Jerusalem is the capital city of the nation Israel. In case you didn’t get that let me say it another way: Jerusalem is the heritage of Jews!

Now here is something Jews are critical of: (Biblical) Christians believe the return of the Jews to the Holy Land reestablishing Israel as the Land of the Jews is a huge sign that Christ Jesus the Son of God is coming soon to establish His Kingdom on the throne of David. Not only as King of the Jews but also as King of all those that believe Jesus is the Risen Savior of all humanity. Christians believe that Jesus is the Priest-King prophesied to possess the Throne of David to rule and reign as King and God of all the earth.

Ironically in the eyes of Israel faithful Jews, Christians are viewed both as enemies and friends. From the days that Gentiles dominated the Christian faithful history shows an unbiblical persecution of Jews by Christians. Since the Christians that believe that Israel and Jerusalem are Jewish Biblically are evangelical in nature coupled with a sour history with Christians, there is a difficulty to view Christians as friends.

Regardless of Jewish acceptance of Christian motives I am one that completely stands with Israel to be an independent nation with the City of David – Jerusalem – as the God certified capital city. Arabs that call themselves Palestinians have no claim to Jerusalem on the basis of a religion founded about 600 years after Christ’s Resurrection and around two thousand years after Joshua led the twelve Hebrew Tribes to dispossess the ungodly Canaanites that God deemed unworthy thus fulfilling the Promise to Abraham to possess the Land forever.

All these pro-Israel Christian Zionist thinking is a result of an email I received from Mike Evans of Jerusalem Prayer Team relating that President Barack Hussein Obama is scheduled to travel to Israel with the intention to bully Israel to divide Jerusalem between Israel and the usurping Arabs that call themselves Palestinians.

Mike Evans believes that if BHO is successful in his agenda that the USA will be under the curse of God for working against the legacy of the Jews and the Land of Israel. I am going to post that email, but first I want to post numerous Scriptures to think about while reading the Evans email.

Israel is the Promise to Jews and Christ is the Messiah

¹ Now the Lord had said to Abram:

“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.

² I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
³ I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

⁴ So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. ⁵ Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan. ⁶ Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh.^[a] And the Canaanites were then in the land.

¹ For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.

You shall be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the Lord will name.
³ You shall also be a crown of glory
In the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem
In the hand of your God.
⁴ You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,
Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;
But you shall be called Hephzibah,^[a] and your land Beulah;^[b]

So shall your God rejoice over you.

⁶ I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;

⁷ And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

¹¹ Indeed the Lord has proclaimed
To the end of the world:
“Say to the daughter of Zion,
‘Surely your salvation is coming;
Behold, His reward is with Him,
And His work before Him.’”
¹² And they shall call them The Holy People,
The Redeemed of the Lord;
And you shall be called Sought Out,
A City Not Forsaken. (Isaiah 62: 1-7, 11-12 NKJV)

¹ I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
² Our feet have been standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem!

³ Jerusalem is built
As a city that is compact together,
⁴ Where the tribes go up,
The tribes of the Lord,
To the Testimony of Israel,
To give thanks to the name of the Lord.
⁵ For thrones are set there for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
⁷ Peace be within your walls,
Prosperity within your palaces.”
⁸ For the sake of my brethren and companions,
I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
⁹ Because of the house of the Lord our God
I will seek your good. (Psalms 122: 1-9 NKJV)

“For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,
² I will also gather all nations,
And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
And I will enter into judgment with them there
On account of My people, My heritage Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
They have also divided up My land.
³ They have cast lots for My people,
Have given a boy as payment for a harlot,
And sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.

⁴ “Indeed, what have you to do with Me,
O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia?
Will you retaliate against Me?
But if you retaliate against Me,
Swiftly and speedily I will return your retaliation upon your own head;
⁵ Because you have taken My silver and My gold,
And have carried into your temples My prized possessions.
⁶ Also the people of Judah and the people of Jerusalem
You have sold to the Greeks,
That you may remove them far from their borders.

⁷ “Behold, I will raise them
Out of the place to which you have sold them,
And will return your retaliation upon your own head.

