could soon be armed with intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear bombs.”

The Rev. Franklin Graham charged in an exclusive Newsmax TV interview that America is in a deep economic quagmire because “we have turned our backs on God.”

“The more we turn our backs on God, the bigger our problem becomes,” Graham, the son of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham, tells Newsmax in a wide-ranging interview. “I didn’t hear any of the candidates say that we needed to call our nation to prayer. I didn’t hear any of the candidates say that we needed to ask God for help.

Obama: 'Son of Islam'?

Franklin Graham caused a bit of a stir while on MSNBC’s Morning Joe when he said Muslims believe Obama is a son of Islam. Leftists went on a frenzy to condemn Graham not realizing the reality of Islam. The Morning Joe Lefties were remarkably rude implying BHO’s demonstration of Christianity was real and candidates such as Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich’s profession of faith in was at least as equal to BHO. And the Leftie panel hammered Graham by not listing Mitt Romney as a Christian when in fact Romney is a Mormon with a very different theology than the orthodox basics stretching across the Christian lines of Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Protestant theology.

Obama: 'Son of Islam'?

By Raymond Ibrahim
February 27, 2012
Originally: Stonegate Institute

Many in the media are indignant with Reverend Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Invited on "Morning Joe" last Tuesday to discuss Christian persecution, the hosts turned the focus to interrogating Graham on whether he thought President Barack Obama was Christian or not. Though the Reverend concluded that Obama "has said he's a Christian, so I just have to assume that he is," he appeared skeptical, suggesting Obama's policies disagree with Christian principles, and thus earning the full ire of much of the fourth estate.

Intrinsically trivial on many levels, this incident nevertheless brings several important points to the fore.

First, Graham was absolutely right to say that, "under Islamic law, the Muslim world sees Barack Obama as a Muslim, as a son of Islam": according to Sharia, if one's father is Muslim, one automatically becomes Muslim. In fact, the reason behind last week's church attack in Egypt, when thousands of Muslims tried to torch a church and kill its pastor, is that a Christian girl fled her father after he converted to Islam: she did not want to be Muslim, and was rumored to be hiding in the church. (This would not be the first time in recent months that churches were attacked on similar rumors.)

Because of this automatic passage of Islam from father to son—with the death penalty for those seeking to apostatize, the condemned Iranian pastor being just the most visible example—and because Obama attended a madrassa (a Muslim religious school) during his youth in Indonesia, many Muslims are convinced that Obama is a "secret" Muslim. In a Forbes article, "My Muslim President Obama: Why members of the faith see him as one of the flock," writer Asma Gull Hasan elaborates:

[S]ince Election Day, I have been part of more and more conversations with Muslims in which it was either offhandedly agreed that Obama is Muslim or enthusiastically blurted out. In commenting on our new president, "I have to support my fellow Muslim brother," would slip out of my mouth before I had a chance to think twice. "Well, I know he's not really Muslim," I would quickly add. But if the person I was talking to was Muslim, they would say, "yes he is." …. Most of the Muslims I know (me included) can't seem to accept that Obama is not Muslim. Of the few Muslims I polled who said that Obama is not Muslim, even they conceded that he had ties to Islam…. The rationalistic, Western side of me knows that Obama has denied being Muslim, that his father was non-practicing, that he doesn't attend a mosque. Many Muslims simply say back, "my father's not a strict Muslim either, and I haven't been to a mosque in years." Obama even told The New York Times he could recite the adhan, the Islamic call to prayer, which the vast majority of Muslims, I would guess, do not know well enough to recite. [Read the entire article, which is more eye-opening than the author probably intended.]

Another reason why many Muslims believe Obama is Muslim (a reason Ms. Hasan's article understandably omits) is that, under the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya, Muslims are permitted—in certain contexts even encouraged—to deny being Muslim, if so doing secures them or Islam an advantage. Accordingly, Islamic history is full of stories of Muslims denying and publicly cursing Islam, even pretending to be Christian, whenever it was strategic.

In other words, if an American president was a secret Muslim, and if he was lying about it, and even if he was secretly working to subvert the U.S. to Islam's advantage—not only would that be justified by Islamic doctrines of loyalty and deception, but it would have ample precedents, stretching back to the dawn of Islam. Such as when Muhammad commanded a convert from an adversarial tribe to conceal his new Muslim identity and go back to his tribe—which he cajoled with a perfidious "You are my stock and my family, the dearest of men to me"—only to betray them to Islam's invading armies.

