Libertarianism, Morality and Samson Blinded

Many (and I do mean many) years ago I was quite attracted to Libertarianism. I was transitioning from a Center Left Democrat to a Christian Right Conservative with a Neocon bent. In between I was a Libertarian. I was even a card carrying member of the Libertarian Party.
I became quite disenchanted with the politics of the Collective (i.e. equalizing wealth by spreading it around). I came to the conclusion that the Collective was coercive and forced some who had worked hard for their property (rather real or intellectual) to share with those who chose to electively to be Joe Working Americans. Not that Joe American should be vilified for most are honest hard working productive members and citizens of society that indeed provide a marketable service. Nonetheless, Joe American working stiff has no right to the earned wealth of Joe American visionary and/or entrepreneurs. The thing that particularly irritated me were the non-working are barely working sponges who believe they have a right to tap into the property and assets of Joe American working stiff and Joe American entrepreneur. The general themes of the previous sentence are those of one of my favorite author’s books Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead.
One could generalize Libertarianism as something fiscally Conservative and socially Liberal or perhaps fringe Leftist. The social aspects of Libertarianism (SlantRight Editor: If the doc link does not work, you can find “The Immorality of Libertarianism” under the link listed as “Click here to download second paper”.) became the wall of this Born Again Christian’s journey of faith and politics (SA Why Libertarianism Will Not Fly in America). The majority of Libertarians seemed to support morally reprobate principles in the name of Free Choice of all that which does not physically coerce or harm another human being. The end game of socially Leftist Libertarians is the acceptance of homosexuality as normal and an agenda to denigrate Christianity to weaken the Lord’s faith because of a Libertarian perception of religious coercion that would abrogate the Libertarian concept of Free Choice with coercion.
So there you have it. God Almighty is the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. God Almighty is the molder of the clay which we can call humanity. God Almighty indeed endowed His human creation with Free Choice; however Freedom of Choice or Free Will was and is not intended as a license to override the Will of God. Free Choice is endowed in humanity to have the ability to choose between good and evil as defined in God’s Word. Choosing good is choosing Life and Union with the will of God in an eternal harmony. Choosing evil is choosing separation from God Almighty and will result in eternal separation from the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth establishing eternal disharmony which will result in the Second Death. According to Christianity the Second Death or eternal separation from God Almighty is rebellion against God. The disharmony is an eternity in the dimension one can call Hell, Hades, the place punishment for disobedience or whatever euphemism corporeal humanity wishes to appellate to the dimensional realm of separation.
I understand there are Christian Libertarians and honestly I am uncertain how Christian Libertarians relate to absolute Free Choice as long as no harm or coercion occurs with the Free Choice/Free Will of the Creator. So other than a link (SA Christian Libertarians) for you to start your own investigative musing about Christian Libertarianism I wish to move on to a Jewish blogger – Samson Blinded. (SA Samson Blinded the book)
Samson Blinded has a scathing little post that equates Libertarianism with down right Leftism. Personally I don’t think the totality of Libertarianism is about the Collective Leftist utopia in which the government tells citizens what is right and what is wrong and to spread the wealth.
Take a look and tell me what you think.