¹⁶ The Lord also will roar from Zion,
And utter His voice from Jerusalem;
The heavens and earth will shake;
But the Lord will be a shelter for His people,
And the strength of the children of Israel.

¹⁷ “So you shall know that I am the Lord your God,
Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.
Then Jerusalem shall be holy,
And no aliens shall ever pass through her again.”

²⁰ But Judah shall abide forever,
And Jerusalem from generation to generation.
²¹ For I will acquit them of the guilt of bloodshed, whom I had not acquitted;
For the Lord dwells in Zion.” (Joel 3: 1-7, 16-17, 20-21 NKJV – Should read ALL Chapter 3)

¹¹ The people shall dwell in it;
And no longer shall there be utter destruction,
But Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

¹² And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:

Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet,
Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets,
And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths. (Zechariah 14:11-12 NKJV)

⁴ Nevertheless for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, by setting up his son after him and by establishing Jerusalem; ⁵ because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. ⁶ And there was war between Rehoboam^[a] and Jeroboam all the days of his life. (1 Kings 15:4-6 NKJV)

¹⁴ So the Lord God said to the serpent:

“Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
¹⁵ And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.” (Bold Emphasis Mine - Genesis 3: 14-15 NKJV)

¹⁵ “The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, ¹⁶ according to all you desired of the Lord your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’

¹⁷ “And the Lord said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. ¹⁸ I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. ¹⁹ And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. ³⁰ Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. ³¹ And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. ³² He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. ³³ And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

⁵² Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ ⁵³ Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?”

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your^[a] God. ⁵⁵ Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. ⁵⁷ Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” [SlantRight Editor: Jesus is referencing the ‘I AM’; i.e. God Almighty that spoke to Moses in the Burning Bush of Exodus 3: 14-15]

⁵⁹ Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple,^[b] going through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8: 49-59 NKJV – Read ALL of Chapter 8)

¹⁴ Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names^[d] of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

²² But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. ²³ The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it,^[a] for the glory^[b] of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. ²⁴ And the nations of those who are saved^[c] shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.^{[d] 25} Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). ²⁶ And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.^{[e] 27} But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes^[f] an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Revelation 21: 1-3, 9-14, 22-27 NKJV)

Yeah, I did say numerous Scriptures. Anyway, these Scriptures are an excellent preparation for Mike Evans’ warning that a BHO agenda could be a curse upon the United States of America.

President Obama's plan for Jerusalem will bring God's judgment on America

In a few days, President Obama will be going to Israel. This is his first trip to the Jewish state since he became president, and he is going with an urgent agenda—to divide the Holy City of Jerusalem and rush the creation of a Palestinian state with much of Jerusalem as its capital. He is hoping this will be the great international legacy of his second term in office.

There is no doubt in my mind that if this plan succeeds, God will judge America in a way we have never seen in our history. Our nation is in the process of touching God’s prophecy and that is a very dangerous thing. The outcome of this plan does not just threaten Israel’s future, but that of America and every other nation that supports it as well. God will not allow us to contradict His Word in such an open and blatant way.

I am going to Israel next week on an urgent mission as your ambassador. The next few weeks are literally some of the most critical times in the entire modern existence of the nation of Israel. The Jewish state is surrounded by enemies. The future of the government of Israel is uncertain. My old friend Prime Minister Netanyahu has so far been unable to form a new government after the recent election…and members of the Obama Administration are pushing the Israeli political leaders not to join a new government in an attempt to remove him from office even though he won a majority of votes to be Prime Minister.

Please start praying right now for me on this trip. God has planned my schedule, and I must take His message to the nation of Israel. I have no doubt that God brought us together “for such a time as this.” He knew Israel would be surrounded by enemies and abandoned by friends…and he called the Jerusalem Prayer Team into existence to raise up a great host of Believers who would stand faithfully in prayer for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people.

I have been having a discussion with a pro-Palestinian-Arab individual relation to the Jews having a right to the national heritage. The discussion has been ongoing. It was based on a Prime Minister Netanyahu speech where he proclaimed that Jerusalem is not a Settlement but the Capital of the Jewish Homeland.

The discussion surrounded around the point of argument between Jews being a religion or a race. Chugalongway said this in her last comment:

Judaism is a religion of converts. I wonder what ethnicity a American Indian is if he became Jewish???????

