Google+ pseudonymous (I assume) author Hakuna Matata Nia Nia extols Rayhana bint Zahd as a virtuous Jewish woman forced into sex-slavery after Mohammed executed all the conquered males (pubescent thru elderly) of the Jewish-Arabian tribe Banu Qurayza. The Banu Qurayza women either became sex-slave concubines or converted to Islam and became wives. Hakuna goes with the Quran account which states that Rayhana refused marriage to Mohammed out of respect to her murdered-decapitated husband. However, Hadith traditions paint the story that Rayhana at first refused marriage to Mohammed but ultimately caved in and converted to Islam and married the pseudo-prophet. Muslim tradition extols her as a Muslim wife in the Hadith.

[10] Amongst those who had lost their husbands in the massacre was Rayhana bint Zayd b. Umar b. Khinafa of Banu Nadir. She had been married to a man named al-Hakim from Banu Qurayza and had now become a widow. Islamic sources say that she was so young and beautiful that she impressed Muhammad, who immediately offered her the opportunity of converting to Islam and marrying him. “If you chose Allah and his Messenger,” the Prophet told her, “I shall take you for myself.” However, Rayhana had loved and respected her husband very much and said, “I will not exchange him for any other man” (Ibn Sa‘d: 8.129- 30; al-Salihi, 231-32). Furthermore, she clung to her Judaism, refusing to convert to Islam, saying that she preferred to live the life of a slave as long as she stayed a Jew. Nevertheless, Muhammad did not relent and she agreed to consider his offer (Ibn Sa‘d: 8.131; Ibn Hisham: 2.693).

[11] It did not take long for Rayhana to decide that she was better off converting to Islam than living the life of a slave in Hijaz. Ibn Sa’iya informed the Prophet, when he was sitting with his friends, that Rayhana had converted to Islam. The Prophet commanded her release and married her immediately. `Umar Ibn al-Hakam narrated: "The Messenger of God freed Rayhana Bint Zaid Ibn`Amr Ibn Khunaqa. She had been married to a loving and honouring husband. She said, 'I shall never have a husband after him.' She was beautiful. When Banu Quraiza were taken captive, the booty was shown to the Messenger of God, and she was among the captives that were shown him so he commanded her to be set aside. He used to have a choice from each booty. She herself narrated, 'When I was set aside, he chose me and sent me to the house of Umm al-Mundsir Bint Qais for some days till he had the captives killed and the spoils distributed. Then the Messenger of God entered upon me, and when I was too shy to meet him, he called me and sat me between his hands. He said, "If you choose God and His Messenger, the Messenger of God will choose you for himself." I said, "I choose God and His Messenger." So when I surrendered, he freed me, married me, and gave me twelve ounces [of gold] as a bridal gift as he would do with his wives. In spite of the varying viewpoints, the reality is Rayhana became a widow after Mohammed’s murderous rampage in which she had to decide between sex-slavery misery and a better life as the Muslim wife of the pseudo-prophet.

Another victim of Muhammad was Rayhana, a 15 year old girl from the tribe of Banu Quraiza. Muhammad massacred all the men of that tribe. Then women were brought to him to pick and he chose Rayhana.

Rayhana never married Muhammad and unlike Juwairiyah and Safiyah never feigned being a Muslim to have an easier life. She preferred to remain a sex slave rather the wife of the murderer of her father, brothers and uncles...

Her husband was one of the 900 Qurayza men whom Muhammad beheaded in April 627. He enslaved all the women and selected Rayhana for himself because she was the most beautiful. When she refused to marry him, he kept her as a concubine instead. She died shortly before Muhammad in 632.

"The apostle had chosen one of their women for himself, Rayhana bint Amr . . . one of the women of . . . Qurayza, and she remained with him until she died, in his power. The apostle had proposed to marry and put a veil on her, but she said: "Nay, leave me in your power, for that will be easier for me and for you." So he left her. The massacre of the unarmed Banu Qurayza tribe is one of the most heinous crime in the history of the world. Although it will take pages to write about it. A couple of passages and narrations from the most authentic sources on Islam to give the perspective.

The sentence: Ibn Ishaq says that the number may have been as high as 800-900 (p. 464), for the punishment of Death by decapitation of men and pubescent boys, and enslavement for the women and children


Muhammad was wise enough to have six clans execute two Jews each in order to stop any blood-feuds. The rest of the executions were probably carried out by Muhammad’s fellow Emigrants from Mecca, as the heads and bodies were dragged into trenches in the business district of Medina.

