Deadly Consequences

Using Kate Steinle as a starting point, Justin Smith lays out some villainous acts committed by illegal aliens in America.

Deadly Consequences

Kate Steinle's murder was one terrible tragedy in a sea of thousands that are committed each year by criminal illegal aliens, who are too often gang members. And her death is especially sad and tragic, because it was so unnecessary and preventable, if only San Francisco had not been a sanctuary city, allowing illegals to come and go as they pleased; Kate's murderer had already been deported five previous times.

In the days that followed, the Associated Press reported on several more murders by illegal aliens: On July 2nd, Traci Lemley and Jeremy Carrico were murdered in San Antonio, TX by the Mexican Mafia; Jose Valenzuela was charged with the murders of Michael Carrecia and his wife; on July 3rd, Juan Ramirez, an illegal alien in Washington state, was charged with the murder of an 18 year old young lady and her baby boy, setting them on fire; on July 4th, a Haitian "voodoo priest" was arrested for child rape in Florida.

And, while individual murders are a horror unto themselves, there also is an evident national security concern regarding Islamic illegal aliens, such as Mohamed Mamdouh, who plotted to detonate explosives in Manhattan synagogues in 2011. He subsequently pleaded guilty to three charges and received a five year prison sentence.

In 2009, Steve Camarota, from the Center for Immigration Studies, found that 22% of felons in Maricopa County, Arizona were illegal aliens. He also observed that 43 of the 76 fugitive murders most wanted by the FBI were foreign born at the time.

As Judicial Watch reported in 2014, 61,529 criminal cases were initiated by federal prosecutors, with 40% or 24,746 having been filed in court districts near the Mexican border. 12,123 were violent crimes.

Statistics from the state of California show that 95% of murder warrants in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens. 75% of the people on Los Angele's most wanted list are illegal aliens. 25% of all California's prisoners are Mexican nationals here illegally; and on a related note, 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens. [Potential Source Confirmation HERE and HERE]

In 2010, New York state prisons held more than 4,000 inmates from ten Latin American and Caribbean nations and fewer than 150 from Western European nations.

These statistics should not surprise anyone, since Hispanics now outnumber whites in California and New Mexico. Hispanics are now the largest minority group in 21 other states, including New York, Massachusetts, Texas, Oregon and Wyoming.

A great deal of our current crisis centering on illegal aliens stems from a lack of political will to catch and deport the illegals in Progressive majority states, and while past administrations have been less than diligent in this regard, the Obama administration has laid out the welcome mat for illegal aliens. His lead has indicated to sanctuary cities like San Francisco that they can facilitate catch and release as policy and refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

The Center for Immigration Studies released a map, on July 8th, of more than 200 sanctuary cities that span the U.S. These areas maintain policies, regulations, executive orders and laws they use to rebuff federal immigration law enforcement authorities and federal law, that authorizes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to administratively deport illegal aliens without seeking criminal warrants or convictions from any court.

Jessica Vaughn, CIS director of policy studies, said the number of sanctuary cities "might be closer to 300", if one includes jurisdictions that provide welfare benefits, public housing, driver's licenses or municipal ID cards.

The list of sanctuary cities includes Miami, FL _ Ann Arbor and Detroit, MI _ Denver, Fort Collins and Durango, CO _ Northampton, Springfield and Chelsea, MA _ and Phoenix, Mesa and Tucson, AZ. Virtually every major city in California, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon and Texas are included, along with, of all places, Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Washington, D.C.

It is surreal to now witness Hillary Clinton and Senators Barbara Boxer (CA) and Dianne Feinstein (CA) joining Donald Trump and other Republicans in condemnation of sanctuary policies. They have staunchly defended the right of cities to implement these catch-and-release policies in the past. And now, in a fit of hypocrisy, Sen. Feinstein recently stated, "The tragic death of MS Steinle could have been avoided if the Sheriff's Department had notified ICE prior to the release of Sanchez, which would have allowed ICE to remove him from the country."

MS Kathryn Steinle would still be alive today, if only the San Francisco Sheriff's Department had done the right thing and called ICE. They didn't need a warrant for pot or anything else in order to make that call and hold Sanchez until ICE could assume custody. All they needed was the fact that he crossed our border illegally. One phone call and Jim Steinle would be hugging a living, breathing young lady, rather than having to bury her on July 9th.

When questioned by an NBC Bay Area reporter, about San Francisco's sanctuary policies and whether or not Mayor Ed Lee and San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi bore some responsibility for her daughter Kate's death, Liz Sullivan said, "It would have been so much better if he [Sanchez] were gone. Absolutely."

