Every Patriot's Resolve

Intro to ‘Every Patriot's Resolve’
Edited by John R. Houk

By Mark Alexander

During the two terms of George Washington’s Presidency there really no organized political parties as we see now in the present. There were Federalists that supported the passage and formation of the U.S. Constitution giving more political authority to a national government and the Anti-Federalists who believed the U.S. Constitution took on too much authority over the individual states that became the United States of America.

In a Mark Alexander post that I sense is a response to President Barack Hussein Obama’s usurpations exerting more authority over ‘We the People’ than even the Constitution intended with its Checks and Balances paradigm via Executive Orders (EO). Obama’s usage of Eos to by-pass Congress unconstitutionally has been a misuse of Executive power nearly from the beginning of the current President’s Administration now stretching to the end of his second term in Office. The most recent egregious EO as of this posting is the imposition of the President’s desire to control America’s guns way beyond the scope of the intentions of the Second Amendment.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. (2nd Amendment – FindLaw.com)

Frankly much of the teary-eyed press conference on his gun control EO was something I could agree with when it comes individuals purchasing guns. BUT my concerns are the details on individuals that would limit law abiding citizens from protecting themselves according to the Second Amendment. Also Obama did not provide a lot of details on the sellers of guns especially as it pertains to Joe American selling or giving a gun to a family member or to the next door neighbor Bubba American.

I listened to Judge Napolitano on Fox News tell some rules pertaining to an individual who doesn’t have a gun business but sells a gun. And I read a Napolitano article at Townhall.com about the requirements from doctors who listen to their patients talk about a gun. From that article:

He has also decreed that any licensee who fails to perform a background check on the person to whom the licensee has transferred a gun shall be guilty of a felony. Give a BB gun to your nephew on his 16th birthday without a federal license and you can go to prison.

By requiring physicians to report conversations with their patients about guns to the DHS, the president will be encouraging them to invade the physician-patient privilege; and I suspect that most doctors will ignore him.
 Under the Constitution, fundamental liberties (speech, a free press, worship, self-defense, travel and privacy, to name a few) are accorded the highest protection from governmental intrusion. One can only lose a fundamental right by READ ENTIRETY (Quote from page 2 - The Constitution, the President and Guns;
By Judge Andrew Napolitano; Townhall.com; 1/7/16)

I am convinced there are more unconstitutional threats to the Obama EO that I haven’t been able to find – yet. I wonder if Obama intends to bury the EO details under Executive Privilege.

Here is Mark Alexander’s post that shows respect for the Constitution, Patriotism and if you pay attention you will realize the Founding Fathers’ intentions about the Federal government and religious faith.

Every Patriot's Resolve
Timeless Advice for 2016

January 6, 2016

“Resolve to perform what you ought. Perform without fail what you resolve.” –Benjamin Franklin (1772)

This past week, my family’s ancestral grandfather clock rang in its 266th new year. This early American instrument, which towers above our dining room table, was set into motion in 1750 by its maker, Benjamin Chandlee, the eldest son of the first immigrant in my maternal family line.

That same year, Benjamin also completed an almost identical clock for Henry “Light-Horse Harry” Lee, a cavalry officer in George Washington’s revolutionary army, who bequeathed that clock to his son, Robert E. Lee. It now stands in the president’s house at Washington and Lee University. (In addition to being among the earliest and most respected American clockmakers, the Chandlees also produced George Washington’s surveying instruments.)

I mention this clock by way of making this point: Our New Year’s Eve celebration was not defined by celebrity fanfare in Times Square, but in the rich context of American history and the legacy of our family and Founders.

That legacy frames the mission of The Patriot Post’s advocacy for individual Liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and the promotion of free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values. As my friend Cal Thomas says, “The Patriot Post interprets current issues in the conservative context of American history — the immutable context of American Liberty.”

Unlike the now-ubiquitous Internet publications and blogs, every word of analysis our Patriot editors have posted since our inception has been tempered by historical context. That distinguishes The Patriot Post from every other news, policy and opinion source on the Web, with the exception of our friends at The Heritage Foundation, who were instrumental in our launch 20 years ago. That is also why we have been on the Web longer than virtually any other publication.

Today, we are charging into 2016. As anticipated, this year began with yet another leftist assault on American Liberty and its most fundamental assurance, “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” Barack Obama’s faux tears when announcing his latest constitutional insult would not have passed even the worst B-movie standards.