How did the executioners decide on which boy to slaughter or leave alive? This hadith gives the obvious answer.

Narrated Atiyyah al-Qurazi: I was among the captives of Banu [tribe] Qurayzah. They (the Companions) examined us, and those who had begun to grow hair (pubes) were killed, and those who had not were not killed. I was among those who had not grown hair. (Abu Dawud; see Ibn Ishaq, p. 466)

This next hadith indicates that a woman was delirious. She was killed.

Narrated Aisha . . . No woman of Banu [tribe] Qurayzah was killed except one. She was with me, talking and laughing on her back and belly (extremely), while the Apostle of Allah . . . was killing her people with the swords. Suddenly a man called her name: Where is so-and-so? . . . I asked: What is the matter with you? She said: I did a new act. [Aisha] said: The man took her and beheaded her. [Aisha] said: I will not forget that she was laughing extremely although she knew that she would be killed. (Abu Dawud)

American Left can be seen in Nazi History

I have noticed over the years that Lefties (aka Liberals, Progressives, Left Wingers, Moonbats, etc.) have smeared Conservatives as Nazis or Hitler-equivalents. The irony is Hitler’s Nazism was a Left Wing Movement that employed the nationalist-corporatism of Fascism which is ultimately State control of the industrial complex.

Karl Marx’s Communism envisioned Industrial workers rising up in revolt over the means of production and who controls those means. Which ultimately played out of State ownership of everything from property to the industrial complex under the illusion that the people (aka workers or the proletariat) controlled society’s living conditions and the mode of production. In essence the State assumed the role of the people by proxy.

Nazism was not so much interested in the illusion of who controls production as much as every citizen serves the needs of the State paying homage to the elites of State that made the lives of true citizens prosperous. Consider how the word Nazi Party gained its appellation:

The Wikipedia entry for “Nazi Party” goes into greater detail if you are interested. At Wikipedia the focus is more on nationalism combined with racism more than Socialism.

Either way, Nazism and Communism were political vehicles to control the masses under the direction of an elitist oligarchy.

Matt Barber has written an essay that I located on Constitution.com highlighting that Adolf Hitler was an anti-Christian pretending to be a Christian with Left Oriented Socialism in the backdrop.

Who does that sound like today in 21^st century America? Since Barber doesn’t mention any modern day similarities, allow me to name a couple:

Yes, there have been evil men who have done evil things in the name of false Christianity. To a limited degree, Adolf Hitler was one such man. Still, and as even he frequently admitted outside the public eye, he was no Christian.

As a counterweight to stigma associated with the tens of millions slaughtered in the 20th century alone under the atheist regimes of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, et al., the secular left is quick to thunder, “But what about Hitler? He was a Christian!”

Bad news, kids. Herr Führer was your guy, too.

“I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie,” Hitler confessed (audio transcribed in “Hitler’s Table Talk” [1941-44]). “It would always be disagreeable for me to go down to posterity as a man who made concessions in this field [to be labeled a Christian].”

Did Adolf Hitler ever call himself a Christian? Certainly. He did so, and as he would later admit, for the singular purpose of disseminating political propaganda.

“To whom should propaganda be addressed?” he wrote. “It must be addressed always and exclusively to the masses. … The whole art consists in doing this so skillfully that everyone will be convinced that the fact is real.”

The Nazi Germans of the 1930s and ’40s are not alone in swallowing Hitler’s Christianese-peppered puffery. Today’s secular- “progressive” establishment likewise bandies about a handful of carefully crafted Hitlerian quotes released for public consumption. His “pro-Christian” proclamations in “Mein Kampf” and elsewhere, for instance, were universally a perversion of biblical Christianity leveraged for the sole purpose of justifying the extermination of the Jewish people.

“My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter,” he wrote. “In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge [the Jews] to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. … For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.”

That was the extent of Hitler’s plastic “Christianity.” The Bible, always taken out of context, served as a twisted weapon to justify the mass slaughter of over 11 million Jews, Christians, disabled people and other “undesirables.”

In reality Hitler insisted, “In the long run, National Socialism and religion will no longer be able to exist together.”

What Brutal Hitler and Softer Modern Day Progressives Share in Common

Sounds an awful lot like today’s American church-state separatists. Roger Baldwin, founder of the ACLU, for example, held, “I am for socialism, disarmament, and, ultimately, for abolishing the state itself. … I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.”

