I am guessing a lot of Americans that are not history-minded do not realize September 17 is the anniversary of America’s Constitutional Convention delivering a Constitution to be ratified as the rule of law by newly independent States following victory in the Revolutionary War. Making today Constitution Day.
In honor of Constitution Day I’m sharing three posts I ran into that also update the Founders’ framework to what the Constitution faces today from prominent Constitution Shredders which is the American Left dedicated to transform America away from its Founding Principles. This should be of interest for Americans dedicated to the Founders’ concept of Liberty:
o America’s Founding Principles: Declaration of Independence, Constitution and The Founding Fathers on Faith and Religion; Family Research Council; No Date; PDF 40pgs
o [America’s] Historic Documents; Compiled by The Patriot Post
Of the three Constitution Day shares, the first one is from Inspirational Christian Blogs and looks through a Christian lens that condemns Leftist Lies and the climate that assassinated Charlie Kirk.

Charlie Kirk, the Constitution, and Our Founding Fathers
Charlie Kirk (ICB Photo)

Charlie Kirk was an amazing man, and by most accounts, he was even liked by many of those who disagreed with him, some of them fervently. Charlie was well known all across the U.S., not to mention in large parts of the entire world, he had a keen impact on many people.
Regardless of what people thought of him and his positions, most would acknowledge, and many did, that he was honest. Kirk was a man of integrity, that was not an idle word to be thrown around carelessly, or to be used in a press release to manipulate people and sharpen his image, integrity was part and parcel of who Charlie Kirk was.
Charlie was a strong believer in Jesus, his faith really showing in everything he did, especially in the last five to ten years of his life. Asked at one time what he would want to be remembered for, his answer was – “my faith.”
Kirk’s was a life destined for greatness, and cut short by an angry and deceived man who for whatever reason, decided that murder was the solution to a problem that was blown way out of proportion into a mania that pushed him over the edge of reasonable thought and action.
Some people are saying Charlie died a martyr, whether or not that is true, I will leave that determination to wiser minds than mine, he made a huge impact on people, his death and the manner of it, combined with how he lived his life, and the fact of his faith in Jesus Christ – have all combined to have a world-wide influence on a great many people.
Applications for new Turning Point USA chapters have absolutely exploded. Atheists have looked at the life of Kirk, and decided that they want to be like him, and placed their faith in Jesus.
Frustrations Rising
Others are voicing their frustration with the left’s cavalier attitude concerning Kirks death. Naturally the politicians are quick to condemn the violent death of Kirk, especially since a gun was used – since it is in their own self-interest. But many of the every-day leftists and liberals, when they were told of Kirk’s death or found out about it by whatever method, their reaction was the usual shrug of the shoulders like “yeah, whatever.”
If a leftist, liberal, or Democrat – pretty much all the same thing, is harmed or killed, the outrage is immediate and very vocal. If it is a conservative and/or a Christian who is attacked, killed etc., the attitude is so often a cavalier dismissal, as if these people by their stance and positions in life are unimportant and without any merit or value to the rest of our society.
After the death of Charlie Kirk, I think more and more people are waking up to this attitude of the left, and people are getting tired of the dismissal, the hate, and arrogance of the leftists playing God.
Don’t get me wrong here, the Republicans are far from perfect. No one is perfect actually. But there is a very noticeable demarcation line between those who adhere to the leftist ideals, and those who do not. There is a huge difference between those who (Genuinely worship and believe in Jesus) believe in God, and those who shun Him, shut Him out, mock Him, and have worked diligently to kick God out of our society in full.
God and the worship of Him has been largely replaced by meology – that fervent desire to have everything I want, when I want it – nothing and no one is more important than me. To cast off any rules that I deem unimportant, to violently throw off the reigns of God – “No one is going to tell me what to do!” Morals, righteousness, godliness, and goodness have been carelessly cast off, trodden on, and shoved into the gutter of society. There is precious little regard for the harm of others, what effects one’s actions have on others, there is only me. Disgusting.
The Constitution
This country is governed by the United States Constitution, a very precise and well thought out document. Most nation’s constitutions last around 17 years or so, ours has been around for well over 200 years.
It has been said for a while now that our Constitution is outdated, that it is wholly unsuited for the governance of this country any longer. That is yet another leftist lie, and a huge manipulation attempt engaged in by the leftists and the media which for the most part are the lapdogs of the Left.
