‘Worse than expected’: IG’s coming report expected to be ‘fairly damning indictment’ of Comey’s FBI

James Gagliano – CNN Reporter

WHAT! A CNN reporter says his sources report that IG Michael Horowitz will be releasing a “damning indictment” of FBI Seventh Floor, i.e. the FBI managing elitists.

‘Worse than expected’: IG’s coming report expected to be ‘fairly damning indictment’ of Comey’s FBI

May 10, 2018

James Gagliano, a law enforcement analyst for CNN, took to Twitter Wednesday to share that sources tell him the soon-to-be released Department of Justice Inspector General report is “worse than expected.” according to his sources.

The retired FBI supervisory special agent added that the report is “a fairly damning indictment of FBI’s seventh floor during the [James] Comey era.”

“Sources with knowledge of the impending DOJ Inspector General Report confirm that it will be a fairly damning indictment of FBI’s seventh floor during the Comey era. “It’s worse than expected,” seems to be the consistent theme …,” Gagliano tweeted.

The seventh floor is where senior officials at the FBI call home, such as fired FBI Director James Comey and his fired deputy director, Andrew McCabe, according to The Washington Times.

Did we mention that Gagliano is a CNN analyst?

Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz released a damning report last month that accused McCabe of “lack of candor” about his authorization of leaks to the media, behavior that the report said “constituted misconduct.”

Horowitz also forwarded  criminal referral for McCabe to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington D.C.

The reaction on social media centered around the question of whether the country will see “equal justice” following the release of the inspector general’s report, though some suggested the FBI may need to do some refurbishing on the 7th floor.

Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:

CNN’s Undisclosed Ties To Fusion GPS

Fusion GPS has been used by both Dems and GOP as a source of Oppo Research by political candidates. Fusion GPS is not alone in this political function. Oppo Research is essentially mudslinging that might be the truth but often is mixed with half-truths. If there is a half-truth, then there is a half-lie.

Pertaining to Fusion GPS and President Trump, Oppo Research was first requested by a yet undisclosed Republican candidate for the GOP nomination for President (perhaps via Washington Free Beacon). The MSM reports this but fails to inform readers – whoever that candidate was – dropped their involvement with Fusion GPS when Donald Trump wrapped up the GOP nomination.

THEN Fusion GPS shopped out the Oppo Research to the Dems. That is where the now proven fraudulent so-called Trump Dossier was fabricated by an ex-MI6 British agent (Christopher Steele) probably with Russian help.

Now unsurprisingly, it is being reported Fusion GPS has a close relationship with the Communist News Network – aka CNN, the very network that has been pushing Fake News Trump/Russia collusion rather telling the truth of Crooked Hillary/DNC/Fusion GPS/Russian collusion in the November 2016 U.S. election.

CNN’s Undisclosed Ties To Fusion GPS

10/28/2017 1:07 AM

CNN’s reporting on the Trump-Russia dossier has left out at least one crucial fact: the close ties between the network and the opposition research firm at the center of the dossier controversy.

CNN’s reporting on the dossier, led by justice correspondent Evan Perez, has been favorable to the firm, Fusion GPS, and hyped the dossier’s credibility. Left out of Perez’s reporting, which has relied largely on unnamed sources, is his personal closeness to Fusion GPS’ operatives. Fusion has repeatedly been described in Senate testimonies as a smear-for-hire operation that manufactures misleading or false media narratives for its clients.

Glenn Simpson, the Fusion co-founder most often associated with the dossier, is used to working on stories with Perez. As reporters at The Wall Street Journal, Perez and Simpson regularly co-authored stories on national security.

Another Fusion founder, Tom Catan, worked as a reporter for the Journal at the same time as Perez and Simpson. The third Fusion co-founder, Peter Fritsch, worked above Perez and Simpson as the senior national security editor.

Simpson and Fritsch left the WSJ in 2011 to launch Fusion. Perez jumped from the paper to CNN in 2013. Another longtime Journal reporter, Neil King, left the paper to join Fusion in December 2016.

Photos posted to Facebook underscore the personal closeness between Perez and the Fusion GPS operatives. One photo posted by Perez shows King, who left the Journal for Fusion in December 2016, and another man posing for a picture at The Bullpen, an outdoor bar right outside of the Washington Nationals’ stadium.

The Bullpen is a popular fan destination before baseball games. King is shown wearing a shirt with the Nationals name and logo across the front. The photo was posted in August 2016, four months before King joined Fusion GPS.

