Jerry Golden is a Messianic Jew who has a Ministry in Israel. Messianic Jew is code for a Jew who believes Jesus Christ is the Messiah. Messianic Jews are a bit controversial among Jews and Christians.
Jews disdain Messianic Jews as either treasonous to Judaism or Gentiles pretending to be Christian Jews.
Many Christians are concerned that Messianic Jews are embracing legalistic ritualistic Law over the Saving Grace of God through faith in Christ. (See examples HERE – sorry about annoying music - and HERE)
Golden appears to be the authentic Jewish person that is not trusted by Orthodox Jews. Golden’s ministry is to find a way for European Jews to make Aliyah to Israel (i.e. immigrate to Israel). In so doing Golden often writes about the political current events of the day through the eyes of a Messianic Jew/Christian.
