These days as an American concerned about the Globalist/Marxist path the USA has openly hurdled toward since Barack Obama gained the reins of power, I have focused on American Liberty and resisting the despotism seeping into American government and resisting the Marxist Critical Race Theory transforming America away from its Christian moral roots.

 

THERE WAS A TIME my focus was on Islam as an anti-Christian threat to the American heritage of Liberty and Christianity. During those days I focused much time on persecuted Christians in Muslim dominated nations. A huge source of information came from Shamim Mehmood – a Christian-Pakistani national. In those early days I knew him more as Shamim Masih and later (I don’t recall how) as Shamim Mahmood. I suspect much of the names are cultural thing for Christians trying to live and survive in an openly Islamic State. A few days ago, he contacted me on Telegram under the name Shamim Mehmood.

 

Shamim sent a brief journalistic opinion on how his homeland – Pakistan – is officially fomenting hostile protest of the actions on non-Muslims in France and Sweden.

 

Since many in my circles ignore the press these days recognizing it more as a propaganda mouthpiece for Globalist-Marxist transformation, I am convinced many are unaware that massive Muslim immigration to Europe has began wake up ethnic Europeans that Islam exists to force conversions or submit to the rules of Islamic Supremacy or else.

 

As such, those who demonstrate a dislike of Islam’s cultural impositions on the various European cultures of independent nations have been labeled by governments and the international press as Islamophobic racists (though I don’t fear Islam in a phobic manner, I do resist its culture as abhorrent to my Christian faith. THAT MEANS, I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT I’M LABELED AN Islamophobic racist).

 

I don’t want to take too much away from Shamim’s July 10 opinion he sent to me to share, but many who think as I do and those ridiculed awakened Europeans have either read the hate in Islamic revered writings (Quran, Hadith & Sira) or have experienced the violence of Islamic Supremacism.  

 

For context on Shamim’s opinion on Pakistan government actions over occurrences in France and Sweden. France exploded into George Floyd-style rioting by Muslim youths over French Police shooting 17 year old Nahel Merzouk after fleeing in his car. If you listen to the Press and Globalist-Marxists, the shooting was the result of pervasive anti-Muslim racism in France. My guess is the shooting resulted closer to the Muslim Immigrant reputation for violence against non-Muslims. The kid may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time and may have fled due to French Police beginning to become aggressive to Muslim Immigrants which are now becoming generationally indigenous. The incident in Sweden that really chap the hide of Muslims causing massive protests and Muslim outrage – particularly in Muslim dominated nations – when a Christian from Iraq (Salwan Momika) living as a refugee in Sweden torched a Quran outside a Stockholm Mosque and actually got Swedish government permission to do so. After the Shamim Mehmood opinion piece I’m going to share some videos relevant to Pakistan Muslim persecution of Christians which I pray enlightens readers to the hypocrisy of Muslim going nuts when they believe their faith has been blasphemed according to their so-called revered writings. The first video is a Facebook video interview I placed on my Bitchute Channel from March 2021 of Shamim describing his abduction, interrogation and torture by four Pakistani-Muslims.

Anti-Islam Events in France & Sweden Displeases Pakistan

Pakistan officially declared to arrange protests against the anti-Islam events happening in France and Sweden in the past few days led by the Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. [Blog Editor: Wikipedia Profile, Recent speech of political double-speak at Pro-CCP SCO Council Meeting – 7/4/23]

 

The state officially condemned the incident and said any anti-Islam move can't be tolerated in any shape of the freedom of speech/expression.

 

Different religious groups (some of them are called or declared militant by the government from time to time) have taken part in aggressively and have arranged protest rallies against the burning of the Quran in Sweden and France. [Blog Editor: I have not been able to locate recent Quran-burning in France. HOWEVER, Growing dislike for Muslim immigrants (some of which now can claim generational habitation) undoubted led to a police shooting resulting in the death of 17 year-old Nahel Merzouk sparked Muslim youth rioting in France a la George Floyd style. The Pakistan-government rabble rousing of its Muslim population is so full of hypocrisy since Pakistan is one of world’s biggest perpetrators of violence against its own Christian population.] The protesters raised slogans demanding the action should be taken against those involved in that incident and have expressed their anger by chanting anti-Christians' slogans and desecrating the sign of the cross at various places.

