Let’s take a look at the White House release on 4/18/25 of “LAB LEAK: The True Origins COVID-19”.
The White House release is abbreviated fact bullet points of the 12/4/24 a PDF 554-page House Coronavirus Pandemic Subcommittee final report entitled, “AFTER ACTION REVIEW OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: The Lessons Learned and a Path Forward”.
A good critique of what is and is not in the White House “LAB LEAK” comes from Substack 2nd Smartest Guy in the World posted 4/19/25 under the title, “Trump Updates COVID-19 Website & Annihilates The Scamdemic Perpetrators: WEEKEND FLASH SALE CONTINUES...”. The pseudonymous 2nd Smartest correctly shows displeasure toward President Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed” I share that displeasure yet still support Trump under the evaluation that the MAGA-plusses outweigh the bad Trump policies. AND I realize the mRNA injuries – and yes – deaths could turn out to be more genocidal than COVID disease itself. YET I weigh Trump’s pro-mRNA was based on a voluntary injection. The installed Biden Administration and Global forced via Mandates of the mRNA Jab are way more to be blamed than Trump voluntarism for mRNA injuries and deaths. At any rate 2nd Smartest touches on Ralph Baric’s Gain of Function (GoF) research at the University of North Carolina (UNC) being transferred to Wuhan. 2nd Smartest also maintains the COVID escaping Wuhan was more an unleashing than an accident. I tend to agree. The CCP has a long history of inflicting genocide on its own people to perpetuate their Communist agenda

Trump White House Exposes Anthony Fauci, COVID-19 Origins

In a bold move, President Donald Trump’s White House has published a new page titled “Lab Leak: The True Origin of COVID-19,” marking a decisive break from the official narrative pushed for years by government bureaucrats and left-wing media.
The administration is no longer mincing words: they believe the virus was man-made and likely leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
According to the Trump administration’s summary, there is now a “high degree of confidence” that the virus was not a natural spillover from animals to humans, but rather the result of risky experiments conducted in a Chinese lab with questionable safety protocols.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, long protected by the media and liberal elites, is under fire for misleading the public.
The White House report takes direct aim at Fauci, accusing him of downplaying the lab-leak theory while promoting a narrative not backed by sufficient evidence.
“Dr. Fauci repeatedly misled the public,” the report says.
It also claims he relied on cherry-picked data and dismissed mounting concerns, all while overseeing dangerous gain-of-function research using U.S. taxpayer dollars.
The administration outlines several key pieces of evidence: the genetic structure of COVID-19 shows traits that don’t exist in nature; the initial outbreak happened mere miles from the Wuhan lab; and all cases stemmed from a single introduction into humans, suggesting a lab-related event, as Trending Politics reported.
It also references intelligence that three Wuhan lab researchers were sick with COVID-like symptoms as early as fall 2019 — before China acknowledged any outbreak.
That fact alone, the administration argues, should’ve prompted deeper investigations years ago.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under Joe Biden is accused of obstructing attempts to uncover the truth.
According to the report, HHS officials launched a “multi-year campaign of delay and non-responsiveness,” possibly to shield senior bureaucrats like Fauci from accountability.
This wasn’t just a domestic cover-up.
The World Health Organization (WHO), the Trump team claims, worked hard to serve the Chinese Communist Party’s political interests rather than protecting global public health.
The WHO’s proposed “Pandemic Treaty” is highlighted as another dangerous development.
Trump officials warn that the treaty would hand more power to unelected global bodies, stripping sovereign nations like the U.S. of their ability to respond independently in a future crisis.
In a particularly infamous move, former President Joe Biden gave Dr. Fauci a full and unconditional pardon on his final day in office — a move that seemed to anticipate legal trouble once Trump returned.
Critics are calling the pardon a blatant attempt to prevent accountability.
“The American people deserve justice,” the White House stated. “Not a pardon for the man at the center of the cover-up.”
This release has reignited calls for full transparency, especially among Republicans in Congress, who are pushing for hearings, subpoenas, and criminal referrals.
The Trump administration says it’s committed to getting to the bottom of what happened — not just to assign blame, but to ensure that this never happens again.
“This was not just a health crisis,” the page states. “It was a failure of leadership, transparency, and truth.”

“The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” publication — which was used repeatedly by public health officials and the media to discredit the lab leak theory — was prompted by Dr. Fauci to push the preferred narrative that COVID-19 originated naturally.

The virus possesses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature.

Data shows that all COVID-19 cases stem from a single introduction into humans. This runs contrary to previous pandemics where there were multiple spillover events.