Neil King is seen on the left, in a photo posted by CNN reporter Evan Perez. (Screenshot/Facebook)

Another photo, from September 2015, shows Perez, King and Fusion co-founder Peter Fritsch.

In 2011, the same year that Fritsch co-founded Fusion, Perez posted two photos on Facebook from an apparent fishing trip with Fritsch. The photos show the Wall Street Journal alum holding a fishing rod and standing ankle-deep in a lake. In one of the photos, Fritsch can be seen flipping the camera his middle finger.

At no point in Perez’s reporting did he disclose his close ties to the Fusion GPS operatives.

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board sounded the alarm about its former reporters in a remarkable editorial earlier this month, accusing Beltway media of being complicit in a coverup with Fusion. “Americans don’t need a Justice Department coverup abetted by Glenn Simpson’s media buddies,” the editors wrote in a scathing takedown of the firm.

Simpson’s wife, Mary Jacoby, bragged about his role in the dossier in a lengthy June 2017 Facebook post reviewed by The Daily Caller.

Jacoby claimed that “some people still don’t realize what Glenn’s role was in exposing Putin’s control of Donald Trump,” referencing the dossier’s thesis. The dossier claimed that Russians had evidence of damaging information on Trump that they would use to blackmail him, an explosive accusation for which there remains no public evidence.

CNN’s coverage of the dossier has been relatively soft. CNN anchor Jake Tapper, usually known for his aggressive coverage, gave Fusion a pass while reporting on the story Wednesday evening.

“Certainly some of the more lurid charges in that dossier remain uncorroborated, but some of the details have been proven accurate,” Tapper said. But the newsman failed to mention reporting he did back in January that called the dossier’s credibility into question.

On Jan. 10, the day that BuzzFeed published the dossier, Tapper cited a government source who told him that a key claim in the dossier about Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, was false. The dossier alleged that Cohen traveled to Prague last August to meet with Kremlin operatives. But Tapper reported that government officials believed that a different Michael Cohen had actually traveled to the Czech Republic. Tapper has not acknowledge[d] that reporting since that initial segment. (RELATED: Jake Tapper’s Dodgy Dossier Reporting)

CNN’s reporting on the dossier has similarly muddied the waters with incorrect information on multiple other occasions.

CNN did not respond to The Daily Caller’s request for comment about Perez’s ties to Fusion’s partners.

Fusion GPS, currently at the center of the Russia investigation, has a reputation for working misinformation into the media for political clients.

Thor Halvorssen, founder of the Human Rights Foundation, described Fusion GPS as “highly paid smear experts” in written testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee. He says that the firm went after him several years ago because he criticized a corrupt Venezuelan company Derwick Associates that counted Fusion as a client.

Alek Boyd, a former associate of Halvorssen’s, says he was also targeted in a similar smear campaign because he drew attention to Derwick’s alleged financial misdeeds. He said he also faced false allegations of being a pedophile, sexual deviant and drug addict.

“Fusion is basically a pen-for-hire shop, whose owners are prepared to concoct completely spurious stories that are fed to media contacts developed over years of legitimate work in reputable outlets,” Boyd told TheDC.

Bill Browder, a renowned human rights activist and top Putin enemy, offered similar testimony before the committee.

Browder described how Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, the same attorney that met with Donald Trump Jr. last year, used Fusion GPS to conduct a smear campaign against him.

“Veselnitskaya, through Baker Hostetler, hired Glenn Simpson of the firm Fusion GPS to conduct a smear campaign against me and Sergei Magnitsky in advance of congressional hearings on the Global Magnitsky Act,” Browder stated in his written testimony.

“He contacted a number of major newspapers and other publications to spread false information that Sergei Magnitsky was not murdered, was not a whistle-blower, and was instead a criminal. They also spread false information that my presentations to lawmakers around the world were untrue,” Browder said.

Browder’s testimony drew bipartisan praise, with California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, praising Browder’s account as “some of the best testimony I’ve ever heard.”

CNN has faced scrutiny in the past for its reporting on the Russia probe. Two prominent CNN reporters and an editor were forced to leave the network after repeated mistakes in covering the Russia probe, including one report that CNN retracted entirely(RELATED: CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Humiliates Colleague Over Quality Of Her Sources)

This article has been updated to include Tapper’s full quote, in which he neglected to mention his previous reporting calling the dossier’s credibility into question.

