Love Bird Seeking Sanctuary in US

Intro to ‘Love Bird Seeking Sanctuary in US’
Edited by John R. Houk

Salma Peter John (Mistress) & Shahbaz Bhatti
Salma Peter John and Shahbaz Bhatti

Shamim Masih writes about a scandal that apparently that is being ignored by the Christian community in Pakistan because of the tragic circumstances surrounding the assassination of Shahbaz Bhatti. Shahbaz indeed died a hero being assassinated by the Taliban for being an activist against Pakistan’s Blasphemy Laws. Shahbaz was the only Christian in Pakistan’s government Cabinet at the time of his assassination.

The scandal is Shahbaz Bhatti had a live-in mistress named Salma Peter John. Shamim provides a sympathetic and favorable link to a story and Vimeo video pertaining to Ms. John’s devastation over her sugar daddy’s assassination. I bluntly use the term “sugar daddy” because apparently Ms. John was a kept woman in Pakistan and Shamim wonders who is footing her bills in the USA where she is trying to attain political refuge.

Below is the video I placed on Youtube.  I believe you need to watch the video to see how the writer of an article on PakistanChristian.org obviously sympathizes with Ms. John while only slipping in that Shahbaz’s father was not pleased with the living situation with Ms. John:

Both Salma and Shahbaz worked tirelessly to see the sprouting of the largest political party of Pakistani Christians, formerly Christian Liberation Front (CLF) and later All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), grow in all four provinces. Their three-directional-love for persecuted Christians, for each other and for Cammy’s traditional father was constantly at odds with each other. Here is Shamim Masih’s story.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minority Minister Shahbaz Bhatti was gunned down on March 02, 2011 by an extremist group in Islamabad. His followers planned to celebrate his death anniversary on Sunday, March 02 and his love bird (Salma Peter John) shattered her silence and shared a video link showing her unannounced relation with late Shahbaz Bhatti. She said, “Cammy was me and I was Cammy” (Cammy was Shahbaz Bhatti’s nickname). She claimed that she lived with him for fifteen years and so they had happy life but couldn’t manage to marry with Shahbaz Bhatti.

Salma worked as personal assistance – PA to Shahbaz Bhatti when he was Federal Minister for Minority Affairs. And that is what other knew about it……. A close circle of the minority minister was very well aware of his activities and thus others [were aware of] it as well, but didn’t disclose [the living situation]. On February 15, one of my articles was printed and my family friend wrote me that this article was great but I failed to mention Bhatti’s former “PA” fled to Philadelphia and is still living off another man supposedly active as a leader for Pakistani Christian cause. She mentioned that the big issue is why Christians should trust or respect these who not only deserted their own, but never lived a truly Christian life?

The real issue is the shame and scam these two brought on Pakistani Christians – but why no one wants to talk on that? If marriage is a Biblical standard and even more so a strong tradition of Pakistan, how could this “high profile” [couple] not be held to [Christian] standards? If a man loves and respects you he marries you – otherwise you are just being used. If the Bhatti family would not recognized her as even his partner in politics, much less romance, but [rather] wanted nothing to do with her, why should anyone else give her the time of day? And really when all is looked at what did S. Bhatti do to improve lives of Pakistani Christians?

From what I hear everyone knew she was S. Bhatti’s mistress, kept by him and that’s how she lived there. She is now shifted to the US but gets no dollars from the government until her asylum case is approved so she [can] get a car for a work permit. So how else is she living if not with and off someone else’s support or living on the savings from her time shacking up with Shahbaz Bhatti?

Be Blessed,
Shamim Masih

Christian PTI leader in trouble

Sajid Ishaq Sindhu
Shamim Masih writes about Sajid Ishaq Sindhu a Christian leader involved in Human Rights and Political Activism in Pakistan. Sindhu is a prominent leader that has become embroiled in an adultery scandal with one Shazia Zafar. Shamim paints a scathing picture of Shazia’s extramarital affairs which her husband Zafar Iqbal accuses Sindhu of being instrumental. That which I have read so far has Sajid Ishaq Sindhu denying any accusation of impropriety; nevertheless the political party Sindhu is involved with has removed him from activity at least until the legal issues are resolved.

Christian PTI leader in trouble
To be and not to be

Islamabad Pakistan (Shamim Masih): During the past week, Pakistani print media has raised a disruptive issue against the PTI Christian leader [SlantRight Editor: Sajid Ishaq Sindhu]. Below links will make it clear that all have upturned the issue leaving Pakistan Today - PT.

During the past time, it is observed that Pakistani media avoid raising minority issues; it is either Gojra incident or Rimsha’s blasphemy case. I do remember when Rimsha was arrested and Pakistani media stepped in second to international media, and I wrote about it as well. But when it a matter comes of character assassination, it’s active and has crossed journalist’s ethics as well.  It’s not the first time but Pakistani Christians have always been facing different kind of discrimination and its one of them. Let me give you the clear picture; during the said time I remain busy with my family matters and was not in the field.