Graham further upset "progressive" sensitivities by saying "All I know is under Obama, President Obama, the Muslims of the world, he seems to be more concerned about them than the Christians that are being murdered in the Muslim countries," adding that "Islam has gotten a free pass under Obama."

Yet who can deny this? Whether by expunging any reference to Islam in U.S. security documents, or enabling Muslim persecution of Christians, or ordering NASA to make Muslims "feel good" about themselves, or bowing to the anti-Christian Saudi king—the President has made his partiality for Islam very clear: Islam is undoubtedly getting a "free pass" under Obama.

What Franklin Graham's critics fail to understand is that, when it comes to Obama's religious identity, the Reverend probably has Jesus' dictum in mind: "By their fruits shall ye know them"—that is, pro-Islamic actions speak louder than Christian words.

Franklin Graham: Obama Does More for Muslims

Franklin Graham: Obama Does More for Muslims

February 21, 2012

President Barack Obama's faith is continuing to raise debate following criticism from GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum that the president's agenda promotes "phony theology" not based on the Bible.

Tuesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Rev. Franklin Graham was asked if he believes Obama is a Christian.

Graham, who is the son of evangelist Billy Graham, said he takes the president at his word, but that people also need to understand what it means to be Christian.

"I have no idea what he really believes," Graham said. "For me, the definition of a Christian is whether we have given our life to Christ and are following Him in faith, and we have trusted Him as our Lord and Savior."

Graham was then asked about the president's connection to Islam. He suggested that Obama could be considered a Muslim.

"Under Sharia law, Islam sees him as a son of Islam because his father was a Muslim, his grandfather was a Muslim, his great grandfather was a Muslim," Graham responded. "So under Islamic law, the Muslim world sees Barack Obama as a Muslim, as a son of Islam. That's just the way it works."

"But of course he says he didn't grow up that way," Graham continued. "[He says] he didn't believe in that. He believes in Jesus Christ, so I accept that."

Graham called the president "an incredible man," but also expressed concern that Obama is not as outspoken as he could be on the persecution of Christians worldwide.

"[He] seems to be more concerned about" the Muslims than the "Christians that are being murdered in the Muslim countries," Graham said. "...He could be speaking to these countries now, demanding that they protect the Christians."

Graham went on to say he believes presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are Christians. When asked about former Gov. Mitt Romney he said, "Most Christians would not recognize Mormonism as part of the Christian faith."

Meanwhile, White House Spokesman Jay Carney said the president is continuing to focus on the economy, rather than on what people are currently saying about his faith.

President Obama has continuously said that he's a Christian. In a speech at this month's National Prayer Breakfast, Obama said prayer is important in his life and that he reads devotions and daily scriptures.

Palin Defends Graham: Islam is Evil

John R. Houk
© April 24, 2010

Sarah Palin steps up to defend Franklin Graham. I was going to her Facebook page to get the direct quote, but as of this writing Facebook seems to be down. So here is Governor Palin wrote in defense of Graham from Politico’s Ben Smith:

"Are we really so hyper-politically correct that we can’t abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith? What a shame. Yes, thing have changed."

Greg Sargent of Who Runs Gov’s blog The Plum Line writes that Palin also said (and he paraphrased), “Graham’s remarks were directed only at radical and violent Jihadists”. Sargent then provides these quoted Palin words (I assume from the Facebook page):

His comments in 2001 were aimed at those who are so radical that they would kill innocent people and subjugate women in the name of religion. Are we really so hyper-politically correct that we can’t abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith? What a shame.

From this Palin quote Sargent asserts she is mistaken in believing Graham’s Islam is evil words were only directed toward radical Islam:

Actually, no, his comments weren’t aimed only at those radical enough to kill and subjugate women. They were directed at all of Islam.

Then Sargent paraphrases a Palin comment which I assume is related to the revelation that Graham actually meant all Islam:

That’s news, and I hope it’s widely reported, with Graham’s full quote included in every media account.

Since I am uncertain on Greg Sargent’s views on former Governor Palin, I was having a difficult time deciding if he was criticizing her intelligence or reporting about her support of Graham’s statement about Islam is revealing as to what kind of person Palin is.

Here are my thoughts of Palin’s defense of Graham. First of all Graham is correct! Islam as a theopolitical ideology as directed by its prophet is evil. On the other hand Palin is probably quite aware that a majority Muslims do not follow the purist path of Islam which versions of radical Islam are trying to reform to bring back the Prophet’s Seventh century thinking back to the 21st century. Hmm … That would be a kind of an Islamic Back to the Future thing, would it not?

