Pakistani-Christian calls Hector Aleem a Crook

I have been a frequent supporter of Hector Aleem. Hector is a Pakistani-Christian accused of blaspheming Islam (Ali Sina an ex-Muslim has erudite description of Hector’s plight). If Hector is convicted of this charge, it will be the death penalty for him. It is a capital crime to criticize or lampoon Islam and its prophet/founder Mohammed.

I have been curious why no one in the West has stepped up to aid Hector or even start the process of becoming an exile as a political refugee. Indeed the last Hector Aleem update I received from the Aleem family – Mehwish Aleem in particular – expressed a deep frustration for the seeming abandonment of high profile Western Human Rights and anti-persecution organizations.

I have received a comment from a self-professed Pakistani-Christian that calls himself Naveed. Basically Naveed calls Hector Aleem an exploitive crook who has taken money from other Pakistani Christians in hope of escaping the Islamic atmosphere that is so brutal toward Christianity. Naveed claims he is one of those Christians that were ripped off by Hector.

Is Naveed for real? Is Hector Aleem a crook exploiting Christians? Naveed’s accusation thus impugns the whole Aleem family who has been jointly using the Facebook platform to build some followers so that Aleem is not forgotten abandoned to cruel Islamic justice. That is to say the whole Aleem family is also a bunch of crooks scamming anyone for money like Naveed claims Hector had done before his incarceration.

Here is my observation. Naveed makes no reference to Hector being tried for blaspheming Islam. It sounds very much that Naveed is willing to give up Hector to capital punishment for ripping Christians as well as his self off. If Hector committed a flimflam crime against Christians or anyone for that matter, it would seem the Islamic Pakistan would be please to prosecute Hector for scamming. Thus my first instinct is to sense Naveed is a trouble maker adding misery to the Aleem family.

I’ll let you decide. Below is Naveed’s comment.

As I read about Hector Aleem. I like to explain: I am a Christian that lives in the township Lahore. We never have any problem in Pakistan as Christians. Mr. Hector is guilty and fault. He is a greedy and kindless as well as a great liar. He took a lot of money from people to send them to other countries while he is running an NGO; however Hector never did that and he did not return the money. I am also one who was affected. So please do not help him as well as tell people about his great lying. We have a case on him in court but still he is not returning our money. He is showing himself innocent that’s really crazy. I think God took a revenge on him.