No such thing as the Jewish People. The Jews are made up of many ethnicities from the Lemba Jews, Chinese Jews , Berber Jews to the European Jew. The list is endless because Judaism is a world-wide religion just like Christianity and Islam.

So let’s begin to look at the reality of a Jewish race:

The new analysis shows that Jewish ancestry reflects a mosaic of genetic sources.  While earlier studies focused on the Middle Eastern component of Jewish DNA, new research has revealed that both Europeans and Central Asians also made significant genetic contributions to Jewish ancestry.  Moreover, while the DNA studies have confirmed the close genetic interrelatedness of many Jewish communities, they have also confirmed what many suspected all along: Jews do not constitute a single group distinct from all others.  Rather, modern Jews exhibit a diversity of genetic profiles, some reflective of their Semitic/Mediterranean ancestry, but others suggesting an origin in European and Central Asian groups.  The blending of European, Semitic, Central Asian and Mediterranean heritage over the centuries has led to today’s Jewish populations. Studies show that a significant majority of global Jewry can trace their DNA back toward the ancient Israelites. It is true that the Diaspora Jews have blended into the races in which they resided for centuries; nonetheless the DNA heritage is still there. Ergo, since Judaic culture maintained itself plus the DNA is there no matter how minute, especially European Jews do have a claim to Israel.

Judaism is more than a religion. Judaism is a community derived from ancient Israel that found itself expelled from their homeland first by Assyrians, then Babylonians and lastly by European Romans. Since intermarriage also occurred in the Middle East between Jews and Middle Eastern non-Jews, it appears Middle Eastern Jews retained a larger amount of the ancient Israelite DNA.

According to a study that I read it appears that Jews from Asia and India have the least have the least provable amount of Israelite-Jewish DNA. In most cases geneticists cannot make the direct link to most Asian and Indian Jews to the Israelites. This begs the question: Who or Why would someone convert to Judaism with its stringent qualifications to become a Jew and maintain enough of Jewish culture to call their community Jewish? The question is significant because Orthodox Rabbis will not define Chinese Jews and Indian Jews as Jewish because of the lack of heritage followed matrilineally and the Jewish cultural community is diluted to non-existent.

In 2010 respected geneticists from America determined that the majority of Jews indeed have a common gene making them a Jewish race beyond a religious culture:

Two new genome studies of Jews worldwide prove that the Jewish people — long called the “People of the Book,” the “Chosen People” or, in unkind circles, “those people” — are, indeed, a people after all.

The first study, by researchers at New York’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, found that Jews across the globe share distinct genetic traits that are different from other groups and that trace back to the ancient Middle East.

Researchers say the study, published in the American Journal of Human Genetics, puts to rest age-old questions about whether Jews are a group of unrelated people who share a religious ideology or a distinct ethnicity with common ancestry.

“The debate is over,” said Dr. Edward R. Burns, one of the lead authors of the study. “The Jewish people are one people with a common genetic thread that evolved in the second or third century BC.”

The study, “Abraham’s Children in the Genome Era,” compared the genetic analyses of 237 Jews, including Sephardic (Middle Eastern) and Ashkenazi (Eastern European) Jews — as well as an analysis of 418 non-Jews worldwide, and found that the Jews were more closely related to each other than to their fellow countrymen.

Past studies have reached similar conclusions, but they looked at smaller populations and considered only blood groups, mitochondrial DNA (a type of DNA passed down by mothers) or Y chromosomes (passed down by fathers).

For this inquiry, researchers conducted a genome-wide analysis of the major groups of the Jewish Diaspora — Ashkenazi Jews; Italian, Greek and Turkish Sephardic Jews; and Iranian, Iraqi and Syrian Jews.

The study — and a second genetic study published Friday in the journal Nature — scientifically undermines arguments made by those who challenge Jews’ historical relationship to Israel, such as former White House correspondent Helen Thomas, who resigned last week after saying Jews in Israel should “go home” to Germany, Poland and the United States.

Turns out, the Jews in Israel are already there.