 

Reportedly, some Christians' religious leadership in Gujranwala (city of Punjab province) have been part of these rallies as well.

 

Principally I am not in favor of such actions, the reason behind that is that people living in the developed countries are neither aware nor can imagine the problems of the Christians people living in the Muslim dominated countries. And by such acts, their lives can become hell there. (A video clip can be seen in which the followers of Islam are recording their protest by desecrating the sign of the cross [Blog Editor: I attempted to locate a recent video clip of Pakistani-Muslims desecrating a Christian Cross with no luck. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist because Pakistani-Christians have experienced decades of Muslim violence over the most trivial perceptions of insults against Islam. AND it doesn’t take much to insult Islam because Islamic revered writings call for abhorrent violence against non-Muslim resistance to submission. You can do a Youtube search of your choice of wording and find decades of Muslim violence against Pakistani-Christians that had zero World mass protests against Western located Mosques or Muslim Embassies. Here is one news article example from 2005 under the title, “Christians hold open-air mass after Muslims torch churches”.]) Well, let me try to present an overview and practical steps can be taken by the state or people in large against such kind of incidents rather than this show.

 

It is to remember that the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) [Blog Editor: Of possible information Interest: OIC organization in relation to India (2/16/22); Video on OIC censorship Jihad (4:51-minutes 7/8/15) & 65 page PDF dated 6/5/15 entitled – “THE ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC COOPERATION’S JIHAD ON FREE SPEECH”] emergency meeting was called in and displeasure showed there as well. It can be considered that OIC members agreed and were settled-down by just issuing a statement.

 

Pakistan being an OIC member did not raise any question there though Pakistan [Pakistan to OIC 7/7/23: “Pakistan asks OIC to chalk out strategy against rising Islamophobic incidents”] can do that, but they staged protest rallies across the country and to show more love than others. Realistically it looks just formalities, because Pakistan can take some practical steps to show their love for Islam for example: Pakistan can officially call off its diplomatic relations with both European countries France and Sweden. And can demand to [not] restore its relations until they punish those individuals under blasphemy [of insulting Islam].

 

But it will not happen because Pakistan cannot face the damages taking such steps.

 

Secondly all those Pakistani [nationals] wanting to show their love for Islam, they can right away leave French and Swedish nations and move to their respective homelands. But I am sure neither state nor individuals will do so due to their personal benefits.

 

If this is not the case, should it be understood that the love and contempt of Islam is exhibited only when poor Asia Bibi  [SlantRight 2.0 & CPCR] or Sawan Masih or Zafar Masih [Blog Editor: After conducting a search on Duck Duck Go, I found a Christian Post story of the brother Zafar Masih telling the story of his sister Shazia Imran being kidnapped and gang raped then murdered by four Pakistani-Muslims: Christian woman abducted, killed for refusing to convert to Islam in Pakistan; By Morning Star News; The Christian Post; 7/4/23] [are] accused.

On Monday, 2 January 2023, a protest organised by a group of tribals, led by right wing leaders, in Narayanpur district over alleged ‘forced ‘conversion of members of tribal community into Christianity turned violent, leaving a church vandalised.

 

An FIR has been lodged against 40+ people, and 9 others, including BJP's Narayanpur district president Roop Sai Salam, have been arrested so far.

 

A video of the incident captured a man vandalising a statue of Virgin Mary installed on the premises of the church. Another statue of Jesus Christ was damaged in the incident, too.

A persecution watchdog is voicing profound concern about a Pakistani man who was reportedly given the death penalty after being accused of blasphemy. David Curry, CEO of Global Christian Relief, told CBN's Faithwire "Pakistan has some of the most difficult and stringent blasphemy laws in the world."

 

He described these regulations as "vigilante-type laws" that open the door to false accusations against Christians and other groups — claims that can lead to the death penalty. "[It] allows anybody to accuse somebody else of blasphemy within the Islamic law," he said. "And the reason why it's so problematic is because of the court system and the way these are adjudicated. You have somebody who's making a claim that, in most cases, can't be substantiated."