CNN Caught Distorting News AGAIN!

John R. Houk
© July 1, 2017

CNN (aka the Communist News Network or Fake News Network) is not only a Left Stream Media leader in hate-Trump stories (NBC/MSNBC is right up there) it also is one the largest purveyors of Fake News against President Trump.

As such Project Veritas has exposed CNN – AGAIN – to disseminating Fake News with the agenda of making President Trump and CNN panelist Billy Baer appear as liars about voter fraud to the favor of the Dem Party.

First, a quote from Project Veritas about this toward the end of a post on their website:

Carr’s “direct co-workers,” are from the program New Day, hosted by Alisyn Camerota and Chris Cuomo, which hosted an eight-minute panel discussion featuring six Trump supporters.

Leaked audio from the segment–an hour and a half long–was provided to Project Veritas.

The audio proved that CNN had selectively edited the segment to make the Trump voters appear as conspiracy theorists.

In reality, the context of their arguments was omitted to feed CNN’s Anti-Trump narrative. (American Pravda Part 3: CNN Selectively Edits, Hates Trump, and Think Voters Are Stupid; By Nicholas Evangelista; Project Veritas; 6/30/17)

Next, I will cross post the email alert from James O’Keefe of Project Veritas followed by the James O’Keefe tweet that has 2-minutes and 19-seconds of the 8-minute CNN/Camerota Panel.

As of the moment I was looking for corroboration, I could only find a USSA News story that utilizes InfoWars/Prison Planet as part of their source. (A source too often unjustly accused of fake Conspiracy Theories yet in many cases a quite justified accusation.) I am cross posting the USSA News story because it has the same footage the O’Keefe tweet has but with an added extra minute.

CNN caught AGAIN

By James O’Keefe

Sent by Project Veritas

This morning, I released another Project Veritas video—where CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota engages in some questionable “selective editing,” in order to make a pro-Trump panelist look like a conspiracy theorist.

In the video, Alisyn Camerota skeptically asks a panelist, Billy Baer, if there’s any proof of President Trump’s claims that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2016 election.

Baer says he doesn’t personally have any concrete proof—and the video cuts off his answer, making him look like a conspiracy theorist.

But, in the full audio obtained by Project Veritas, CNN cuts out Baer’s next sentence: where he references a Project Veritas video that exposed how easy it is to fraudulently obtain a ballot, at polling places all across the country.

When we say that CNN is peddling “fake news,” we don’t just mean they’re making up stories. They’re also twisting words, taking opinions out of context, and misrepresenting the facts in order to build a narrative that doesn’t exist.

If we’re going to stop fake news at CNN, we’re counting on your help right now.

Watch this video immediately, and then tweet it to @RealDonaldTrump—so he knows exactly how many Americans are joining him in the fight against fake news.

Thanks for your help.

In truth,

James

CNN Accused Of Editing Out Eyewitness Testimony Of Voter Fraud

June 30, 2017

CNN has been accused of deceptively editing a statement from an interviewee to omit the part where he describes the voter fraud he personally witnessed when he worked as a poll watcher.

As Infowars reports, the accusation stems from Project Veritas’ latest video exposing the inner workings of CNN.

In the Project Veritas video, the organization’s head James O’Keefe refers to an eight minute segment CNN aired on March 30.

That segment involved a forum of Americans discussing their views on President Donald Trump.

One of those Americans was William Baer, who stated that during his time as a poll watcher, he saw people being bussed in to polling stations.

If Baer’s remarks were to be proven true, they would give credence to President Donald Trump’s concerns about voter fraud in the 2016 election, which Democrats have been very quick to denounce.

Unfortunately, according to O’Keefe, Baer’s full explanation for what he saw never made it to air.

O’Keefe’s report contains the raw audio of the March 30 segment which shows that Baer’s explanation – during which he states that, during his time as a poll watcher in New Jersey, he personally witnessed lax voter registration standards that would make it very easy to commit voter fraud – was cut out from the piece completely.

“The piece suggests that Baer did not have a legitimate answer to [CNN host Alisyn] Camerota’s question – in actuality the answer was cut because it didn’t fit their narrative – this is a textbook lie of omission,” claims James O’Keefe.

See the relevant segment of Project Veritas’ latest video – including the leaked audio from the moment Baer provides eyewitness testimony – below.