Indeed, the ACLU’s promotional materials similarly advocate anti-Christian intolerance and mirror Hitler’s directive that, “Socialism and religion will no longer be able to exist together.” “The message of the Establishment Clause is that religious activities must be treated differently from other activities to ensure against governmental support for religion,” imagines the “American” so-called “civil liberties” union.

That’s viewpoint discrimination and it’s unconstitutional.

This is secular socialism in a nutshell. It’s a religion, and its devotees, be they Nazi Germans or American Leftists, are Communist Manifesto-thumping fundamentalists.

“There is something very unhealthy about Christianity,” Hitler opined. “As far as we are concerned, we’ve succeeded in chasing the Jews from our midst and excluding Christianity from our political life. … The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity’s illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. … Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless.”

Indeed, Hitler’s robust anti-Christian hatred lives on beyond the death of the Third Reich. Modern-day progressives like Hillary Clinton, though, tend to take a kinder, gentler, more surreptitiously totalitarian approach: “Rights have to exist in practice – not just on paper,” the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee recently said in the context of some phantom “right” to exterminate undesirable infants. “Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”

Yikes. “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”

While Hitler was more direct, he nonetheless shared Hillary’s secular socialist vision: “We’ll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State. We shall continue to preach the doctrine of National Socialism, and the young will no longer be taught anything but the truth.”

Sound familiar? Progressive “truth,” of course, invariably means Christian torment.

Hitler, borrowing from socialist icon Karl Marx, said that all Germans must “free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let’s be the only people who are immunized against the disease.” Marx, a hero to the secular socialist left, famously called religion, “the opium of the people.”

Hitler a Christian? No chance.

Anti-Semitism, Islam and a Dash of Darwin

Moreover, like the preponderance of today’s similarly anti-Semitic secular progressives, Hitler, too, was an apologist for Islam. As America’s own Dear Leader has done, Hitler partnered with Iran, present-day “Palestine” and other Islamist regimes in the shared goal of eliminating the Jews:

“The world had fallen into the hands of the Jews, so gutless a thing was Christianity!” he fumed. “Then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism, that cult which glorifies heroism and which opens the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. Then the Germanic races would have conquered the world. Christianity alone prevented them from doing so!”

Hitler also parroted the godless ideology of modern atheists. Like so many of today’s secular progressives, he was an avowed materialist, neo-Darwinian evolutionist and hardhearted God-denier: “When understanding of the universe has become widespread, when the majority of men know that the stars are not sources of light but worlds, perhaps inhabited worlds like ours, then the Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity.”

“Christianity, of course, has reached the peak of absurdity,” he said. “And that’s why one day its structure will collapse. Science has already impregnated humanity. Consequently, the more Christianity clings to its dogmas, the quicker it will decline.”

Two thousand years and still waiting.

And so Hitler endeavored to assist “natural selection” and, as he wrote in “Mein Kampf,” “establish an evolutionary higher stage of being.” He placed his hope in Germany’s youth because they were “absolutely indifferent in the matters of religion.”

A beloved Hitler Youth marching song captured the Führer’s heart on matters of Christ and Christianity:

We follow not Christ, but Horst Wessel,
Away with incense and Holy Water,
The Church can go hang for all we care,
The Swastika brings salvation on Earth.

Today’s progressive “social justice” warriors are angling for a dystopian, Swastika-free repeat. Their hope, too, lies in the youth (witness the socialism-fueled anarchist insurgence occurring on college campuses nationwide).

Like then, progressive secular socialists endeavor to rule the world.

And “Christianity alone,” to update Hitler’s own words, will “prevent them from doing so.”

D.A. Admits Breaking the Law When Indicting Planned Parenthood Investigator David Daleiden

An attorney representing Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Josh Schaffer, has admitted that he pressured the Harris County District Attorney’s office to refocus a grand jury investigation away from his client and onto pro-life journalists David Daleiden and his associate, Sandra Merritt, of the Center for Medical Progress. Schaeffer also confessed that Assistant District Attorney Sunni Mitchell did an “end around” the State Attorney General Ken Paxton in order to share sealed video evidence with Planned Parenthood.

The grand jury later returned indictments against Daleiden and Merritt. Shaffer stated publicly that he was informed by the District Attorney’s office that no investigation of Planned Parenthood ever took place.

The admissions came in an affidavit filed as an exhibit by Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson to a brief responding to the defendants’ motion to quash the indictments against Daleiden and Merritt.