 

Beyond that, Curry said the definition of "blasphemy" is overly broad, meaning any offense deemed problematic by the accuser is all that's needed to wage a charge. Being a Christian, alone, could spark problems for some in places like Pakistan, with false claims also being perpetuated. "Punishment in Pakistan is the death penalty, so there's no proportionality to a particular situation," he said. "Anybody can make a charge that can't be validated."

 

Curry said blasphemy charges unfold "regularly" in Pakistan. As CBN's Faithwire previously reported, the most recent case involves Noman Masih, 22, who was recently handed the death penalty by a court in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, after being found guilty of blasphemy. Islamic leaders globally continue to condemn a Qur’an burning while turning a blind eye to the widespread persecution of Christians in Islamic countries. But how well is this strategy working, as the Muslim world and the West stand at a crossroads?

 

Many people recognize the danger of submitting to Sharia blasphemy tenets, and so the pressure that is being put on Western societies may well backfire.

Quran was burned and thrown from a moving vehicle in front of a mosque in southwestern Germany, the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) confirmed Monday.

 

The incident happened in front of the Mimar Sinan Mosque in the town of Maulbronn, located in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg, from a moving vehicle.

 

Osman Adıbelli, director of the mosque association, said the incident took place on the night of Saturday, July 8.

 

“After the incident, when we reviewed surveillance footage of our mosque, we saw that an object was thrown in front of the mosque from a vehicle on the main street. Around 4:45 a.m. (0245GMT), our congregation members who came for morning prayers noticed a burned Quran at the entrance of the mosque,” he explained.

 

Adıbelli said they have filed a criminal complaint over the incident and added: “Due to the reflection of the headlights of the vehicle approaching the front of the mosque we do not know the license plate number or how many individuals were involved in the attack.”…

The Youtube channel VladTepesBlog posted about a 42-minute prepared speech read by a Swedish gal - Nina Drakfors*** - expressing her dire disappoint with Swedish government’s Multiculturalist ideology of planting culture-clashing Muslim immigrants (or migrants) in Sweden. Drakfors explains the horrible consequences on the Swedish populace experiencing violent crimes including massive rape-jihad from these Muslims. The Swedish government and Swedish media has been propagandizing their citizens all is well when the opposite is quite true!

(***You should know about Nina Drakfors. I usually just link to biographical info, however the most reliable info I have found is in Swedish. Thus I have decided to post a Google English translation at the end of the Don Boys post even though it extends the length of this blog post.)

I learned of this video from a Vlad Tepes Blog post of which I am sent email updates. Although the video is at the top of the post, the more interesting portion of the post is the pseudonymous author Eeyore responding to a Youtube comment expressing his opinion about the possible nefarious reason the European Leftist ruling Elites allow Muslim immigration that is obviously disrupting the indigenous Western Culture.

The commenter – identified as  H.J. Indy Nuding – has a great point, but Eeyore’s response is even better and one I fully agree with. Because of that which I find more interesting I’m posting the comment and Eeyore’s response first, then the Swedish gal’s extremely valid points read in Swedish with English subtitles – last.

AND, after the Vlad Tepes thoughts I’m cross posting the thoughts Don Boys, PhD. Boys is a Christian Evangelist born in West Virginia that even had a political career elected to the Indiana House of Representatives. The Boys essay also addresses the infusion of counter-culture Islam in the West and how Eastern European nations are awakening to the threat Islam presents to Western Culture. A question was left for me in the comments at Youtube last night which I thought I would post along with my answer below in case its food for discussion.

Vlad Tepesblog – I’ve been contemplating a lot over the last few years about the Massive influx of Muslims into the West and the endorsing by our Political, Social, Academented Elite of this trend, the slow Islamization of the West.

I came to the conclusion that this is being done by the “Elite” deliberately and not out of Fear being called Names for the one and only reason, the Reason of gaining ABSOLUTE POWER. The Black Africans that are being flooded into Europe would make good Foot Soldiers for Islam, since they are easily influenced by promises of “Legal” Rape, Loot and Violence against Non Muslims (“Whites”).

I looked at Christianity, how it was turned into the Empirical Religion by the Roman Emperor Constantine for simple Political Reasons, to have ABSOLUTE POWER over each and every aspect of Life, to create a Society under ONE Banner. Unfortunately for the “Ruling” Classes, Christianity wasn’t as inflexible as they thought, since in my humble opinion it’s a free flowing Philosophy and not a rigid Ideology and eventually Church and State got separated and through this a lot of State Power over Peoples Lives was lost.

