Fusion GPS has been used by
both Dems and GOP as a source of Oppo Research by political candidates. Fusion
GPS is not alone in this political function. Oppo Research is essentially mudslinging
that might be the truth but often is mixed with half-truths. If there is a half-truth,
then there is a half-lie.
Pertaining to Fusion GPS and President Trump, Oppo Research
was first requested by a yet undisclosed Republican candidate for the GOP
nomination for President (perhaps via Washington Free Beacon).
The MSM reports this but fails to inform readers – whoever that candidate was –
dropped their involvement with Fusion GPS when Donald Trump wrapped up the GOP
nomination.
THEN Fusion GPS shopped out the Oppo Research to the Dems.
That is where the now proven fraudulent so-called Trump Dossier was fabricated
by an ex-MI6 British agent (Christopher Steele) probably
with Russian help.
Now unsurprisingly, it is being reported Fusion GPS has a
close relationship with the Communist News Network – aka CNN, the very network
that has been pushing Fake News Trump/Russia collusion rather telling the truth
of Crooked Hillary/DNC/Fusion GPS/Russian collusion in the November 2016 U.S.
election.

CNN’s reporting on
the Trump-Russia dossier has left out at least one crucial fact: the close ties
between the network and the opposition research firm at the center of the
dossier controversy.
CNN’s reporting on
the dossier, led by justice correspondent Evan Perez, has been favorable
to the firm, Fusion GPS, and hyped the dossier’s credibility. Left out of
Perez’s reporting, which has relied largely on unnamed sources, is his personal
closeness to Fusion GPS’ operatives. Fusion has repeatedly been described in
Senate testimonies as a smear-for-hire operation that manufactures misleading
or false media narratives for its clients.
Glenn Simpson, the
Fusion co-founder most often associated with the dossier, is used to working on
stories with Perez. As reporters at The Wall Street Journal, Perez and
Simpson regularlyco-authored stories on
national security.
Another Fusion
founder, Tom Catan, worked as a reporter for the Journal at the same time as
Perez and Simpson. The third Fusion co-founder, Peter Fritsch, worked
above Perez and Simpson as the senior national security editor.
Simpson and Fritsch
left the WSJ in 2011 to launch Fusion. Perez jumped from the paper to CNN in
2013. Another longtime Journal reporter, Neil King, left the paper to join
Fusion in December 2016.
Photos posted to
Facebook underscore the personal closeness between Perez and the Fusion GPS
operatives. One photo posted by Perez shows King, who left the Journal for
Fusion in December 2016, and another man posing for a picture at The Bullpen,
an outdoor bar right outside of the Washington Nationals’ stadium.
The Bullpen is a
popular fan destination before baseball games. King is shown wearing a shirt
with the Nationals name and logo across the front. The photo was posted in
August 2016, four months before King joined Fusion GPS.

Another photo, from
September 2015, shows Perez, King and Fusion co-founder Peter Fritsch.
In 2011, the same
year that Fritsch co-founded Fusion, Perez posted two photos on Facebook from
an apparent fishing trip with Fritsch. The photos show the Wall Street Journal
alum holding a fishing rod and standing ankle-deep in a lake. In one of the
photos, Fritsch can be seen flipping the camera his middle finger.
At no point in
Perez’s reporting did he disclose his close ties to the Fusion GPS operatives.
The Wall Street
Journal’s editorial board sounded the alarm about its former reporters in a
remarkable editorial earlier
this month, accusing Beltway media of being complicit in a coverup with Fusion.
“Americans don’t need a Justice Department coverup abetted by Glenn Simpson’s
media buddies,” the editors wrote in a scathing takedown of the firm.
Simpson’s wife, Mary
Jacoby, bragged about his role in the dossier in a lengthy June 2017 Facebook
post reviewed by The Daily Caller.
Jacoby claimed that
“some people still don’t realize what Glenn’s role was in exposing Putin’s
control of Donald Trump,” referencing the dossier’s thesis. The dossier claimed
that Russians had evidence of damaging information on Trump that they would use
to blackmail him, an explosive accusation for which there remains no public
evidence.
CNN’s coverage of
the dossier has been relatively soft. CNN anchor Jake Tapper, usually known for
his aggressive coverage, gave Fusion a pass while reporting on the story
Wednesday evening.
“Certainly some of
the more lurid charges in that dossier remain uncorroborated, but some of the
details have been proven accurate,” Tapper said. But the newsman failed to
mention reporting he did back in January that called the dossier’s credibility
into question.