After the release last year of undercover videos taken by Daleiden, lead investigator for the Center for Medical Progress, and his associate, Susan Merritt, Paxton ordered Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson to launch an investigation into allegations that Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC) was illegally selling aborted baby remains for profit and altering abortion procedures to ensure that marketable organs would be available for sale.

At the “suggestion” of Schaffer, the grand jury never investigated Planned Parenthood, but instead turned its attention to Daleiden and Merritt.

Attorney General Paxton had instructed the Harris County DA’s office not to share evidence with Planned Parenthood – including CMP videos – that was obtained through the grand jury process.

Schaeffer stated in his affidavit that he immediately began to seek the unedited videos taken by the CMP from Assistant Attorney General Sunni Mitchell. Shaffer stated:

As soon as I made contact with HCDAO prosecutors in August of 2015, I began requesting the unedited video footage. Sunni Mitchell, the prosecutor who was leading the HCDAO investigation, said that she was not opposed to giving me that footage. However, she said that the HCDAO did not have any video footage other than what was available on YouTube. I suggested that she request the unedited video footage from the Attorney General’s Office. In time, I learned that she obtained it from that Office. However, I was told that the Attorney General’s Office agreed to give it to the HCDAO on the condition that the HCDAO not give it to PPGC. Mitchell told me that she would try to obtain the footage by other means.

“Schaffer essentially has admitted to collusion with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, then denied that collusion existed,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and a founding board member of the Center for Medical Progress. “He obviously thinks his weak attempt at a ‘Jedi mind trick’ will keep him out of trouble. He’s wrong.”

Mitchell eventually obtained the video from Murphy Klasing, one of Daleiden’s attorneys, who mistakenly released the video. Once Klasing realized that the video was under seal in Federal Court, he requested that Mitchell return the footage. Mitchell informed Klasing that she had already given it to PPGC and the National Abortion Federation, who was suing Daleiden in Federal Court.

Mitchell clearly understood that the Attorney General’s Office did not want the video to fall into Planned Parenthood’s hands. By requesting it from another source and supplying it to Planned Parenthood, she knowingly disobeyed the Attorney General’s directive and undermined any attempt to prosecute them in the future.

Cozy Left Wing Relationships

Planned Parenthood’s attorney also admitted that at first Mitchell told him that she did not know the identity of the woman in the CMP videos that went under the pseudonym of Susan Tannenbaum. Schaffer stated that it was he who supplied Mitchell with Tannenbaum’s true name, Sandra Merritt, which enabled Mitchell to obtain indictments against her as well as Daleiden.

“We have always questioned the ability of Devon Anderson and Sunni Mitchell to conduct unbiased investigations of abortion providers after they allowed Douglas Karpen to go free in 2013,” said Newman. “In Daleiden’s case, it is clear that they were working with Planned Parenthood all along to build a spurious criminal case against pro-life activists in order to protect Planned Parenthood from prosecution. This makes the indictments against Daleiden and Merritt irreparably tainted and they should be dropped immediately.”

Mitchell was tapped by Anderson to lead a 2013 grand jury investigation into allegations brought by Operation Rescue against abortionist Douglas Karpen that he had intentionally murdered infants born alive after failed abortions at his two Houston abortion facilities. Under Mitchell’s direction and despite eyewitness and photographic evidence, the grand jury controversially failed to indict Karpen. Operation Rescue later learned that Karpen was represented by one of Devon Anderson’s closest friends, Chip Lewis, who is also her largest campaign contributor.

In her responding brief opposing the defense motion to quash the tainted indictments, Anderson makes one more startling admission. She acknowledged that her office violated the law when it made public Daleiden and Merritt’s indictments before they were served or placed in custody or under bond.

However, Anderson attempts to downplay the violation as “harmless” and a “technical violation” that is “inconsequential.” She appeals to the court to simply ignore this violation.

“Any time due process is not followed in the course of a criminal prosecution, it is anything but ‘harmless,’” said Newman. “It dangerously erodes the ability of the public to have confidence in the competency and honesty of the prosecutor’s office.”

Operation Rescue has repeatedly reported on evidence that raises suspicions of corruption in the Harris County District Attorney’s office and has called for Devon Anderson’s resignation along with the appointment of an independent special prosecutor to reopen the case against Planned Parenthood.