When you look at Islam on the other Hand, it’s an Ideology that is as Rigid and Inflexible as it get’s, it cannot be changed, it’s the “FINAL Word of Allah” and rules through Sharia Law each and every aspect of a Muslims Life, from how to shit, eat, drink, f**k and THINK. What better tool than Islam for Oppression?

What better tool to Enslave the Body and Mind of People? Islam is like an Oubliette with a way in, but NO way out. My believe, through observation of what is happening all over the Western World, is that our “Politicians” and “Big Global Corporations” want to turn the Free World into an Islamic Hellhole to wield again the ABSOLUTE POWER they lost to our Ancestors during the Centuries. I suspect its leftists using Islam as a battering ram to destroy classical civilization, which they have through great logical acrobatics, made into the great evil of the world, with the intention of replacing it with a communist-post modern ‘civilization, which would have to work this time cause there won’t be any place to escape to.

But two of my favorite bits of it are: A letter to Obama from Carlos the Jackal in a French prison saying the only way to defeat Western civilization was a combination of leftism and islam, and a document from a French MP in 1928 asking for the government to research the odd relationship between European communist groups and Middle Eastern Islamic ones.

But there is a buyers market on this kind of evidence really. Spend a day at any university for the past 100 years. I went briefly to a Canadian one in the 70s. Looking back, the textbooks I was given were all postmodern replacements for real science. People like Money and Erheartd, (sp) the pseudo sex researchers who have destroyed many people’s lives with their PoMo religion pretending to be science.

Leftism has no weapons except their fictions, and weaponized islam. Mind you, the US and Russia used jihadi groups as proxies for decades and decades. So it’s not unique. It’s just horrifying that people in our midst, who benefit from our work and ideas, are using islam against us, instead of as a military asset against a far target which is a threat to us we are more used to.

It isn’t even impossible that Russia is playing a part in weaponizing and sending some of these muslims into our nations. To a degree, Russia does want us to be weaker for its own reasons, and now they don’t have communism slowing them down.

I have read speculation that Soros is a Russian agent. That explains a few things actually. Like how did a broke ex-Nazi Hungarian get into the LSE?

Here is the strategic overview as I see it: Communist groups seek to destroy the west by fractioning it in every possible way. This turned out to be easier than anyone would have thought, using only language. They did so by creating as many groups out of the one, and making them believe that what’s left in the middle had been abusing, exploiting or otherwise disenfranchising them. This goes from physical attributes like race and skin tone, (BLM Etc.) to belief, religions, Jews, Muslims et al, to irrelevant behaviours. Like who or what you want to have sex with, and of course, your physiology. Male female.

That became quite a powerful one in fact. People could be made to identify themselves as their kinks. Also issues could be mal-framed so that we would agree to one thing when really getting another. Much like signing an iTunes agreement.

So when the West was bullied into getting gay marriage, it really got the destruction of real marriage. A powerful western institution. So now the circle around the remainder is powerful and all that is left in the middle is white males. Attacking forces include everything from muslims, to leftists of all types who use their new PoMo labels, Jew, black, woman, homo, whatever, as both a sword and a shield. This is a fairly brilliant plan and could easily work.’ After all. How to you fight a nuclear power when all you have is words? Replace all the people in the chain of command with your people and now YOU have the nuclear weapons. Right? I hope that is the answer you were asking for.

Polish lawmaker Dominik Tarczyński admitted on television that Poland had not received a single Muslim refugee! He also stated they had not had any terrorist attacks! He declared, “We can be called populists, nationalists, racists, I don’t care — I care about my family, and about my country.” That’s a smart, honest politician although not politically correct.

And his tribe is increasing at a rapid rate all over Europe—Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Hungary, with others arising in France, Germany, England, etc. And such patriotic leaders give heartburn to open border fanatics and all globalists.

Let me see if I understand this correctly: the nations that refuse to take in Muslims are having no problem with terror and the nations that have almost open borders and are being flooded by Muslims have had numerous terrorist attacks. Maybe America and Canada should take note.

All politicians had better face reality and not snuggle up to the political, social, academic, and media elite: Muslims have an agenda that seeks every nations’ capitulation to their influence.