On Jan. 10, the day
that BuzzFeed published the dossier, Tapper cited a government source who told
him that a key claim in the dossier about Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, was
false. The dossier alleged that Cohen traveled to Prague last August to meet
with Kremlin operatives. But Tapper reported that government officials believed
that a different Michael Cohen had actually traveled to the Czech Republic. Tapper
has not acknowledge[d] that reporting since that initial segment. (RELATED: Jake

CNN did not respond
to The Daily Caller’s request for comment about Perez’s ties to Fusion’s
partners.
Fusion GPS,
currently at the center of the Russia investigation, has a reputation for
working misinformation into the media for political clients.
Thor Halvorssen,
founder of the Human Rights Foundation, described Fusion
GPS as “highly paid smear experts” in written testimony to the Senate Judiciary
Committee. He says that the firm went after him several years ago because he
criticized a corrupt Venezuelan company Derwick Associates that counted Fusion
as a client.
Alek Boyd, a former
associate of Halvorssen’s, says he was also targeted in a similar smear
campaign because he drew attention to Derwick’s alleged financial misdeeds. He
said he also faced false allegations of being a pedophile, sexual deviant and
drug addict.
“Fusion is basically
a pen-for-hire shop, whose owners are prepared to concoct completely spurious
stories that are fed to media contacts developed over years of legitimate work
in reputable outlets,” Boyd told TheDC.
Bill Browder, a
renowned human rights activist and top Putin enemy, offered similar testimony
before the committee.
Browder described
how Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, the same attorney that met with
Donald Trump Jr. last year, used Fusion GPS to conduct a smear campaign against
him.
“Veselnitskaya,
through Baker Hostetler, hired Glenn Simpson of the firm Fusion GPS to conduct
a smear campaign against me and Sergei Magnitsky in advance of congressional
hearings on the Global Magnitsky Act,” Browder stated in his written testimony.
“He contacted a
number of major newspapers and other publications to spread false information
that Sergei Magnitsky was not murdered, was not a whistle-blower, and was
instead a criminal. They also spread false information that my presentations to
lawmakers around the world were untrue,” Browder said.
Browder’s testimony
drew bipartisan praise, with California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking
Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, praising Browder’s account as
“some of the best testimony I’ve ever heard.”

The House Intel Committee is making a move on the Deep State
within the Federal government pulling every vile lever to bring down the Trump
Administration.
The House Intelligence Committee has subpoenaed the FBI and
the Justice Department for documents relating to the Trump "dodgy
dossier," the
Washington Examinerreported Tuesday evening. The committee is
seeking information regarding the FBI's relationship with dossier author
Christopher Steele and its possible role in funding what started out as an
opposition research project by shady lefty research
firm Fusion GPS.
While it has been widely reported that "a wealthy GOP
donor" originally funded the anti-Trump dossier, the managers of the Ted
Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, and John Kasich campaigns have all told the Examiner's Byron
York that they knew nothing about a GOP-funded oppo-research
project on Trump. Meanwhile, Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson has refused to
answer the question about who bankrolled the dossier.
The House Intel Committee is one of several congressional committees
looking into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Additionally, Justice Department Special Counsel Robert Mueller is leading a
separate investigation into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and
Russia.
The subpoenas to the FBI and DOJ are a sign of the GOP's
frustration with the lack of cooperation they are getting from even the Trump
Justice Department.
"I'm sure you're noting with the same irony I'm noting
the difficulty that a Republican Congress is having getting information from a
Department of Justice run by Jeff Sessions,"Gowdy
told York.
The committee issued the subpoenas
-- one to the FBI, an identical one to the Justice Department -- on August 24,
giving both until last Friday, September 1, to turn over the information.
Neither FBI nor Justice turned over
the documents, and now the committee has given them an extension until
September 14 to comply.
Illustrating the seriousness with
which investigators view the situation, late Tuesday the committee issued two
more subpoenas, specifically to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney
General Jeff Sessions, directing them to appear before the committee to explain
why they have not provided the subpoenaed information.
The subpoenas are the result of a months-long
process of committee investigators requesting information from the FBI and
Justice Department. Beginning in May, the committee sent multiple letters to
the FBI and Justice requesting information concerning the Trump-Russia affair.
"We got nothing," said
committee member Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., who is taking a leading role in the
Russia investigation. "The witnesses have not been produced and the
documents have not been produced."
In a telephone interview Tuesday,
Gowdy said the FBI has said it needed more time to comply, and also that
complying might interfere with the investigation of special counsel Robert
Mueller. Whatever the reason, the documents haven't been produced.
