A NEW EXODUS

I can't think of anyone's toes that are faithful readers of Jeffrey that would feel stepped on. I only wish there were more people writing about the Muslim persecution of Christians in Egypt (and elsewhere in the Muslim world). If indeed there is a Coptic Christian genocide it would make the Jewish Holocaust shrink in travesty. What would the West do for Egyptian-Christians?

A NEW EXODUS

Charleton Heston as Moses

By Danny Jeffrey
August 28, 2012

In this essay I may step on some toes and offend some readers but I feel that any man who lacks the courage to speak his mind is of no use to anyone, and so I shall speak.

One of the very first essays that I wrote described the the (sic) plight of the Copts in pre-revolutionary Egypt. I wrote of young girls being kidnapped for wives, sex slaves, and forced prostitution, of sons, tortured and murdered for the sheer delight of the Muslim majority, and of churches burned as a form of weekend entertainment for the madmen of Islam.

That was Egypt under Mubarak, a nation devoid of morality where non-Muslims would always be second class citizens, subject to the doctrines of a strong man regime who afforded but little protection to the Christian minority. Not a good life for anyone, and so when Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, the U.N. and our news media demanded change, the Copts, having faith in America, foolishly joined their Muslim oppressors in Tahrir Square seeking new leadership. In doing so they found new leaders and helped to open the gates of Hell.

Obama's plan for the overthrow of President Mubarak was drawn from Carter's successful assault on the Shah of Iran, and both led to the same outcome. The Shah and Mubarak led a harsh oligarchical regime and ruled with an iron hand. There were many grounds for dissent within their respective nations, but when dealing with Muslims, one must expect dissent, for there are only two forms of government under which they can live, Sharia or a harsh dictatorship. No other form of government can control the hatred of life taught to them from birth.

Nothing better vindicates that statement than the reaction of Muslims in lands where freedom once flourished. They prefer the harsh dictates of Sharia to the promise of freedom. They are undeserving of the privilege to live as free men.

Freedom has never existed in Egypt and probably never will. They simply lack the mental makeup to accept freedom as part of life. The Copts have always been the scapegoats of Islam, possessing few rights under Mubarak and now they have none, and are facing a future of certain genocide.

Their history dates back two thousand years as they are the descendants of the original Egyptians, in fact Copt means Egyptian. Islam is not native to Egypt, arriving instead from Saudi Arabia wielding a sword. The Copts' two thousand years of history will soon end, for without even the limited protection of a dictator they will in time be sacrificed to Allah, every last man, woman, and child. Tyranny is upon them and they must either accept certain death or escape the bounds of Egypt.

Watch this very
brief video. Listen to the priest in his appeal to Heaven. He is speaking in Arabic but you can read his words in subtitles. Read the words, hear the passion and fear in his voice. He is desperate and he is telling Heaven that his people need an immediate answer to their prayers, He says "Save us O Lord, we cry from this tumult. We have none but you." He is correct!

There was a time when America was the great savior of much of the world. Those days are gone. None step forward to aid the Copts. The Obama administration has aligned itself repeatedly on the side of Islam as evidenced in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and now in Syria. In keeping with their Progressive agenda the news media keeps a tight lid on the plight of this besieged group of one of the world's oldest Christian sects. Few Americans are even aware of the problem and still fewer care. It is said that God answers all prayers. If that be true then it must be accepted that sometime the answer is "No." I hate to be the one to break the news to the old priest but he can count on no divine intervention.

Six million Jews perished praying in Europe, and they perished anyway. So too will the Copts unless they embrace the promise that "The Lord helps those who help themselves." If the Copts hope to survive at all then they must take their own rescue unto themselves for none else will aid them, starting with the fact that so few are even aware of their existence. They, and only they, can change that, and I can see only one method by which that can take place ... Follow in the footprints of Moses. Exodus Part Two!

Moses was a hard man. He was a strong man, and a great leader, and he knew full well the death toll that such a venture as a trek to the Holy Land would involve, and that was a price he chose to pay. The sick, the aged and the weak set forth, and a great many of them must have died before they ever took that first footstep out of Egypt, but when he said "Let my people go." he did not mean just the healthy and able. He meant all of his people. The old priest in the video should say the same and be prepared for the consequences. Nothing worth having comes without cost.

How many Copts would die embarking on a trek to Israel? I don't know, thousands, maybe tens of thousands, maybe more. It may sound cold but the number is irrelevant, because if they do not do this then all will surely die in Egypt. That nation is now slipping into a state of collective insanity. The Islamists openly admit to their plans to destroy the Pyramids and wage war on all infidels, the closest of which are the Copts, currently residing within the new Islamic asylum.

Can such a thing be done in the 21st. century? Yes! And it won't take forty years, nor will they be lost and alone in the wilderness. Rest assured that if they have the courage and the organization to begin the effort, the people of the world will sit up and take notice. Even the bleeding heart liberals would have to reach out to them with food, water, and medical supplies, and hopefully, a lot of shoes, because it is a long walk to the promised land.