Of course, Obama and his Socialist Democratic Party statists know that, in the words of James Madison, “[T]he advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation … forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any.”

Those words ring truer today than ever — and it is precisely that “barrier against the enterprises of ambition” that leftists would most like to demolish.

And, as Madison’s Supreme Court appointee, Joseph Story, confirmed in his “Commentaries on the Constitution,” “The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them.”

As we set about laying the foundation for real change in 2016, I’ve chosen some wise words of advice from a few of our Founders that best serve as a beacon to all American Patriots!

From George Washington: “Labor to keep alive in your breast that little spark of celestial fire called conscience. … Do not conceive that fine Clothes make fine Men, any more than fine feathers make fine Birds. A plain genteel dress is more admired and obtains more credit than lace and embroidery in the Eyes of the judicious and sensible. … Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence; true friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks and adversity before it is entitled to the appellation. … Your love of Liberty - your respect for the laws - your habits of industry - and your practice of the moral and religious obligations, are the strongest claims to national and individual happiness. … We should never despair, our Situation before has been unpromising and has changed for the better, so I trust, it will again. If new difficulties arise, we must only put forth new Exertions and proportion our Efforts to the exigency of the times. … The name of American, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. … Our cause is noble; it is the cause of mankind! … We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die.”

From Thomas Jefferson: “Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time, who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done, if we are always doing. … It is of great importance to set a resolution, not to be shaken, never to tell an untruth. There is no vice so mean, so pitiful, so contemptible; and he who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and a third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world’s believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good disposition. … It is a happy circumstance in human affairs that evils which are not cured in one way will cure themselves in some other. … Adore God. Reverence and cherish your parents. Love your neighbor as yourself, and your country more than yourself. Be just. Be true. Murmur not at the ways of Providence.”

From Thomas Paine: “Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle, is a species of vice. … These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. … I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death. … The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind. … The Sun never shined on a cause of greater worth. … What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value.”

From Benjamin Franklin: “Have you something to do tomorrow; do it to-day. … Strive to be the greatest man in your country, and you may be disappointed. Strive to be the best and you may succeed: he may well win the race that runs by himself. … A Spoonful of Honey will catch more Flies than a Gallon of Vinegar. … Sloth, like Rust, consumes faster than Labour wears; while the used Key is always bright… Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time; for that’s the stuff life is made of. … Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. … Wish not so much to live long as to live well.”

The foes of Liberty should take note of these words from the Declaration of the Cause and Necessity of Taking up Arms (1775): “With hearts fortified with these animating reflections, we most solemnly, before God and the world, declare, that, exerting the utmost energy of those powers, which our beneficent Creator hath graciously bestowed upon us, the arms we have compelled by our enemies to assume, we will, in defiance of every hazard, with unabating firmness and perseverance employ for the preservation of our liberties; being with one mind resolved to die freemen rather than to live as slaves.”

Patriots, in this presidential election year, I invoke this timeless wisdom from George Washington’s farewell address (1796): “Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism.” Indeed, there are among even the ranks of Republican presidential contenders some pretenders. Caveat Emptor! The future of Liberty hinges on the ability and willingness of grassroots Patriots to distinguish between the genuine article and the false prophets.

Finally, a word from Ronald Reagan, the man who lifted me, when a young college student, from the liberal abyss, and called millions in my generation into reverence for the fundamentals of American Liberty: “Live each day to the fullest. Live each day with enthusiasm, optimism and hope. If you do, I am convinced that your contribution to this wonderful experiment we call America will be profound.”

Thank you for sustaining The Patriot Post’s advocacy of Liberty by your support of our mission and operations budget in 2015!

Biden Hails the 23 Gun Control Steps Obama Took on His Own

Biden Hails the 23 Gun Control Steps Obama Took on His Own

By Susan Jones
December 3, 2013 - 10:33 AM

(CNSNews.com) - On Monday, invoking the Dec. 14 "tragedy in Newtown," Vice President Joe Biden told Americans, "You have my word that the President and I are doing everything we can to make sure no parent loses their child to gun violence."

And he admitted that they're doing it "on our own," without Congress.

"And so even after a minority of senators blocked commonsense legislation to reduce gun violence this spring, we're pushing forward," he said.