There is no marriage that is problem free. Some marriages endure the ups and downs while others unfortunately fall to one of the very many reasons for divorce. Yet, it is not always the main causes for divorce that break marriages down. In many cases the marriage partners do not actually know the reasons and when those reasons become a problem.

Regarding this case [of accusing Sajid Ishaq Sindhu] I had few of the documents earlier and before writing this story I did get the copy of the First Investigation Report [according to Google better known as First Information Report] – FIR, which said that Mr. Zafar [Iqbal] (complainant) got married to Shazia in April 27, 1998 in Sainte Thomas Church, G-7/2 Islamabad.

According to Zafar (the complainant) after one year, Shazia Zafar was found in a love affair with her colleague Moen ul Islam Saddiqui, who was manager at Prime Commercial Bank, Islamabad.  After some time she was involved with another banker Asad Ali Noon, who works in Askari Bank. In 2007, Zafar found that she had relations with Sajid Ishaq (the accused) in this FIR. Zafar also claimed that he found many dirty pictures of Shazia with Asad Ali Noon. In his FIR, Zafar complained against many unknown people that were involved in this case.

Now see the links below, none of them have mentioned about these other people accused by Zafar, either they have not seen the copy of the FIR or they deliberately omit those people at the time of printing this news.

Zafar has also submitted the telephone calls’ record as part of the prosecution’s evidence which shows that Shazia had been handling others as well during the mean time. I am not defending Sajid Ishaq nor presenting him a virtuous but giving you the facts.

The rumor was in the vicinity for the last few months as Zafar had been in the court for the custody of the daughters and separation suit against his wife Shazia for months.

Both [Sajid Ishaq and Zafar Iqbal] were acquaintances for 20 years and were aware of each other and now one of them has become legendary in position in the main stream political party - Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf – PTI and it’s clearly seen that all allegations leveled against PTI the leader is to blackmail him.

The police official also seems inclined to either the complainant or the accused or both. Because the police didn’t register the FIR during the past months and now after the PTI leader has submitted his nomination papers with the Election Commission, doubt is created.

The couple [SlantRight Editor: I am guessing the couple referred to are Zafar Iqbal and his wife Shazia] has been living discretely for years, and the husband claimed that Sajid has played a pivotal role in ruining his life, but the fact written in his FIR says that they had not been leading happy life since one year of their marriage [SlantRight Editor: I am uncertain if the “one year” refers the first year of their marriage or to one year out of their marriage]. His wife had been involved with other men as well. So how come he claims that only Sajid Ishaq has ruined their family life? What about Moen ul Islam Saddiqui, and Asad Ali Noon who is still with her and finally his wife? If he has been faithful to his partner and remained in the union, they would have lived a happy life. Shazia might be annoyed of his behavior or character. The case is in the court and we should wait until the court’s judgment.

I wish that the local media would always raise the minority persecution issues and should bring in the usage of constitutional discrimination against religious minorities.

Be Blessed,

Shamim Masih

If I Were Ahmadinejad

Here is some interesting advice for Barack Hussein Obama to win reelection as President of the United States from Leslie J. Sacks.

If I Were Ahmadinejad

By Leslie J. Sacks
Sent: Oct 26, 2012 at 4:33 PM

The possibilities are fascinating. He may or may not be as rational as many assume, considering his messianic beliefs in the coming of the Madji (the Shi'ite version of the coming of the Christ). However, he certainly is wily, manipulative, devious, and a superb strategist operating amorally with patient political acumen.

BHO extending to Ahmadinejad holding bomb toon

If I were Ahmadinejad, I would offer the White House a deal they could not refuse:

-Iran would agree to cease enriching uranium over 20% concentration.

-The White House would in turn agree to reduce sanctions against Iran.

-The Obama campaign desperately needs a game changer now that the debates and post-debate dialogue seems to be going Romney's way. A deal with the Iranians would be such a revelation and the only proof of success for the White House foreign policy of negotiation and accommodation.

-This political coup could well swing the election back the Democrats.

-After November 6, Obama will have another four years and Ahmadinejad will have reduced sanctions, and increased prestige and power.

After a while Iran will likely revert back to its nefarious activities and sanctions may possibly be reimposed. DespiteIran's deception, Obama would at least, for his part, remain in office and continue implementing his remaking of the world in his image. Ahmadinejad would not have to deal with an implacable Romney, who clearly has campaigned as a formidable obstacle to Iran and their nuclear ambitions. Romney sees nuclear Iran as the preeminent enemy of the USA and Ahmadinejad knows this well, if he knows anything. So in Ahmadinejad's playbook, a preferable Obama is a pushover compared to the Republican ticket.