The real problem is the people, at least many of them. The U.S. Constitution was a document designed to govern a Christian people, a people who closely follow, revere, obey, and worship Jesus Christ. Most of “We the People” no longer even acknowledge God, let alone worship and obey Him. Many who say they follow the One true God do not, they give mere lip service and no more.
“One of the foremost constitutional theorists of the founding generation, John Adams, observed, ‘Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.’” (Source)
It is by no means the Constitution that is inadequate, it is the people who are inadequate. The Constitution didn’t change, the people did, and not for the better.
Of course, Google’s AI disputes this to no one’s surprise:
“AI Overview
The idea that the U.S. Constitution was designed to govern a Christian people is inaccurate. The Constitution is a secular document that deliberately avoids mentioning Christianity or God, and its text establishes a government that is neutral toward religion.” (Source)
The Founding Fathers and the Constitution
It is said that the Constitution’s text is secular, that because of the inclusion of the “no religion test,” and the “Establishment Clause,” among other things, that our Constitution is secular, not at all a model for a Christian nation. These arguments are false, and deliberately so.
Another popular and equally false strategy is the claim that many Founding Fathers were deists, if one digs into the meat of this, one will find that for the most part, this is not true.
If the Founding Fathers were not followers of God, then why were they often known to pray to Him? Why were battles in the war against England for our independence, in which we had the equivalent of toys compared to their well-armed huge gunships, battles we rightly should have lost, many of which we won, attributed to God, the Eternal Son, etc.? Why were the Founding Father’s writings filled with thousands of references to God? Why are most of our government buildings decorated with Scripture and other witness to God? Why did Congress in the beginning and for some time thereafter open in prayer (Sometimes hours long)? Why was the very Constitution itself framed to follow the dictates of God Almighty, as well as other documents, such as the Bill of Rights?
Why did Founding Father and the second president of the United States, John Adams, declare that the U.S. Constitution was, “only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other,” if said Constitution is only a secular document?
Stop Believing the Leftist Lies
Charlie Kirk didn’t believe this nonsense and neither should we. The U.S. has moved further and further away from God and closer and closer to divine punishment. I believe some people are waking up to the left’s manipulation and dishonesty. Kirk’s death has been a huge and dramatic wake up call to many people the world over.
It’s time for the leftists and all others who use their offices, their power, and their influence to line their own pockets, to pave the way to power for themselves, to insure a place in front of the cameras – while at the same time destroying our nation from the inside out with wasteful spending, open borders, a weak military and understaffed police to name just a few, it’s time to hold them accountable and say, enough!
Most major U.S. cities are failing in every way that counts, and most of them are run by leftist Democrats.
If being in public office doesn’t mean serving your country to you, then leave office. It’s not about you; it’s about all the people you represent.
If you don’t want to be a part of a nation that bends the knee to Jesus Christ, leave. Move to North Korea, China, Iran, or Russia, be sure to let me know how that goes for you.
Freedom isn’t spending ourselves into oblivion. It’s not about allowing people to cross the border and seriously endanger the safety of our own people either. Neither is it represented by training our military on transgender, homosexual, and lesbian “rights,” while actual military readiness training is not completed, and equipment is not updated and replaced on a timely basis. Freedom isn’t in making the “rules” so complicated that no one can possibly follow them, and new businesses are almost impossible to start and maintain.
Just because CNN and MSNBC report it, that doesn’t mean it’s the truth. Because Google search finds it, doesn’t mean that the results are honest and not tampered with to the owners’ satisfaction. If it’s on X or Facebook, or TikTok, that doesn’t mean it’s real “news.”
Honoring Charlie Kirk
I pray Charlie Kirk’s death will not be in vain, but will in all actuality become a blessing to our nation, a tough and hard one to swallow, but our God can and will use all things to our good, if we choose to allow Him to. God forces no one to worship Him, hence the reason why this country is in the dire straits that it is.
To see a nice presentation honoring Charlie Kirk, and a very insightful, fast paced, and interesting presentation on the Constitution and the Founding Fathers, watch the video linked or included below. Yes, it’s in a church, but the content is as I have described.

