Is Obama Administration Encouraging Islamic Fifth Column?

Rep. Louis Gohmert (TX-R) exposes just how much the U.S. government has been infiltrated by the Radical Islamic Fifth Column today. Now I certain that President Bush began to allow this Fifth Column idiocy more out of advice to prevent American rage at all Muslims because of the Islamic act of war of attacking American soil on September 11, 2001. I believe that was bad advice acted upon with good intentions.

Then there is the Obama Administration! Even before President Barack Hussein Obama was elected to Office on the LIE of “Change,” he had many associations with Muslim apologists that defended Islam more as a deception to validate all Islam rather than to admit the dark side of Islam. It is the dark side of Islam that should illicit fear in Americans; hence Islamophobia. However, not the kind of fear that leads to hatred, rather the kind of fear that leads to anger. Angry at what?

Angry that the core values of Islam desires to “Change” American Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness because those values and rights do not exist in Islam particularly to non-Muslims. Islam does not care about the rights of non-Muslims; however it does care about the rights of Muslims except where Sharia Law is violated, Mohammed is insulted, Allah is insulted or Islam in general is insulted. The nature of Islam requires harsh punishment even for Muslims that step outside the box of listed freedoms available. Hence ALL criticism – warranted or unwarranted – in Islam for either Muslim or non-Muslim is punishable within Islamic culture.

Americans should be angry when anti-American Fifth Column Muslims operate to dilute the U.S. Constitution by using the word “Islamophobia” as a race violation. Islamophobes as I am, that expose the dark side of Islam are not racists. Exposing Islam is protecting the U.S. Constitution and American heritage. This is the America that Obama wants changed and will utilize Islamic culturalism to offset the Christian heritage with the agenda of allowing anti-religion Leftism to give Christianity the boot.

It is a foolish tact by Leftists because a neutralized Christianity quite probably enables Islam to touch human emotions. In the case of Islam those emotions are not love of fellow humanity but only the love of Muslims. All else must be eliminated for there to be submission of one mindset even if the elimination is processed in a violent and reprehensible manner.

With that in mind Rep. Gohmert takes Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to task about Radical Islamic people infiltrating the government that has more of an agenda to support Radical Islam (ergo Islamic terrorists) than the U.S. Constitution and American Culture with a Christian Heritage.

Mohamed Elibiary – Whistleblower or Muslim Fifth Column?

Stealth Jihad continues in America and shamefully in American government. Mohamed Elibiary has cozied himself up to the Obama Administration as a “Moderate Muslim”. Elibiary acquaintances have duped the government yet I doubt he has duped President Barack Hussein Obama. President BHO is not a dummy. Leftist does not necessarily equal dummy.

Elibiary has publically placed Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini on a pedestal of honor. That is not the action of a Muslim who is of the alleged persuasion of Moderate.

Robert Spencer writes about the potential – probable – crime of leaking classified documents to a Left Wing media outlet. The documents were a part of a data base shared between law enforcement agencies in Texas. Elibiary’s reasoning for leaking the documents was to demonstrate Islamophobia rampant within law enforcement agencies.

So is Elibiary a whistleblower exposing an illogical hatred of Islam or an Islamist utilizing the Left to throw a monkey wrench into the investigative process in finding American government for an Islamist agenda?

Mohamed Elibiary is that hottest of commodities: The moderate Muslim who will stand forthrightly against terrorism. Youthful, engaging and well-spoken, Elibiary’s star has been on the rise for years. In October 2010, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano named him to the Homeland Security Advisory Council.

But as so often happens with Muslims that the media or government rushes to anoint as the Great Moderate Hope (remember, the New York Times praised Anwar al-Awlaki as a moderate after 9/11), Elibiary is now under a cloud. He is suspected of leaking highly sensitive intelligence documents to a media outlet - and Napolitano is stonewalling.

Investigative journalist Patrick Poole reported at PJ Media last week that “Elibiary may have been given access to a sensitive database of state and local intelligence reports, and then allegedly shopped some of those materials to a media outlet.” According to Poole, Elibiary approached “a left-leaning media outlet” with reports marked For Official Use Only that he said demonstrated rampant “Islamophobia” in the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The media outlet declined to do a story, but what was Elibiary doing shopping them Official Use Only documents in the first place?

Poole checked with Steve McCraw, Director of the Texas DPS, who “confirmed that Elibiary has access to the Homeland Security State and Local Intelligence Community of Interest (HS SLIC) database, which contains hundreds of thousands of intelligence reports and products that are intended for intelligence sharing between law enforcement agencies.” Said McCraw of Elibiary: “We know that he has accessed DPS documents and downloaded them.”

