Ray DiLorenzo posted an insightful opinion that is closer to truth at the Canada Free Press today entitled, “Opposition Politics or Having Nothing In Common: It is now clear we no longer have anything in common. It has poisoned opposition politics and now the country”. I first read the post thanks to Donald Moore via the email Social Platform WorldNewsChat@groups.io.

 

Then I read Carla’s response on the same platform:

I added responding to Carla:

 

“I agree. A civil is coming to decide America's future: A transformed (socially & politically) collective republic OR the MAGA supported Founders' Republic. Whoever wins will undoubtedly suspend (or trash) the Constitution to purge the losers from government. If MAGA wins it will probably be a more extreme version of post-civil war Reconstruction. If Dem-Marxists win, wait for reeducation camps, concentration camps and mass executions.”

The 1850s were much like our country today. Democrats and Republicans were bitterly divided. On May 22, 1856, Congressman Preston Brooks (D-SC) entered the Senate Chamber, walked over to Senator Charles Sumner (R-MA), and repeatedly beat the senator over the head with his cane until he was rendered unconscious. The congressman was offended by the senator's objection to slavery.

 

We no longer have anything in common--the Left wants a communist state

 

The issues have taken a turn but not the melodrama. At that time, the primary issues were slavery and states' rights. Today, the issues are much more basic. Radical leftists have taken over the Democrat Party, abandoning the nation our founders built. They want a country without Judeo-Christian ethics, without rich and poor, and without classes of any sort. They want total economic equality, collectivism, redistribution, social and economic justice (?), the end to legal structures like property rights, and a country without borders. They want a robust skepticism toward courts and police departments. They want a sort of no-fault criminal system.

 

When I say collectivism, I mean rights are no longer granted to the individual but to the collective...the common good, whatever that means.

 

They want a communist state. They will be deceived; their plan will not eliminate the elites they hate so much. It will expand the elites to include the Left's leadership. Their plans are identical to those of every communist state that has ever existed. They believe they can achieve their goals more effectively, despite contradicting the fundamental aspects of human nature, which include ambition and the desire to improve oneself.

 

We no longer have anything in common.

 

Our Constitution cannot work under those circumstances. John Adams said it well: "The Constitution was made for a religious and moral people. It is totally inadequate for the government of any other." It is no wonder today's Democrats want a constitution rewrite. Religion and morality will have no place in their vision of a 'new' America. If they do have a morality, it will be a construct of their own godless wisdom. God help them.

 

Our politics are filled with hypocrisy, corruption, neglect, fraud, and whining

 

They want something that cannot exist successfully in any ethical society. For instance, they demand the finest free healthcare but offer no reward for providing it.

 

Opposition politics was designed to encourage accountability, promote diverse opinions, improve policies, and facilitate compromise. But what has happened is now we have the proverbial throwing the baby out with the bathwater. But now it's the country that is getting thrown out.

 

Our politics has become as mean as a junkyard dog, resembling a merciless game. It is filled with hypocrisy, corruption, neglect, fraud, and whining. Five years ago, Democrats bitterly complained that Maduro was enslaving his people. Now they complain that Trump did something about it. Senators record a video warning the military about Trump's illegal orders when there were none to be found. Obama issued several highly questionable orders with no objection from the Left. To the Democrat Party, President Trump cannot do anything right. It's a no-win on every side. Symbolism over substance.

 

It’s opposition politics at its worst.

 

No one who is lucid can say the Dems fought tirelessly for a better country during the Biden years. Heck, lunchtime was the end of Biden's workday. Biden's term marked the rush to change America. Morality was cast aside, there was no justice for victims of crime, stores were openly looted, they memorialized criminals, and the law was nowhere to be found except to punish Trump. Our borders were completely opened to every alien, criminal, miscreant, mental patient, or foreign enemy. Thousands of migrants and Americans have died as a result.

 

The opposition's message is plain...they hate our country

 

The Left will never understand that Western civilization depends on a strong America. Maybe they do understand and are acting accordingly.

 

What MAGA wants is simple. They want a strong America, a strong Europe based on Western Ideals, economic opportunity and protectionism, strict immigration enforcement, and a return to traditional values. Quite a difference to what the Left demands.

 

And that's where we are politically and socially...in a long-distance relationship, going nowhere but to a place many will come to regret.

 

I never thought I would say this, but we are in urgent need of more legislators like John Fetterman... and I am totally indifferent if he appears on the Senate floor in a bathing suit.

 

This senator from Pennsylvania is a treasure. He doesn't follow the crowd. Party politics has no hold on him. Regardless of party affiliation, he consistently votes based on his judgment. He embodies the saying, "You can't judge a book by its cover."

 

It wasn't always like this. Legislators used to get along for the most part and even socialized. Despite having opposing views, President Reagan and Tip O'Neill (D-MA) maintained a close friendship and mutual respect.

 

The opposition's message is plain...they hate our country, and we are expected to quietly watch as they attempt to dismantle this great nation from both inside and outside the halls of government.

 

We will not compromise on whether we remain a free constitutional republic or go communist. So, someone is going to have to blink, and the Dems better start blinking.

 

It's time we looked at the Democrat Party, not as a political entity, but as a domestic terrorist organization

 

Where legislators and the opposition in the 1850s found themselves willing to employ corporal and capital violence, it resulted in civil war. We have entered an era much the same. The Democrats' actions have resulted in three attempts on Trump's life, the murder of Charlie Kirk, the attempted murder of ICE and border agents, arson attacks on ICE offices, threats against agents and their families, and the literal burning down of cities. These events are all a direct result of inflamed passions created by a political opposition that is lost in the dark.