Is there a Jewish faith? Yes. Is there a Jewish race? Yes. Are all Jews religious Jews? Not necessarily; indeed some may be Jewish and participate in another religion. Check this out:

A big number of Palestinian Muslims have decided to convert from Islam to Judaism. Barukh HaShem. Besides the fact that some are aware of their Jewish ancestry, a increased number of Palestinian Muslims in cities such as Hebron and Shekhem (Nablus) have converted back to Judaism and Samaritanism as well as learning the truth in Judaism and the Torah. Because of their fear of Hamas persecuting them for accepting the one and only G-d, where all prophets are equally loved by him in Judaism, many of them practice secretly in their homes, other have gone to live in Israel. Science doesn’t lie, it is the human conclusions that are manipulated. From the data I have just shown it would be moronic not to conclude that there is a Jewish race:

In some of the dry and dusty Palestinian and Bedouin villages they still circumcise their boys after the seventh day. Hidden away in some Palestinian homes are Jewish mezuzahs and tefillin. Some older residents can recall lighting candles on the Sabbath.

“Many of the Palestinians know it, but it’s not politically correct to acknowledge this publicly among Muslims,” says Steve Hagerman, founder of Turkish World Outreach. “There are two houses of Israel in the Holy Land: one aligned with the West and primarily secular or Jewish and the other aligned with the East and primarily Islam.”

When the northern kingdom of Israel was deported by the Assyrians in 745-702 B.C., most were sent to the east, Hagerman notes. After the Roman conquest, many Jews were carried away as slaves or fled to the west. “Many of the people in southern and central Italy are of Jewish origin, because so many slaves were carried away by the Romans to big estates in southern Italy.”

Hagerman cites a documentary that appeared on Israeli television in 2009 that established many common links. The documentary, produced by Nissim Mossek, quotes Rabbi Dov Stein, secretary of the New Sanhedrin, “It becomes clear that a significant part of the Arabs in the land of Israel are actually descendants of Jews who were forced to convert to Islam over the centuries,” he says. “There are studies which indicate that 85% of this group is of Jewish origin.”

Genetic studies have confirmed the connection. Ariella Oppenheim PhD, a researcher at Hebrew University and the Hadassah Medical School labs, did several important studies in 2000 and 2001. She was able to demonstrate common origins and a number of surprising relationships. Oppenheim established that both the Palestinians and the Jews descended from the Kurds of Babylon, homeland of the patriarch Abraham.

Perhaps more surprising, she found the Ashkenazi Jews from Europe are genetically closer to the Palestinians than Middle East Jews.

Is a Divisive Jewry Streaming Toward another Bloody Era?

There is no doubt in my mind that the Jews are the Chosen people as the physical descendants of Abraham through the line of the son of Promise Isaac. Further the Land of Israel was promised to Abraham and his descendants making the Land inseparable from Jews as the Promised Land. And yet the Jews were warned by God that straying away from Him going after other gods or abandoning God would lead to consequences that would separate Jews from their heritage whenever abandonment occurred. However, part of the Promise is that when the Jews seek the Lord God Almighty, they would always be restored to the Land of Promise.

The current year is 2011. The miracle was the political reestablishment of the Land of Promise in 1948. The Land was named after the name of the Father of the twelve Hebrew tribes – Israel. The Return is part of the multi-millennia coming and going of Jews undoubtedly due to the ebb and flow of the Jewish desire to worship the Lord God. By the time of Israel’s Independence Day this year that will be 63 years of a sovereign Israel where Jews are enabled to reclaim their heritage of Promise.

As a group Jews have had a difficult time of being one mind holding to one of the Holiest phrases in the Bible (Torah): “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!” The duty of faithfulness is expressed in the whole of chapter six of Deuteronomy:

1 “Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2 that you may fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’[a]
4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one![b] 5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

 
6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

  
10 “So it shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, 11 houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant—when you have eaten and are full— 12 then beware, lest you forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 13 You shall fear the LORD your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name. 14 You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you 15 (for the LORD your God is a jealous God among you), lest the anger of the LORD your God be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth.

 
16 “You shall not tempt the LORD your God as you tempted Him in Massah. 17 You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you. 18 And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land of which the LORD swore to your fathers, 19 to cast out all your enemies from before you, as the LORD has spoken.