Questioned last week about Elibiary’s activities by Rep. Louie Gohmert (R.-Tex), Napolitano professed ignorance and didn’t even seem to know who he was - which strained credulity, because she swore him in to the DHS Advisory Council. The DHS website still carries a press release proudly listing his accomplishments, and the record is impressive indeed:

Mohamed Elibiary has advised numerous federal, state and local law enforcement organizations, including the Texas Department of Safety, and National Counterterrorism Center Global Engagement Group on matters relating to homeland security. Recently, Elibiary served on DHS' Homeland Security Advisory Council Countering Violent Extremism Working Group, and currently serves on the Texas Department of Public Safety Advisory Board.

Elibiary has been working along such lines for many years. Yet there have been questions about his moderate bona fides for a number of years as well. He was one of the speakers at a December 2004 conference in Dallas titled "A Tribute to the Great Islamic Visionary." The visionary in question was none other than the founding father of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ayatollah Khomeini.

When questioned about his appearance at such a conference, Elibiary claimed that he hadn’t known what kind of conference it was going to be, although he did not explain why he went ahead and appeared there anyway once he found out. Among those who found this explanation wanting was journalist Rod Dreher of the Dallas Morning News, whose skepticism angered Elibiary. The great moderate subsequently threatened Dreher, telling him: "Expect someone to put a banana in your exhaust pipe."

Yet despite all this, Elibiary still got his appointment to the DHS Advisory Council - and not just Napolitano, but everyone with whom he has worked seems to have been completely blindsided by the new allegations. Steve McCraw seemed particularly crestfallen, saying: “If in fact this happened, we will be extremely disappointed in him. We’ve worked with him and other groups to get their comments regarding a wide range of issue in order to be inclusive.”

Ah, inclusiveness - what could be more important? Dare I suggest that a genuine concern for national security ought to trump even that most sacred of things, inclusiveness and diversity? Mohamed Elibiary has risen as far as he has without ever being properly vetted because government and law enforcement officials, and the media, are so avid to find a moderate Muslim who will stand against Islamic jihad terrorism that they will accept virtually anyone’s claim to be just that, no questions asked.

The Mohamed Elibiary incident, whether or not the allegations against him are true, should lead officials to be more careful in the future, and perhaps even to adopt a more realistic view of Islamic belief and its implications for terror and national security. But it won’t.

Frustrated? Concerned? Infuriated?

Guy Rodgers writes an e-newsletter for Brigitte Gabriel’s ACT! For America (ACT profile). Rodgers advocates the reading of two stories concerning December 25, 2009. In the first story points out a bit of frustrating discrepancy in the arrest of an American citizen with an American address who allegedly has taken the path of a common criminal by committing felony robbery of a Chinese restaurant with the arrest of the Islamic undie-bomber who failed in an act of war by attempting the homicidal-suicide of innocent civilians on Northwest Flight 253 arriving in Detroit from Amsterdam.

The point of the first story is that the enemy combatant Islamic-terrorist is afforded the same rights a person allegedly responsible for felony robbery. A person who should be a POW is Mirandized. That is nuts!

The second story is the thoughts from Charles Krauthammer on the Obama Administration’s denial that a Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) exists. Specifically he cites Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s incompetence in managing her office in being the tool of President Barack Hussein Obama in making the GWOT a politically correct desensitized civilian criminal conflict. That is more nutty thinking.

Treating terrorism as an ordinary crime

Two men have been charged by law enforcement authorities with committing criminal acts on Christmas Day 2009. The first, Joseph T. Knox, 43, of 6092 North Main St. in Sandy Creek, N.Y., was charged with attempted first-degree felony robbery of the China One restaurant, located next door to his residence. New York State Police said Knox brandished a knife during the bungled robbery. Bail was set at $10,000, and, if convicted, Knox could face up to 25 years in prison.

The second, Nigerian national Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, of no known permanent address, was charged with attempting to blow up Northwest Airlines Flight 253 bound for Detroit from Amsterdam. If convicted, Abdulmutallab could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

In other words, in President Obama's America, a man charged with brandishing a knife during a failed attempt to rob a local eatery could get more prison time than an aspiring suicide bomber who tried unsuccessfully to ignite explosives that would have incinerated him and nearly 300 other passengers and crew members on board Flight 253. This disparity unmasks the illogic of dealing with Islamic terrorists as if they are mere criminal defendants deserving of the same constitutional rights as common thieves.

Like Knox, Abdulmutallab was told he had a right to remain silent, and he took full advantage of it. Then, as if to turn terrorism into the moral equivalent of shoplifting, prosecutors offered Abdulmutallab a plea bargaining deal in return for his cooperation. This was done, according to White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan, so that Abdulmutallab would know "there are certain things that are on the table, and if he wants to engage with us in a productive manner, there are ways that he can do that."