Happy Constitution Day
By Allen West
September 16, 2025
American Constitutional Rights Union
It was today, 17 September 1787, 238 years ago, that the rule of law governing the longest-running constitutional Republic the world has ever known was signed. It would be some two years later that the Constitution of the United States of America would be ratified by the 13 states. The most integral part of our Constitution that had to be added was the first ten amendments, known as our individual Bill of Rights. I first took the oath to support and defend the Constitution on 31 July 1982 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, at the Stokely Athletic Center, picture attached. My Dad and two other generations in my family took the same oath…as well as my Father-in-Law, all combat veterans.

Sadly, last week we watched a young man lose his life as he enjoyed one of those individual freedoms, the right to free speech.
Now, more than ever, we must recommit, take an oath, all of us, to the Constitution of the United States, our rule of law. We must honor the incredible work of James Madison, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton. Men who read the words of the French political theorist Montesquieu, The Spirit of the Laws, created our three branches of government. Our elected officials must abide by our rule of law, not subscribe to destructive ideologies that are the antithesis of our Constitution….Marxism, Socialism, Progressivism, Communism.
We can no longer tolerate the abject and blatant violations of our Constitution, as we saw with Biden’s open borders policy. We can no longer subjugate ourselves to a belief that the government should be telling us what type of car to drive, how much water to flush, what shower heads to have, and what appliances to own. We can no longer accept a philosophy of governance that would render citizens subjects by disarming them, denying them their constitutional right to bear arms.
Today is the day when a Philadelphia socialite named Mrs. Powel, asked a pertinent question to Benjamin Franklin…”Well, doctor, what do we have, a monarchy or a Republic?” Franklin’s response was astute and resonates today: “A Republic if you can keep it”.
The American Constitutional Rights Union, of which I am the Executive Director, gives me the opportunity to continue to honor the oath I took 43 years ago. I am now 64 and have just as much determination and vigor in keeping that promise to the American people. I challenge you today to make this promise: that you will read the entire Constitution of the United States by the end of this week. Something that simple would honor the sacrifice of so many who had made the ultimate sacrifice and given the last full measure of devotion so that “the government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth”. We honor the man who uttered those words at the dedication of the cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
We honor Charlie Kirk, who lost his life speaking to our freedom of speech.
Happy Constitution Day, America; study it, honor it, support and defend it with all your might.
Steadfast and Loyal.

Constitution Day Should Be A Federal Holiday
The U.S. Constitution was signed September 17, 1787. Constitution Day commemorates that tremendous day. Today is Constitution Day.
Happy Constitution Day (CFP Photo)
September 17, 2025
Let's get rid of Labor Day, which was inspired by Marxism anyway, and replace it with Constitution Day. Make the paid holiday September 17 for celebration, and when September 17 falls on a weekday make it the following Monday. Instruct schools to suspend all classes and only have Constitution Day assemblies and education workshops (which is already law and is violated every year: Public Law 108-447 Section 111 of Title I, Division J, of the Fiscal Year 2005 Consolidated Appropriations Act, enacted into law on December 8, 2004, instructs each Federal agency to provide educational materials concerning the United States Constitution to each employee on September 17 of each year.). In other words, let's use Constitution Day to get civics back into our schools.
The Constitution of the United States was designed to stand the test of time
The U.S. Constitution was signed September 17, 1787.
Constitution Day commemorates that tremendous day. Today is Constitution Day.
The importance of celebrating the anniversary of the signing of the
Constitution is tremendous, for we are not just observing an anniversary of the
signing of a document, but we are recognizing the creation of the greatest
political system ever conceived.
The Constitution of the United States was designed to stand the test of time,
and it has indeed endured over two centuries. For many, it is considered the
greatest document ever conceived, and it is held in high esteem by nearly all
Americans. But, the appreciation for the U.S. Constitution does not stop there.
The U.S. Constitution is also an object of admiration by peoples around the
world.
In 1824, Mexico actually created their own constitution that was largely
modeled after ours. Dictator Santa Anna, however, hated it, and slaughtered
Mexicans standing up for the 1824 Mexican constitution, drawing the United
States into the conflict which resulted in the Mexican-American War, which was
a war of liberation for the territories in what is today the southwestern
United States—a region that invited American troops because they wanted to be
separated from Santa Anna's bloody vision for Mexico's future.
A campaign against the American Constitution began even before the conflict to
save Mexico's territories from tyranny. The attacks against the U.S.
Constitution began internally, largely through judicial activism originally led
by John Marshall, a student of big government proponent Alexander Hamilton.
Liberal Left theorists and activist judges have created an environment where
the very foundations of this country have been seriously undermined, and are in
grave danger. Our core principles have been denigrated, and the Constitution
has been twisted through their anti-originalism interpretation so as to bend
and mold the Constitution into their Marxist leftist agenda, regardless of the
original intent of the document.
The violent hate for the Constitution by the progressive radical left is becoming more and more apparent with each passing day
Thanks to the rise of movements like the Tea Party and MAGA,
America's desire to become more informed as a result of the destruction of the
system by the leftist progressive democrats is on the rise. For many Americans,
their interest emerged during the Obama and Biden Presidencies, because in
their gut they knew their liberty was at risk. Americans realize that the
Leftist agenda and WOKEism are not just in opposition of the document, but seek
to destroy its original intent—a realization that led to the election of Donald
J. Trump as President of the United States again in 2024.
The violent hate for the Constitution by the progressive radical left is
becoming more and more apparent with each passing day, with the violent
rhetoric, the attempt on Donald Trump's life and the political assassination of
Charlie Kirk.
This makes September 17th even more important for Americans. It isn't just
another day, but an important observation of the day that the greatest
governing document ever created was signed.
We the People are what the Constitution is all about. The document limits the
authority of the federal government so as to protect the people from tyranny.
The more of us that understand this, and demand a return to the original intent
of the Constitution, the greater the chance we will reach a point where the
Trump Presidency represents a tipping point along the long journey back to
liberty.
The Constitution has endured for over 200 years, and its enduring integrity
cannot be taken for granted. We must be educated regarding the Constitution's
principles, and we must fight to preserve the Constitution, for our liberty's
future depends on it.