Now, Mayor Ed Lee, who championed San Francisco's sanctuary ordinance when it was introduced in 2013, is bowing to the pressure, stating on Wednesday (the 8th) that he would speak to federal officials about participating in a new Obama administration deportation program.

[Blog Editor: I hate doing this to the flow of Justin’s erudite flow of Obama’s horrific agenda with illegal aliens in the USA, but I did some reading in conjunction SF Mayor Ed Lee would revise SF’s sanctuary city policy to participate in the “new Obama administration deportation program.” The Mayor’s so-called new direction will provide little comfort to the victims of illegal alien committed crimes. Check out these excerpts to show my point:

A series of legal setbacks have halted the government’s intensive preparations to move forward with President Obama’s executive actions shielding millions of illegal immigrants from deportation, even as community organizations continue a rapid push to get ready for the programs, according to U.S. officials and immigrant advocacy groups.

Since a federal judge first blocked the new programs in February, the Department of Homeland Security has suspended plans to ….

Yet inside and outside the Beltway, community groups are mobilizing, educating immigrants and training volunteers to help them apply for relief, even though it remains unclear whether the program will ever begin. Most recently, a foundation headed by billionaire George Soros, undaunted by the court rulings, pledged at least $8 million to that effort.

Obama announced in November that up to 5 million illegal immigrants would be eligible to be shielded from deportation — including undocumented parents of U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents — as long as they met certain criteria. … (Obama administration stops work on immigrant program; By Jerry Markon; WaPo; 6/7/15)

And from Allen West:

Within the past month, we’ve brought to your attention the release of some 3,700 “Threat Level One” illegal immigrants. We also shared — on Fox News’ “On the Record” with Greta von Susteren — the case of some 121 released illegal immigrants who’ve committed murders. … Now we learn even more about the fundamental transformation of America — perhaps we should be less concerned about n-words and Confederate flags.

As reported by the Washington Times:
The administration has ordered agents to begin ignoring many of the illegal immigrants they encounter in prisons and jails, as President Obama begins to implement a lesser-known part of his deportation amnesty policy — though his program isn’t sitting well with either side of the immigration debate.
In a nod to so-called sanctuary cities, the president’s policy prohibits U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from targeting most illegal immigrants for deportation, including most of those who come into contact with state and local police.
Agents can still troll jails and prisons, but are told to no longer go after illegal immigrants with offenses such as drug possession, theft or fraud if it involved stealing an identity to try to further their unlawful presences in the U.S., according to details of the policy released Tuesday by the House Judiciary Committee.

First of all, President Obama’s claim that criminal illegal immigrants would be priority for deportations appears to be false. Secondly, any city or county not complying with our constitutional republic’s rule of law shouldn’t receive federal funding. It’s unconscionable that we have these violations of our statutes -- …

Even some illegal immigrants who’ve been charged with serious felonies but are released by local authorities won’t be picked up by immigration agents until they’re actually convicted, the committee said.

Here’s what happens under Obama’s Priority Enforcement Program (PEP):

Under the program, agents will ignore many of the illegal immigrants they encounter and will change the type of cooperation they request from state and local police. Agents generally won’t ask a department to hold an immigrant who otherwise would be released, but instead will ask to be notified so they can be on hand for the release and have the immigrant transferred.
In limited instances, agents will still issue detainer requests, but will have to assert probable cause so police have a reason to detain people beyond their normal release dates.
“ICE will only seek transfer of individuals in state and local custody in specific, limited circumstances. ICE will only issue a detainer where an individual fits within DHS’s narrower enforcement priorities and ICE has probable cause that the individual is removable,” the agency said in a brochure describing the program. “In many cases, rather than issue a detainer, ICE will instead request notification (at least 48 hours, if possible) of when an individual is to be released. ICE will use this time to determine whether there is probable cause to conclude that the individual is removable.” (How come nobody seems to care about Obama’s latest illegal immigration move? By Allen West; AllenBWest.com; 6/24/15)

Hmm… Mayor Ed Lee, I can’t see how participating in the “new Obama administration deportation program” would have prevented the murder of Kate Steinle by illegal alien Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez  with a criminal past would have been prevented.]

Donald Trump is absolutely right when he states: "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best ... They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems to us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

Americans must demand an end to sanctuary cities and the catch-and-release policies that have such deadly consequences. Americans must demand an end to Obama's open borders policies that come with too high a cost. Americans must demand the enforcement of existing immigration laws and the deportation of those caught here illegally. Americans must demand secure borders and a stop to the murders of our innocent citizens like Kate Steinle, whose family will love her and sorely miss her from this day on.