 

It is because they no longer believe in the country or the people they represent. They have declared war on the United States! Their leaders are like the serpent whispering sedition to ignorant people. They want to be little islands of communism within the country, expecting the rest of the country to pay for it. It's time we looked at the Democrat Party, not as a political entity, but as a domestic terrorist organization. [Blog Editor Bold Text Emphasis]

 

To make things worse, Gov. Walz has called up the National Guard. Is Walz expecting his Guard to fight federal agents or control rioters in Minneapolis? We have reports that demonstrators are showing up in camo clothing and bullet proof vests. Is this the beginning of the civil war they want?

 

It is now clear we no longer have anything in common. It has poisoned opposition politics and now the country.

 

It has been said, "Only a madman will burn down his own country to rule over the ashes." The Democrats have the torch and have demonstrated their willingness to use it. Either they put it out or give it their best shot. But they need to be prepared to accept the consequences.

America’s media has failed Americans portraying looting, rioting and property damage as a legitimate response to a few bad policeman killing George Floyd. My guess is most Americans are not even thinking of Mr. Floyd thanks to the race baiting of the Dem Party enabling Black Lives Matter and Antifa to impose their Communist will on American lives and property increasingly resulting in mob violence.

My guess is a Civil War is coming especially as the victimized Americans begin arming themselves to protect themselves from the mobs because local Dem controlled governments restrain their police enforcement of the law. End Their Marxist Pipe-Dream - America's Salvation

The entire nation has watched over the past weeks in horrified disgust, as anti-American communist thugs deface, vandalize and topple our statues and monuments, with the latest case, in Baltimore, Maryland, being red paint thrown on the statue of George Washington. Previously, a statue of Washington was also toppled in Portland, Oregon. And now, we have just recently seen rioters in San Francisco even topple the statue of Union General Ulysses S. Grant and deface and attempt to tear down the statue of Andrew Jackson, in Lafayette Square near the White House [and other] malicious acts that are too often accompanied by the burning of the American Flag.

This situation disgusts and angers me to the point that I have a massive resentment towards those cowards in our government, who have stood by idly, wringing their pale little collective hands, and chanting the mantra of the day, "Oh my, oh me ... what should I do, what can I do?" as though they've never been capable of having a cogent thought or making a decision by themselves and on their own. We are dying from a lack of strong, independent, conservative-minded men and women if positions of government that matter most.

If radicals have the right to use force and violence to tear down these monuments and statues and circumvent due process and the rule of law, by that same token and example, so too do the patriots of America have the right to stand with arms in hand and prevent such from taking place.

In the absence of law and order and the sufficient authorities capable of enforcing the same, a void is created that demands to be filled. Either the thugs fill it with more chaos and mayhem or the Good Americans fill it and restore order. And, should these radicals persist in tearing down every last vestige of everything good, decent and true within our culture and our American heritage, all America may soon bear witness to the void being filled with the dead carcasses of the thugs and the Antifa and BLM communist radicals of this nation, who are doing all they can to destroy the republic and "fundamentally transform America" into an authoritarian, probably totalitarian, socialist regime, using any means necessary, including violence.

It's time to end their Marxist pipe-dream right here and right now, and cut it all the way back to the roots of its leadership, however that is to be accomplished. These Amerikkans need to be charged with sedition, treason and domestic terrorism, prosecuted and jailed according to the depth of their complicity in the movement that has succeeded in destroying so much of America and damaging the credibility of the United States government and all states' government on multiple levels.

Some deserve a few years behind bars. Some deserve life. Some deserve to be executed.

An alternative viable solution might be found in giving all who may eventually come under criminal investigation over roles in the riots the choice of spending the rest of their lives in exile or ten years to life in prison.

 Unfortunately, America may find it necessary to resort to a hardcore military maxim, that has become more dear to me the more I see the communist anti-American tugs of Antifa and BLM advancing across America, laying waste to towns and cities at will. We had a saying in the Army in my time, that was simply "Kill 'Em All and Let God Sort 'Em Out".

I believe America is headed into a civil war that will be more prolonged, intense, heated and bloody than the first one, due to the fact that it won't be like the 1860s with two clear sides.

A close friend of mine, Christine Holm, a singer-songwriter from Illinois, a Christian and a pretty wise lady, recently wrote me, and here is part of that communication:

"Many have already served and sacrificed for this country. None of us ever really want war or to have to fight or face the loss of life or to take those risks but we will do it because we base it upon the strongest motivation mankind can have....LOVE. ..... True patriots will always be willing to fight and die for goodness and for truth because that's the RIGHT THING TO DO. Even if we were outnumbered...(but we won't be)....we would still consider it our duty and our privilege and honor to stand against evil."

We will see the worst infighting in the inner-city areas where it will be near impossible to tell if a man of any particular color is a conservative or a Marxist/Maoist or simply trying not to take sides and let it all pass him by. But sides will eventually emerge through intelligence gathering that will pit localities and communities against each other, perhaps even states, and result in the splintering, the Balkanization, of our country, for quite some time into the future, until such time some unifying event comes forth to bring us all back under the same banner, hopefully the banner of America and the American Flag, or the banner of God.

And as I wrote those last words, an image of Joan D'Arc [Joan of Arc for my fellow Americans lacking French] flashed across my mind, the slip of a girl who united all of France, if for but a brief moment in history.

America is crying out for such a figure now, but they thought they had that figure in President Trump.

No one person will be the salvation of this nation. America's salvation can only be achieved, when the nation on the whole returns to the fold of God and the principles He set forth, upon which this nation was founded. It will take all of America forming a common bond again under God to turn back the hand of time and deliver us to a new age for the future, whereby our freedom and liberty truly are preserved, protected and defended.

Such an endeavor is a mighty task -- but not an impossible task. Through God all things are possible.

Only time can tell how this really ends. I'll just keep praying and hoping and working towards the best of outcomes.