The State Department has 1460 days and Obamas 4-year term to conclude a deal. It is conceivable that only in the last 14 days of this term the White House will manage to expediently cut a deal. Gaming the system, even for dispassionate observers, is clearly an inescapable conclusion. This deal will, if enacted, become Obama's Watergate just as the seeming cover-up of the Al Qaeda terrorist attack in Benghazi (within Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans murdered) is fast becoming one too. It is tragic that members of both parties so willingly politicize the debate, risking further the security of Israel and the USA in their unstoppable quest for one-upmanship.

So words and pieces of paper can help swing an election.

Checkmate.

Could Israel’s Internecine Politics Threaten its Existence?

John R. Houk
© August 7, 2010

Ari Bussel writes on a scandalous issue within Israel. Apparently Haim Ramon and Saeb Erekat met at a restaurant of the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem. Ramon is a member of Israel’s Kadima Party and Erekat is a high level negotiator for the Palestinian Authority (PA) representing PA leader Mahmoud Abbas in Israel/Palestine Two-State negotiations.

I say apparently because Bussel regards the meeting as a factual occurrence while Israel’s President Shimon Peres and Saeb Erekat such a meeting took place. The story goes that a person in the restaurant was sitting close to Erekat at another table and overheard Ramon and Erekat speaking the Two-State negotiations ongoing between Israel and the PA. The topic of the conversion overheard was that Ramon was sent by President Peres (also of Kadima Party) to Erekat to tell him to hold off from negotiating with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government (led by Likkud) because a Kadima led government will be more accommodating to the PA side.

If this is true (And remember mutual denials have been issued), it is a case of Israel’s Head of State in President Peres is actively working against Israel’s Head of Government Prime Minister Netanyahu. Israel is a Parliamentarian nation that elects a President with very little political power as Head of State. The Israeli Government is totally dependent on support from the Israeli Parliament which is known as the Knesset. If a political party in the Knesset does not have a clear majority, then the political party that has gained the most seats is responsible to put together a coalition government of various political parties that act as a block supporting the Government. In the next election the process is repeated or the Government must resign if for some reason the Knesset produces a no-confidence vote that is greater than the Prime Minister’s authority.

Under this system of government the Office of Prime Minister operates what Americans would call the Executive Branch; i.e. the PM is the boss with the Ministers of the Cabinet having substantial power for they may represent percentages of the political parties in the Knesset coalition block.

So going back to the “if this is true” stipulation, it would be like the Senate Majority Leader or the Speaker of the House negotiating with a foreign government with options definitely not part of the agenda of the President of the United States. That is not an exact representation but it is close enough to get the idea across. In America such an act would have to be a crime that might border on treason depending on the content of exchange with a foreign nation.

Here are the denials as reported in the Jerusalem Post and Haaretz newspaper media outlets:

Beit Hanassi has issued statement denying allegations that former government minister and current chairman of the Kadima Council Haim Ramon had been sent by President Shimon Peres to talk to Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat.

The denial follows a sensational broadcast on Israel Radio on Thursday in which political reporter, commentator and anchorwoman Ayala Hasson interviewed someone who had sat at the next table to Erekat and Ramon at the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem and had clearly overheard Ramon advising Erekat as to how to proceed in relation to the policies of the Netanyahu-led government.

The interviewee, whose voice was distorted, was asked by Hasson whether he had recorded the conversation and he declined to answer. Later in the program when Hasson was talking to lawyer Amnon Zichroni she asked him "a hypothetical question" as to whether it was illegal to record a conversation held in a public place, which seemed to indicate that she knew that the conversation had in fact been recorded.

In can presumed that the recording device was in his cell phone, which he probably put on the table in full view of anyone who cared to look.

According to the interview, Erekat had asked Ramon who he was representing and Ramon had replied that he had been sent by President Shimon Peres.

President Peres never asked Haim Ramon to meet with Saeb Erekat. Any claim to the contrary is an outright lie, says the statement from Beit Hanassi.

The statement goes on to point out that Peres does not need any intermediaries to talk on his behalf to the Palestinians.

The President meets on a regular basis with leaders from all over the world including members of the Palestinian leadership.

Beit Hanassi deplores the use of the President's name at a meeting in which had neither direct nor indirect contact, the statement concludes.
(Jerusalem Post 7-29-10)

Here is a shorter Haaretz reporting on Saeb Erekat’s denial:
Erekat also denied a report by Israel Radio that Haim Ramon, a former minister and lawmaker from the opposition Kadima party, had urged the PA not to enter into direct negotiations with the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"I am astounded at times to see how low these stories can go," Erekat said. "Ramon didn't tell me to enter direct talks or not to enter them. Such a thing never happened, and no Israeli will tell us anything along those lines."

Erekat also denied that Ramon had been sent at the behest of President Shimon Peres. "Do not drag us into your internal politics," he added.
(Haaretz 8-1-10)

It appears to me that Israel’s Kadima Party and the PA are engaging in that time honored political practice of plausible deniability.

Such a scandal to exist in Israel’s fragile demographic position surrounded by anti-Semitic hatred is evidence that Israel’s politics may be just as great a threat to its existence than the designs of Islamic terrorists and the open belligerence of Iran and Syria.