"Now, it's not enough to take these steps on our own -- we still need Congress to pass comprehensive legislation to reduce gun violence. We need expanded background checks, and we need to create serious penalties for gun trafficking. There is no question that these kinds of measures would protect our kids and keep our communities safer."

Biden hailed the 23 "executive actions" President Obama laid out in January to reduce "gun violence." Biden said the administration has either completed or made significant progress on all of them.

"No parent should ever face the horror of the scene at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Or a movie theater in Aurora. Or a temple in Oak Creek. Or the campus at Virginia Tech. We've seen too much gun violence as a country. And if there's even one thing we can do to save a life, it is our most sacred duty to try. That's where I stand," said Biden, who may be contemplating a run for president in 2016.

The anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting is a week from Saturday, and Connecticut officials are expected to release recordings of the 911 calls on Wednesday.

Biden was in Asia when the White House released his tough-on-guns message, which was signed "Joe."

The message links to a list of the "progress we've made" on the 23 executive actions. Here are a few of them:

-- "Begun to address unnecessary legal barriers that prevent states from reporting information about those prohibited from having guns."

-- "Issued a presidential memorandum requiring federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations."

-- "Took steps to maximize enforcement efforts."

-- "Helped law enforcement avoid returning guns to the wrong hands."

-- "Published data on lost and stolen guns."

-- "Reviewed categories of dangerous people prohibited from having guns."

You can see the full list of executive actions here.

On Tuesday, coincidentally, the House Judiciary Committee was holding a hearing on the president's "constitutional duty to faithfully execute the laws."

Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn.) told Fox News on Tuesday that she and other members of Congress are "appalled at the president's actions -- they are clearly unconstitutional." Bachmann said the Constitution limits the president's power -- "even though the president doesn't act that way."

Bachmann said Obama can't "unilaterally make these decisions, Congress is a part of the government as well, you're not a king, you're not a dictator" -- even though he sometimes acts that way.

The list of Republican complaints includes Obama's unilateral changes to the Affordable Care Act, which Bachmann called "political management"; and his use of "prosecutorial discretion" in determining which illegal aliens to deport.

Obama Signs 23 Executive Orders On Guns

BHO signs 23 EOs gun control
I posted a Matthew Staver essay on Obama’s “19” Executive Orders that was actually written before President BHO went public with ignoring the Second Amendment. Looks like the number was a little off. Barack Hussein Obama went on to issue 23 EOs in the name of gun control believing ignorantly that Executive fiat will stop the massacres and violent criminals. All Obama is doing is preventing Americans from protecting themselves from mass murderers and violent criminals.

Here is another email I am posting that is from Conservative Action Alerts (CAA) that will give you plenty of opportunities to send a CAA fax to the White House expressing your displeasure. At first glance the fax blast sounds awesome but the link sends you a page that appears needs a donation of any size to send that fax. Nevertheless, the email is a very awesome essay and well worth the read.

Obama Signs 23 Executive Orders On Guns

Sent by Conservative Action Alerts
Sent: 1/17/2013 9:12 AM

ALERT: Obama signs executive orders to accomplish national gun control. Act Now and Fax Congress: Tell them to Refuse any and all forms of Gun Control - including Executive Orders!

Conservative American,

Yesterday, we warned that Obama was planning on signing nineteen executive orders today. It happened, several orders were signed this morning. The thing is, we didn't get nineteen orders as reports held - we got twenty-three!

And they aren't yet even available for review. They are no-where on the White House website, and a representative from the White House told Conservative Action Alerts today that they should be available "in a few days."

This is Obama's transparency.

Congress must act to counter every single one of these orders! They have the power to do it, and they must take action.

The White House's "rationale" for expansive executive action is simply because it is easier to accomplish - there is less "political difficulty" because Congress is bypassed altogether.

Among other things, the executive actions could give the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention power to conduct studies and national research on guns; they may also establish stricter federal and state gun databases (in other words, establish mandate a gun-registry).

Not surprisingly, gun-grabbing politicians pushed Obama hard to take as much action on gun-control as he can. Today they succeeded.

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) told Vice President Biden "to do as much by executive order as possible." Further, the chairman of the House Democrats' Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA), said that an executive ban on magazine and the establishment of across-the-board background checks would be as efficient as an outright assault weapons ban - and, again, such would not require Congress.

