DNC Leftists Shout ‘No More War’

When the DNC Leftists were shouting "No more war" to Leon Panetta & a U.S. General vainly trying to inspire Patriotism among the Dems, this Reagan video of peace through strength should have been shown.

No arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. -Ronald Reagan

Hello,

I am Caleb Andrew, the owner on the Reagan Republicans community. You see here we believe that America is and always will be the best nation on Earth. However it is in danger, our economy is weak, our infrastructure is crumbling, our influence on the world is deteriorating, and our moral values are becoming inevitably unimportant. However President Ronald Reagan was an optimistic man who loved his God and country and the American people are strong willed and courageous, we have the ability and the will to fix our country and rebuild the American Dream. This community is READ THE REST

"Now let's set the record straight. There's no argument over the choice between peace and war, but there's only one guaranteed way you can have peace—and you can have it in the next second—surrender.

Admittedly, there's a risk in any course we follow other than this, but every lesson of history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement, and this is the specter our well-meaning liberal friends refuse to face—that their policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender. If we continue to accommodate, continue to back and retreat, eventually we have to face the final demand—the ultimatum. And what then—when Nikita Khrushchev has told his people he knows what our answer will be? He has told them that we're retreating under the pressure of the Cold War, and someday when the time comes to deliver the final ultimatum, our surrender will be voluntary, because by that time we will have been weakened from within spiritually, morally, and economically. He believes this because from our side he's heard voices pleading for "peace at any price" or "better Red than dead," or as one commentator put it, he'd rather "live on his knees than die on his feet." And therein lies the road to war, because those voices don't speak for the rest of us.

You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. If nothing in life is worth dying for, when did this begin—just in the face of this enemy? Or should Moses have told the children of Israel to live in slavery under the pharaohs? Should Christ have refused the cross? Should the patriots at Concord Bridge have thrown down their guns and refused to fire the shot heard 'round the world? The martyrs of history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis didn't die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well it's a simple answer after all.

You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, "There is a price we will not pay." "There is a point beyond which they must not advance." Winston Churchill said, "The destiny of man is not measured by material computations. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we're spirits—not animals." And he said, "There's something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty."

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny.

We'll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we'll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

A Poetic Prayer - America the Beautiful

America the Beautiful

Judge Roy Moore is the President of the Foundation for Moral Law. The evil ACLU was instrumental in having Judge Moore removed from his judgeship in Alabama. The reason that got the ACLU all upset about is that Judge Moore refused to remove the 10 Commandments from a position of dignity at the Court House he presided.

Now that you have a little background on Judge Roy Moore, I received a chain email that is attributed to the Judge. The chain email is a poem about America’s moral decline. Usually chain email is at best a distortion of something that has started out as authentic and then warped by time or is a total scam with such notorious goals of collecting email addresses or worse infect our computers with some kind of virus or Trojan.

The chain email is a poem entitled, “America the Beautiful.” According to Urban Legends at About.com the poem has circulated since 1997 before Judge Moore’s fame emerged over his 10 Commandments defense. Evidently the poem was accredited to “Anonymous” way back in 1997. Urban Legends does affirm the poem is by Judge Roy Moore; however as usual time may have enhanced the wording a bit.

Here is that chain email in the form that I received it.

I rarely forward anything like this, but I feel this judge's situation highlights the utter depravity and hypocrisy of our nation.  We need a dramatic turn around.  I'm willing to circulate this to my friends.....please take a minute to think about this one.

ALABAMA JUDGE ROY MOORE

Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall. Please read the poem he wrote. It's below his picture.

Roy Moore (Judge) September 13, 2011

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama ... Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama! The judge's poem sums it up quite well.

America the beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine
choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain

From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray

We've kept God in our
temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.
We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges;
who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well-deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not
angry, that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven;
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
If you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee.
~~Judge Roy Moore~~

This says it all. May we all forward this message and offer our prayers for Judge Moore to be blessed and for America to wake up and realize what we need to do to keep OUR - America the Beautiful.

Pass this on and let's lift Judge Moore up in Prayer. He has stood firm and needs our support.

IN GOD WE TRUST!

Here are some comments on the post, “Can Homosexuals be Conservatives?” The comments are from the multiple blogs in which I posted my random thoughts based on a debate between WND’s Joseph Farah and GOProud’s Christopher Barron.

Comment by JA

A conservative can be a homosexual just as much as a liberal or independent, can be one.

Can a conservative, liberal or independent be a Christian? He can, but doesn't have to be.

Can a homosexual be a Christian without a war going on in his innards? NO! Not a good candidate for office. He/she would have too many spiritual & social conflicts to be a good representative of the people. And especially to remain conservative once in office. The two are in constant conflict.

Sure you can. Don't forget not all conservatives are Christians. The word is losing it's value to where now we have Christian/conservative and just plain conservative....I agree with GIT...if people think they can be a practicing homosexual and be a Christian they are being seriously mislead by the society we live in.

I agree with Git too. I just think the question is so strange. Anyone can be a homosexual, with or without regards to their political beliefs. The real hot question would be: Can a person of faith in Christ, be a homosexual? My answer to that is: Many have been, but have changed their orientation after knowing Christ as their Lord.