A Muslim demonstrator in Dearborn, Michigan proudly held a sign stating, “We will use the freedoms of the Constitution to destroy the Constitution!” But political fools refuse to believe such “peaceful” religious people could really be telling the truth as to their intentions!

No democracy or republic or monarchy, dictatorship is safe and many nations are even financing their own fall as in the United Kingdom. Sharia-practicing Muslim organizer Anjem Choudary of Islam4UK stated, as reported in the London Daily Express, “We have had enough of democracy and man-made law.…We will call for a complete upheaval of the British ruling system…and demand full implementation of Shariah in Britain.”

Hardline Iranian Judge Ayatollah Sadegh Khalkhali openly declared, “Those who are against killing have no place in Islam. Our Prophet killed with his own blessed hands…If the survival of the faith requires the shedding of blood, we are there to perform our duty.” He may be a bigot, barbarian, and butcher but he was honest about what Islam is.

Deceive your enemy….” Note that he was speaking at a CAIR meeting–you know, the Muslim group that is only a public relations firm or civil rights group, or so they say. Their actions prove otherwise. Omar Ahmad is co-founder of CAIR and former Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP) officer. FBI surveillance tapes at secret Hamas meeting in 1993 reveal that IAP could not admit support for the terrorist group Hamas since it would not be politically wise. Of course not. They may be terrorists but they aren’t stupid! The Holy Land Foundation paid for Omar’s travel and lodging for the meeting.

Omar declared, “Those who stay in America should be open to society without  melting, keeping mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam. If you choose to live here, you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam…Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” Well, that’s clear.

Omar praised suicide bombers of innocent people, “Fighting for freedom, fighting for Islam, that is not suicide…they kill themselves for Islam.” Remember, that comes from the mouth of the co-founder of CAIR, America’s number one Muslim organization! Wake up!

However, CAIR is a front for Islamic terror groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah, and terrorists are as easily found in their company as a bowling ball in a bathtub. The Hamas Charter states their purpose is terror. “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.” The Bible in Psalm 83:4 predicted this hatred of Israel: “They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.”

Israel is the most hated nation on earth and is not even on the maps of many Islamic nations! Many Muslim leaders have boldly declared that Israel should be driven into the sea.

Nihad Awad is Co-Founder and CAIR Executive Director and former Public Relations Director for the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP). He was born in Jordan and is now a U.S. citizen. He boldly declared, “I am in support of the Hamas movement.” He also said, “We do not and will not condemn any liberation movement inside Palestine or Lebanon.”

Randall “Ismail” Royer was CAIR’s National Civil Rights Coordinator and Communications Specialist who was convicted of terrorist crimes while working for CAIR. He was sentenced to twenty years in a Federal Prison. CAIR is a nest of rattlesnakes!

Ghassan Elashi was founder of CAIR-Texas and Chairman of Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. He was convicted for committing terrorist crimes while working for CAIR and sentenced to 65 years in a Federal Prison.

Mo Hassan is a Pakistani-American and former CEO of Bridges TV who was convicted of beheading his wife in 2011! In 2007, he received a CAIR Award but his fellow prisoners aren’t that impressed with the honor. Mo will spend 25 years in prison. I wonder why he didn’t get life. After all, how can a beheading not be premediated?

I reported in my book Muslim Invasion: The Fuse is Burning! that 60% of Muslim-Americans under 30 told Pew Research they’re more loyal to Islam than America! That is Muslims in America, not Egypt, Pakistan, or Saudi Arabia.

Islam has eyes on every nation in the world! Each one is to be part of their world system called the caliphate. It is already too late for some national leaders to wake up to the truth: Islam, true Islam, is our number one enemy with plans to destroy every legitimate government.

It is dumb, dangerous, and deadly for a nation to disregard Islam; after all, like rattlesnakes, they have warned us of their intentions!

I try to keep tabs on one of my favorite essayists Fjordman. Fjordman doesn’t get a lot of play in the USA I am guessing because he is from Norway/EU and is often denounced in Europe as being a Right-Wing Islamophobe. An accusation that can get you thrown in jail by European Leftist Multicultural government elites under crazy hate-speech laws.