Wuhan is home to China’s foremost SARS research lab, which has a history of conducting gain-of-function research (gene altering and organism supercharging) at inadequate biosafety levels.

Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) researchers were sick with COVID-like symptoms in the fall of 2019, months before COVID-19 was discovered at the wet market.

By nearly all measures of science, if there was evidence of a natural origin it would have already surfaced. But it hasn’t.

PROXIMAL ORIGIN PUBLICATION:

GAIN-OF-FUNCTION RESEARCH:
A lab-related incident involving gain-of-function research is the most likely the origin of COVID-19. Current government mechanisms for overseeing this dangerous gain-of-function research are incomplete, severely convoluted, and lack global applicability.
ECOHEALTH ALLIANCE INC. (ECOHEALTH):
EcoHealth — under the leadership of Dr. Peter Daszak — used U.S. taxpayer dollars to facilitate dangerous gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China. After the Select Subcommittee released evidence of EcoHealth violating the terms of its National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) commenced official debarment proceedings and suspended all funding to EcoHealth.
New evidence also shows that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has opened an investigation into EcoHealth’s pandemic-era activities.
NIH FAILURES:
NIH’s procedures for funding and overseeing potentially dangerous research are deficient, unreliable, and pose a serious threat to both public health and national security. Further, NIH fostered an environment that promoted evading federal record keeping laws — as seen through the actions of Dr. David Morens and “FOIA Lady” Marge Moore.

HHS OBSTRUCTION:
The Biden Administration’s HHS engaged in a multi-year campaign of delay, confusion, and non-responsiveness in an attempt to obstruct the Select Subcommittee’s investigation and hide evidence that could incriminate or embarrass senior public health officials. It appears that HHS even intentionally under-resourced its component that responds to legislative oversight requests.
ECOHEALTH OBSTRUCTION:
EcoHealth President Dr. Peter Daszak obstructed the Select Subcommittee’s investigation by providing publicly available information, instructing his staff to reduce the scope and pace of productions, and doctoring documents before releasing them to the public. Further, Dr. Daszak provided false statements to Congress.
DR. DAVID MORENS:
Dr. Fauci’s Senior Advisor, Dr. David Morens, deliberately obstructed the Select Subcommittee’s investigation, likely lied to Congress on multiple occasions, unlawfully deleted federal COVID-19 records, and shared nonpublic information about NIH grant processes with EcoHealth President Dr. Peter Daszak.
NEW YORK OBSTRUCTION:
New York’s Executive Chamber — led presently by Governor Kathy Hochul — redacted documents, offered numerous illegitimate privilege claims, and withheld thousands of documents without an apparent legal basis to obstruct the Select Subcommittee’s investigation into former Governor Cuomo’s pandemic-era failures.

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO):
The WHO’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic was an abject failure because it caved to pressure from the Chinese Communist Party and placed China’s political interests ahead of its international duties. Further, the WHO’s newest effort to solve the problems exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic — via a “Pandemic Treaty” — may harm the United States.
SOCIAL DISTANCING:
The “6 feet apart” social distancing recommendation — which shut down schools and small business across the country — was arbitrary and not based on science. During closed door testimony, Dr. Fauci testified that the guidance “sort of just appeared.”
MASK MANDATES:
There was no conclusive evidence that masks effectively protected Americans from COVID-19. Public health officials flipped-flopped on the efficacy of masks without providing Americans scientific data — causing a massive uptick in public distrust.
LOCKDOWNS:
Prolonged lockdowns caused immeasurable harm to not only the American economy, but also to the mental and physical health of Americans, with a particularly negative effect on younger citizens. Rather than prioritizing the protection of the most vulnerable populations, federal and state government policies forced millions of Americans to forgo crucial elements of a healthy and financially sound life.
NEW YORK PANDEMIC FAILURES:
Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s March 25 Order — which forced nursing homes to accept COVID-19 positive patients — “was medical malpractice.” Evidence shows that Mr. Cuomo and his Administration worked to cover up the tragic aftermath of their policy decisions in an apparent effort to shield themselves from accountability.

COVID-19 MISINFORMATION:
Public health officials often mislead the American people through conflicting messaging, knee-jerk reactions, and a lack of transparency. Most egregiously, the federal government demonized alternative treatments and disfavored narratives, such as the lab leak theory, in a shameful effort to coerce and control the American people’s health decisions.
When those efforts failed, the Biden Administration resorted to “outright censorship—coercing and colluding with the world’s largest social media companies to censor all COVID-19-related dissent.”