A hearing on the motion to quash is set for July 26, 2016. At that time, Daleiden’s Houston attorney Jared Woodfill plans to put Planned Parenthood’s Josh Schaffer on the stand.

“The collusion between the DA and Planned Parenthood lawyers will be flushed out during this hearing,” Woodfill told Breitbart Texas. “We will put Planned Parenthood’s lawyer on the stand and will expose the witch hunt that ended up with the indictment of my client but let baby part selling Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast get off scot-free.”

But whether or not Woodfill’s plan succeeds remains to be seen. The judge that will oversee that hearing is District Judge Brock Thomas – Devon Anderson’s former law partner.

“We can only hope and pray that Anderson’s former law partner isn’t as corrupt as she is,” said Newman.

Shamim Mahmood writes of potential solutions to alleviate discrimination by the Sunni Muslim majority against Pakistan’s Christian minority.

Pakistani-Christians are horrendously persecuted in Pakistan via both extra-legal (e.g. terrorism and prejudice) and legal paths primarily through enacted Blasphemy Laws in this Islamic Republic. More egregiously the Blasphemy Laws are used as an instrument of false accusations for various reasons such as revenge, monetary extortion, property acquisition and such nefarious evil designs by Muslims against Christians.

Shamim is a great brother in Christ; however, his faith in the historical promise of Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah of equal rights for all of Pakistan’s religious minorities. Particularly after Jinnah’s death untimely right after Pakistan’s 1947 birth made the equal rights promise a historical delusion. It is my humble opinion that the declaration of an Islamic Republic meant that religious minorities not bowing as dhimmis to Sunni Muslims made an equal rights promise a delusion.

 Muslim love of the Quran that tells them to physically coerce non-Muslims through humiliation to convert or to kill them if they insult Islam or its pseudo-prophet Mohammed is a dooms day promise toward Christians and other religious minorities in Pakistan.

A Muslim apologist will tell a Christian that Islam is peace and makes provision for the People of the Book which are Jews and Christians. And indeed the Quran has those provisions. Unfortunately, those provisions of the Quran spoken by Mohammed were abrogated by the Islamic prophet after the conquest of Medina. Mohammed grew weary of courting the favor of Jews and Christians and sadly and suddenly the moon-deity Allah began telling Mohammed to subject Christians and Jews in humiliation even death for insults. (Later one of four honored Caliph’s that assumed the reins of power after Mohammed’s death figured out how to sustain the then Muslim minority with a stinging protection tax. Failure to pay meant death.) Thus it became an insult for a Christian to proclaim Jesus the Son of God who died on a cross and was resurrected by the Father in bodily form at oneness with the Father and Holy Spirit.

Quotes of Quran from “The Quran and Christianity” (6/23/16):

In the Quran, Christians are generally referred to as “people of the book” and then in the various suras and ayahs (or chapters and verses) a number of references are made. In 2:120, “Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you till you follow their religion. Say: ‘Verily, Islamic Guidance is the only Guidance. And if you were to follow their desires after what you have received of Knowledge, then you would have against Allah neither any protector nor helper.”

In 3:56: “As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers." In 3:85: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.” In 3:118: “O you who believe! Take not as your helpers or friends those outside your religion since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed we have made plain to you the verses if you understand.”

3:178 states: “And let not the disbelievers think that our postponing of their punishment is good for them. We postpone the punishment only so that they may increase in sinfulness. And for them is a disgracing torment.” Hardly encouraging for the basis for a peaceful co-existence and a comfortable pluralism.

Here are some Quran quotes in “Does The Quran Mention Jesus? What Do Muslims Believe About Jesus?”:

Muslims reject the idea that Jesus was God and consider the belief blasphemous (Sura 5:75).  Islam says that Jesus was an apostle of Allah just like all the other apostles of Allah (Sura 5:78).  The Qur’an says that anyone who believes Jesus is “the Son of God” is imitating “what the unbelievers of old used to say.  God’s curse be on them; how they are deluded away from the Truth” (Sura 9:30). …

Islam says that Jesus was never crucified on a cross

There are several competing theories put forth by different Muslim scholars concerning Jesus and the cross.  Nevertheless, they all contain the belief that Jesus did not die on the cross for the sins of the world…or anything else (Sura 4:157).

Here are some Quran quotes from “JESUS THE "SON" OF GOD”:

Muhammad, the founder of Islam, misunderstood what the term "Son of God" meant with respect to Christianity.  He thought of it only in terms of sexual reproduction, i.e. that God fathered a child through sexual intercourse with Mary.  Therefore he spoke out against it.