Not only will the enforcement of the twenty-three freshly-signed presidential orders be expensive to carry-out - like most everything Obama is involved in - but they will deprive Americans of their Constitutional liberty to "keep and bear arms."

According to former U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese III, any executive action opposed to the Constitution is grounds for impeachment. Meese says, "It would not be legal. It would not be constitutional. And, indeed, if [Obama] tried to override the Second Amendment in any way, I believe it would be an impeachable offense."

Obama must not be left unchallenged on this: the right "to keep and bear arms" is a natural right codified in our Supreme Law. Neither Obama nor anyone in the federal government has any legitimate authority to destroy it!

Congress must reject any and all forms of federal gun-control as they are in direct opposition to the Second Amendment! Congress must fight the coming Assault Weapons Ban in the Senate, and they must fight all twenty-three of Obama's Executive Orders!

"The president is going to act... There are executive orders, executive action that can be taken. We haven't decided what that is yet. But we're compiling it all with the help [of] the attorney general and all the rest of the cabinet members as well as legislative action we believe is required." - Joe Biden

So the question is: can executive orders be stopped?

An executive order - which carries the full force of law - is made a fact literally at the stroke of the President's pen; it is done without debate and without the consent of Congress or the American people. (That is precisely why they are so dangerous when used.)

The executive order, though it exists by precedent, is an unconstitutional mechanism that makes a joke of our government and its so-called "separated powers." Congress is vested with the power to write laws, not the President.

Congress must reject any and all executive orders that would succeed in disarming law-abiding Americans.

The good news is: Congress does have power to fight executive orders, and we must demand they do just that seeing that Obama wants to accomplish arms control through by his own command.

There are three ways that Congress can act to oppose Obama's "power of the pen" - first, they can overturn any executive order by a 2/3 majority vote in both chambers (like reversing a veto); second, they can introduce legislation that would interfere with an order; and, third, they can refuse to appropriate funds for the execution of the order.

We must demand the U.S. Congress to - in addition to refusing any piece of federal gun-control legislation - flex their muscles and fight the Executive Branch now that Obama has increased gun-control by executive order.

Barack Obama told Meet the Press that he is committed to not let the opportunity for increased gun-control "drift away" after people begin to shift their attention away from December's Connecticut shooting, the event that gun-grabbing politicians have been using to justify their tyrannical ends. Obama said,

"The question then becomes whether we are actually shook up enough by what happened [in Sandy Hook] that it does not just become another one of these routine episodes where it gets a lot of attention for a couple of weeks and then it drifts away... It certainly won't feel like that to me. This is something that, you know, that was the worst day of my presidency. And it's not something that I want to see repeated."

He also committed to a one-year time-frame, saying, "I'd like to get it done in the first year. I will put forward a very specific proposal based on the recommendations that Joe Biden's task force is putting together as we speak. And so this is not something that I will be putting off."

Hoping to convince the American people to befriend disarmament, Obama claims that dismantling the Second Amendment will make schoolchildren safer. We know he truly doesn't believe such nonsense - otherwise he'd have all of his personal bodyguards disarmed! (Which we know he'll never do; in fact, on January 10th he signed a law that gives him and his wife secret service protection for life.)

On top of voicing his support for the Feinstein Ban (and other attempts to remove guns from the homes of law-abiding Americans), Barack Obama has a "hidden" gun-control agenda that he may accomplish through the ATF.

According to Conservative Action Alerts contributor Jim Kouri, the Obama Administration may "order the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to take the classification step. Some gun-grabbers view the designation of Street Sweeper shotguns as Title 2 firearms during the Clinton administration as precedent for such a move."

Obama will never disarm his protectors, yet he wants to disarm the American People from protecting themselves. What dangerous, evil, and unconstitutional hypocrisy!

Obama doesn't think the Feinstein ban goes far enough; the Democratic Senator's "Assault Weapons Ban" is only one piece of their overall disarmament agenda.

The Washington Post reports:

"The White House is weighing a far broader and more comprehensive approach to curbing the nation's gun violence than simply reinstating an expired ban on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition, according to multiple people involved in the administration's discussions." (emphasis ours)

As we mentioned above, President Obama appointed Vice President Joe Biden to lead a special, blue-ribbon group to investigate gun-related violence and propose "solutions."