JRH Thoughts

These are interesting thoughts fellow readers. Another question came up: Can one be a Conservative (inclusive of fiscal policy, Original Constitutional Intent, Conservative values which are intrinsic to Christianity) and not be a Christian? This is a wide open question with many variables. In America Conservative politics and Christianity are symbiotic in relationship. Yet one can be an atheistic Conservative by espousing the principles of Conservatism. This is to say an atheist Conservative would support the Christian values which are inherent in Conservatism while denying the existence of God or perhaps as the Deists of the American Founding Fathers the direct action of God in human affairs. Founding Father Deists considered themselves Christians and believed in the Creator of the Bible yet doubted a Supreme Being directly moved the events of the present. Confusingly the Deist Christian believed in Divine Providence yet the outcome of material existence depended on humanity lining up with Providence and not Providence moving the affairs of humanity. Thus a Deist Christian of America (European Deists did differ) fully believed the tenets of the Christian Bible should be followed without believing in the supernatural miracles of the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Christian Deists, devout Christians and nominal Christians among the Founding Fathers and the early Republic agreed that Christianity is the basis for the rule of law in America. Without Christian morality the Founding Fathers believed America would be corrupt and cease to be the good envisioned by the founders of this new experiment in Constitutional government by the enfranchised people.

In this line of thinking an atheist can be a Conservative.

I cannot see how a homosexual can be a Conservative without following the tenets of Christianity influencing the rule of law and societal morality. A self-proclaimed homosexual-Conservative is kind of like a picture of a carnivorous snake telling a rabbit, "I believe in the same things you do my cuddly rabbit friend. Draw near so we can dialogue together about our mutual beliefs." The rabbit draws near assured that his mortal enemy has changed his scales to think just like Rabbit. As Rabbit draws near to carnivorous snake, the snake’s well meaning good intentions are overcome by the serpentine desire to sup on the innocent Rabbit. As the Conservative Snake and Conservative Rabbit draw near on mutual principles the twisted instinct of Carnivorous snake devours innocent Rabbit.

Letter to all signers of the Manhattan Declaration

My fellow Christians of all denominations and creeds, have you heard or remember the appeal for Christians to ban together to fight against the anti-Christian sentiment of the Left? There was an original 140 signatories who made their appeal and labeled it the Manhattan Declaration. The Declaration had three truths as a platform to combat anti-Christian or Christophobic sentiment:

    1. The sanctity of human life

    2. The dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife

    3. The rights of conscience and religious liberty.

Below is an emailed update on the Manhattan Declaration with an appeal to spread the word to gain an influential amount of signatures that will make the anti-Christian Left a bit nervous.

Manhattan Declaration

Dear colleague,

Thank you for your support of the Manhattan Declaration.

It is off to an amazing start - over 370,000 signers and growing. And it is indeed historic: Evangelicals, Catholics, Anglicans, and Eastern Orthodox Christians uniting to give common witness to the sanctity of human life, the dignity of marriage, and religious liberty for all persons.

But we need your help: our goal is one million signatures.

The marketing pros tell us we will never get to a million signatures without expensive advertising. But we want to prove them wrong. And we can: just think if each person who has signed the Declaration were to get just two others to sign. That would be one million people standing arm in arm in defense of the most vital moral truths in our society.

Remember, too, we are not just collecting signatures; we seek a movement of people defending the truth in the public square. We are already witnessing signs of this: Christians in Mobile, Alabama called us 13 days before Christmas to tell us they were planning a large ecumenical gathering for the 23rd of December. I (Chuck Colson) agreed to speak. At 6:00 AM on December 23, 2,000 citizens, led by clergy from all over the city, gathered in a packed hall in the Convention Center for a rousing rally. Seldom have I seen so much excitement in one room - and all of this was accomplished just by word of mouth with only 11 days to organize!

Just ten days ago, Cardinal Rigali of Philadelphia, Archbishop Wuerl of Washington, DC, Archbishop Dolan of New York and Archbishop Kurtz of Louisville reached out to all of their brother Catholic bishops asking them to spread this document throughout their dioceses and encourage their clergy and faithful to study it and join as signatories.

The Archbishop of Detroit has planned a grassroots effort throughout his archdiocese. The Bishop of Phoenix has already organized a grassroots effort there.

We are also receiving many reports of evangelical gatherings in a number of areas - and many evangelical pastors referring to the Manhattan Declaration in their sermons.

This bold and exciting movement needs to reach 100 or 200 cities in America. Why not? Can you help? We are urging you to encourage your pastors and community leaders to do what these other cities are doing. Organize ecumenical meetings organized around the Manhattan Declaration; get other concerned citizens to join the effort. Get on the internet or phone and ask friends to join you. If you let us know you want to organize something we can help link you up with others in your area.

As with any grassroots movement, the strength and energy has to come from the people. We have no staff and limited budget. We're people who care passionately and deeply about life, marriage, and liberty. So here's what we are asking you to do.

    • Pray fervently. Great movements of faith have always spread on the wings of prayer.

    • Know the issues. If you study this Declaration - and a study guide is available on our website - then you can winsomely explain and defend it to your neighbors and friends. The document itself makes a great apologetic defense for these moral truths.

    • Look for resources on this website as we're able to post them, and search the websites of the Christian organizations that offer resources in these three areas. You can see the names of the various leaders who have signed the Declaration and then visit their websites.

    • Of utmost importance, get your own church involved. As pastors preach, the movement will spread. Prayer meetings and Bible studies on the Declaration are being conducted in many churches, which is a great step.

    • Make full use of Facebook, Twitter, and all the devices available today for social networking. Or just go to gatherings in your own community and speak out on this issue. Cultures are changed over the backyard fence, the barbeque grill, and in hair salons - always from the bottom up. Do everything you can possibly do to educate others.

    • Organize local gatherings like the one in Mobile. If you want an audio or video of Chuck Colson's talk at the event, you will be able to see it on the website in the next few days. You can also read a firsthand report on how they did this.

    • If you are a pastor or ministry leader let us know if you would like to be added to the Additional Signers list on the website.

Just think what might happen in our land if one million courageous Christians declared their uncompromising allegiance to Jesus Christ and to biblical faithfulness on some of the most urgent moral issues of our day.

May God give us the strength to do what He is so clearly calling us to do. From our perspective, this is a cause worth giving every last ounce of effort and energy we have.