In case you haven’t read Fjordman essays very often, you should be aware that Fjordman is a pseudonymous pen name that he used for years to protect his anonymity. Anonymity was important because of the crazy Muslim Supremacists dominating European violence who enjoy killing non-Muslims for criticizing Islam.

Pretty much everyone who knows about Fjordman today knows his real name of Peder Jensen. He was exposed because the loony Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik leaned on twisted interpretation of Fjordman’s essays trying to inspire cultural violence against Muslims by killing Norwegian youths. Since Breivik seemed to base most of his twisted thoughts on Fjordman (other notable Counterjihadists were in his manifesto) essays, the Norwegian police arrested Fjordman as if he was some kind of Breivik co-conspirator. Although completely exonerated, Fjordman’s legal name became public knowledge – exposing him to crazy Muslims.

This happened to Fjordman circa 2011. Fortunately he is still writing essays. The essay you are about to read demonstrates the correlation between Muslim refugees/immigrants in Sweden erupting in huge pockets of violence against Swedish non-Muslims. This is important to Americans, because the Dem Party wants to continue bringing in Muslims who do not have any inclination of assimilating into American culture of Religious Liberty and the Liberty guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.

One Week in Sweden

o   In Sweden, car-burnings are not major news anymore; they have become a part of daily life. Cars are torched in Swedish towns on a regular basis.

o   Between January and September 2017, Sweden experienced 6000 car-burnings. That equals roughly 22 car fires per day. Schools and other buildings are sometimes targeted by arsonists as well.

o   Meanwhile, a report claims that Swedish students and other citizens have been pushed to the back of the public-housing queue. The authorities thus sometimes prioritize recently-arrived asylum seekers and immigrants over the country's native population.

If you search for crime, you can find it in any society. Sadly, in Sweden today, you do not have to search very hard. A casual look at newspapers on any random day will be filled with stories about armed robberies, sexual assaults, rapes, public gang shootings and perhaps explosives in restaurants. This crime wave is no longer merely confined to the major cities. Many smaller towns and some rural communities are now affected as well.

In some Swedish municipalities, harassment and violent threats have become major issues even at public libraries. In the town of Trelleborg, in the autumn of 2017, a gang of 30-50 youths effectively occupied the local library. One mother, who asked that her name not be used, explained that she is now scared to visit the library with her children. The last time she went, visitors were harassed by a loud, aggressive youth gang. When a guard asked the gang-members to leave, they surrounded him. The local police say that they are aware of this problem, but that they do not have sufficient staff to patrol the library every day.

In October 2017, an 81-year-old Swedish woman in the town of Mölndal was harassed and threatened by some youths while walking her dog. A few boys around the age of 12 walked in front of her and blew cigarette smoke in her face; one of them threatened to attack her dog and her. Then he spat her in her face. The woman now says that she is afraid to go out. The local police confirm that elderly people are harassed in similar ways. In a separate incident, some youths stole a loaf of bread from another woman in her 80s.

On the evening of October 29, 2017, a car was torched in the Muslim-dominated district of Rosengård in Malmö. On October 30, another car was torched in the same area. The local daily Sydsvenskan mentioned these incidents with just a couple of sentences. Why? Because car-burnings have become a part of daily life. They are not major news anymore. Cars are torched in Swedish towns on a regular basis.

Between January and September 2017, Sweden experienced 6000 car-burnings. That equals roughly 22 car-burnings per day. (Insurance companies estimate that about half of these incidents are attempts at insurance fraud.) Schools and other buildings have been targeted by arsonists, as well.

The police in parts of Sweden have also experienced, in recent years, a rising number of violent attacks. Police vehicles and stations have been targeted; sometimes even policemen in the privacy of their homes.

On October 29, 2017, a stone was thrown through the front door of the police station in the small town of Kinna. A police station in Dalbo, Växjö had several windows smashed with stones and was shot at with fireworks. The local police chief commented that the police earlier experienced vandalism against their cars, too. A police station at Vännäs in northern Sweden was hit by a rock a day earlier.

On October 29, a police patrol in the town of Linköping was ambushed by people throwing rocks at them. One policeman was injured, struck in the face by a stone.

On October 18, a police station in the southern city of Helsingborg was hit by an explosion. No one was injured, but a large part of the building, as well as the windows on the building opposite, were damaged by the blast. "This is very serious. An attack on the police is not just an attack against society, but on everyone's safety," said Sweden's National Police Commissioner, Dan Eliasson.

