You are aware the government controls a lot of what you might consider staples for living through State and Federal regulations and the government agencies that enforce the regulations. Increasingly those government agencies are given the authority to regulate by fiat as Congress eschews oversight to the favor of the agency. This means a government agency can design and enforce policy and regulations without Congressional enactment of law signed by the President or vetoed by the President.
One such bill is Senate bill 510. I know Alex Jones might be a little on the fringe side of Conspiracy Theory; nonetheless his InfoWars.com website provides a decent picture of the intrusiveness of S510. Be sure to read it. Below is a quote from Shiv Chopra in that Info War article:
“If accepted [S 510] would preclude the public’s right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes. It will become the most offensive authority against the cultivation, trade and consumption of food and agricultural products of one’s choice. It will be unconstitutional and contrary to natural law or, if you like, the will of God.”
Below is another article that I am posting here entitled, “The Tyranny of S510”.

Decent picture? Yeah, right. And the only things missing are the UFOs and little green men from Mars.