Christians also reject that God had physical intercourse with Mary, but we understand Christ being God's Son as an analogical term.  We believe that the eternal Son of God, one with the Father from all eternity, united to Him in one Spirit, "became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:14), and took "the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men" (Philippians 2:7).  We believe in the incarnation of the Son of God. 

Muhammad did hear the Christians proclaim Jesus the Messiah as God's Son, but understanding or not, he specifically denied that Jesus was the Son of God.  He said in the Quran,

Sura 2:116 - "They say:  "God has begotten a son".   Glory be to Him.  No, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth:  everything renders worship to Him."

and,

Sura 9:30 - "The Christians say the Messiah is the Son of God, that is a saying from their mouths."

Muhammad was unable to distinguish between the Christian belief in Jesus as the Son of God and the Arab Pagan belief in idols as offspring of God, i.e., Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, and Manat, (these were idols worshipped around Mecca as daughters of the supreme God - or Allah).   Muhammad misunderstood that Christians in no way consider Jesus - the Son of God, in the same way the Arab Pagans understood their idols.

I think you get the idea. There will never be equal rights for a Christian residing in a nation in which the Quran and Sharia Law define culture and society and its rule of law.

That’s my take though and not Shamim’s.

Should Shamim give up and quite being a Rights Advocate for Pakistani-Christians? ABSOLUTELY NOT! On Christ’s ascension to the right hand of the Father He gave a message to the disciples who were the minority of their faith in their day:

¹⁶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. ¹⁷ When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹ Go therefore^[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.^[b] (Matthew 28: 16—20 NKJV)

¹⁴ Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. ¹⁵ And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.¹⁶ He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. ¹⁷ And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; ¹⁸ they^[a] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

¹⁹ So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. ²⁰ And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.^[b] (Mark 16: 14-20 NKJV)

³⁶ Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” ³⁷ But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. ³⁸ And He said to them,“Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?³⁹ Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

⁴⁰ When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.^[a]41 But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” ⁴² So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.^[b] 43 And He took it and ate in their presence.

⁴⁴ Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” ⁴⁵ And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

AND this is why Shamim Mahmood should NEVER stop being a Christian Rights Advocate among a Muslim Sunni majority that have been taught to hate non-Muslims their entire lives.

Way Out to Long Sufferings

Join hands to save the lives of Pakistani Christians

7 And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. 8 So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 10. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 1:7-10)

The world has seen surly seen the oppression of Christians living in Pakistan. Since Zia’s regime, there are more than 1400 blasphemy cases registered and thousands of the Christians girls have faced force conversions and huge numbers of persecution cases were registered against religious minorities. According to the sources more than sixty people accused of blasphemy were killed before their respective trials were over though the death sentence has never been implemented.

Affected before partition of Indo-Pak, this section was introduced in 1860 [Blog Editor: See the PDF “Blasphemy Laws in Pakistan: A Historical Overview” Beginning page 9 for British 1860 blasphemy law & Pakistan Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860)] and was meant to prevent religious violence. Prior to 1986, only 14 cases pertaining to blasphemy were reported. But later it is being used to settle personal secures. And thus minorities of the country have been facing persecution under this unsympathetic blasphemy law.

To me persecution of Pakistani Christians is aligned with other issues as well, like poverty. There are different options to get rid of long sufferings. Being an optimist, here are few recommendations, and I feel this is workable and can minimize the level of persecution. Major portion of this marginalized community lives in outskirts under/below the poverty line. Ninety percent of poor girls work as maids and thus become the victims of domestic violence or being raped. This leads to being forcefully married and are asked [Blog Editor: more often forced] to convert to Islam. A major portion of the youth are unemployed or work as laborers with a low salary or bonded labor. Practically speaking, any Christian working under Muslim bosses face discrimination in/on a regular basis. Even Isfan Yar Bhandara [or Isphanyar M. Bhandara] (minority parliamentarian) confessed that minority parliamentarians receive discriminatory development funds [Blog Editor: 2 articles on discriminatory practices with Development Funds – HERE & HERE] in the lower house.

Education is the first and foremost priority, go to school is a right of every child and to ensure the provision of an education facility can fix the problem. Church based institutions and other buildings can be used to educate the Christian community. Big donor agencies can take this initiative and I assure you after fifteen years, things would miraculously change. Drop out ratio has gone higher ever since the standard of the public school education cannot meet the required result and education at private sector is much expensive.     