 
20 “When your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is the meaning of the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments which the LORD our God has commanded you?’ 21 then you shall say to your son: ‘We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand; 22 and the LORD showed signs and wonders before our eyes, great and severe, against Egypt, Pharaoh, and all his household. 23 Then He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers. 24 And the LORD commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is this day. 25 Then it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to observe all these commandments before the LORD our God, as He has commanded us.’

This obedience spelled out for the Jews is so “that it may be well with” them and that the Jews “may go in and possess the good land of which the LORD swore to” their Fathers. The implication is that there is a penalty for disobedience. With all those blessings from God the Jews had a habit of taking for granted where those blessings came from. When a person knows God and takes Him granted in that one begins to see the rewards solely as the by-product of his own hands rather than the blessings of the Hand of God, consequences will emerge. The tribes of Israel seemed to forget their lessons first learned from their prophetic leader Moses. One example:

7 And the LORD said to Moses, “Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. 8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’” 9 And the LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people! 10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”

…

30 Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.” 31 Then Moses returned to the LORD and said, “Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold! 32 Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.”

 
33 And the LORD said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book. 34 Now therefore, go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, My Angel shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day when I visit for punishment, I will visit punishment upon them for their sin.”

 
35 So the LORD plagued the people because of what they did with the calf which Aaron made. (Exodus 32: 7-10, 30-35. NKJV)

God honors the Jews not necessarily because they are inherently special. Rather the Jews are honored because of Covenant established through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (i.e. Israel). Knowing that the children of Israel had a penchant to move toward unrighteousness, God called them a stiffnecked people and was willing to obliterate the Jews. The intercession of Moses saved the children of Israel from becoming dried grass forgotten from existence. Nonetheless, the warning for future generation came from God through Moses:

24 So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, 25 that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying: 26 “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there as a witness against you; 27 for I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. If today, while I am yet alive with you, you have been rebellious against the LORD, then how much more after my death? 28 Gather to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their hearing and call heaven and earth to witness against them. 29 For I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you. And evil will befall you in the latter days, because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands.” (Deuteronomy 31: 24-29 NKJV)

This is the point at which a lot of non-Jews that are anti-Semitic begin to indulge in Jew-hate speech. The Biblical narrative of Jewish history demonstrates that God’s anger toward His Chosen People is temporary if they repent and turn from their wicked ways. From Judges to Chronicles Jewish abandonment of God ebbs and flows with God’s mercy delivering the Jews from utter destruction. Until the time when only banishment as a punishment occurs with God using the Brutal Assyrians to empty out the Northern Kingdom of Israel and Nebuchadnezzar emptied the south Kingdom of Judah about a hundred years later. Incidentally it is from the tribe of Judah where the word “Jew” comes from. Significant numbers of the ten tribes of the Northern Kingdom of Israel disappear from history yet it is a bit of a myth that there are ten lost tribes.

Persian conquerors of Babylon allow the return of Jews to their homeland. The returning Jews rebuilt Jerusalem and built the second Temple built under the management of Zerubbabel. Around the beginning of the Christian Era Herod the Great took Zerubbabel’s Temple refurbishing it to one of the most elegant and wondrous pieces of architecture of its age.

Corruption entered the land among Jewish leadership again and the Romans turned the Land of Promise into a Latin possession. Eventually the Jews grew weary of being a conquered people bringing many acts of rebellion against the Romans. The Romans became weary of constant Jewish upheavals. The Jews mounted a serious revolt which ended with the Roman lesson of conquering and destroying the Jerusalem defensive wall and the utter destruction of Herod’s renovated Temple. This became the first deportation of Jews by Romans which was more of a case of Jews fleeing Roman Legions between 66-72 or 73 AD (or C.E. by secularists). The Great Rebellion ended with the fall of Masada in 73 AD. The last Jewish Rebellion was the Bar Kochba Rebellion roughly between the years 132 – 135 AD. It was at the end of this Rebellion that Emperor Hadrian renamed Jerusalem Aelia Capitolina and forbade Jews to enter the newly named city as well as changing the name of Judea to Philistia. Philistia, after the name of the Jewish ancient enemy of Philistines. The concept was to eradicate the attachment to their homeland. Again after great slaughter and persecution during the Bar Kochba Rebellion more Jews departed. Although there  have been Jews in the Land of Promise even since Jews fled in 135 AD, millions more began to populate North Africa, Asia and Europe. I believe it is the Hand of God that restored the nation of Israel as a sovereign entity for Jews to return to their heritage in 1948. Including the 1948 defeat of numerically greater Arab armies and flowing through the last official Arab attempt to exterminate Jews in 1973, the Hand of God has produced the miracle of Jews ruling a sliver of land among a hostile ocean of Muslims.