So far, the committee is pushing for the following:

§  universal background checks for gun buyers,

§  a centralized gun registry/database that would track the movement and sales of all privately-held firearms nationwide,

§  more stringent "mental health" checks, and

§  strengthening gun-free school zones and related penalties.

Do these laws sound like they belong in a free society? Not in the least.

But what else should expect from such a committee? Biden's disarmament gang is made of, and takes opinions from, some of the most anti-Second Amendment individuals in the country: New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, The Brady Campaign's Dan Gross, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., Education Secretary Arne Duncan, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

This is all to show that there are strong efforts to disarm the American people through "legal" - but unlawful - means. These efforts aren't "solutions" ... they are chains on a free people.

What's more, Biden's blue-ribbon "task force" is a typical act of Obama law-breaking itself because it violates the Federal Advisory Committee Act, a law that governs "any committee, board, commission, council, conference, panel, task force, or other similar group." The Biden group violates this law in at least two ways: first, it has not been made subject to public scrutiny and no reports have been filed regarding its proceedings; and, second, the Biden group was created the day after Sandy Hook, although the law requires any such group to file its existence 15 days in advance of their first meeting.

It is clear that neither Obama nor Biden seem to care about the law - they care more about debarring law-abiding Americans from the ownership of firearms.

In addition to the Obama Administration's anti-gun agenda, members of Congress are also poised to take away our rights: consider the Feinstein Weapons Ban.

California's Diane Feinstein - author of the 1994 Assault Weapons - has long been an enemy of gun-owners and the right to self-defense, an American principle. Senator Feinstein, keeping in line with Rahm Emanuel's rule of thumb to "never waste a crisis," almost immediately began calling for increased gun control after the terrible event in at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut.

Feinstein expressly stated that she will introduce sweeping gun control legislation the first day the 113th Congress is assembled. She said,

"On the first day of the new Congress, I intend to introduce a bill stopping the sale, transfer, importation and manufacturing of assault weapons as well as large ammunition magazines, strips and drums that hold more than 10 rounds."

She also added that she has already been "gathering support" for such legislation in both the House and the Senate.

What this means is that a weapons ban could be a cold, hard fact this month! In fact, on January 22 the Senate will begin their new legislative session.

Remember, in 1994 it only took one day for Congress and President Clinton to "legally" remove guns from the hands and homes of law-abiding Americans!

Feinstein's resuscitation of her former assault weapons ban has wide support from Democrats. Also, just so you are aware, Feinstein didn't scratch this bill up in response to the Connecticut shooting; no, she has been working on it for over a year waiting for the opportune time to ram it through!

Senator Frank Lautenberg, as we can expect, is "optimistic" about a Feinstein-led Assault Weapons Ban, saying, "I think we can get something done." Schumer, like Feinstein, wants to see weapons banned, clip-sizes limited, and more paperwork required to purchase guns.

"The purpose of this bill is to get the weapons of war off the streets of our cities." - Senator Feinstein

Democrat Representative Jerrold Nadler of New York believes that the nation will support stronger gun-control, especially if Barack Obama "exploits" what happened in Sandy Hook. The New York Rep. said on MSNBC that "These incidents, these horrible, horrible incidents ... are happening more frequently, and they will continue to happen more and more frequently until someone with the bully pulpit - and that means the president - takes leadership and pushes Congress."

Obama wasted no time in voicing his strong, "active" support for national legislation curbing gun-ownership. It is likely, now that Obama is approaching his final term that he will more vehemently assert gun-control. White House spokesperson Jay Carney has already suggested that the president will support gun-control efforts - in addition to Feinstein's - including laws to eliminate what he referred to as the ‘gun show loophole' relating to paperwork and high-capacity magazine sales. And we have Biden's most recent hint: the executive order.

We must make our voices heard and tell Congress to reject the coming Feinstein Weapons Ban, and any other piece of legislation (or executive order) that would destroy the Second Amendment!

The Fruit of Propaganda:

It is a sad fact that America today is divided over the right to self-defense.
Rather than call into question the environment in which the shooting took place - a gun-free zone, where self-defense is prohibited - so many mindlessly flock to liberal slogans like "less guns equals less violence."