Although not a single Muslim will dare to expose Mohammed as a heinous wicked man who inspired one of the world’s greatest conquering forces to be maintained by a theopolitical ideology that included conversion by force, humiliation or death for non-converts, pillaging for wealth advancement and the exploitation of women for illicit sexual pleasures (either rape or sex slavery) as well as pedophilia. At best Mohammed was a true spiritual man of inner peace who became deranged by persecution that caused him to flee Mecca followed closely by the rejection of his Prophethood by Jews and Christians.

Palin’s awareness of the Muslim majority quiet attempts to distance themselves from their purist reformers undoubtedly led her to believe Graham’s Islamic denunciation was toward the Islamic purists. When approached about Graham’s wider net of thoughts of Islam, her thoughts were also undoubtedly a, “Who am I to correct the man of God?”

Palin’s public concerns are political and not theological. Last I heard Sarah Palin is of the Pentecostal persuasion which the Left for some reason likes to vilify. Since I am also of the Pentecostal (and Charismatic) persuasion I thus would guess Palin’s personal view is that Islam is inimical toward Christianity hence the so-called religion of peace could enter the realm of evil spiritually. Politically I doubt Palin would ever attach herself to a potential personal concern about Islam. The Left would twist personal thoughts of an evil Islam into a character assassination. Ask Franklin Graham.

Here is an example of an off the target remark:

Imagine if a leading American imam decried Christianity as an "evil" religion and then was invited to participate at a National Day of Prayer event at the Pentagon. How would conservative pundits, shouting heads, bloggers and politicians react?

This is the opening salvo of a David Corn article on Politics Daily.

Corn’s article and many similar denunciations of Graham and Palin in the belief that Islam is evil should be aware that the Saudi government provides literature support to most Mosques in America. A 95 page PDF article entitled, “SAUDI PUBLICATIONS ON HATE IDEOLOGY INVADE AMERICAN MOSQUES” demonstrates the venom of Muslim Clerics and Imams in America. Here is just a small sample of a large compendium of examples:

The prominent Saudi religious leader Sheik al-‘Athimein, in a fatwa found distributed in several cities in the United States [Document No. 52], refers to Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya, another fanatic medieval source and disciple of Ibn Taymiya. Using these rulings, the Saudi embassy instructs Muslims not to congratulate Christians at Christmas time, by for example uttering the words “Happy Holiday.” In fact, this abominable activity is “a practice more loathsome to God…than imbibing liquor, or murder, or fornication.” This implies that a Muslim wishing a Christian “Happy Holidays” on Christmas is an apostate and should be put to death. If Christians, continues the Saudi embassy source, greet Muslims on the occasion of Christian holy days, Muslims are to remain silent since all such festivities are either fabrications abhorrent to God, or have been superceded by the coming of Islam. No holiday banquets, no exchange of gifts, and none of the traditions of Western culture are permitted to Muslims living among unbelievers according to the Saudi publications. Such behavior on the part of Muslims has the added danger of instilling greater self-confidence in the hearts of the infidels and making them proud of their false religion [Document No. 52].

The apparent intent of the Saudi embassy document is to frighten Muslims in America into living lives aloof and alienated from the rest of society. Again the implication is that common politeness shown by the Muslim to a non-Muslim could be tantamount to infidelity or apostasy and deserve death.

Wake-up Mr. David Corn: Islam in America is not pleased with Christianity in America.

UPDATE: At the end of this writing Facebook finally came up or at least I was able to access it. Here is Sarah Palin’s exact Facebook wording:

My, have things changed. I was honored to have Rev. Franklin Graham speak at my Governor’s Prayer Breakfasts. His good work in Alaska’s Native villages and his charitable efforts all over the world stem from his servant’s heart. In my years of knowing him, I’ve never found his tempered and biblically-based comments to be offensive – in fact his words have been encouraging and full of real hope.

It’s truly a sad day when such a fine patriotic man, whose son is serving on his fourth deployment in Afghanistan to protect our freedom of speech and religion, is dis-invited from speaking at the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service. His comments in 2001 were aimed at those who are so radical that they would kill innocent people and subjugate women in the name of religion.

Are we really so hyper-politically correct that we can’t abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith? What a shame. Yes, things have changed.

