Sarah Palin Says Allen West for Vice President

Allen West - Patriot backdrow
Did you know there is a draft Rep. Allen West campaign for Vice President running mate with probable nominee Mitt Romney as President?

Frankly there is several viable Tea Party style Conservatives I would love to see as Romney’s VP. Rep. West is one of those. I know it is unlikely but I would love to see Sarah Palin as the VP candidate; however her speculation of others as nominee may mean she is not going to engage in the politics to be on a VP list.

Because I like Rep. Allen West I am going to post this as an informative device for others to pass on if you believe West should be the VP nomination with Mitt Romney as the nomination for President.

Dear Fellow Patriot
Our Draft Allen West campaign is off to a flying start. In less than 24 hours supporters from over 25 states have signed up to support this cause.

Defeating Barack Obama is not going to be easy. Republicans need a team that unites all factions of the party.

Without a "Tea Party” conservative candidate on the ticket, who comes from the new wave of Republican leaders elected in 2010, there is little hope of energizing conservative/Tea Party voters in sufficient numbers to defeat Barack Obama.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has cautioned the Party against following the conventional wisdom of nominating a "safe” candidate for Vice-President, under the mistaken belief that he or she will not be attacked by the media.

She has warned that there is no such thing as a "safe” candidate. "No matter who gets nominated they're going to get beat up. They're going to get clobbered. The media will make things up about them.”

According to former Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Palin, the Republican Party "might as well nominate someone who is passionate and strong like Allen West. He understands the Constitution and wants to put government back on the side of the people.”

We believe that Allen West is a man of integrity, a man who represents the conservative beliefs and values of the vast majority of Republicans.

Representative West is a uniquely qualified individual. He has the experience, the integrity, and the judgment to step in as President, if need be, and he is a man who hasn't been corrupted by the political establishment in Washington.

Representative West proudly served 22 years in the United States Army. He is a military scholar, with a deep understanding of the threat of radical Islam against the United States.

He challenged the liberal Republican establishment in Florida, and won a seat in Congress. Now he is ready to take on the establishment in Washington.

He was a fearless leader on the battlefield, and he is now a fearless leader in Congress. He is the kind of leader that we desperately need in this time of crisis.

Allen West has earned the respect of grassroots Republicans across the nation, because of his outstanding qualities of leadership.

The Republican establishment fears Allen West, because he is an unabashed patriot and a tea party conservative--and because he cannot be controlled by them.

True to his nature, Colonel West gave a straightforward answer to the question of serving as Vice-President, if called upon to do so. His answer:

"I am always willing to serve my country.”

Support for our campaign to collect the endorsements of thousands of Americans for Congressman West is already flooding in. If we are to succeed, we must rapidly mobilize thousands of Americans to rally behind Allen West.

An intensive lobbying campaign directed at the 2,000 plus delegates to the Republican National Convention must start immediately.

Our goal is to show Republican leaders that nominating Allen West for Vice President will electrify conservative voters, and help candidates up and down the ticket win in November.

A contribution of $50, $100, $250, or more, up to the limit of $5,000, would make a big difference.

This is a battle for the future of the Republican Party.

Please, join with us today, and give Congressman Allen West your swift and generous support, it's not a moment too soon.

Sincerely,

Who should be nominated for Vice-President at the Republican National Convention?

Here is what Herman Cain had to say in answer to that question:

"Colonel Allen West out of Florida," Cain said. "Here's why. He is well-spoken, he is direct, people in Florida love him, he has a huge following. He is from Florida. Florida is going to be one of those key states. But more importantly, Colonel Allen West is a dedicated patriot. He served in the military, and he is willing to serve his country some more."

The establishment power brokers in Washington are working behind the scenes to limit the choices to a list of candidates considered “acceptable” by the politicians, by the lobbyists, and by the national news media.

A recent Washington Post story published a list of 18 so-called contenders for the Republican Vice Presidential nomination, and never once mentioned Allen West. They listed many names of potential candidates that no one is supporting, or even talking about, but not Allen West.

They were well aware of the fact that Allen West had been endorsed by Sarah Palin when they wrote that story. That alone should be enough to propel any candidate to serious consideration.

Here is what Governor Palin said when asked who the Republicans should nominate for Vice President:

“Top of my list is Allen West,” she said. “I love that he has that military experience. He is a public servant willing to serve for the right reasons.”

“He understands the Constitution.”

“He understands our national foreign policy issues that must be addressed.”

“He has served. I really like him.”

But, the Republican establishment doesn’t want Colonel West to be nominated.  They fear a man like Allen West because, he is not bought and paid for--and never will be.

He is a threat to the “go along to get along” attitude that prevails in Washington.

Who the Republican Party chooses for Vice President is a critical decision, because it could determine the success or failure of the Republican ticket in 2012, and the leadership of the Party for the next four years.

It’s not a secret that many conservatives and Tea Party Americans are not enthusiastic about Mitt Romney.  But another four years of Barack Obama is unthinkable, and he must be defeated.

Nominating Allen West for Vice-President would send a signal to everyone that conservatives, and Tea Party Americans, would be welcome in a Romney Administration.

It also signals a willingness to promote conservative leaders who will be strong contenders for future leadership beyond 2012.

If the Republican Party is to unite and defeat Barack Obama, it must have the strong support of all factions within the Party.

That’s why it is not only desirable, but absolutely critical, that the party nominate Allen West for Vice-President.

Please join this important cause today. If we accept a Vice-Presidential candidate hand-picked by the Republican establishment, it will be a disaster for our Party, and for our country.

Republicans are hungry for leaders like Allen West who care more about saving the country than they do about obtaining power.

Please join this historic effort to Draft Allen West for Vice-President today!

Sincerely,