So provision of better employment opportunities to the marginalized segment of society is the only solution for a better future. There are a number of measures one can take to save their skin. For example; providing small loans in establishing their own businesses in livestock, petty trading, agriculture, stitching, embroidery, handicrafts and small scale rural manufacturing can raise the living standard of the poor population. This will help them start earning on their own instead of relying continuously on cash grants by some donor agencies/church based organizations. Any interest free loan scheme can alleviate unemployment and poverty from this marginalized segment.

There may be some organizations working on the same issues but we need to take as a challenge and start working at broader level. Otherwise there are a number of options youth can choose on their own, that may be destructive not constructive. So I suggest constructive measures can save Pakistani Christians as a sense of deprivation is prevailing among the Christian youth in Pakistan. And it’s an alarming situation.

Senator explodes over Reid's 'bitter, vulgar, incoherent ramblings'

Senator Harry Reid is a loathsome Leftist who has lied to his Nevada constituents and Americans especially when he was the Majority Leader in the Senate pushing through Obama’s nefarious agenda on the American people. I read a WND article that came with a video of Senator Tom Cotton Excoriating Senator Reid’s lying defamation of the recent Defense spending bill that passed 98-0.

Think about the numbers from the Senate in passing this bill: 98 for to ZERO against. That means two Senators simply did not for the Defense spending bill. Guess who did vote for the bill after trying to delay it with defamatory remarks against the authors of the legislation: Senator Harry Reid from Nevada!

WASHINGTON – Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., unleashed a tirade against Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., bemoaning that, “I am forced to listen to the bitter, vulgar, incoherent ramblings of the minority leader.”

“Normally, like every other American, I ignore them,” he continued, “I can’t ignore them today, however.”

Cotton made the comments on the Senate floor Wednesday, while blasting Reid for “his cancerous leadership” and for trying delay a defense spending bill that had just passed by a vote of 98-0.

Cotton ridiculed Reid for claiming the bill was written “in the dead of night,” noting it had been public for weeks.

“And this coming from a man who drafted Obamacare in his office and rammed it through this Senate at midnight on Christmas Eve, on a straight party line vote?”

Sen. Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Cotton called Reid’s claim “an outrageous slander.”

“To say that he’s delaying this because he cares for the troops? A man who never served himself?” continued Cotton. “A man who, in April 2007, came to this very floor before the surge had even reached its peak and said the war is lost? When over 100 Americans were being killed in Iraq every month? When I was carrying their dead bodies off an airplane at Dover Air Force Base?

“It is an outrage to say we had to delay this because he cares for the troops. We are protecting it for one reason and one reason only: to protect his own sad, sorry legacy.”

The senator bitterly remarked, “When was the last time the minority leader read a bill? It was probably an electricity bill.”

Sacrifices and Exemplary Lives

They all may have had numerous assorted reasons for joining, from benefits and education opportunities to travel and real world experiences, but for the most part, they understood that U.S. military might was necessary for peace. They have stood ready and leaped to action against our enemies, making them pay a terrible price for any aggression or attack, and they have made many personal sacrifices in the process, in order to keep this Great America of Ours safe and free forever.

And today our Service Members follow in the tradition of such American patriots, such as Tennessee Representative Felix Grundy who addressed the U.S. Congress in 1811 with the following: [The question is] "whether we will resist by force the attempt, made by the [British] government, to subject our maritime rights to the arbitrary and capricious rule of her will ... http://college.cengage.com/history/ayers_primary_sources/debate_war_congress.htm Sir, I prefer war to submission."

There is not anyway to properly acknowledge the service of so many wonderful and deserving people in a list. Many of us have family members or someone in our community who left the military service and carried on through exemplary lives, pursuing their dreams.

Aside from my father, a much decorated U.S. Army sergeant who served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam, some of those Veterans who most influenced my life include:

*A.C. "Ace" Wintermeyer, a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and Chief of LaVergne Fire Department, who gave me my first real job.

*Sam Ridley, a much decorated WWII Air Force Veteran, who did many fine things for Smyrna, TN as its mayor and always had a moment for some great conversation with Smyrna's youth.

*Professor (Lt. Colonel) Ralph Fullerton, my mentor at MTSU and a former aide to the Ambassador to Nicaragua, who was one of the most adventurous, interesting and intelligent men I ever had the pleasure of knowing.