And yet it is amazing there is a huge of amount of Leftist Jews both in Israel and in America that have again abandoned their God’s Covenant to give their heritage to a group of Arabs that only exist as a community because the first invading armies of 1948 refused to take responsibility for losing a war they instigated and take in these Arabic mostly Muslim war refugees.

These Leftist Jews who have embraced the myth that giving up parcels of their heritage to a group of people who have stole the very name Palestinian will bring peace to the Middle East is an act of appeasement that ups the probably that the Jewish Homeland will be destroyed in yet another Jewish Holocaust. You would think that a political spectrum would be irrelevant in the prospect of preserving one’s ancient land. Sadly that is not the case.

The other night I attended a Jewish Federation event about how Jewish people can learn to have a peaceful discourse about Israel and agree to disagree in a friendly manner.

This was apparently necessary because the subject has grown to such aggressive proportions, Jews, who never had the capacity to get along anyway, are actually threatening the very health and welfare of the Jewish State.

Why am I not shocked to learn that Jewish people engage in vicious self-destructive behavior, even where their own people are concerned?

I wish I could say I was surprised to learn Jewish people are incapable of peaceful coexistence, but why on earth would I be?

The very panel that was selected to discuss the issue presented a most perfect example of the schism within the Jewish religion. The differential in language and belief systems that would allow for such a discourse was apparent. When you are speaking different languages, how on earth can you converse?

A conservative, reform and orthodox Rabbis discussing how Jews should get along?

Am I the only one who sees the irony here?

And the only one who sees the hopelessness in the Jewish DNA?

I spoke with my Rabbi and he brought a great perspective to the discussion. One that was never even touched upon at the Federation meeting yet is probably the real crux of the issue. His comments brought a real dose of reality to the conversation.

“There will always be a divide amongst Jews on how to deal with giving away land in Israel,” he said.

“This is because there is a division on what is a Jew's claim to the land. Those who believe that the UN voted for Jews to have a State on Arab land and call it Israel, feel we stole the land from those living there before.

“Then, there are those who claim, ‘I do not need the UN to tell me what is mine. It's been our homeland for 4000 years as dictated by the Torah’ (the same Torah quoted by Christians and Muslims).

“Therefore, as long as Jews feel guilty for stealing land in 1948 with the UN vote, they will always fight and argue, trying to please and appease the Arabs. Those who see the only claim to the land from the Torah will fight for their birthright to the land, with the same vigor as shown by the Muslims.

“My question to those who do not believe that the Torah is the source for the Jews to own the land of Israel is:  What claim do we have to that land, guilt via the Holocaust? Why did you celebrate in 1948 if the Arabs were living there? Why do you continue to donate to Israel, knowing that we have no other claim to the land than our stealing it through the UN?

“I would suggest that Jews should look at the 1948 vote in the UN as follows:  The world finally agreed that this land belongs to the Jews and told the Arabs get off our rightfully reclaimed land.”

The Rabbi’s point that the Jew who understands Israel was given by God, the same God that gave us the Torah, and those Jewish people who see it as a political issue cannot be reconciled.

Therefore there can never be any discussion, because it is being spoken in two different languages.

I am highly suspicious Jewish people are born with a special gene that renders them unable to get along with other Jews, like two magnets repelling one another. Especially, with those that harbor an opinion different from their own.

Jewish people just make me sad. They are an unappreciative lot. They attack one another far more than they attack those who would see them wiped off the face of the earth.