A White House petition demanding "immediate" gun control was created and gathered over 80,000 signatures in less than a day, while the petition only needed 25,000 to be seriously considered. The petition now holds over 194,000 names.

More than this, some of the anti-gun rhetoric being asserted by some are violent - even outright threats. Facebook posts, blogs, and Twitter have been used to carry messages like "murder every NRA member" or "get every member of the NRA to stand in a circle, aim & shoot!" Some people have also called for the murder of the NRA's president, David Keene.

This is all to say the some of our fellow Americans would happily support more gun control - they already are organizing and, as we have seen, both active and vocal.

Folks like these are calling and writing their Senator asking for their neighbors to be disarmed through increased gun control. These individuals are pushing the Feinsteins, Bloombergs, and RINOs like Scott Brown, to support state and federal bans on assault weapons.

Now is the time for patriotic Americans to fight this liberal, anti-gun rhetoric and speak out! We must make sure that Senate and Representative Offices are getting twice or three times as many calls, letters, and faxes against gun control as they are for it.

What has happened to the Bill of Rights?

The Second Amendment is a right, and "laws" that oppose it are unlawful and dangerous. There is no other way to say it.

Our founders were able to declare independence from the King England only because they were armed with modern weaponry.

Our Constitution - the Supreme Law of the Land - included the Second Amendment provision to "keep and bear arms" to ensure that the new American government could not disarm the people.

The right to bear arms is an essential part of liberty and a free society. Yes, our forefathers knew the importance of an armed citizenry as a check against big government and tyranny. Further, they knew that individuals should always be free to protect themselves, their family, and their property. That's why they protected it in law.

Those who were armed were not considered offensive, violent, or malevolent in any way - in fact, early Americans considered defense to be a God-given right to secure households and keep evil at bay in society. Weapons were not held for aggression, but to resist aggression!

Right now there is a multitude of ideological aggressors wanting to destroy the Second Amendment by banning certain weapons, limiting access to ammunition, and increasing the bureaucratic "paperwork" required to purchase guns.

These aggressors are in the Congress and the Whitehouse ... and they must be stopped!

The Second Amendment must never be Limited:

One of the arguments for the reinstatement of an Assault Weapons Ban is that it only restricts "some" weapons, namely those of a military-grade, while leaving other weapons unaffected. Michael Bloomberg and Diane Feinstein claims they only are attack so-called "weapons of war."

Here is the problem... the Second Amendment protects such weapons, while anti-gunners want to see them "off the streets of our cities."

You see, anti-gun politicians don't understand (or care about) the purpose of the Second Amendment. Thomas Mullen of the Washington Times comments:

"Having weapons of war on the streets is the whole point of the 2nd Amendment. The amendment wasn't drafted to ensure that Americans could hunt. It wasn't drafted so that Americans could protect themselves, although the natural right to defend one's life was never as compromised as it is in the modern gun control era.

They weren't out to confiscate hunting rifles, ‘fer squirrels and sech,' either. They intended to confiscate a store of arms that would outfit the average colonist with weapons roughly equivalent to the average British infantryman.

That's why the 2nd Amendment was written, to ensure that the government's army would never have superior firepower to the people."

Yes, the Second Amendment protects all weapons, even so-called "weapons of war." Again, this is not controversial - it is simply what the founders gave us to preserve our free society.

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." - Second Amendment.

What has happened to America? Political Correctness - which is quite incorrect - is costing us our freedoms. Bad utopian ideas that suggest society can abolish violence, aggression, and death by simply removing guns is an argument even child wouldn't believe - yet so many go along with this liberal nonsense and are willing to toss their and their neighbors' rights away!

It's time to fight the liberal, anti-gun propaganda and demand Congress to defend, not destroy, our right to bear arms!

About Us

It’s hard to say when Conservative Action Alerts officially began –
Initially, Conservative Action Alerts (CAA) was limited to email alone – it was collection of conservative, grassroots activists who wanted to know how they could best take political action. The group formed out of frustration with Washington’s elect and their failed, unconstitutional policies.

Before we developed our blast faxes, we organized phone rallies – perhaps we could call them “blast calls” – that have actually shut down the switchboards in Washington.  We have also organized and supported live political rallies and have assisted a number of conservative causes.

Over time, we made more and more connections – not only to those which we wished to keep accountable on the Hill – but to other conservative groups with the similar goals.