*SSGT Barry Sadler, a Vietnam Veteran and author of the 'Ballad of the Green Beret' and 'Nashville With a Bullet', who often regaled me with fascinating stories, good advice and a bit of philosophy over many a cup of coffee at Shoney's Big Boy in Hendersonville, TN.

*Pete Doughtie, a U.S. Army Veteran, who owns and operates The Rutherford Reader, along with his wife Kaye, and who has been gracious enough to give me the opportunity to keep the community informed through one of the few conservative and ethical newspapers left in America.

Most able bodied men and a small number of women, nearly 10% of the entire U.S. population, served in the military during WWII and were on active duty by war's end. As a result, most Baby Boomers have at least one family member who served in uniform, and approximately one-third of all Americans born since 1980 are related to someone with military experience.

Today, our Armed Forces are comprised of an undrafted, all-volunteer cadre, most of whom enlisted after the September 11, 2001 attacks on the U.S. and has included nearly 300,000 women, cut from the same cloth as Lt. Col. Courtney Rogers, a Tennessee State Legislator, Lt Col Joni Earnst, Iowa's Republican Representative and SRA Shevontae "Smitty" Smith who served with http://www.afcent.af.mil/News/ArticleDisplay/tabid/4779/Article/218042/walking-with-the-reapers.aspx Reaper 5 in Bagram, Afghanistan.

Soldiers who fully comprehend and believe in the mission usually come home and are able to adjust well. These are the hard men in battle, living, breathing and eating combat operations around the clock. But it's their love of family, country, and often God, and love returned that saves them from the ravages of mental anguish and Post Traumatic Stress, "battle-fatigue", upon their return home.

The vast majority of recent Veterans, roughly 90% according to numerous studies, are not bitter or angry. They say they still would have enlisted, even in consideration of all they now know about war and military service.

U.S. Army Sgt. David Moeller, http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/national/2014/03/29/a-legacy-of-pride-and-pain/ who served two years in Iraq, told Kaiser Family Foundation in 2014: [We] "had a positive impact there. I don't regret it. It's something I'd do over and over again."

However, even the strongest among us might succumb to the pressure cooker of multiple tours of duty and an untold number of bloody and horrific combat actions. One in two soldiers have reported to government inquiries, that they know a member of the military who has attempted or committed suicide, and over one million soldiers say they cannot control their anger (The Atlantic).

No one person can presume to actually understand the mental and physical toll military service takes on a soldier, unless they have been where it's real, where an IED can end your life in a second or where an old Muslim with a mild smile on his face and gentle empathetic eyes says "Allah Akbar" and detonates himself and all within a hundred-foot circumference. Unless one has hunted for the enemy along goat paths and in little mud and wood constructed towns, where an RPG can scorch a man's flesh from his body in a second, raided a cave by moonlight taking fire all the way to extract, and lain in their own urine and defecation for three days for a high-value shot, one cannot fully comprehend the soldier's sacrifice.

How many old soldiers live with the memories of young soldiers following their orders being blown to pieces? How many remember their own fears, panic and pleas to God as they clinched in the wake of incoming blasts and repelled human wave attacks with every last ounce of strength they could humanly muster?

During a recent conversation, it was heartbreaking and shocking to hear a 90-year old WWII Veteran reminisce and say, with a voice weakened by time, "I wish I'd died over there." I told him his life and his experiences were valuable to his family and this generation, and that he was loved by me and millions of other Americans, who understood he had laid it all on the line in the name of freedom. His only answer was a nod of his head, a half-smile and tears welling in his eyes.

How many old soldiers returned home only to send their sons off to war to fight and survive or return in a flag-draped coffin?

Since our nation's founding, the strong independent nature of the American people carried over into the military, which enabled America to pursue her best interests and to become the strongest and wealthiest nation in the world. The wheel of destiny has turned so that any hope for peace and freedom will hinge on America's moral courage and a U.S. military that ensures "peace through strength."

This Memorial Day and every day forward, take a few moments, whenever the opportunity presents itself, to offer the most sincere, well-thought thanks to the men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces, with more than just a smile and a handshake. Offer a friendly ear on occasion and really listen. Offer a helping hand to those Veterans struggling to re-enter civilian life, and offer friendship to all of these brave men and women. And, as we acknowledge that so many have sacrificed their lives defending America, the U.S. Constitution and freedom and liberty worldwide, we offer our prayers for all the U.S. Armed Forces, who protect this nation's existence each and every day, and we pray for America.