Any enemy with half a brain would understand that the Jewish people will eventually disappear like the Dodo bird through assimilation, the disconnection of the young people from Israel and their religion and through wars with and attacks from enemies.

It is an inherent part of our DNA to separate ourselves from one another. Despite the fact we have always lived in ghettos, Jewish people are experts at the divide-and-be-conquered mentality. That is why it has always puzzled me that we have so many enemies.

Torah teaches one to converse about the issues. Jewish men consider sitting and studying Torah an ultimate obligation.

The old joke about two Jews, three opinions, is not without merit.

The true conundrum rests in the fact that for a people who are considered so smart, Jewish people do the dumbest things and heap the most trouble upon their own. I imagine that is why Proverbs 11:29 actually advises: “He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.”

You would think we would have learned that in unity there is strength.

The Rothschilds escaped an oppressive ghetto in Prussia and became the most powerful banking family in the world despite their Judaism because they spoke with one voice and stood together against a hostile, Gentile world.

Only once have Jewish people spoken with one unified voice.

When the State of Israel was reborn in 1948, Jews throughout the world cried in unison, blessing the miracle. Their cries became Israel’s strength. AIPAC, because it spoke in support of Israel with a strong, united voice, rose to a powerful lobbying position in Washington.

Jewish people gave money, they agreed, every Jewish child planted trees in Israel in Sunday and in Hebrew Schools. Israel prospered and became a light among nations.

Oops. And they’re off and at it again. Just when things were getting good for the Jewish people, they messed things up!

They are like a cancer-ridden body with the bad cells attacking the healthy ones until the body is weakened and dies. That is exactly what is happening to Israel at this very moment. It is being attacked by its own cells, the Jewish people, and cannot possibly survive.

Suddenly, everyone is a critic:  “Israel should do this and that, and what about the poor Palestinians?”

Reminds me of mid-century America when the Jewish people fought for civil rights and helped organize the NAACP.  Any fool can look around and see how much that effort was appreciated. Black leaders are among the most anti-Semitic people in America. Decrying Jewish people and Zionism every chance they get, while they enjoy the very freedom to do so because of Jewish money and blood given for their cause.

Will we ever learn? No way.

The worst enemy of a Jew will always be another Jew.

We have tolerance for every people and religion on earth except our own. No wonder Freud was Jewish. Only a Jew could recognize how sick and self-destructive people can be after growing up a Jew himself.

What these bleeding-heart liberals who have tolerance for everyone except Israel fail to remember is that when the last days come, our destroyers will not ask, “were you a Jew for Peace or ZOA? Were you Orthodox or Reform? Were you a Democrat or Republican?”

Only one vital question will be asked and answered. “Are you a Jew?” Yes, then die.

The Muslims have learned. They speak loudly and in one unified voice. Even the moderate Muslims who do not agree with the extreme elements of their religion are quiet. That is why the Muslims are becoming stronger than any other religion. That voice is why they are allowed to murder Christians and Jews and anyone they care to, even their own people, and no one defies them. Their voice is too loud and too powerful to be stopped.

It is just as the unified Jewish voice was after World War II that brought prosperity to the Jewish homeland.

The Christians believe that multitudes of voices raised in prayer can move mountains. They are correct, and so too can voices of criticism and negativity flow through the world and cause destruction and evil.

After the discussion the other evening about how to speak civilly toward one another and where and how to disagree, one Rabbi summed it all up beautifully with a story.

“It seems the Jewish community in the Venice Ghetto was greatly divided and could not get along.”

Big surprise there!

Anyway, apparently they built five separate synagogues within a few-block area to practice as they wished. In later years when the foundations were being repaired due to decades of water damage, workmen discovered there were tunnels leading from each of the synagogues to the others. This was done in the event one congregation was attacked, they could then flee to safety in another.

This is proof we know better and have the ability to do better for ourselves and for our Jewish Homeland.

The only enemy Israel cannot overcome is its own people. We need our voice back; that one powerful voice for the sake of Israel and for the good of the Jewish people.

It is far past the time to grow up and stop allowing the crazies to run our asylum. We have been at odds with one another far too long and we are quickly running out of time. We need to build some new tunnels or there will be no place left for us to run.