On October 28, in the middle of the night, someone fired roughly 20 bullets into the private home of a police officer in Västerås. The policeman and his family were asleep at the time. The shots went straight through the house and into the neighbor's house. According to the regional police chief Carin Götblad, only luck prevented anyone from being hit.

Despite many such incidents, Johanna Skinnari, a researcher at the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention, claims that it is not possible to determine whether or not attacks on the police are becoming more common. She did add, however, that "ordinary threats and harassment" are on the rise. Her research, she explained, found that these attacks tend to reinforce the "intimidation capital" of the perpetrators, "to show they're tough and not afraid of the police."

A Swedish policewoman described how criminals have published photographs of her, her husband and her 2-year-old son, whom they threatened to murder. She said that similar stories about police officers in Sweden are now common. Some policemen have begun checking for bombs under their cars before starting them. As one violent criminal told the Swedish police: "You are no longer hunting us. We are hunting you. We will hunt you and your families."

Swedes pay some of the world's highest taxes. Despite this burden, parts of the country suffer from a chronic lack of police resources. Many crimes go unsolved. Witnesses are sometimes afraid of talking to the police. At other times, the police lack the capacity to investigate even serious crimes such as murder or rape.

Being a policeman is not an attractive job in Sweden today. The risks are high; the salary is low. The majority of Swedish police officers -- an alarming 58% -- are considering finding a different profession.

The police warn that foreign criminals view Sweden as a most attractive country. If you steal something, the chances of being caught are almost zero. If you should be sentenced for a crime, you might spend only a short time in a comfortable prison. A lot of weapons are illegally circulating among criminal gangs, from pistols to hand grenades.

A journalist, Ivar Arpi, commented that parts of the country are no longer under the control of the state. At many train stations, libraries and hospitals, threatening and harassing the staff have become a daily routine. In troubled areas, shops are forced to close: thanks to rampant crime, they can no longer buy insurance. Throwing stones at the police or rescue service personnel is now "normal." The use of hand grenades in attacks in Sweden is now comparable to regions of Mexico in which drug cartels operate.

The Gothenburg regional daily Göteborgs-Posten argues that a "low-intensity war" is currently being waged against the Swedish police. This situation exists, the newspaper notes, although the Swedish economy is still strong. What happens to these tensions if the economy suffers a downturn?

PO Hellqvist, who has worked for 30 years at the Swedish Security Service (Säpo), sounded an alarm on a "power struggle" between Swedish authorities and criminal gangs in certain areas. He says he is concerned about the growth of parallel societies, complete with their own "morality police," partly cut off from, and often hostile to, the rest of society. Such communities have historically been a breeding ground for terrorism. Hellqvist adds he is even more worried about people who become radicalized locally than about ISIS jihadists returning from the Middle East. The local radicals, he notes, are more numerous.

Three employees of Sweden's public broadcasting station SVT were convicted of human trafficking after they smuggled a Syrian migrant into Sweden in 2014. They will not, however, lose their jobs because of this. At the same time, another Syrian Muslim migrant was being arrested in Germany; he is suspected of plotting a mass-murder terrorist attack.

Kjell-Olof Feldt, who served as a powerful Minister of Finance during most of the 1980s, was widely respected as an honest and competent minister (even though some of his fellow Social Democrats thought his economic policies too "right-wing"). In October 2017, the now-retired Feldt gave an interview to a Swedish newspaper in which he expressed concerns about the future of his own party, as well as about the future of Sweden. Feldt says that the way the established political parties have handled immigration has weakened trust in politicians. He described the current immigration policies in Sweden as a "ticking bomb". When asked what politicians can do to solve these problems, Feldt replied: "I do not know. I think hardly anyone knows." Current political leaders, in his view, are simply trying to keep a lid on the situation and stifle debate.

Meanwhile, a report claims that Swedish students and other citizens have been pushed to the back of the public-housing queue. Municipalities across Sweden suffer from a housing shortage. The authorities, it seems, have sometimes been prioritizing recently-arrived asylum seekers and immigrants over the country's native population. The Swedish government is looking to house 100,000 more immigrants in 2018.