The population of Egypt in 2011 was determined to be 82,536,770. The Copt population is estimated to be twelve to fifteen percent of the total population and that would put their numbers in the range of twelve million people. The world's liberal media can gloss over many issues but they could never hope to hide such a massive migration, nor could they hope to hide the reason for it, and that would be the turning point for the entire world.

If such a plan were to be seriously considered and the details worked out, no one could ever again defend the Religion of Peace. The true nature of that hideous belief would be laid bare before humanity and things would begin to change. Obama and his advocates can praise Islam all they want but if fifteen million victims stood before the world and said "He's lying and we're leaving." humanity would be forced to open their eyes.

As Moses must have often said, "Just Keep Walking."

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to David Horowitz, founder of Front Page Magazine, and to Walid Shoebat who did the Arabic to English translation in the featured video that gave birth to this idea.

Addendum ...
I have a brilliant and knowledgeable friend who read this on a website in London and sent me the following comment. It would appear that my thoughts expressed in the above essay will not work unless they replace their Pope. He stands in support of the Palestinians, supports suicide bombing, and threatens his people with excommunication if they visit Israel. It is impossible to deal with a hard core racist and his hatred for Jews is apparent. As long as the Copts accept his leadership then they must bear the cross he has burdened them with.
Shiva's comment:

Yo Danny. the Israelis have been employing Thais and Philipinos for quite some time now. The Israelis no doubt would have had no problem employing copts, the problem came from the Coptic Pope Shenouda III.

The 1967 Six Day War with Israel changed the face of Coptic pilgrimage to Jerusalem. With the loss of East Jerusalem from Jordanian control, pilgrimage to the Holy City rapidly came to a halt as pilgrims now would have been visiting a country with which their nation was at war, hardly offering the Israeli administration good incentive to provide a visa. For the next eleven years, the state of war continued to prevent Coptic pilgrimage as a matter of national law and wartime politics, condoned by Pope Shenouda III.

However, starting with the 1978 Peace Accords of Camp David, the clarity of why the pilgrimage could not be undertaken vanished.

The agreements made at Camp David paved the way for the 1979 Peace Treaty between Israel and Egypt, brokered by President Anwar Sadat of Egypt and Prime Minister Menachem Begin of Israel and witnessed by President Jimmy Carter of the United States of America on March 26, 1979.

While the treaty itself did not contain any explicit mention or specific clause relating to Christian pilgrimage in Jerusalem or the Coptic Orthodox population, Christian participation in the treaty appears to have been an underlying tacit part of the agreement. Israeli tourism to Egypt had boomed following the treaty, with little to no reciprocal effect on the part of Egyptians. The treaty was unpopular in Egypt making the Egyptian visits that would normalize Egypto-Israeli relations as outlined in the treaty unlikely from the majority Muslim population. Thus, the Coptic Orthodox pilgrimage could have provided the necessary solution: an Egyptian group with pre-existing impetus to visit Jerusalem (and therefore Israel) that could be utilized to normalize relations without requiring a massive change in popular opinion from the Muslim community in Egypt. However, Pope Shenouda III did not sign on to this plan to restore the pilgrimage; in 1979, as the Treaty of Peace between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Israel was going into effect, Pope Shenouda III decreed a papal ban on Coptic Orthodox visits to Israel

His stance toward Israel was elucided by his words:

From the Arabic national point we should not abandon our Palestinian brothers and our Arabic brothers by normalizing our relations with the Jews…From the church point of view, Copts who go to Jerusalem betray their church in the case of “Al-Sultan Monastery” that Israel refuses to give to the Copts.

He also warned that Copts who visited Jerusalem would face excommunication on the premise that there was “no pilgrimage duty in Christianity and it is not a religious pillar, so since this visit can do harm to our national cause and [to the] Muslim and Christian people then we better not visit Jerusalem.” He added that Copts should only go to Jerusalem after peace was established in the region.

His view on Palestinian suicide bombers was political not religious in his belief that it was a “natural reaction to the pressure and depression in which Palestinians live. They do not see any alternative but to explode themselves in the face of an enemy that uses all the means of power with no mercy.”

So there is no question of an Exodus to Israel.

About Danny Jeffrey:

I'm sixty seven and since Ronald Reagan left office I have watched my country slowly deteriorate as freedoms are lost and the value of our currency dwindles. This has been a slow but steady decline until Barrack Obama entered the White House. I will not refer to this man as President. That is a job that deserves respect and he has earned none at all. I am convinced that were it not for the Tea Party stirring up the public we would now be living under a total dictatorship. He seeks only power and has no loyalty at all to the United States, and as long as he is in office I shall write to any who will read and speak of what he is and what he is doing to this country.