If Obama is serious about "doing everything in our power" to stop terrorism, he will instead treat Abdulmutallab, along with all other terrorists attempting in the name of Islamic extremism to destroy America, as enemy combatants on a par with irregular guerrillas. Such fighters use civilian clothes to disguise their murderous intentions and are thereby not covered by the Geneva Convention for prisoners of war.

The appropriate response to such individuals is interrogation using accepted techniques for extracting militarily useful information, followed by a military tribunal to establish the facts in all cases and execution for those justly convicted. Anything less makes the protection and preservation of our nation no more important than punishing an inept restaurant robber in a small town in upstate New York.

A terrorist war Obama has denied

Janet Napolitano -- former Arizona governor, now overmatched secretary of homeland security -- will forever be remembered for having said of the attempt to bring down an airliner over Detroit: "The system worked." The attacker's concerned father had warned U.S. authorities about his son's jihadist tendencies. The would-be bomber paid cash and checked no luggage on a transoceanic flight. He was nonetheless allowed to fly, and would have killed 288 people in the air alone, save for a faulty detonator and quick actions by a few passengers.

Heck of a job, Brownie.

The reason the country is uneasy about the Obama administration's response to this attack is a distinct sense of not just incompetence but incomprehension. From the very beginning, President Obama has relentlessly tried to play down and deny the nature of the terrorist threat we continue to face. Napolitano renames terrorism "man-caused disasters." Obama goes abroad and pledges to cleanse America of its post-9/11 counterterrorist sins. Hence, Guantanamo will close, CIA interrogators will face a special prosecutor, and Khalid Sheik Mohammed will bask in a civilian trial in New York -- a trifecta of political correctness and image management.

And just to make sure even the dimmest understand, Obama banishes the term "war on terror." It's over -- that is, if it ever existed.

Obama may have declared the war over. Unfortunately, al-Qaeda has not. Which gives new meaning to the term "asymmetric warfare."

And produces linguistic -- and logical -- oddities that littered Obama's public pronouncements following the Christmas Day attack. In his first statement, Obama referred to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab as "an isolated extremist." This is the same president who, after the Fort Hood, Tex., shooting, warned us "against jumping to conclusions" -- code for daring to associate the mass murder there with Nidal Hasan's Islamist ideology. Yet, with Abdulmutallab, Obama jumped immediately to the conclusion, against all existing evidence, that the would-be bomber acted alone.

More jarring still were Obama's references to the terrorist as a "suspect" who "allegedly tried to ignite an explosive device." You can hear the echo of FDR: "Yesterday, December 7, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- Japanese naval and air force suspects allegedly bombed Pearl Harbor."

Obama reassured the nation that this "suspect" had been charged. Reassurance? The president should be saying: We have captured an enemy combatant -- an illegal combatant under the laws of war: no uniform, direct attack on civilians -- and now to prevent future attacks, he is being interrogated regarding information he may have about al-Qaeda in Yemen.

Instead, Abdulmutallab is dispatched to some Detroit-area jail and immediately lawyered up. At which point -- surprise! -- he stops talking.

This absurdity renders hollow Obama's declaration that "we will not rest until we find all who were involved." Once we've given Abdulmutallab the right to remain silent, we have gratuitously forfeited our right to find out from him precisely who else was involved, namely those who trained, instructed, armed and sent him.

This is all quite mad even in Obama's terms. He sends 30,000 troops to fight terror overseas, yet if any terrorists come to attack us here, they are magically transformed from enemy into defendant.

The logic is perverse. If we find Abdulmutallab in an al-Qaeda training camp in Yemen, where he is merely preparing for a terror attack, we snuff him out with a Predator -- no judge, no jury, no qualms. But if we catch him in the United States in the very act of mass murder, he instantly acquires protection not just from execution by drone but even from interrogation.

The president said that this incident highlights "the nature of those who threaten our homeland." But the president is constantly denying the nature of those who threaten our homeland. On Tuesday, he referred five times to Abdulmutallab (and his terrorist ilk) as "extremist[s]."

A man who shoots abortion doctors is an extremist. An eco-fanatic who torches logging sites is an extremist. Abdulmutallab is not one of these. He is a jihadist. And unlike the guys who shoot abortion doctors, jihadists have cells all over the world; they blow up trains in London, nightclubs in Bali and airplanes over Detroit (if they can); and are openly pledged to war on America.

Any government can through laxity let someone slip through the cracks. But a government that refuses to admit that we are at war, indeed, refuses even to name the enemy -- jihadist is a word banished from the Obama lexicon -- turns laxity into a governing philosophy.