Graham Correct – CAIR Wrong

John R. Houk
© April 23, 2010

Unindicted co-conspirator Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) influences Pentagon to rescind Franklin Graham’s invitation as lead speaker for National Day of Prayer military event.

CAIR’s national Executive Director Niwad Awad said this:

“Promoting one's own religious beliefs is something to be defended and encouraged, but other faiths should not be attacked or misrepresented in the process.”

Awad also is quoted as saying Graham’s invitation by the Pentagon would have sent “entirely the wrong message” at a time troops are in Muslim nations.

I wonder what message the Pentagon is sending troops in Muslim nations fighting Islamic terrorists when they find out CAIR has connections to the virulent terrorist organization Hamas? Do you think the troops might be upset a Christian minister was uninvited because he believes Islam is evil and that CAIR was cause of the rescension?

What message is the Pentagon sending to American citizens of whom a huge majority consider themselves Christians (ranging from devout to nominal) think when an Islamic terrorist supporting organization like CAIR nefariously supports the Hamas cause to kill all Jews and obliterate Israel’s existence?

From an Islamic perspective is Christianity evil?

O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliyâ' (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but Auliyâ' to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as Auliyâ', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allâh guides not those people who are the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong¬doers and unjust). (Al-Mâ'idah 5:51)

The Summary portion to the PDF Paper “The Islamic View of Christians: Qur’an and Hadith”:

Quran and Islamic Tradition present a multi-faceted picture of Christians, Christianity and the Christian revelation. Initially, at the start of Muhammad’s mission in AD 610, acceptance rather then rejection characterised Muslim attitudes towards Christianity. Christians are viewed as “People of the Book” (ahl al-kitab), commended for their religious devotion (Sura 5:82), and approved of for their faith in one God and creator. This apparent acceptance is closely linked with the hope which Muhammad cherished earlier, that Jews and Christians would believe in his divine mission. Only after he learned that both Jews and Christians rejected his claim to prophethood, with Christians holding on to the Trinity of God, Jesus’ sonship and his crucifixion, did Muhammad withdraw his earlier support. Thereafter he reasoned that they had deviated from their original revelation and fallen into grave error (2:116; 5:72-73; 4:157-158). This subsequent period is marked by an increase of Quranic utterances, which clearly distance and separate Islam from Christianity, warn Muslims against having close links with Christians, and even condemn them for their disbelief (98:6).

…

In spite of the sympathies Muslims have for the ‘People of the Book’ and their faith, the dominant voices of Islamic scholarship suggest distancing, disapproval and denial. This is even more fuelled by cultural and moral issues. Devout Muslims who may be members of a Muslim organisation or even be politically active may have more negative feelings towards Christians and distance themselves from Christians or even tell them openly their dislike. …

The answer to the question on the Islamic perspective of the evilness of Christianity is yes. To Islam (I guess not necessarily Muslims) Christianity is evil.

Does Christianity consider Islam evil?

5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:5-7 NKJV)

30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. (John 20: 30-31 NKJV)

18 For[a] I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add[b] to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away[c] his part from the Book[d] of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Rev. 22:18-19 NKJV)

18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the[a] Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.[b] 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
(1 John 2:18-23 NKJV)

Biblically, Islam is an evil abomination infested with an anti-Christ spirit.

Actual violent and abominable acts in Church history have been perpetrated on Muslims and perceived Christian heretics by those believing they were acting in the name of Christianity. Regardless of the historical facts, was the violence in line with Jesus Christ and the New Testament Scripture? NO!

The only violence condoned in Scriptures is the wars of defense and law enforcement for the sake of living a peaceable life.

1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, (1 Tim. 2:1-6 NKJV)

11 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
(1 Pet. 2:11-17 NKJV)

The central tenet of Christian Scripture ergo True Christianity:

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
(Matt. 22:36-40 NKJV)

Acts of violence perpetrated in the name of Christianity were committed contrary to the spirit of Christianity. The two Apostles John and James sons of Zebedee asked Jesus if they should call for fire from the Heavens to strike some Samaritans who insulted Jesus.

51 Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, 52 and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. 53 But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?”[a]
55 But He turned and rebuked them,[b] and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.”[c] And they went to another village.
(Luke 9:51-56 NKJV)

Now contrast this true spirit of Christianity and the true spirit of Islam and one can only the draw the conclusion that Franklin Graham’s position that “Islam is evil” is more accurate than not. The contrast also demonstrates that the rescinding of Franklin Graham as the primary speaker at an event for the military on the National Day of Prayer is an insult to the majority of Christians residing in America.
