Here is another example that the Muslim Brotherhood is not as non-violent as they and their Muslim apologists claim. When or if free elections are held in Egypt the least problem is the MB will have an influential part in a democratically elected government. At worst the MB will be controlling factor in an elected Egyptian government.
From an individual American perspective in which we cherish the rule of law for and by the people, this actually sounds great. Unfortunately the Islamic view of democracy and the Western view of democracy are clashing cultures apart. Islam is theopolitical. Theopolitical means even if a Muslim nation claims a secular government the rule of law is based on Islamic Sharia Law. Even if the penalties called for in Sharia are softened by moderate-secular Muslims the framework is still Muslim. This means non-Muslims still do not have the rights of Muslims. Even though moderate secularization softens the treatment of women even providing election suffrage, the Muslim male still can force his wife or daughter into a submissive role which easily can lead to sexual exploitation and the lack of freedom to do the same things as a Muslim male. Muslim secularism may afford large minorities a greater freedom to practice a divergent religion from Islam, but Islam is supreme. Christians in Egypt still have to get permission to build new Churches. Egyptian Christians have next to no recourse if Muslims are offended by Christians. Muslims then embark on a pogrom to destroy Churches, exact violence or even sexually molest Christian women. Indeed it is not uncommon to read about a Christian women being kidnapped and forced to convert. If a Muslim becomes an apostate and converts to Christianity in Egypt and it is discovered, then that person can expect violent torture up to and including death even though secular law in Egypt has renounced the death penalty for apostasy.
I could on with more examples but I think you get the point. An Egypt that elects an Islamist Muslim Brotherhood will be under the much harsher elements of Sharia as well as becoming militarized to prepare the goal of a global Caliphate.
The Western example that most readers have grown weary of reading is the comparison of Egypt becoming an Iran or looking at the similitude of Adolf Hitler’s democratic elected government gaining more and more power until the rule of law abandoned constitutional law and became based on Hitler’s Nazi vision of a Germanic super race cleansing the world of perceived abnormalities of which the Jews were considered the largest abnormality.
It is reported that the Muslim Brotherhood has reactivated the military wing which really means the terrorist wing of their Salafist organization. That military wing is called Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya (SA IPT). Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya (IG) could easily mirror Hitler’s paramilitary Storm Troopers or Khomeini’s Revolutionary Guard which did their utmost to secure the incoming power structure of their master.
The only certainty for Egypt’s future is that Hosni Mubarak and the Mubarak legacy is finished. Egypt’s future will be between Egyptian Generals and the Islamic version of a democratic republic which would probably empower the Muslim Brotherhood. Time should tell sooner than later.