News of CNN’s obvious selective editing comes as the battle concerning whether or not President Donald Trump is correct to be concerned about voter fraud rages on.

Earlier today, CNN had Kentucky’s Democratic Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes on air to accuse President Donald Trump of attempting to justify his lies with his voter fraud panel’s recent request for information to aid in its investigation.

The Baltimore Sun quotes Democratic Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz as stating, “President Trump’s voter fraud investigation is an attempt to suppress and disenfranchise voters, plain and simple.”

About USSANews.com

Birth of the Tea Party

March 4, 2010, midnight. I watched Harry Reid live on CSPAN gut a passed bill that had nothing to do with health insurance and stuff over 2,000 pages between its covers. This “amendment” was now Obamacare. I was so enraged I wanted to smash my head through the TV. I didn’t. Instead, I created USSANews.com that very day. It was time for me to do whatever I could to educate the people and stop this corruption. The Tea Party was born.

I Had Finally had Enough

This site is here directly because of the direction this country, the USA, is headed. Too much government!

At the debut of this site, March 2010, I was 41. At age 37, I was working two full-time jobs and had a part-time business in NYC, all in the financial industry. I moved to Austin, Texas and discovered America. I discovered an America where I could solely afford a house with a mortgage, as opposed to renting a tiny NYC apartment for the same amount. I discovered I could make $10,000 less a year and take home $5,000 more due to a lack of state, county, and city taxes. I discovered I could get a driver’s license (including the road test) in under an hour, as opposed to the ten hours and five visits to the NYDMV (because of endless bureaucracy) it took me simply to exchange my license. I discovered a place where the taxes imposed are not more than the cost of the product itself, (e.g.: cigarettes). I discovered that government is the problem, and not the solution.

At age 40, I was single, had a good job, could afford to own a nice house, car, pool, and pay my bills on time and consistently. I worked hard to acquire this “wealth.” At age 41, the economy fell apart, as did my life. I lost  READ THE REST

Irony – Napolitano Vindicated by CNN

John R. Houk
© April 15, 2017

Judge Andrew Napolitano said he had sources the British GCHQ was helping Obama spy on Donald Trump. The irony is Left Stream media CNN found the same info from their sources. I wonder if the Judge’s sources and CNN’s sources were the same.

There is one egregious lack of Mainstream Media (MSM) that bothers me and should bother you immensely as an American citizen. The MSM is in full cover Barack Hussein Obama’s gluteus maximus for spying on President Donald Trump before and directly after he won POTUS on November 2016. This includes a host of Crooked Hillary acolytes.

What do these Leftist Dems have in common:

Hillary, Barack, Biden (in his own insane way), Jarett, Rice, Rhodes, Clapper, Brennan, Comey, Podesta, Brazile, Mook, Palmieri, Wasserman-Schultz and other similar deviant political operatives”.

You should be astonished, rather you should be thinking – “I KNEW IT!”

My sources tell me there was a clear conspiracy to spy on the Trump camp to steal the presidency.  deviant political operatives who were working overtime to steal the election. Not Trump colluding with Russia.” (Obama Spygate: How Obama And Hillary Almost Stole The American Presidency; By Bill Robinson, WESTERN JOURNALISM; ISRAPUNDIT; 4/15/17)

I am quite gratified that one of the Leftist cover-ups has found a MSM reversal. CNN (in jest – Communist News Network) has released some information that confirms Judge Andrew Napolitano’s assertion that Obama was also using British Intelligence to spy on Trump. If you recall, Fox News actually suspended Napolitano for exposing this. The good Judge has since had his suspension lifted.

The Blaze points out the Left will claim was mere incidental Intelligence gathering. But you have to realize that is a load of horse pucky if you realize the so-called incidental gathering included Trump info. Why would British Intelligence gathering merely share incidental intel or even incidental intel that specifically looked Trump?

The answer: Obama was spying!

Here’s The Blaze reporting on the CNN revelation of Obama/British Intelligence sharing on Spygate-Trump.

British GCHQ building nick-named The Donut

JRH 4/15/17
******************
[Blog Editor: I found the story originally at AllenWestRepublic.com which was only an excerpt of the The Blaze reporting on CNN’s Spygate revelation. I am the AWR opening paragraph as an intro to The Blaze.]