"A subpoena is a tool of last
resort in Congress," Gowdy, a former federal prosecutor, said.
Like investigators with the Senate
Judiciary Committee, who are also pursuing information about the dossier, the
House committee wants to know the origin of the FBI's involvement in the
creation of the document. They are particularly interested to know whether the
FBI or Justice Department ever presented information from the dossier --
unverified, possibly from paid informants -- to a court as a basis for
obtaining a surveillance warrant in the Russia investigation.
"I want to know the extent to
which it was relied upon, if at all, by any of our intelligence agencies or
federal law enforcement agencies," Gowdy said, "and to the extent it
was relied upon, how did they vet, or either corroborate or contradict, the
information in it?"
The House intelligence panel, like
the Senate Judiciary Committee, has had so-called "de-confliction"
discussions with Mueller's office and believes the special counsel does not
object to the House seeking information on the dossier.
The committee believes that seeking
information on the origin of the FBI's role in the dossier, and the bureau's
relationship with dossier compiler Steele, a former British spy, will lead to a
better understanding of the FBI's entire counter-intelligence probe on the
question of Russian interference in the 2016 campaign.
"Several of our lines of
questions centered on the dossier, or, if you don't like the word 'dossier,'
just insert 'the origin of the Russia investigation,'" said Gowdy.
The former prosecutor seems determined to get to the bottom
of the Trump dossier mystery.
"Congress created the FBI, we created the Department of
Justice, we're the ones who passed the laws that set the boundaries of their
jurisdiction, and and we're the ones that fund them," he said. "It is
not illegitimate for us to ask what prompted this investigation, and it is
certainly not illegitimate for us to test and probe the reliability of that
underlying information, particularly if, in theory, there are either charging
decisions and/or court filings that relied upon that information."
According to CNN, the reason the Justice Department has been
been refusing compliance with the subpoenas is because they don't want to
interfere with the Mueller investigation.
Crooked Hillary lost and Donald Trump won to become the
President Elect until January 20 when the Donald gets to say, “You’re Fired!”
And yet Crooked Hillary acolytes and Obama including his acolytes have spent
the lame duck period trying to undermine the Trump Electoral College victory. (Heads
up to popular vote counter-constitutionalists: The Founding Fathers
set up the Electoral College because of a mistrust of direct democracy AND to
level the playing field between the most populated States and the lesser
populated States. HELLO! Take away New York and California then ask, “Who wins
the popular vote then? And that is two out of fifty States.)
The Dems have – in an absolute sense - pointed their fingers
at Russia for directly manipulating the election process in the USA. The
problem with the Dem finger pointing there is proof the Russians or private
hackers never accessed the voting process.
So, what are the Dems saying when pointing their fingers at
Russia with an election manipulation accusation? The Dems at the very least
influenced the election to Trump’s favor by exposing the Dem Party and the
Crooked Hillary emails to the voting public.
Hmm …
So, Russia has become evil for revealing Hillary Clinton and the Dem Party are
crooked and corrupt in its practices.
Now we can seriously point to Russian actions that are evil
in the sense of undermining the freest republic in world history. Here is a far
incomplete list of Russian provocations during President Barack Hussein Obama’s
Administration:
oRussia invaded the nation
of Georgia to bring Abkhazia and South Ossetia under the Russian orbit by
making them independent nations.
oAnnexing Crimea and
usurping land from Ukraine at the behest of Russian speaking Ukrainians planted
there during the Soviet era.
oRussia often has military
exercises directly near NATO protected nations as well as sending war planes
into NATO nations’ airspace.
oRussia has intervened in
the Syrian civil war on the side of Abbas despotic regime which allies with the
Iran military and the Hezbollah terrorists. (I have indecisive feelings here
since the parties engaged in aiding Abbas are also attacking the Islamic
terrorists of ISIS. Are there still moderate Sunni-Syrians trying to overthrow
Assad? Frankly I don’t know about that due to all the Islamic terrorist
organization involved in the civil war which stretches beyond just ISIS.)
oRussia has sent aid to Iran
in regard to the Shia Muslim’s nation’s nuclear aspirations. The kind of aid
that Iran could easily escalate to military uses.
You are darn toot’in the Russians are up to no good
vis-a-vie America. Are the Russians willing to interfere in America’s internal
affairs? I have no doubt. I have a lot of doubts the Russians would favor
Donald Trump to Crooked Hillary. After all, it was under the direction of
Crooked Hillary and Obama that a huge chunk of Uranium fell
under Russian control.