In an astonishing turn of events, CNN has reported that the Obama administration did, in fact, receive intelligence reports from British Intelligence concerning Trump aide’s communications with Russia. Whether or not these reports will pass the litmus test for collusion is yet to be determined. What has been determined is that the Obama administration was in fact spying on Americans.

Apr 13, 2017 8:16 pm

CNN reported Thursday that their sources indicate British intelligence services provided U.S. agencies with intercepts they obtained between Trump campaign associates and the Russian government. They say it was “incidental collection,” much like the kind that was captured by U.S. agencies on Trump associates.

The communications were captured during routine surveillance of Russian officials and other Russians known to western intelligence. British and European intelligence agencies, including GCHQ, the British intelligence agency responsible for communications surveillance, were not proactively targeting members of the Trump team but rather picked up these communications during what’s known as “incidental collection,” these sources tell CNN.

The Trump administration had previously denied a report that they apologized to the British government for including the GCHQ in a list of agencies that former President Obama used to spy on Trump.

In March, Fox News’ Judge Napolitano claimed that he had sources telling him Obama had asked foreign intelligence services to spy on Trump.

“Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command. He didn’t use the NSA, he didn’t use the CIA, he didn’t use the FBI and he didn’t use the Department of Justice,” said Judge Napolitano. “He used GCHQ.”

The United Kingdom denied it, Fox News denied they had knowledge of these sources, and they suspended Judge Napolitano, who maintained the truth of his assertion.

Trump cited Napolitano’s claim as evidence that he had been surveilled by the Obama administration before the election, an accusation he fired off in a tweet that spurred a congressional investigation into the matter.

Trump allies will likely use this report to bolster his claim that he was being surveilled by the prior administration, while critics of the president will point to this as more circumstantial evidence that there was collusion between the Trump camp and the Russians.

My Thoughts on CNN GOP Debate

Published by TheBlazeNow
Published on Sep 16, 2015

John R. Houk
© September 17, 2015

I DVRed the CNN GOP debate and watched it this morning. Upon my quick perusal online and on Cable News shows I got the feeling political pundits are giving Carly Fiorina the top spot and that the Dems are calling the debate a farce. Frankly I could care less what Dems think because in all probability the Dems won’t be involved in GOP Primaries and Caucuses. (Although the Dems have a reputation for registering the likes of Mickey Mouse, dead Uncle Joe, dead Aunt Jane, non-citizen/non-registered Illegal Aliens and so forth.)

Here is the order I felt debate winners should have went:

1)    Carly Fiorina

2)    John Kasich

3)    Marco Rubio

4)    Mike Huckabee

5)    Donald Trump

6)    Chris Christie

7)    Ted Cruz

8)    Ben Carson

9)    Scott Walker

10) Jeb Bush

11) Rand Paul

In full disclosure, I don’t think Donald Trump would be an effective President; HOWEVER Mr. Trump’s issue that rings with me is immigration (though maybe not quite as harsh). And frankly Trump’s make America strong and turn the screws to avoid bad deals ranks high with me as well (e.g. Obamacare & Iran Nuke Deal). For volumes of other issues (social & political) I have the feeling Mr. Trump could rub various Conservatives of political power the wrong way thus stalling legislation more than moving legislation along.

I ranked Carly Fiorina first because she displayed strength amongst the big boys, had a specific agenda to make America strong and respected again all surrounded with forthright confidence. I could care less that Ms. Fiorina is a woman. As a candidate she came across as resolute.

I’m a little surprised that John Kasich was given such a low rank by the pundit experts and the various unscientific polls I viewed on the Internet. I felt has campaign thoughts were very well reasoned. For example he wouldn’t simply toss out the Iran Nuke Deal but follow through the so-called snap-back stipulations of the deal when Iran fails on its part (AND MAKE NO MISTAKE – IRAN HAS NO INTENTION OF HONORING the Obama-Kerry deal). Frankly the Kasich reasoning will play better with our European allies who still enjoy our involvement in NATO yet starving for the potential oil Iran might offer.

Marco Rubio provided the best Conservative response among the U.S. Senators that went past the right words but included reasoned passion.

Mike Huckabee didn’t have a lot of time to make some political points, BUT the air time he managed to get was awesome. He was a good Conservative while avoiding the mutual insults that Donald Trump managed to drag his closest rivals into.

I ranked Trump after Huckabee. Let’s be honest. Trump is not number one in the polls because of details, but rather for giving voice to Americans weary of Obama’s screw-ups, immigration policies, all white people are evil – especially cops (e.g. Federal investigation in Ferguson aimed at police rather than an 18 year old thug), the ineffective debacle Americans call Obamacare and Executive Orders that by-pass Congress in a questionable Constitutional manner (e.g. Iran Nuke Deal). Even if Trump couldn’t pull off half of what he says he will do, because he says it, if nominated I will vote for him. In the GOP Primary in my State I’ll be voting for someone else.

I actually liked what Chris Christie said, but there something I can’t put my finger on that seems amenable to the Republican Establishment. Yet I’d vote for him if he was the nominee.

Ted Cruz was my early favorite when he first announced his candidacy for POTUS. AND I still like Senator Cruz a lot; however his debate performance looked more like campaign ad paid for and approved by Ted Cruz for President.

Ben Carson is another person I’d vote for if he won the nomination; however I sense this very nice guy’s neurosurgeon experience may not be enough to run the Executive Branch of the United States of America.

I like Scott Walker but his debate last night was not memorable.

If Jeb Bush won the nomination I’d vote for him. YET Jeb is too friendly on illegal immigrants and he is supportive of federally mandated Common Core. Although I felt the latter years of Jeb’s brother’s policy decisions too often was friendly with Muslims that were more Salafists than a notion of peaceful (e.g. CAIR), President George W. Bush was a hero in projecting strength after 9/11. He invaded Afghanistan for harboring al Qaeda and Usama bin Laden. Even though the intelligence was off on Iraq, G.W. Bush didn’t take chances and toppled a vicious dictator in Saddam Hussein. THE ONLY reason ISIS/Daesh became an Islamic terrorist power in Iraq and Syria has nothing to do with invading Iraq but rather with Obama pulling out of Iraq lock, stock and barrel. Iraq’s religious schism and the distrust of Iraqi Kurds of Arab Sunnis and Shias rise ripe for government disintegration.

I love Senator Rand Paul’s domestic agenda and his anti-abortion stand. However, his national policies of pseudo-isolationism is a Libertarian path that will result in the same outcomes that President Barack Hussein Obama has led America.

Well those are my two cents that I got a feeling a lot of my fellow Conservatives will find fault with; however November 2016 is far off still and the number of candidates will be whittled down substantially especially after the early Primaries and Caucuses.

Here are some polls and/or rankings from either an unscientific Internet vote or a political pundit.

Here is the complete list of results from the Newsmax poll (as of 2:15 PM CT):
Donald Trump 46.26%
Carly Fiorina 20.11%
Sen. Marco Rubio 9.32%
Dr. Ben Carson 9.22%
Sen. Ted Cruz 5.67%
Gov. John Kasich 3.10%
Gov. Chris Christie 2.14%
Gov. Jeb Bush 1.45%
Sen. Rand Paul 1.27%
Gov. Mike Huckabee 1.04%
Gov. Scott Walker 0.41% (Trump Is Runaway Debate Winner Newsmax Poll; By Cathy Burke; Newsmax; 9/17/15 08:40 AM)

The candidates? Here's how I'd [i.e. Bobby Eberle] rank them... not necessarily on substance (especially Bush) but rather how they did last night and whether their performance will tend to help them.
 1. Carly Fiorina -- Easy Pick. She won.
2. Marco Rubio -- Passionate answers and showed a grasp of the issues
3. Ted Cruz -- Needs to work on his delivery, but every single answer is the best.
4. Jeb Bush -- He was more energetic, and people will see it and his name, and he'll likely move up.
5. Chris Christie -- Answered everything well.
6. Mike Huckabee -- Great answers, just limited time.
7. Donald Trump -- He went in as the frontrunner and didn't hurt himself. However, he's going to need to add more substance going forward.
8. Ben Carson
9. Scott Walker
10. John Kasich
11. Rand Paul (GOP Candidates Spar for Three Hours... But Who Won? By Bobby Eberle; GOP USA; 9/17/15 7:13 am)

Carly Fiorina was the victor by acclamation, having clearly done her homework. It seemed as if she were giving a verbal PowerPoint presentation full of solid information and proposals for actually doing something. She clearly showed she belonged at the prime time debate.
But, contrary to Beltway groupthink, we think Marco Rubio outshined her. Rather than having crammed for an exam, policy was second nature to him. He was so familiar with the material, he did more than recite it — he showed he’d be comfortable leading with it. His mastery of issues put him head and shoulders above anyone else on the stage last night. (GOP Debate Overview and Highlights; By Mark Alexander and Nate Jackson; The Patriot Post; 9/17/15)