Trump’s campaign moniker of making America great again
including a rebuilt stronger military is definitely NOT in the national
interests of Russia.
Also, there is the appearance that America’s Intelligence
Communities have absorbed the Obama global agenda and are willing to toss
President Elect Trump under the bus with Buzzfeed publishing good old
fashioned fake news (as opposed to the
actual content of the DNC email servers). On television (Fox
News) I heard this so-called Trump Dossier might be a part of a feud between
the incoming President and the American Intelligence Community with the
inference the CIA in particular.
If I was Trump, on January 20 I’d initiate investigations
not only toward Crooked Hillary but also the Obama Administration that should
include Barack Hussein Obama.
At any rate below are two reports. The first is the Angry
Patriot talking about yet another Wikileaks expose showing Crooked Hillary had
close financial ties with George Soros. The second report is a video entitled “Report
on Russian Hacking is a Political Hoax” in which Cliff Kincaid and Jerry Kenney deconstructing
the Intelligence Community’s belief that Russia was behind a hack of the DNC.

Leaked documents have now revealed who is pulling Hillary
Clinton’s dusty puppet strings.
In an email released by WikiLeaks,George
Soros gave Hillary Clinton step-by-step instructions. This included a
list of people Soros thought should be official mediators sent to Albania in
2011. Days after the email was sent, someone on the list was sent as the
mediator by the EU, as per Investor’s Business
Daily.
This past weekend, an organization called DC Leaks put
up 2,500 documents from Soros’s Open Society Foundation’s servers,
revealing more corruption and connections to Clinton and others. The emails are
from as far back as 2008.
However, the mainstream media are refusing to say anything
about this leak, no doubt because Soros funds them or they fear retaliation.
Soros is quick to use his money to get what he wants even if that is to
influence an election.
No mainstream media platform, such as CNN, CBS,
or the New York Times, has said a single thing about these
emails. Only conservative media have touched the story.
They’re not airing this information because of lack of
interest or out of fear it wouldn’t get viewers’ attention—it’s because the
details are truly disturbing and deeply important.
These documents show how Soros’s organizations manipulated
European elections in 2014, including a “List of European Elections 2014
Projects” that details over 90 projects in total in that year alone. He also
gave $4 million away to anti-Israeli groups to “challenge Israel’s racist and
anti-democratic policies.”
In the states, Soros wanted to give $200,000 to the Center
for American Politics to create a smear campaign to hit conservative activists
with. And in 2015, his Open Society gave $650,000 to “invest in technical
assistance and support for the groups at the core of the burgeoning
#BlackLivesMatter movement.” It was then that the BLM movement seemed to
start to advocate for violence.
Soros doesn’t care if American police officers die because
he has emboldened and financed a hateful group. He doesn’t care that actual
black community issues will be neglected as the movement pushes for all the
wrong solutions!
Previously, Soros had known close ties to the failed
presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, but there was no evidence Clinton was
literally taking Soros’s orders. This past year, he gave around $7 million to
Clinton’s PACs alone. Altogether, he gave over $25 million to Democrat
politicians and causes.
If Soros was a conservative, the media would be all over
him—they may have even been harder on him than they are on Donald Trump. They
would tear into his schemes and works and try to expose him for what he is, but
because he’s a liberal, the media are looking the other way.
Soros, like Hillary Clinton, gets a pass for his corrupt
schemes. Looks like his organizations are another swamp to drain!
Mr. and Mrs. America, the CIA is again trying to overthrow
Trump.
CNN has unleashed another round of vague, unsubstantiated
and unsourced allegations against Trump:
CNN claims the allegations are “that Russian operatives
claimed to have compromising personal and financial information about Mr.
Trump." Claimed?
This is another effort by the CIA to undermine Trump even

The allegations were apparently referenced by Democrat Sen.
Harry Reid in a letter to FBI Director Comey. Reid claimed: “In my
communications with you and other top officials in the national security
community, it has become clear that you possess explosive
information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his
top advisors, and the Russian government – a foreign interest openly hostile to
the United States, which Trump praises at every opportunity. The public has a
right to know this information.”
Notice Reid’s reference to sources in “the national security
community.” This is code for the CIA.
The CIA says that Russian
hackers released true information about Hillary Clinton. Horrors! Cliff Kincaid
and Jerry Kenney analyze the "Declassified Intelligence Community
Assessment of Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent U.S. Elections,"
in order to show how the CIA and other intelligence agencies are trying to
subvert the Trump presidency with bogus claims. The CIA report proves the
validity of what Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer meant when he said, “Let me
tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from
Sunday at getting back at you."