The Winners:
Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina were the two standouts in Wednesday’s debate.
Rubio brought an appealing mix of the common touch and tough talk on foreign policy to the debate stage. Unlike some other candidates, he didn’t seem like he was elbowing his way into the debate, so it “felt” like he was a featured speaker. He sounded like the grownup in the room when he tussled with Trump on foreign policy. …
Fiorina was smart and scrappy. Her Planned Parenthood screed was fantastic. She rightly redirected the focus away from the faux “women’s healthcare” straw man (straw woman?) to the real issue of Planned Parenthood selling chopped-up babies. Other candidates ought to take note. Carly does need to soften her edges a bit because she tends to dial it up to harsh and stay there.
 Middle of the Pack:
Ted Cruz was brilliant and in command of the facts …
Mike Huckabee’s shining moment was his defense of religious liberty. He noted that GITMO prisoners are afforded more religious accommodations than county clerks in Kentucky. He has a point.
Chris Christie also had a good night and he landed some solid blows in Trump’s direction. But he was crowded out by Carly and Rubio …
Walker had some good moments, but not enough of them. I honestly do not remember one thing he said.
Jeb Bush didn’t do anything to help himself in this debate, but he wasn’t as terrible as he could have been and didn’t cede any of his (already shaky) ground.  ...
 The Losers:
Ben Carson was out of his element. Completely. …
Donald Trump, as usual, was boorish and didn’t give substantive answers to important questions. …
Rand Paul tried to salvage his floundering campaign with appeals to the hardcore libertarians who supported his father, but he was too wonky and not likable.
John Kasich’s answers on foreign policy were bizarre. He seriously defended Obama’s Iran deal. And then he didn’t. Or did he? Who knows? He said two things that are in conflict: a) We shouldn’t trust the Iranians and b) if they cheat, the sanctions should be lifted. … [Blog Editor: I stand with my understanding of Kasich and the Iran Nuke Deal. See above.]

Here is how I [i.e. Brian] would rate the debate performances:
 1. Carly Fiorina – I would say Fiorina helped herself the most. She was very articulate and was able multiple times to reel off a litany of specifics on various subjects. She came across as tough and determined. You could see how she could be the person in the Oval Office. I will be shocked if Fiorina does not come out of this debate with a huge boost in the polls.
 2. Chris Christie – He was very good tonight, and should get a boost in the polls off of this performance. He was direct and tough, taking on several of his fellow-candidates on issues.
 3. Marco Rubio – While he comes across too much as if he is lecturing everyone, Rubio had a good night, focusing on Foreign Policy. He got a lot of time to talk, which should mean more of a lasting impression.
 4. Donald Trump – Trump did not really get hurt badly in this debate. I thought he might get really beaten up with everyone gunning for him. But he held his own, made no major gaffes, and should remain a strong candidate. A case could be made for him to be much higher in the debate ranking simply because, as the front-runner, he did no harm.
 5. Ted Cruz – He was very good – but got shorted on time. When he did speak, he clearly set himself forth as the true conservative on the stage.
 6. Jeb Bush – He had some good moments, but still came across as trying to hard sometimes in the exchanges with Donald Trump. But this was better than his first debate.
 7. Rand Paul – He got quite a bit of time to talk and he did well at articulating his more libertarian philosophy. I don’t think it will mean much of a boot in the polls, but he was better tonight than in the first debate.
 8. John Kasich – He didn’t get much time to talk and really did nothing to distinguish himself in this debate. He needed to do that.
 9. Mike Huckabee – He also didn’t get much talking time, and when he did, he didn’t really connect with what he was saying. He needed to have a “Wow” moment.
 10. Scott Walker – I don’t know what has happened to Walker. He seemed so detached and really does not connect with his answers. I think he did himself no good with this debate.
 11. Ben Carson – This really shocks me. But Carson truly hurt himself with this debate performance. I don’t know how much play it will get, but Ben Carson actually said George W. Bush should not have attacked Afghanistan after September 11, 2001. … (Rating the Candidates from the CNN GOP Presidential Debate: Fiorina Shines, Trump Holds His Own, Carson Stumbles; Posted by Brian; Freedom’s Lighthouse; 9/17/15)
